The shop not only has a hanging reminiscence of the previous purposes of the space: mechanic's garage and dinner with high ceilings, spanning windows, and a countertop equipped with neon signs, but also embodies both barbershop and barber. Each section had it's own feel and the decor was relaxing, inviting, and offered ping pong for the bored or fidgety.My barber Drew did a great job! He was attentive, concise, and took pride in his work. He was pleasant and laid back, easy to talk to during the cut and beard trim. One if the other barbers arrived, greeted everyone with a warm welcome and fist bump, those being barbered included, and began cutting a young boy's hair with patience and joviality. The Spotlight Series TV: We were in Worcester, Massachusetts for a wedding. My husband needed his head shave because we forgot his shavers at home. Well Axe to the grind lives up to their name. I have never felt my husband head so smooth. We now have a place for him to go to get that bald head clean if ever we are back in Massachusetts. Thank you to the whole staff.
Michael Laks: I went to Axe to Grind for a beard trim on my full but scraggly beard, I asked the barber to clean it up a bit and line up the top. He didn't seem to have much experience working with full beards and spend more time trimming the hair around my ears than trimming my beard (He didn't do any cleaning up on the length or hairs that were sticking out). He then brought the bottom of my beard in way too tight, to the point where he removed all the fullness from the bottom and ruined a beard I've been growing for 5 months (to the point I went straight home and shaved it off). He also gave me an insane amount of razor burn while shaving my face, didn't use any shaving cream while using the straight razor, and then to top it all off actually cut my cheek with the straight razor. I am very disappointed in my experience at this barber shop. It looks like a nice place and if you're going to have a standard haircut or a fade or something done it seems like they'd do a good job, but if you have a long beard and want it trimmed, DO NOT GO HERE. P C: What's the use of a barbershop that doesn't accept walk-ins. I've got my hair cut here and it's came out anywhere from needs to be fixed to amazing but I won't bother. You walk in and there's 4 people sitting in their chairs texting. Nobody's got time for a cut though. So you walk back out with your 50 bucks.

Derek Griffin: Change of time then change of time with out even picking up the phone. Then canceled twice…I wanted to add more this this. So this is my second attempt to make an appointment, the first time they canceled with no explanation. I did decide to give it another shot seeing that it was highly recommended.My second time was another disaster. I booked online which was a good convenience. Then they had to change the time. All done through text which I expressed should have really warranted a phone call.Then at 8:30 pm I get a text (yes a text) to move my appointment again. I understand stuff happens and it did as the barber had car troubles. I had to decline due to an event that I had during that time frame.I just declined. The fact to move it abs change it abs cancel it being a first time customer kind of sucked and it was the second time.Now comes the most professional part. The owner texted me and these are the attachments to the thread!!Still no phone call! It is amazing to truly think that the owner wanted to reach out but couldn’t take the time out to pick up the phone.Texting it great but when it comes to business it’s a NO for matter that need attention. Hope they learn a quick phone call could have solved this but I wish them the best!

N.: Says open- just took the half hour ride here and the place is locked up at 613. What’s the point of having hours if you don’t follow them? I suggest calling before you go. Lame.

Cam Dudley: Store closed over 10 minutes early with no warning and the person inside clearly saw me at the door, ignored me, counted down the drawer and left. Lazy employees and bad service. I shouldn't expect anything more from this part of town. My purchase would have taken less than two minutes and I arrived over ten minutes before closing time.

Sheri Hanlon: This location is one of my favorites! I’m a licensed cosmetologist and I always go to Sally’s once a week sometimes more to get supplies! The staff there are extremely helpful and knowledgeable! I noticed they have replaced the whole staff over there, which is why they where probably closed a couple times. Either way I still enjoy going to this sally beauty and I appreciate all the advice and tips the staff have given me. I noticed a few people wrote reviews saying they where closed and seemed upset but we are and where in a pandemic and they replaced the entire staff I believe except one. I highly recommend going to this location!!

She went above and beyond and spent time looking for the hair dye I was looking for on top of being very friendly and professional to my three children that came in with me. I told her I had no clue what I was doing in the store and boom she made me feel comfortable and confident! Will come back just because of her service! She instantly welcomed me when I entered unlike the other sallys I had just left from that had better reviews, great customer service rep, educated on hair and products and isnt afraid to go that extra mile! chase mcafee: I called the store and the associate was helping me out over the phone because I was rushing to get to the store before it closed and I got there 1 minute to spare and they wouldn’t even let me purchase what I so desperately needed. Why help me and say you are putting the items at the register then proceed to not let me purchase the items. I wish I could give a review with zero stars. BlackDruidWolf: First off I want to say how pleased I am with the improvements of this location! I started shopping Sally many years ago when I lived in NH. I found this place when I moved to MA. It was close and convenient but at the time it was not a pleasant experience. The women/girls who worked there were very snooty and rude to me, and so after only a year or so I stopped shopping here all together.I learned of some products from a friend and decided to give them a 2nd chance. I was greeted right away when I entered, and from the opposite side of the store! The ladies were very attentive and friendly! Never once did I feel ugly or undeserving of being there as I previously had.It was very clean and organized and the young woman who helped me was very knowledgeable about her store and the products within. She gave me very nice advice. I complimented the place before I left as I was breathing a sigh of relief. It's not easy for women to shop beauty products... so many out there are snobby and judgy. I no longer see that here, very refreshing! I'll definitely go back! Thank you!

Carol Tomlin: I really love the One'N'Only Argan Oil hair Color 8G. I would have given 5 stars but I got extra Hair color last time I was in the area. I bought 2 of the color & 2 developer. The staff person found one of my color in the showroom but had to go into the back room to get the second tube. I had almost finished one of the color tubes which was fine. Doing my hair this morning I had to use the new tube of 8G color. My hair turned out much darker . Box was marked 8G light golden blonde & it turns out the tube was actually 7G medium golden blonde so now when we are done with Covid I will have to address this error with the store staff, return the 7G & get the 8G instead.

When it's your turn you hop up on the antique barber chairs. Very comfortable just like I remember as a child. Very fair pricing and never rushing to finish.
