Robert Page: Excellent and very fast service!
Andy: Best bikeshop in Worcester. Took my self upgraded ebike in for the installation of two inline brake sensors. the installation was done without fuss correctly. i screwed up my front brake; it was replaced correctly. Their tune up was reasonably priced and done correctly. I bought my Trek over 20 years ago; it looks and works like new. Thanks guys.

Stephen Maranda: I needed a bearing for a rear hub. I called Barney's to get prices. It turned out I was able to purchase a better quality rim, and have my old freewheel transferred to the new rim, all cheaper than what it had cost me to have the original rim rebuilt a year prior by another unnamed bike shop (that rebuild lasted only 2 rides). The new rim is exactly what I needed. I was really pleased with the straigh service, and I definitely saved money by visiting Barney's. 5 star experience
Galen Oettel: Incredibly nice and friendly staff. They made a few small tweaks on my bike right on the spot, free of charge. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for bike repairs!

Eddy: I send an citizen foldable bike to replace the front tube. They fixed it. I took the bike for a ride and left it on the garage. Next day same problem. I went back the guy was nice he fixed it again no charge. When I went home I observed the chain was messed up! I called and he said we didn’t know how to fold the bike thats why that happened 😡. You have a bicycle shop and don’t know how to fold a foldable bike! Ask me! Thats why I gave 3 starts only. They need to improve

Greatest Ever: I have an electric bike that isn’t any different than a normal bike, besides being powered by a battery. I called the day prior to ask if I needed to make an appointment to have the bike checked. The person who answered the phone told me it was not by appointment, it’s a show up and go from there process. So that’s what I did the next day. I took the bike down to the shop expecting to have the work done. Both workers I interacted with acted as if they were out of their league. I was told that he didn’t have the “right equipment” to work on such bike. I needed air in the tires, missing hardware, the front brakes repaired, and a chain greasing. Apparently these guys are so incompetent they don’t think an electric bike is a bike and they need special equipment to work on it. I’m calling their just jealous, lazy and they aren’t worth your business. Go elsewhere!!

The shop recognized my bike and called the police. A few days later I had my bike back.This is the power of a great local bike shop - To recognize a customer’s bike, even when the customer isn’t present.Barney’s has always had quality products and great service.

Jerry T: While heading down the rail trail my new to me ebike got a flat tire. We happened to be near Assebet Bike with no tools, tubes or knowledge how to change a tire. We went into Assebet bike and Jerry was great took the bike right back and replaced the tube showing me the nail that I ran over. Then Jerry took the time to set us up with the proper tools to do the job ourselves if and when this will happen in the future. Thank you!

Got all the way to the trail for my bike chain to keep falling out, and the gears wouldn't stick.My regular shop couldnt see the bike for over a week, so I called around. As soon as I called these guys they said they'd take a look at it so I brought it in, and they fixed the issue right then and there. I still get to bike and leaf peep on my day off thanks to this place! Thank you!
shawn Russell: Place is a joke guy completely messed up my son's brand new bike didn't even tighten nothing, everything was out of alignment then I called to resolve it and the guy gave me attitude over the phone saying it was a cheap bike when clearly nothing was put together properly. I was lucky to find a beautiful Bianchi C-Sport 1 that Assabet had in stock, went over to test ride it, and purchased it a couple days later. Jerry was very helpful in making sure the bike fit me properly, and never pressured me to make a decision. I could tell I was in good hands.The shop itself is in a really cool old mill building, and they have a wide selection of bikes even with the difficulties of the pandemic. You get a 10% discount on accessories with the purchase of a new bike, and a free 30-day tune up. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Assabet to anyone looking for a bike!

The equipment they used functions flawlessly. This is the second time I’ve used Assabet. The first time they replaced worn chain and cranks. Very happy with that job too.

I've bought multiple bikes here, had repairs done, parts installed, and they even built me a set of custom wheels, and I keep coming back.
chris carlson: This was my first time in. After being told a tuneup and new tire would take anywhere from 5-12 days from every bike shop in the city I was recommended to Southbridge Bicycles. I tell you I couldn't have been happier with the service. I asked for an estimate on the time and Jon told me he could probably have it done today! I work third shift so this was a lifesaver for me. And to beat all he is still carrying normal business hours, another blessing for someone who sleeps during the day. I was not looking forward to staying up until noon for the local shops to open.
