Colby Gallagher: Have been here many times, food is usually good and service tends to be fair. They last two times I went the service was markedly worse. Had reservations for a very early dinner at hibachi - the restaurant was essentially empty and they would not seat me until my entire party was present. I would have gotten a drink and an appetizer had they sat me. My party consisted of 4 adults a 7 year old and a1 year old- we sat at a hibachi table. Since we had a six person party they insisted we order 4 hibachi meals, one of the adults has a gluten allergy so she ordered sushi- this did not count as a meal we had to order an extra meal for my one year old. Our server was very unpleasant and messed up my order. I have always like the sushi but the service has never been great and is consistently declining. I will not be returning.

osee dewitt: The sashimi here is amazing. They visit the fish markets in Boston twice weekly, so the fact that we get to enjoy fish this fresh in western Massachusetts is a miracle. Prices are great, service is awesome, wait for takeout is never long, even on Fridays/weekends. Sandry, the girl working the counter and running food, is a sweetheart (and not too hard on the eyes). The day I learned about Kaisen was the day my life here improved tremendously. Thanks guys!!!!

Manager kinda rude when told about salmon. “Oh you don’t want it well done?” Salmon No. will not go back.

Anita Cross: We have been going there since 2014 for my daughters birthday every year because hibachi is her absolute favorite. We have noticed that every year(the service) seems to be getting worse but have stayed loyal because it is very close to us and the food has always been good. Tonight the service was the worst we have ever had. We had a reservation for 7 and arrived early. We were sat and waited for a waitress. The waitress seemed very annoyed to even be there. A couple of us ordered drinks and the other people at the table were trying to ask but she walked away. She came back and was very rude and not attentive at all. No one was asked if they would like another drink so I had to go ask for someone to come and serve us and the other people who were not even with us. The cook came and did an excellent job but the waitress was no where to be found! Finally dinner was over and I had to find the waitress to ask her for a desert for my daughter.The waitress came we sang happy birthday and not 5 minutes later the manager told us that she was sorry but we had to leave because they had to seat other people! I had already paid and left a 20% tip(that I wish I hadn’t)We spent over 400 . I spoke to the manager trying to explain how rude that was and she basically could have cared less. Our reservation was for 6 and at 720 we were told we needed to go so they could seat othersWe will never go there again! Had they had adequate service we would have been in and out like they want!! kayhrly3: I was blown away by how rude the main server was to our party. Everyone in our party of 14, including two 8 year old girls, noticed how bad of an attitude this woman had with us. Started right from the beginning with the drink orders. Just very short, not friendly, and you could feel her irritation with us. Then she asked us if we were splitting the check and we replied yes. She actually ROLLED her eyes, SCOFFED, and said, "well how are we going to do this!?" This was said in the most rude tone that I have ever come across in any type of customer service experience in my life. My whole party was looking around at each other, wondering what was going on. After she brought out the drinks, she like tossed the straws at us and took some of the drink menus and slammed them down into a caddy. It was so aggressive and had all of us on edge. When my 13 year old son went to order from the kids menu, she questioned his age, as we didn't realize it was for 10 and under, and she was so hostile towards him about it and he didn't even know what was going on. He told her his age and she said, "13?! No you get regular size!" I snapped back at this point and told her to give him the hibachi sides then because he didn't need a whole adult meal, as he doesn't eat half the things that come with it. Luckily the chefs and the other wait staff were very pleasant but we wanted to leave after being treated that way at the start. It was so uncomfortable and put a little damper on the reason we were there, which was to celebrate 2 birthdays. Food was decent but really not worth the price. Nothing special really. I would not go back and will not be recommending this place at all.

Alarea Dickinson: This place was not very welcoming at all. I had reserved a large group to be there and a few people were arriving late. The manager herself was having an issue with this and became very hostile towards me. She began raising her voice at me stating we need to have everyone present and that there were no exceptions. We then accepted her decision although not happy about it and when we began to sit at our table designated by her the manager, she began telling us where to sit and then began moving my coworkers belonging without her permission. After that she then told us that we could sit where we want and when I asked for clarification she began raising her voice at our whole party. She then made negative comments in regard to us being teachers so we then asked to speak to a different manager and the waitress then laughed at my face. Needless to say we left. Beware going here if you have a big group.

She insulted me and tried to blame me by claiming that it was somehow my fault. There was no apology or empathy. Please do not go to this restaurant! You will get sick, they will not care and charge you extra!

