Kiwi's Dog Training Academy: what do users think?
K S: Kirstie and her team have been working with our 1+ year old Lab and he has made great progress with socializing and meeting new friends ”pooches” and people in public. He goes once a week for pack play off leash and he has shown really nice progress in his training. Had a recent hike this morning off leash up a mountain and he was very responsive to commands when needed “not many at all” with plenty of people hiking with dogs both on/off leash. Very happy with the training and pack at Kiwi’s Dog Training Academy!
Tracey Donovan: It has been a pleasure working with Kristie and Nick they are amazing trainers. My dog Luna husky/malamute was 6 months and went through the 2 week training program. I sent her because she would do good with listening for few days then she wouldn’t. I received daily text messages with videos and pictures to show her progress. The e collar which is used to trained has significantly helped her and I. Luna now listens to commands so I’m able to let her get that energy out that she needs.
Deryn Donovan: We have two dogs that attend camp with Kiwi's and have also completed their training program. We couldn't be happier with the services they have received. Our dogs can go off leash, stay in control and they look forward to going to camp! Kirstie and Nick have completely changed our lives with our dogs, we are able to have guests to the house, take them in public and don't have to fight to get control of them. Our huge dogs were becoming dangerous for us to even walk as they were reactive to other dogs and would pull us. Now we can take them on hikes and not be in fear of approaching other people or dogs. Thanks Kiwi's for helping Teddy and Jackie be their best doggie selves!
Christa Wilde: Kiwi’s helped us muzzle train our dog, it was such an excellent experience that I will be sending my new puppy for day camp! Super impressed with the attention they provide and genuine affection for my dogs.
Katie FitzGerald: Kirstie and her team are excellent! I just brought my dog, Oscar, home and he is like a new boy! He listens, doesn't beg for food or jump up on me or others. Thank you Kiwi Dog Training Academy for all the work you did to help Oscar live his best life!
Brittany Beckwith: I cannot say enough good things about Kirstie and her team. She is such a kind soul and she works so hard at what she does. She really cares for your dog as if it’s her own. She took our pup to the vet when she thought her sneezing was a problem. She is quick to notice any changes in your pets behavior. She took our pet in when we just realized we couldn’t provide her the active, attentive home she deserved. I feel as if we are family now. The difference the 2 week training program made was astronomical. We love Kiwi dog training and will use them in the future!
Briana Cotton: Ty and I couldn’t be more grateful to have come across Kiwi’s Dog Training Academy for our rescue dog, Storm. Storm was a rescue dog who was very reactive and had separation anxiety. He also lacked impulse control and often times did not know how to contain his excitement around other people and dogs. Storm partook in Kiwi’s Dog Training Academy’s 4 week board and training program. Both Kirstie and Nick were very devoted in helping Storm and our family. They made sure to send updates regarding Storm’s progress throughout the program, and assisted with lessons for both Ty and I to participate in. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome, considering Storm has turned into a much more calm and lovable dog. This has allowed us to take Storm on weekly hikes, visit Petco, and enjoy daily walks at ease. Thank you for everything!
Steven Wong: My dog Stellah a GSD was having trouble listening to her family and was over protective of her parents. She was 2.5 years old when we decided to give kiwis dog training a call.Kirstie and Nick came to our house one Sunday afternoon to visit with Stellah and see how she acted in our house and with other dogs. After the meeting we decided to send Stellah with them for over two weeks the results speak for themselves. Stellah now comes when she’s told and parks herself in a seated position next to us when she is called. Her off leash recall is great and her overall behavior around other dogs is non aggressive.Stellah also goes once a week with kiwis on their pack walk. Which reiterates her training and also lets her get out and burn of some energy.Overall we are very happy with the dog training, boarding, and pack walks that Kiwis offers.Just wanted to thank Kiwis dog training for changing our dog for the better.
Rebecca Hansen: I called Kirstie after the rave reviews from a friend who sent their puppy to them. I have an older (6 yrs old) and very large lab who is a super loving, great dog but was also very anxious, would react badly to most strange dogs, and basically pulled our arms off on every walk. Kirstie was very open and honest that his issues could be addressed, but that it would take a bit more time. I decided to enroll our dog in their 4 week program and it has been life changing for us and for our dog. Kirstie and Nick are miracle workers. Our dog, who I couldn't let near a strange dog now runs fine with a pack. I've taken him with me to dog friendly stores and look forward to walks. You aren't just abandoned after the training ... they've taken additional time to work with us as well to make sure that we know how to carry forward. We continue to send him now to Kiwi's for daycare as he loves the day out with his old and new friends! If you are thinking about it, all I can say is do it .. the sooner the better!
