I sent her because she would do good with listening for few days then she wouldn’t. I received daily text messages with videos and pictures to show her progress. The e collar which is used to trained has significantly helped her and I. Luna now listens to commands so I’m able to let her get that energy out that she needs.

Steven Wong: My dog Stellah a GSD was having trouble listening to her family and was over protective of her parents. She was 2.5 years old when we decided to give kiwis dog training a call.Kirstie and Nick came to our house one Sunday afternoon to visit with Stellah and see how she acted in our house and with other dogs. After the meeting we decided to send Stellah with them for over two weeks the results speak for themselves. Stellah now comes when she’s told and parks herself in a seated position next to us when she is called. Her off leash recall is great and her overall behavior around other dogs is non aggressive.Stellah also goes once a week with kiwis on their pack walk. I have an older (6 yrs old) and very large lab who is a super loving, great dog but was also very anxious, would react badly to most strange dogs, and basically pulled our arms off on every walk. I decided to enroll our dog in their 4 week program and it has been life changing for us and for our dog. Kirstie and Nick are miracle workers. Courtney Collins: We cannot say enough good things about Kirstie and her team at Kiwi's Dog Training Academy. We were at a loss with Franklin who is a black lab mix. He was impulsive, anxious, and at times aggressive. We recently moved into a home without a fenced in back yard and were unsure how we could keep Frank safely at our home. That is where Kirstie came in. She successfully trained Franklin using the e-collar and we can now have him in our backyard safely without concern. We can now take him out in public with confidence which is not anything we would dream about. Many people have come into our home shocked to learn that Franklin is the same god they met previously. Sophie an Australian cattle dog and Matty an Australian Shepard both high energy dogs and unruly were quickly transformed into obedient dogs. They love spending time with Kirstie as they run-to her car and jump in. We get videos from Kirstie showing the day’s activities, which I find reassuring. We send them three times a week for maintaining training and we love it.

Nicholas Lundin: My dog Sonny was very reactive and lived his whole life on leash and separate from dogs. Peter Dooley: I got my dog, Rosie, from a family member who couldn’t keep her because she was SO reactive and aggressive towards other dogs. I took her off their hands to keep her from getting put down but then I was in the same situation. She was such a hand full, I couldn’t take her on walks without her barking aggressively and lunging at anyone who walked by. Interacting with other dogs was not even close to a possibility. After 5 days with Kyrstie and a couple training sessions she was a new dog. Still energetic and fun loving but calm around people and even playing with other dogs! It was amazing. She’s still a work in progress but Kyrstie has been a miracle. I don’t have to worry about taking her places or live in fear of running into other dogs. Chris Holguin: Jezzie Paws has a great dog training program. Jess is a passionate, reliable, and trustworthy dog trainer. I brought my 3 year old Australian shepherd due to reactivity challenges we were having. Jess' experience is unmatched, and was shown through the advice & instructions she gave us. She is flexible, and will work with you on your specific needs. We started off with private lessons, and then went into group lessons. We've been going for a little over a year (on & off), as we believe reinforcement/practice is good. Patience is key. You'll have to invest time outside of class to practice what you were taught in order to really see the difference with your four legged friend. This was a lesson we had to learn, but am very happy Jess was there to support us through all of it. If you're looking for a dog trainer, I highly recommend Jezzie Paws.

