Barney's Bicycle: what do users think?
Stephen Maranda: I needed a bearing for a rear hub. I called Barney's to get prices. It turned out I was able to purchase a better quality rim, and have my old freewheel transferred to the new rim, all cheaper than what it had cost me to have the original rim rebuilt a year prior by another unnamed bike shop (that rebuild lasted only 2 rides). The new rim is exactly what I needed. I was really pleased with the straigh service, and I definitely saved money by visiting Barney's. 5 star experience
Galen Oettel: Incredibly nice and friendly staff. They made a few small tweaks on my bike right on the spot, free of charge. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for bike repairs!
Rick Tuthill: I had a flat tire and they fixed it in 20 minutes.
Eddy: I send an citizen foldable bike to replace the front tube. They fixed it. I took the bike for a ride and left it on the garage. Next day same problem. I went back the guy was nice he fixed it again no charge. When I went home I observed the chain was messed up! I called and he said we didn’t know how to fold the bike thats why that happened 😡. You have a bicycle shop and don’t know how to fold a foldable bike! Ask me! Thats why I gave 3 starts only. They need to improve
Ben Peterson: Good selection of parts and great advice
Greatest Ever: I have an electric bike that isn’t any different than a normal bike, besides being powered by a battery. I called the day prior to ask if I needed to make an appointment to have the bike checked. The person who answered the phone told me it was not by appointment, it’s a show up and go from there process. So that’s what I did the next day. I took the bike down to the shop expecting to have the work done. Both workers I interacted with acted as if they were out of their league. I was told that he didn’t have the “right equipment” to work on such bike. I needed air in the tires, missing hardware, the front brakes repaired, and a chain greasing. Apparently these guys are so incompetent they don’t think an electric bike is a bike and they need special equipment to work on it. I’m calling their just jealous, lazy and they aren’t worth your business. Go elsewhere!!
Diana Gould: Great friendly services. Works with you to solve whatever you need. Very accommodating. Good selection of accessories. Have recommended to many friends.
Michael J Stalcup: Excellent service & impeccable selection of everything you could ever ask for; expert staff you can tell is treated well. Highly recommended.
Loriann Hawkins: They were very knowledgeable and helpful. Prices were good too!
Domenico Russo: Critical:Professionalism,Responsiveness
jason soderblom: They were very helpful here. I highly recommend
Francisco Armenta: The owner and his staff were extremely friendly and attentive even with the limitations of covid. My only regret is not finding them sooner when I first arrived in Worcester. If you need to get a bike, repairs or have questions answered these are your guys
Robert Corcoran: I purchased a Fuji Nevada from Barney. He was very knowledgeable about all their bikes.
Dan Stallings: Once again exceptional sales and service.I got another bike.
resean dupree: Very friendly, organized and great customer service. Drove down from New Britain CT to pick up my son SE bike, and loved the service that we received so much, that I planned on going back to purchase a bike for my self.
Jason Girard: Good friendly staff will help you out with what ever you need.
Robert Lee: Bike sucks
Benny Buddy: Great local shop with good selection of new and used bikes and gear. I bought a used hybrid road bike there after testing a couple others with no sales pressure and am very happy. What I like most is Peter isn't like some shop owners who get snobby when you're not there for a $4000 bike. Highly recommended
Phillip Baisden: I've been going here for years never had any issues really know what they are doing and great customer service always able to get me what I'm looking for so I can continue enjoying my ride
Mark Prince: My family has purchased at least 6 bikes at Barney’s since the 70’s.A few years ago, my bike was taken from my front porch. The would be thief attempted to sell it to Barney’s. The shop recognized my bike and called the police. A few days later I had my bike back. This is the power of a great local bike shop - To recognize a customer’s bike, even when the customer isn’t present.Barney’s has always had quality products and great service.
Anthony Papandrea: Great Bikes, Selection, Service!

Fritz's Bicycle Shop: what do users think?
James Cornwell: I have been bringing my bicycles to Fritz's for about 4 years. And in that time I have saved so much money. Like everyone else says they are also very nice. Other bike shop are very rude. And make you feel like your business is irrelevant.
M Smitty: Can't say enough good about this place, Aaron has gone above and beyond to fix issues and is very knowledgeable and friendly.
Alec W: Really great place! Very knowledgeable
japnit kaur: Aaron was very patient, attentive to details and helpful. Helped fine tune my bike quickly. Did not over-charge unlike bike shops in Shrewsbury or Westborough.
nicktherange: Very kind gentleman who works there, got my bike fixed up and put add ons for a reasonable price. Very trustworthy and honest. Will be coming back :)
PAUL LEBLANC: Very friendly, good prices, nice job fixing my bike.
Ray Stevens: Super helpful, customized customer service makes this a place you can trust for bike repair and maintenance. I just stopped in for my most recent repair, and everything was great!
Chrismetal1 adventure channel: Excellent customer service and great inventory.
Jamie Blair: Took my old Specialized bike in for a tune up, and it's never worked better. I didn't know old bikes could work this well. The people at Fritz are either really skilled at what they do, or they use magic.
Abby: I took my little sister's bike here because it had a problem. They were able to fix it within 5 minutes of me getting there and we're very friendly. It was a great experience and we could not be happier. Now my sister is back riding her bike .
t k: I thought my shifters were just plain worn out and had to be replaced. Brought the bike into Fritz's and Aaron explained to me what was happening, and rather than replacing them he thought he might be able to fix them. He told me it may be a week or 2 with all the repair work they had in the queue, but he called me later that day to tell me the bike was all set. He repaired the shifters, replaced brake pads, adjusted everything, and all for a GREAT price! I highly recommend Fritz's!
Davif Lizotte: Aaron is amazing. Spends time to explain. Gives options. Will coach to help you fix your bike. Realistic. And loves the sport.... would not go anywhere else.
Josiah Mangiameli: Aaron was direct, helpful and honest. This has quickly become my go-to place for bike work.
D Pimentel: Aaron is terrific! He took great care of us and our bikes. Bought a new bike from him and he stood by it correcting some issues from the manufacturer. We highly recommend Aaron.
Sean O'Connor: I recently took my mountain bike in for service, they replaced the disc brake pads. Less than a week later I broke my rear derailleur and needed a replacement. Both times the service was great, turnaround was quick and price was very reasonable. I will continue to use them as my "go to" bike shop!
Haley Baron: Great local bike store! Charged a very fair price for service and was super fast in getting my bike back to me.
Mike O'Farrell: Reached out to Fritz's after seeing how close they were to Central Rock Gym and decided to reach out to them about a technical issue I was having and couldn't solve. The team was fantastic, professional and friendly; they got the job done the very same day and at an extremely reasonable rate. The shop itself had an awesome vibe and lots of unique and interesting bikes of all types along with great accessories and options for all types of riders. Most surprisingly was the shop downstairs, they had everything to repair bikes but also a vast selection of Park Tools and parts that most other shops have to special order.Definitely a new fan and looking forward to heading back soon!
Tara K: I stopped in with an ancient bike with a busted quick release axle. They fixed it in 5 minutes, were super nice, and I successfully tested out the new axle on a 13 mi ride right after 👏🏽
Deborah Martin: Fantastic service, always.
Michael Dunham: Awesome service from a knowledgable team
Brandon O'Neal: I love this place because they have great service, a wide range of bikes to purchase and skilled bicycle technicians.