roberto moniz: This is Daisy, when we got Daisy she was 6 months old, age didn’t knew how to go down or up the stairs imagine walk on leash, accidents in the house, it was starting to get frustrated, so we found out about Kirsten and Nick tru a neighborhood and we called, let me tell you, two weeks after and I have this amazing puppie, I already did 46 miles with her off leash, obeys all commands always very happy, and when she sees the coming in the drive way !! She jumps all happy…they are amazing at what they do, it’s very impressive.. 100%
Courtney Collins: We cannot say enough good things about Kirstie and her team at Kiwi's Dog Training Academy. We were at a loss with Franklin who is a black lab mix. He was impulsive, anxious, and at times aggressive. We recently moved into a home without a fenced in back yard and were unsure how we could keep Frank safely at our home. That is where Kirstie came in. She successfully trained Franklin using the e-collar and we can now have him in our backyard safely without concern. We can now take him out in public with confidence which is not anything we would dream about. Many people have come into our home shocked to learn that Franklin is the same god they met previously. Not only are we more confident, but Frank is too! He seems less anxious and has more control over himself which has made him a lot more comfortable in our home. We could not be happier with the results. Kirstie and Nick provided multiple updates a day and were available any time we had any questions about the program. The training Franklin received at Kiwi's Dog Training Academy has overall improved our experience with Franklin and made life so much easier! I could not recommend Kirstie and her team enough for any dog training needs.
Kristie Raymond: Kirstie is amazing. My puppy Stanley was a handful and with Kirstie’s guidance and training he has really become a well behaved dog that I can bring anywhere! 5 Stars for sure!
Mariah Linnett: Kirstie was incredible at helping our dog learn that other dogs aren’t scary! She built his confidence so quickly where we was then excited to go and be with her. She did training with us and him and then he went with her some weekdays to get a full day or training and fun! The lessons we learned with the one on one training guide everything we do with him now. We couldn’t be more grateful for all the help and peace of mind Kirstie gave us!
Matthew Chabot: Kirstie has been walking my dog Bruce for several years now. She is kind, caring, and takes exceptional care of him. I cannot recommend her (and her team) enough.
Erin Reilly: I love love love Kirstie and her company! She and Nick are amazing people and amazing trainers. My dog Mia went through the 2 week training program and she currently goes to daycare with them once a week. Mia LOVES hanging out with Kirstie, Nick and the pack. (Also super convenient they pick up and drop off!!) The ecollar training has significantly helped Mia and I manage her triggers, be able confidently train, go on long walks with less and less reactivity and do fun things! Before this training I would avoid long walks with Mia and avoid doing certain things because I didn’t have the tools to manage Mia’s reactivity and help her figure out her emotions. Mia and I communicate so much better now and our bond is stronger! Along with being a great trainer, Kirstie has been such an understanding and supportive friend to me since we’ve started. My family has been going through a tough time since June and she has been so amazing through it all. Honestly so lucky to have found her!
Kristin Joostema: Kirstie and Nick are amazing and Kiwi Dog Training Academy has totally changed my life. My 9 pound Shichon Estelle was a true pandemic puppy who was very nervous around other dogs and I was an equally anxious owner who let my dog run the house. I searched for so long to find a trainer who I felt comfortable with and who I knew would truly care for Estelle and help me give her the best life. I am so happy I found Kirstie and Nick! It has been a month since Estelle participated in the 2 week boarding and training program and she has grown so much. I am now able to communicate with Estelle and she is so much more confident. Her progress has exceeded all of my wildest dreams and Kirstie and Nick have been there every step of the way to help me and Estelle. I can truly say they have made it feel like Estelle and I are part of their pack for life and I feel so confident knowing I have an amazing team behind me forever. I heard so many people say that because Estelle is a small dog she didn’t need training, but I want everyone to know that whatever size your dog is training with Kiwi’s Dog Training Academy will change both you and your dog’s life and will be the best investment you ever make.
Jay Parker: Working with Kirstie is a pleasure. A caring professional who quickly earns your trust. Sophie an Australian cattle dog and Matty an Australian Shepard both high energy dogs and unruly were quickly transformed into obedient dogs. They love spending time with Kirstie as they run-to her car and jump in. We get videos from Kirstie showing the day’s activities, which I find reassuring. We send them three times a week for maintaining training and we love it.
Nicholas Lundin: My dog Sonny was very reactive and lived his whole life on leash and separate from dogs. I tried everything I could using only positive reinforcement, including muzzle training, for years but was unable to successfully help him past it. I still thought he lived a good life though! Then I met Kirstie. Spending one day on a pack walk I knew Sonny’s life was terrible in comparison. Working with Kirstie, she was bold enough to try things that I was too afraid to. She saw the good in Sonny and helped him, and me, to a point that I never would have dreamed of. I still can’t believe it sometimes. He now lives his best life, running off-leash and playing with dogs on hikes and in parks. I don’t have to leave him home anymore, he’s able to come with me to stores and sit at outdoor restaurants and breweries and live a life any dog would be happy to have.Kiwi’s Dog Training Academy has changed my life, and my dog’s life, forever and I can’t thank Kirstie enough
Lauren Cotter: The most amazing dog training academy. My dog had learned so much from attending here. He is a big baby but going to daycare really breaks him out of his shell! Highly recommend!