Diva Emery: I can’t even begin to describe how difficult my dog, Baby, was. He was having issues with obedience and impulse control. He constantly wanted to chew/destroy something, was playing too rough and would often experience triggers that resulted in aggressively lunging at me. Jess taught me how to effectively train and communicate with Baby, and address all of the issues we were struggling with. Baby is much calmer now, more obedient and very cuddly/lovable. Ruth Aoki: Bitty was an 8 year old stray when I adopted her. Although she was sweet and completely house trained, she was excitable. She strained and pulled on the leash, darting out whenever another dog or person walked by. Emma Dauphinais: I adopted a rescue pup from Aruba in early 2023, not knowing much about the "dog training world," as my previous pup was relatively easy to train. My new puppy is considered a "street dog," and the rescue had recommended looking into training w/ someone familiar with things like resource-guarding, socialization, etc. because of this. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed in making sure I was doing "the right thing" with training. I found Lizzy online, and was excited (and also relieved!) to see her fear-free/force-free approach. We've been working with Lizzy in 1:1 sessions, and have also taken her fabulous recall class online. Lizzy is SO knowledgeable and passionate about this work, is excited to share what she knows, and teaches at a pace that works for us and our pup. We saw progress the first day after meeting w/ Lizzy when implementing techniques for crate training, potty training, re-directing behaviors outside like grabbing sticks/offering trades, etc. Our sweet pup is almost 5 months and has done beautifully with Lizzy's recommendations (that are evidence-based!). I always feel comfortable asking Lizzy questions, and she always addresses them thoroughly without rushing. She really listens to what we have to say and provides appropriate resources/follow-up (books, local spots to bring the pup, recs for socializing pup/our senior cat). Lizzy's passion for what she does is so evident, and it's a privilege to get to work with her. I'm so happy to have found her and her services, and would recommend her 1:1 training or class without hesitation. A bonus - we feel pretty cool when our 5 month old pup has better recall than almost every other dog we know! We signed up for the course with a lot of trepidation - half-expecting to struggle with our fiercely independent husky. We also had a lot going on at the time - finding daycare options, return to office, weekend trainings, among others.The tips and techniques were all great - from high-value treat suggestions, environmental considerations, to helpful equipment. But the class' biggest value prop was the supportive environment and Lizzy's targeted advice. She also offered "office hours" where you can schedule time before or after class to walk through a difficult situation.Over the weeks, we found ourselves actively looking forward to each session, eagerly sharing our (and listening to others') challenges. Kirstie Dobbs: We hired Lizzy to help us find a second dog that would be a good match for our blind senior chihuahua and our senior cat. I HIGHLY recommend working with Lizzy to help navigate the process of choosing and transitioning a new dog into your home. She helped us figure out what type of dog, age, energy level, and past experience would be an appropriate match, which made the process less overwhelming! She also created a transition program tailored to our needs to help our family welcome home the new pup. We have continued with training, and all our pets just love her!

Julie Weisberg: That's my off leash Husky, Arrow. He has great recall. Huskies are known for running away. They are curious wanderers, have a high prey drive & WHOOSH they are gone! I apply the same techniques that Lizzy teaches her students in the, Recall For A Meatball course. Several of my Husky friends & cohorts have taken her class & have raved about it, exclaiming their dogs turned on a dime after learning recall from Lizzy. Once you learn the easy to understand method you will be amazed at how happily your dog comes back to you!

She is extremely well educated and always learning and able to explain the science of the why behind behavior, but more importantly, dogs are her passion and it shows. She is creative in her approach to the individual dog as well as their humans and their overall goals. She never limits dogs to their breed stereotypes and in the course of our training sessions suggested Doug (my adult Treeing Walker Coonhound - who defines the stereotype of “nose on = ears off”) and I participated in her “Recall for a Meatball” course. We are still building on it months after taking the course and both enjoying the freedom of appropriate off-leash time. Rebecca Gwaltney: Disgusted by the lack of compassion or understanding.We signed up and paid for a class at Pack of Paws for our sweet dog, Bo. One week before class was set to begin, our dog tragically died. Pack of paws refused to refund the $400 for a class that we never attended.They also refused to refund the expensive harness/leash that they required us to purchase for the class. He never wore the harness/leash even once.Adding this insult to injury was cruel and unforgivable in my book. I can’t imagine training at this heartless facility.

We have 2 rescue dogs we adopted at the end of 2019 and they both have their own behavioral issues, but thanks to these 2 ladies, they are so much better behaved. I appreciate everything these ladies did to help us with our dogs.

My rescue dog was very timid and I enrolled him in the “Confidence Building for Scaredy Dogs” class which was an excellent way to build his confidence before enrolling him in obedience classes. He now walks into Obedience class confidently and is excited and motivated in class. 10/10 recommend to anyone that owns a dog!

Our pup absolutely loves going to daycare and comes home so tired from playing all day. Murphy has some reactivity issues, so being able to spend time socializing with dogs and the other trainers has really helped his confidence recently. After the holidays we are planning to take some classes there as well!

Kelly Johnson: Would never recommend this place as a Doggy Day care. We took our Aussie here because Terry, the owner, breeds Aussies and she said that our Aussie would always have a playmate. Turns out she was kenneled most of the time. The boarding facilities are small and cramped. Terry uses this place as a puppy mill to make money breeding and showing dogs. The boarding and doggy day care are only to earn money for that. Our dog got into a skirmish with another dog on the way into the boarding facility one day which was quickly extinguished and no dogs were actually hurt and when we came to pick our dog up she had been put into a run by herself and her collar was ripped into two pieces. We were told she was no longer welcome at her facility. As an owner and breeder of Australian Shepherds she should know these dogs are high strung and talkative. Our Aussie is just over a year old and was excited to be going to camp. By the way, the attendant sometimes appeared to be intoxicated. I was never quite sure.
