Gary Brown: We've adopted 2 dogs and several cats over the years here and have been very happy with them. We would like to say that Rochelle has been especially kind and helpful. She is wonderful! We feel like she is family, she's always there to help!!
Jane Dymek: The experience of fostering a dog was horrible. The dog’s needs and my willingness to do everything humanely possible to adopt a dog with special requirements did not satisfy the “manager” of WARL. I went home without my dog which stayed in a loud, poorly run environment instead of a loving large fenced in yard. I told the “manager” to call if there was a reconsideration. I fostered for a week, technically it was not “my” dog but was more than willing to adopt him and take on the “liability “.I can’t imagine what more were they looking for? I did not feel heard, welcomed or recognized. A sad experience with a sad dog left behind.

Jennifer Salmonsen: Regarding the reception I received at the rescue league, the team must be overworked, underpaid and unappreciated. I had tried unsuccessfully to speak with a member of the team about a pet I really wanted to adopt. Via email, and phone , answering machine. Never an answer from any staff members. I am an animal lover. Very disappointed.

Nick Lecuyer: Worst place to go to. Tried to get one dog and offered to pay the fee twice and was told no that they want to let more people see the dog first. Then they let another family adopt the dog even tho I was the first one to see the dog and give a application before everyone. Owner is not friendly at all and will never go there again.

Mallory Stanton: My 13 year old pup managed to get out in Southbridge MA. I contacted just about every Animal Control officer in surrounding towns for help. Ann was beyond generous in doing everything she could to get us reunited with our dog. Unfortunately, she didn’t have the authority to release the dog as he was found in Southbridge but she did absolutely everything she could and even called me after hours to give me an update when our local Animal Control officer didn't. Thank you.

Avery Walsh: We took our puppy here to be spayed last month and I can't say enough about the wonderful staff and services there. I highly recommend them!! After I was quoted $1,000 to have my dog spayed by my local vet I looked for other more reasonable rates and am so happy to have found Sterling!

Amy Camp: I had such a great experience with their spay/neuter clinic. I had been nervous to bring my energetic kitten to get neutered, but as soon as I dropped him off I knew he was in good hands. Everyone who I interacted with was so kind and helpful to answer any questions. My cat is healing perfectly and the surgery was clearly done with care. I am so thankful that I found this clinic. The prices are extremely reasonable as well. I would feel confident recommending this place to anyone who was looking. Thank you so much!!

Justine Monthony-Eaton: We love our local shelter! We got our 2yo rescue there in 2021 and the staff was super helpful. We've been back since then to meet other dogs and see if we can eventually adopt a sibling for her since she's reactive to other dogs and everyone has been helpful and patient with us even when we leave without an adoption.
XoxoGaby: I brought my beloved cat Simba in for neuter surgery. I have no words for all the people who helped me in this place, they are very polite girls. The surgery went well and there were some doubts in whichthey answered me withpatience by email. If I could I would give it 10 stars.
Steve Booth: Got a puppy from here just a couple days ago. Their visitation setup is unnecessarily complicated. It would seem as though keeping the process difficult benefits them somehow.?...we got a puppy that we are very happy with, hence the 4-star rating. Keep working on your process and you'll be scoring 5-star ratings left and right.
Dominique Fitzroy: We adopted our first family dog from this shelter last week and it was such an easy and positive experience. Adoption fees were reasonable and I loved that we could get everything we needed to bring the puppy home. You could tell they love what they do there. Emma is feeling at home and such a sweet girl, I’m very happy we chose this shelter and will definitely choose them again down the road.

C F: I adopted our first dog here and had an incredible experience. The adoption fees were affordable, especially with the package option to take a crate, bed and everything else we needed with him. He is the perfect dog and has the sweetest temperament. He's 3 now but our love for him only grows each day!Our second puppy whom we recently got, We brought her to be spayed here. Although it is now a long drive from us, it was so worth it. The staff were as kind as I remember and they did an INCREDIBLE job on her surgery. The incision was so neat and well done and she has recovered so quickly with minimal pain.Best shelter ever, keep up the amazing work! We are grateful for all at Sterling!

Clarence Raby: I brought my friend there to get her cat neutered. And he came home not feeling well but that's understandable but the second day he passed away. What I don't understand is if he was lethargic and had a fever why let him go home and not put him under observation ?? I got a post on Google from the Sterling animal shelter in they were asking if this was a smear campaign and is not a smear campaign this is what happened I was there it was a the cat was named Grayson he was probably 2 ish years old like I said this is not a smear campaign this is just me letting people on Google know since I'm a guide