Peter Dooley: I got my dog, Rosie, from a family member who couldn’t keep her because she was SO reactive and aggressive towards other dogs. I took her off their hands to keep her from getting put down but then I was in the same situation. She was such a hand full, I couldn’t take her on walks without her barking aggressively and lunging at anyone who walked by. Interacting with other dogs was not even close to a possibility. After 5 days with Kyrstie and a couple training sessions she was a new dog. Still energetic and fun loving but calm around people and even playing with other dogs! It was amazing. She’s still a work in progress but Kyrstie has been a miracle. I don’t have to worry about taking her places or live in fear of running into other dogs. She even watches Rosie if I go away and has day care for her to play with other dogs. My pup went from a problem dog that nobody could keep, to a confident dog who can enjoy her life.
Meghan Kotarski: Our dog had such a great experience with the board and train program! Kirstie and her staff were so good with him and he looks forward to their weekly off leash outings. Highly recommend!

I Wuff You Dog Training and Coaching: what do users think?
Rachel Tatarek: Cristina helped our 8-year-old rescue improve her impulse control and reduce her reactivity toward other dogs. We learned a lot from Cristina’s years of expertise and now feel much better equipped as first-time dog owners. Highly recommend her services!
Emily Mauro: Christina is amazing. We did one on one training with Christina for our dog Daisy, who was exhibiting some anxious behavior. She helped us better understand what Daisy was trying to tell us, where she needs boundaries, and how to train calm. She is like a different dog! She is no longer anxious, she is confident, calm, and relaxed. We also have a better understanding of how to control the situation and have tools to help people respect Daisy's boundaries. Christina was supportive, kind, and transparent through the whole process. She was flexible with our busy schedules. We could not be more thankful or speak more highly of Christina and I Wuff You Dog Training.
Bryan Milward: We reached out to Cristina to get some help with our 11 year old Chihuahua mix who’s had longstanding issues with anxiety and aggression. She was extremely helpful at giving us the tools we need to calm him down when he’s freaking out and be more comfortable with people and other distractions. He’s improved a lot in a short time and she did a great job personalizing a program to his issues. Would highly recommend!
Melissa Byrne: To be able to watch my rescue dog begin to use her brain was so amazing. I could not have done this without I wuffyoy dog training..so patient and knowledgeable it was the best choice ever
Nadene Hausmann: Cristina was a wonderful trainer for my dog and me. We focused on overcoming his fears and anxiety, and to improve his ability to leave things around the house he thinks are fun to steal and keep. Cristina has a calm and gentle manner and my dog loved her. I learned a great deal on how better to work with my dog and to make training fun for both of us. Now he does not pull on the leash when walking and he is much calmer. Cristina had great advice on continuing training to reinforce what we learned.I highly recommend dog training with I Wuff You Dog Training and Cristina.
Matt Morris: Cristina has been great to work with. Our dog is so much calmer and well behaved after starting training. Thanks!
Lisa Julian: Cristina was great to work with and it made a huge difference in our dog’s behavior. She shows you the skills you need to train your dog properly.
Maeve Foley: Cristina has been wonderful in helping to train my puppy from a young age. Very professional, works with the individual dog/owner needs, and extremely reliable. Very much recommend, my dog gets so excited to see her!
Laura Chilcoat: My husband and I did a lot of research about local dog trainers before we decided on Cristina. Our 1.5 year old sheepadoodle, Poppy, has made so much progress in the 7 sessions that we have had! Cristina helped us to re-establish some foundational skills and helped to make our puppy calm and comfortable in new/distracting environments. Poppy has grown more confident and her attention has improved tremendously. She listens better, checks in with us constantly, and is getting better at not needing to greet every human and dog that we encounter. We would recommend Cristina to all
Rebecca Vaudreuil: A few months after I adopted Billy (2 y/o Pit mix), he started exhibiting concerning behaviors such as reactivity to other dogs (and sometimes people) and different trauma triggers both in and outside of the home. I immediately started searching for training. Besides being the cutest name of a dog training company I’ve ever seen, Cristina‘s extensive certifications, trainings, and experience stood out above the rest! She came over for the consult session to meet Billy (and me) and learn about specifics to our situation. She took notes and formulated a training plan for us. And yes I mean us; her approach is to train you to train your dog, which worked very well for us! Billy and I completed seven additional sessions with Cristina, during which she gradually taught us strategies to work toward the ultimate goals of modifying his behavior and identifying and working with his trigger response. Additionally, she went above and beyond to meet us in different environments where Billy was struggling, provide guidance on products (harnesses, clickers, treats), and she was responsive to texts as well!Billy continues to work hard in his goal areas and I am much better equipped to help him on this journey with the guidance that Cristina provided for us! I highly recommend her to anyone I need of a dog trainer or even just wants to improve their relationship with their dog!