Michael Madsen: This place is fantastic. Just Hidden Gem is found in a Plaza in springfield. They have Top Notch hibachi and the service is very good. I would definitely make a reservation because they fill up very quickly. Autumn Hines: This is normally my go to Japanese spot but I don’t think I’ll order from here again. I fully understand that food cost are rising which is reflected in the pricing but giving less food while charging more just doesn’t sit right with me. I got the Ichiban Salad as normal, but it was prepared very cheaply, less than half the amount of crab/mango/cucumber shreds and instead mixed in with a spring salad mix. Never have I ever seen it prepared this way, very disappointing. I tried something new, to me at least; the yakitori chicken. To be displeasure, it was far from grilled chicken, it was more like dehydrated, again, very unpleasant. The chicken on its own had no flavor and the peanut sauce that accompanied it was super sweet. Overall, I am not happy with this experience and will look into finding a new, more reliable and worthwhile option.

Ian Hathaway: The first thing I love about this place is the staff. A friendly group of real down-to-earth people keep this place running smoothly and make every visit feel like I’m coming home from a long trip in which I have experienced multiple flight delays and unwanted layovers until finally a breath of fresh friendliness fills my lungs as I saddle up to the bar. The second thing I love is the food. The recently expanded sushi menu provides all the delicious flavors I crave when cylindrical food is on my mind. And who asked for a low-cost ramen option when getting over the hardest day of the week? NO-ONE! We were all too scared! But they knew what we were thinking and provided their Monday special without even a second thought. The third thing I love is the drinks. While I’m mostly a beer drinker, my wife enjoys their delicious mixed drinks crafted with care and kindness which melt away those thoughts and aforementioned flight delays. The fourth thing I love is that when we come to play cards at the bar, the lighting makes the cards a funny color, and who doesn’t love fun new playing card fluorescence?!

Everything was really good and made very quickly. Nothing was super greasy and portions were large. Would definitely eat here again next time we’re at the casino.

NappyHead Dels: While I expected the place to be overpriced (which it was), I didn’t expect the food to be disgusting (which it was). I’d highly recommend the drive a few miles up to Forest Park if you’d like some good Asian food.

Liana Wilson: Kiyomi is always a pleasant experience for me and my boyfriend!! Walking into their restaurant we are greeted each time with a warm welcome and seated quickly. The food is delicious, authentic, and full of quality ingredients....It's rare that I am impressed by restaurants and this one does it every time! My go to roll is a salmon mango avocado and this one is the best I've had yet....try it with soy paper! We had the tom yum soup, padthai noodles with shrimp, sushi, and general tsao’s chicken. Each was exquisite and the presentation was phenomenal. Brian: I ordered Kani salad, Philadelphia roll, California roll, and Salmon roll. The fish was fresher than some of the bigger restaurants in the area and the sushi was fantastic. I hope this company manages to stay open because the food is fantastic and the prices are good.

Ryan Kane: Order any or all appetizers and you will be happy. Softshell crab and gyoza are especially fantastic as are any of the tempuras. Yaki soba was great! Sushi was good. We haven't tried any of the entrees yet. This is definitely a new favorite.

The chicken fingers tasted fresh; rice was on point. Asked for tiny bit spicy plain fried rice and it was perfect. Will definitely only be getting from here in the future.

Eugene Thurston: Me and my sister went to the restaurant a few days ago. The food is absolutely delicious I really enjoy the grill vegetables the steak was cooked to perfection. The chef is also entertaining. All the food is cooked right in front of you. The chef seem to use their spatulas like they're beating a drum. And when they say fire they mean fire fire comes out and kind of comes close to you but doesn't hurt you. You can really feel the heat from the flames. The wait staff is very friendly and nice. I highly recommend getting the fried ice cream it is very delicious.

Amber J: We have been to many hibachi restaurants, and this one was hands down our favorite!! We just moved from New York, and we found our new sushi spot! Everyone was so friendly, and the food and drinks were absolutely perfection. I couldn’t get over how big the side salads were either! They had plenty of dressing on it too which I love! If you’re looking for a tasty cocktail, I highly recommend the Scorpion bowl as well!! We are already looking forward to coming back!

danielle morse: Im not one to leave reviews but Sumos made me. I wish I could give zero stars truly. I’m Absolutely repulsed. The staff had me absolutely disgusted. I’ve also noticed the two times I’ve been there the boss or manager (not sure who) was absolutely purely disrespectful to his employees and seemed very unprofessional when speaker to the woman servers. The food also made me incredibly sick and I should’ve known because it looked dirty. The hibachi chef was absolutely lovely but I was truly appalled at how unprofessional this “boss” or manger was. I will not be returning unfortunately.

miss Clee: This place is amazing! The food taste so delicious. There is no other place that taste like this. The sushi habatchi is amazing. The drinks are watered down so I wouldn't get a drink unless you get liquor on the rocks. The cooks have great personality.I would like to say that you guys have improved on your drinks . 🍸 it was about 2 years ago that this happened but I just recently went last weekend and I will tell you that the blue Hawaiian was amazing. You can tell by the color compared to the first blue Hawaiian in the other photos.