Armando Montrond: I think at times Cristina acted more like a therapist for me than a dog trainer because I was suffering from the puppy blues hard! But thanks to her my puppy maple has made serious strides in becoming the well rounded pup she is. Cristina is super knowledgeable and has a way of working with dogs that just make them love her so much. My puppy would go crazy with excitement when she saw Cristina (we worked on the going crazy part lol)also my dog had a pretty big fear of walking outside because of a fear of loud cars and engine noises. We couldn’t even go for walks, and with Cristina’s help my puppy is loving going on fear free walks, this is something I didn’t even think would be possible and it might not have been had I not been working with Cristina. I highly suggest if you have a puppy or even an older dog you contact her for help cause it will be life changing for you! She is the best!!
Beth Martin: We’re so thankful we found Cristina! Our excitable giant-breed pandemic pup has come so far since we started training, and he absolutely adores her. We’ve learnt a lot through the process as well! Cristina has been nothing but supportive, training was individualised to our dog, and she has so much knowledge that we’ve been able to apply to our 1 year old. I’ve gained so much confidence as his handler/owner too, which makes a huge difference. We highly recommend her!
Hannah Parlman: Cristina was incredible! She truly helped us turn our rescue dog into the perfect pup! We now have all the tools we need to confidently continue to work with him and keep him on the path Cristina has showed us. Thank you so much!
Heather Williams: Christina was great to work with! My pup was a bit older when we got around to working with her again (2yrs old). She was extremely patient and helpful. She really catered to the specific needs of our family so our pup and her people can experience de our best quality of life together. Would highly recommend!
Sharon Dubrule: Cristina is a seasoned certified dog trainer with many other credentials. She’s helping me train my 9 month old Australian Labradoodle puppy, who by nature is a quite excitable boy! The techniques she uses really works! She’s knowledgeable, respectful of myself, my home and most importantly my fur baby! I highly recommend her. She gave me advice regarding high quality treats for training, harnesses and a tether system for yard play. She is a wealth of information!Sincerely, Sharon
Vicki B: I rescued an older hound dog and I contacted Cristina about training. Cristina was very responsive and friendly and she managed to fit me in very quickly - she even gave me a few pointers over the phone for dealing with a couple of issues we were experiencing. Cristina is patient and calm and my dog absolutely adored her. Her training methods are always positive and her explanations were clear. The whole experience was wonderful and I now have tools and methods for helping my rescue dog be a great dog all because of Cristina.
Julia Randall: Cristina was great! She helped us with basic training for our new puppy and gave us skills to continue reinforcing his good behavior over the course of his life. We are very appreciative and recommend her highly.
Rachel O'Rourke: We had such a lovely experience working with Christina! She was very knowledgeable, reliable, kind, and patient. She was able to teach our dog better manners and helped to build his confidence. We now have the proper skills and tools to continue training our dog. I highly recommend Christina for your training needs.
Mary roe: Christina understands my berry nervous and anxious young dog. She appreciates where I am in the training and how confident I feel which helps in training our puppy. Teddy has some opinions about likes and dislikes and Christina seems to appreciate those quirks. I look forward to our appointments! Thank you!!!
Josh Martin: Cristina is a great trainer. She helped train both our American Bullies. I highly recommend.
Caitlin Henry: Cristina is amazing! She has a wonderful ability to train not just our dog, but also train us to be better owners and handlers. We saw incredible results with our dog after the first session, and every session builds upon the one before it as we grew more comfortable training Olive on the days between training sessions. It was wonderful to be able to train in our own home with a very flexible schedule. Olive loves Cristina and is so excited every time she comes over.

VK Dog Training: what do users think?
Kelsey Briggs: We had a great experience with Veronica. I have a small terrier who was the epitome of “I hear you but I’m not listening” and I needed some help to make walks and obedience less frustrating and more enjoyable for both myself and my dog. I am so glad we found Veronica- we signed up for 5 private sessions in various locations to work on different skill sets and Veronica was awesome. We learned a ton and have a solid foundation to continue to build upon. We also participated in a group class and will continue to do more! Highly recommend!!
Lore Welth: I’ve had a great experience with VK dog training! I was not close to her area so she offered to do a virtual lesson! She was very thorough with all of her information and tips for me! She walked me through the exercises I needed to do with my pup and gave me the confidence to train him! She answered all my questions and continues to check in on our progress! Highly recommend!
ward provost: Veronica is excellent with my yellow lab Max . She has taking him on many hikes and has boarded him when I’ve needed her to. She has also spent some time training max . She has fair prices and She is very trustworthy. I have complete confidence and trust in her when my boy Max is with her . I highly recommend her.
Sylvia Ruiz: Veronica is not only amazing but knowledgeable! She has helped me work with my Redbone Coonhound who is stubborn and her nose gets the best of her. I have learned to work with her nose and her stubbornness in our favor!

Lizzy and The Good Dog People: what do users think?
Rachel Szumel: I just finished up the Recall for a Meatball class with Lizzy and my two dogs. I'm no stranger to training, but this class blew me away! So well put together, wonderful support from Lizzy, completely doable bite-sized homework, and man-oh-man do my dogs come FAST when I say the super secret special word!
heather conley: Lizzy is so down to earth and encouraging! Really enjoyed both her expertise and her willingness to help problem solve and be available to us. Her flexibility and positivity helped set me and my dog up for success.
Emma Dauphinais: I adopted a rescue pup from Aruba in early 2023, not knowing much about the "dog training world," as my previous pup was relatively easy to train. My new puppy is considered a "street dog," and the rescue had recommended looking into training w/ someone familiar with things like resource-guarding, socialization, etc. because of this. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed in making sure I was doing "the right thing" with training. I found Lizzy online, and was excited (and also relieved!) to see her fear-free/force-free approach. We've been working with Lizzy in 1:1 sessions, and have also taken her fabulous recall class online. Lizzy is SO knowledgeable and passionate about this work, is excited to share what she knows, and teaches at a pace that works for us and our pup. We saw progress the first day after meeting w/ Lizzy when implementing techniques for crate training, potty training, re-directing behaviors outside like grabbing sticks/offering trades, etc. Our sweet pup is almost 5 months and has done beautifully with Lizzy's recommendations (that are evidence-based!). I always feel comfortable asking Lizzy questions, and she always addresses them thoroughly without rushing. She really listens to what we have to say and provides appropriate resources/follow-up (books, local spots to bring the pup, recs for socializing pup/our senior cat). Lizzy's passion for what she does is so evident, and it's a privilege to get to work with her. I'm so happy to have found her and her services, and would recommend her 1:1 training or class without hesitation. A bonus - we feel pretty cool when our 5 month old pup has better recall than almost every other dog we know! Not only is it exciting to have our dog listen to us, it's even more exciting to watch her learn and respond to techniques so quickly (she likes to succeed, too!). Five stars is an understatement! Thanks, Lizzy!
Laura Porter: Lizzy is wonderful: extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and insightful. She's been working with our puppy for a few months and has taught him - and us! - so much. I can't imagine a better dog trainer. We'll be with her for life!
Cliff Lim: We took Lizzy's Recall for a Meatball and it exceeded our expectations! We signed up for the course with a lot of trepidation - half-expecting to struggle with our fiercely independent husky. We also had a lot going on at the time - finding daycare options, return to office, weekend trainings, among others. The tips and techniques were all great - from high-value treat suggestions, environmental considerations, to helpful equipment. But the class' biggest value prop was the supportive environment and Lizzy's targeted advice. She also offered "office hours" where you can schedule time before or after class to walk through a difficult situation.Over the weeks, we found ourselves actively looking forward to each session, eagerly sharing our (and listening to others') challenges. It was a very encouraging setup - and we never felt like we lagged behind. Importantly, we saw visible progress with our husky! Towards the final week, she came to us when called WHILE in the presence of other dogs - given how playful and dog-obsessed she is, I'll take that as a win.Our husky still has a long way to go to be sure - but we found ourselves building the foundations for what would be a meaningful and rewarding recall journey.
Maya Kolankowska: We had the pleasure to take Recall for a meatball online class with Lizzy summer of 2022 and it was the absolute best class I have ever taken!!!! I took this class as a dog guardian even if I am a dog trainer. Lizzy's course outline and material is so well organized, marketed and presented. She offers a laid-back option for training if we are busy and I found this to be such a brilliant idea. She provides individual counseling tailored to our needs/questions. I enjoyed EVERY SINGLE CLASS and was so sad at the end of our 5 weeks together. I learned SO MUCH even being a dog trainer who graduated from the same Academy as Lizzy. I am forever grateful for your time, patience, understanding, compassion and love! My clients are benefiting from what I learned and their recalls are SPECTACULAR!!!!!I HIGHLY recommend this class to every dog guardian who wants to teach this important life skill to their dogs and this in a supportive, inclusive and loving environment while having just the BEST of time as well.Rosetta and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!!Love Maya & Rosetta
Bonnie J. Baker: We have been using Lizzy for dog training for the last year with our new pup we adopted during pandemic as well as our senior dog. Lizzy is amazing. She is knowledgeable of dog behaviors and very compassionate and kind. She does an incredible job of communicating a lot of information in a very clear way that we can easily apply to day to day life. She makes each session fun. We highly recommend Lizzy for any and all dog training needs. ~Bonnie and Ali
Katie Titus: I am so grateful to Lizzy for helping our family prepare our pupper friend, Pheeny for some new and scary (to Pheeny) experiences. We needed help with our anxious, reactive, quirky Pheeny to stay with a friend so we could go out of town for my mom’s 80th birthday party . Lizzy worked with us tirelessly, listened to my own anxieties with compassion and care every session. Although we only worked over Zoom, I felt like Lizzy was holding my hand every step of the way. Lizzy is so knowledgeable about force free training and can explain how to make training work for the best possible outcome for people and wee beasties. Of all the Good Dog People, Lizzy is THE BEST. 💓
Heather Condron: With Lizzy our family did not just gain an amazing dog trainer, we also found support, encouragement and a person with tremendous positivity and joy. We quickly learned how important it is to take our lead from our puppy. As a family, we learned from Lizzy to take it slow, lean into rewarding the best behaviors, and be there to laugh at the quirky ones. Lizzy has helped us to find the challenging balance of allowing our dog to be a dog without ruling how we live our lives. We have a dachshund, who by nature barks a lot but Lizzy taught us how to manage the barking and even how to hedge off a “barking fit” before it occurs!Lizzy embraces family and sees how integral it is that all family members participate in training. Her calm and cheerful demeanor worked wonders with helping our 5 year old son to interact with our puppy in a safe and respectful way. All of these new training techniques and behavioral rewards have allowed each member of our family to bond with our dog in our own way.We would be remiss if we did not mention that our dog absolutely adores Lizzy, and NOT just for her treats. She loves her presence, her energy, optimism and general demeanor. When Lizzy arrives, nothing else matters to our puppy. Seeing our dog that happy is an absolute joy.And finally, we want to commend Lizzy’s tremendous professionalism. She sets fair and clear boundaries regarding her availability and prepares for appropriate interactions for both dog and people. Lizzy embraces the challenges of dog training and moves one step (or treat!) at a time. We are just so grateful for her warm presence both for our family but more for our dog. We wholeheartedly recommend allowing Lizzy be part of your dog’s journey.
Joan Forry: I took Recall for a Meatball with our newly adopted dog, Dottie. We had a wonderful experience! Lizzy's compassionate support was so helpful, and she was there for all of our struggles and quirks. The course design is fabulous and makes it easy to learn and come back to if you forget something. Highly recommend Lizzy and her dog training services!
Laura Veckerelli: Lizzy is a wonderful dog trainer and an awesome person! Her positivity is infectious, and everything she teaches us has worked well for our pup! We have done private sessions and her recall class - highly recommend both! She helped us through a hard rescue dog situation with so much compassion and kindness a few years ago too. We cannot recommend Lizzy enough!!!
Les Quindipan: Lizzy is magic! My friends tried other trainers. They have been working with Lizzy with the goal that I’d be able to take care of their fearful dog while they were on vacation. For over a year, I could not get close to their dog without her barking and demanding space.I did one virtual session while Lizzy patiently guided us through a series of exercises with treats and calming body language to ease the dog’s trust. Lizzy read her perfectly. It was remarkable, really. In no time, I could be close and in the same room with no barking. Over a few more visits, I was able to get closer and closer. My friends went on vacation, and their dog and I bonded like besties. We took long hikes and cuddled, and she even gave me subtle nudges ‘c’mon hurry up and get dressed, I wanna hike!’ Most importantly, my friends enjoyed their vacation without the anxiety that their dog would be a challenge to be with. I can’t recommend Lizzy enough!
Holden Svirsky: Lizzy is truly gifted with dogs. I am a colleague trainer and I trusted my own dog to her. She was exceedingly patient with his fearful behavior, kind & helpful for the entire time he spent with her so that he was able to warm up, become comfortable and confident (and actually enjoy himself!)Lizzy also is excellent at play management and dog-dog social skills. She set up both of our dogs for success in a tricky introduction (two spicy and rambunctious boys) and was able to get them to play! She is insightful and creative with her solutions.I regularly refer my clients to her fabulous online Recall for a Meatball class, and they always report back to me how much they learn. If you are looking for a GREAT Dog Person who will support not just your dog, but you, Lizzy is a pro, recommended by pros!
Dale Hannan: Lizzy is a gem. Not only does she show a tremendous amount of love for her own dogs, in her training she shows compassion, knowledge, patience and kindness towards her students who are working with their dogs. The same question may be asked over and over and Lizzy will patiently go over the steps to help support success in training. I love her graphics and organizational skills that pull the lessons together without overwhelming students, like me. I feel assured that Lizzy will always be available for follow-up in the future and highly recommend her for your pup's training.
Lacy Young: Lizzy has been incredible to work with. She helped us learn a shared language with our pup. We went from frustrated at her bolting and barking to having a training plan that started working immediately. I highly recommend working with Lizzy for force free training and strengthening your relationship with your fur face.
Kirstie Dobbs: We hired Lizzy to help us find a second dog that would be a good match for our blind senior chihuahua and our senior cat. I HIGHLY recommend working with Lizzy to help navigate the process of choosing and transitioning a new dog into your home. She helped us figure out what type of dog, age, energy level, and past experience would be an appropriate match, which made the process less overwhelming! She also created a transition program tailored to our needs to help our family welcome home the new pup. We have continued with training, and all our pets just love her!
Sleepy BayArea: We had a wonderful experience training with Lizzy. She is very knowledgeable, patient, compassionate, and a great listener. Lizzy doesn't prescribe generic training exercises. She very carefully caters her recommendations to your specific needs and goals (and to your dog's quirks!). I am a huge fan of her non-aversive, rewards-based training philosophy. I have tremendous respect for the time and effort she pours into helping people understand why this is the most humane and effective way to make living with dogs better for everyone involved.
Julie Weisberg: That's my off leash Husky, Arrow. He has great recall. Huskies are known for running away. They are curious wanderers, have a high prey drive & WHOOSH they are gone! I apply the same techniques that Lizzy teaches her students in the, Recall For A Meatball course. Several of my Husky friends & cohorts have taken her class & have raved about it, exclaiming their dogs turned on a dime after learning recall from Lizzy. Once you learn the easy to understand method you will be amazed at how happily your dog comes back to you!
Jennifer Fantasia: Lizzy has opened my eyes to so many aspects of dogs and their training. She is extremely well educated and always learning and able to explain the science of the why behind behavior, but more importantly, dogs are her passion and it shows. She is creative in her approach to the individual dog as well as their humans and their overall goals. She never limits dogs to their breed stereotypes and in the course of our training sessions suggested Doug (my adult Treeing Walker Coonhound - who defines the stereotype of “nose on = ears off”) and I participated in her “Recall for a Meatball” course. As with all her training, it is broken down into manageable steps where progress through reinforcement is identifiable each week. AND IT WORKS! We are still building on it months after taking the course and both enjoying the freedom of appropriate off-leash time. Her advocacy for dogs and the information she provides to help humans advocate for their dogs in countless situations are immeasurable.
Amanda Factor: Positive:Professionalism,QualityThough Lizzy lives in a different country from me, I am so impressed by her professionalism and knowledge that I have been referring her virtual services to my dog walking clients whenever they need behaviour counselling. Lizzy is a top-shelf trainer, and happens to be a warm and friendly person as well. Highly recommended!
Colleen Manning: We work with Lizzy in individual virtual sessions and are currently taking her virtual Recall for a Meatball class. Lizzy has been the glue that has helped keep me, my husband, and our pup on the same page. She has helped us make sense of behaviors and situations that have been initially hard to understand, and she has translated the science behind dog (and parent!) behavior and training into goals and plans that we can grasp and implement. We come away from every session feeling better about ourselves and our pup. Lizzy also helped us navigate the sudden loss of our first pup with such deep compassion, and was instrumental in our readiness and ability to adopt again. Anyone who is fortunate enough to work with Lizzy will benefit from her expertise, experience, outstanding character, and boundless love of all things DOG!

Jezzie Paws Dog Training: what do users think?
Lisa Gatsogiannis: Bringing Maximus to Jess is the best decision I’ve made! As a first time dog owner, I find that I’m learning so much about my role and the importance of my body language and tone. Jess adapts each lesson to my needs, so that I can be the best version of myself for Maximus. Her flexibility and patience knows no bounds. I am so grateful for her!
Nick Metcalfe: Jessica has been wonderful in helping train our pup. She has been patient and discussed a step by step approach to help us reach our goals in his training. I would highly reccomment Jezzie Paws for anyone looking for an excellent trainer in the area!
Ashley Kate: Jess has been amazing in helping me to better understand how to train and manage my dog with her anxiety. I've had my dog for over 3 years now and she is my first pup ever so I had a lot to learn from her. I've learned so much from Jess and she is totally worth it! Super affordable too! Thank you Jess for all your help with Jodie!
Chris Holguin: Jezzie Paws has a great dog training program. Jess is a passionate, reliable, and trustworthy dog trainer. I brought my 3 year old Australian shepherd due to reactivity challenges we were having. Jess' experience is unmatched, and was shown through the advice & instructions she gave us. She is flexible, and will work with you on your specific needs. We started off with private lessons, and then went into group lessons. We've been going for a little over a year (on & off), as we believe reinforcement/practice is good. Patience is key. You'll have to invest time outside of class to practice what you were taught in order to really see the difference with your four legged friend. This was a lesson we had to learn, but am very happy Jess was there to support us through all of it. If you're looking for a dog trainer, I highly recommend Jezzie Paws.
Stephen Hearson: Jess is great!!
ann peterson: Everything about the place is great
Amie Allaire: Jess has been great to work with. Our puppy Nova made great progress and so have my husband and I. She helped us understand what we needed to do to train our puppy. She is friendly and very knowledgeable. We're glad we found her and learned so much in our classes.
Bridget Stafford: Jess is amazing! Since working with her, my dog has made such improvements and I feel more confident in controlling him. She is judgment free and so easy to talk to about all things training related! I’m thankful we found her!
Shana Poisson: Highly recommend this place! Jessica was awesome to work with! My family learned so much from the private training classes we took once a week. She knew exactly what our puppy needed to help calm his high anxiety which has helped us so much. I can't say anything but great things about this place!
Shannon Curboy: Jezzie Paws has been amazing. We are new dog owners and were unsure of where to start. On the website, they list the variety of services offered with a description of what each entails, making it easy for us to pick from (prices are competitive which is always a plus). We started off attending the group beginner class and have since moved onto private lessons for more individualized training. We have learned so much about our rescue’s actions under Jess’s guidance and he has already come a long way. I highly recommend Jezzie Paws and will continue to use their services as my dog progresses through his training.
Boom Stick: Great trainer. New pup was all over the place not listening or walking with us, until Jezzie paws help us learn what to do. Great place Great trainer very glad we all came here. 1on1 was extremely helpful for all of us.
gerstin papagni: Great trainer helpful. My pup is much better now
Adore Me If You Want: Doesn’t actually offer services listed but still helpful in helping find the information you need or a referral to a different place.
Isabella Kopka: I brought my now 10 month golden retriever, Ellie, to see Jess with a few specific problems that I wanted to work on. In just four classes Jess addressed each issue we had and then taught her a few extra’s we didn’t even think she needed.our biggest issue was walking on the leash- Ellie doesn’t pull on the leash anymore and has even gotten compliments from her grandpawrents and strangers at how well she listens - all thanks to Jess! She has been such a pleasure and Ellie is always so excited to see Jess for her training sessions.
Kristen Lucas: Jess is a miracle worker! My dogs are learning so much and we have a stronger relationship after just a few classes. Highly recommend!
sheri moniz: I did a 6 week training course for my chihuahua with Jess. The progress I could see my dog make with each lesson was impressive. Definitely recommend Jess for small (or any size) dog training!
Saved by His grace ΩMEGA: Omg! Jess was sent straight from heaven! I met Jess today for the first time and let me tell you… she IS AMAZING! Very knowledgeable, caring, patient, lovely, and THE BEST dog trainer Ive ever met!! Ill recommend Jess 150% as a matter of fact, are there more stars? Because she deserves at least 20 more. I’ll definitely stay with her for as long as I can. Oh did I said that she is THE BEST OF THE BEST?? Well she is..i love you Jess! Viv
Alexander Coldwell: Small 1-woman operated pet training place. Friendly and flexible in regards to make-up and missed classes. Offers multiple methods for training stubborn dogs.Update: still extremely flexible and friendly. Years later I needed additional training and she allowed me to join a large class and work on something different that my dog needed versus the other dogs there.
Dana Black: Great training. Good location. Good value. Nice people. Really worth it and glad we did it. Theodora enjoyed it and really benefited.
Diva Emery: I can’t even begin to describe how difficult my dog, Baby, was. He was having issues with obedience and impulse control. He constantly wanted to chew/destroy something, was playing too rough and would often experience triggers that resulted in aggressively lunging at me. Jess taught me how to effectively train and communicate with Baby, and address all of the issues we were struggling with. Baby is much calmer now, more obedient and very cuddly/lovable. Through this experience I have developed a stronger bond with my dog. He loved his training lessons. He squealed with delight when we arrived and was sad every time we left. Thank you, Jess! I have learned a lot from you, and your guidance has made my life much easier!
Ruth Aoki: Bitty was an 8 year old stray when I adopted her. Although she was sweet and completely house trained, she was excitable. She strained and pulled on the leash, darting out whenever another dog or person walked by. She needed training in "stay", "Come", "sit" and all the commands needed to include her in polite society.I was delighted when neighbors recommended Jess. She is patient with us, and week-by-week, Bitty is becoming easier to handle. She now has a growing vocabulary of commands.Jess does not use any adverse training methods or tools. Each week she assigns me a different task to complete. And we are making progress.Jess is also very observant. She spots behaviors and explains them to me so that I can anticipate potential problems and control the situation. For the present, we are continuing in private training because Bitty is so easily distracted, but her improved manners have my neighbors commenting on her improvement. All of our progress is because Jess is so committed to helping us. She clearly loves dogs and is very knowledgeable. She is understanding when I am discouraged and lifts me up.I highly recommend Jess and Jessie Paws Dog Training.

Howl Mountain Canine Services: what do users think?
Amy Currie: Stephanie of Howl Mountain is the MOST fabulous trainer that there is. I started with Stephanie when she walked dogs, now she is my trainer. My rescue, Sassy, is a timid, frightened little Chihuahua who came to us afraid of the world and Stephanie has her coming out of her shell. I cannot say enough good things about Stephanie. I would have her train every and any dog no matter what.
Molly Brown: Stephanie is absolutely wonderful! From our first conversation on the phone where she asked great questions about our needs and expectations, to the meet and greet with our pups we knew right away she was the right person. She is super educated on dog needs and we felt comfortable right away with her taking care of our German shepherd and mastiff mix. My mastiff can be VERY dog reactive and Stephanie took time to understand her triggers and is well equipped to handle her. Stephanie does almost daily visits for us now plus we’ve needed her a few short notice times. She always sends updates and communicates with us. She’s reliable, up front about her pricing, and runs a great business. Oh, and the dogs absolutely love her!!
Sheenagh Caridi: As the owner of a pet care company myself, I have to say that Steph is the best! Whenever we visit the Worcester area, she is our go to girl to take care of our pups! Her professionalism, energy and positive attitude, shines through. Steph makes sure to make us feel comfortable leaving our babies in her care. Her attention to detail is top notch. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough! 100 stars!!
Alex Gray: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueI have known the owner for many years, and she was born to be in this business. She’s a true lover of all animals, especially dogs, and they have always been her passion in life. She’s always professional and takes perfect care of any pet she comes across. You’re dog will be in the best hands with Howl Mountain Canine Services!
