UMass Memorial Medical Center Emergency Room: what do users think?
Shemeyk Irizarry: I do believe that the ER processes needs to be updated or restructure. It's my first time here and it's just awful. All I hear in the ER are patients complaining of how long they are waiting. I'm currently in a lot of pain and have severe high blood pressure and I'm sitting in the lobby waiting...
David Novack (misterbig97): If I'm on the sidewalk bleeding to death, and this is my only ER option, please leave me on the ground. I've got a better chance of a doctor stumbling across me there than I do of ever getting a room with a competent person in this dump. Also, be sure to bring earplugs with you, because they have incredibly loud psyche patients in the same waiting room as everyone else and the staff don't care at all how much they disturb the people around them.
Eileen D: The medical care is very good, but what's point when you can never get in to see them? It would be better if they turned people away at the door, then at least you could go to another hospital instead of being left in the waiting room to die slowly.
Arden B.: The EMTs in the ambulance were incredibly kind and helpful in dealing with the stress of the situation, and I was taken into a room very quickly. The care was excellent in spite of the number of patients there, and followup care was easy to schedule. Overall a very good experience, and the scans taken in the ER helped me get the issue fixed long term (hopefully permanently)!
darine benchemam: No stars, I don't recommend it. I stayed for 14 hours in waiting room without seeing a doctor. Every time we to ask the receptionist for my turn she told me 4 patients before you for four hours the same answer. When I told her you lod me the same answers for four hours she told me I don't know what happened there. I left at 11 pm. I was there at 9am.
Joel Bienvenu: If I could leave a ZERO I would. The absolute worst care! Indifferent, rude and less than helpful staff. We’ve been here 11 hours, this is bordering on insane! We’ve been here all day with the SAME people, the incompetence is astounding.
Brett Sobkowich: Both major hospital ERs in Worcester are deplorable. The UMass ER was pathetic and unsympathetic to my condition.
K. D.: Couldn't believe what I was seeing. They have cubicles set up in the corner of the waiting room where they stick mental health patients. They were already in bracelets and scrubs so they weren't new arrivals. Stuck them in these cubicles after making the patients walk across a busy waiting room. Just awful humiliation for these people seeking mental health care. I understand rooms gets overflow but there's got to be some other way. I waited in waiting room for 2+hours while listening to one of these patients screaming they wanted to die, please let them die, just awful things my daughter and I had to listen to while waiting to be seen. Just breaks your heart. As for my care, check in nurses were so nice and kind. But when I got taken back to a room they were awful. Despite having not been to an emergency room in 8+ years I was still treated as if I fabricated falling on ice and was just there seeking pain medicine. Brutal in the way I was talked to especially when I wasn't even asking for pain medicine. X-rays were fast when I did finally get to a room. I hope they can do better for these mental health patients, if I ever was having suicidal thoughts no way I'd want to be treated like that- they deserve PRIVACY and compassion. One patient is suicidal and he's roomed with another patient screaming they want to die- just awful.
Chris Hanson: UMASS Memorial Hospital Worcester is the worst Hospital I have ever dealt with. I would die before being sent to Umass.
Kerry Reitz: Worst ER ever. Still here after 11 hours with no answers to when I will be seen
Tim Tobin: Longest wait of my life. These guys are ridiculous….go somewhere else…
Collin Sweeney: They literally mocked me and told me I didn't belong there
bryan melanson: Give Jo-Ann a raise. This nurse here in the emergency room is very efficient, friendly and courteous. I don't know how any of them do it. This is a very busy place and you need to have patience but they're doing the best that they can.
mahal alvarez-backus: DO NOT GO HERE. I wish I could give a negative or zero star rating. They left my father on the LITERAL floor of the ED during a tripledemic. They didn't even put a blanket down. He was left to lay on the floor for 5 HOURS. Inhumane and disgusting. Did not listen to our concerns at all. EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF.
Kimberlee Comeau: If I could leave a 0 I would. My mother came in by ambulance, was told she was next in line also told not to bring her meds or insulin as she s get those here, I get here at 11 and she hasn’t been seen, hasn’t been given meds or insulin, hasn’t been fed, has a head injury and hasn’t been helped to the bathroom (thank goodness I brought a change of clothes). I ve called patient advocates, social work, my sister has called legal and a single person hasn’t returned our calls. I finally nagged enough to get blood sugar taken and fed. The only even remotely nice thing I can say is the person at the help desk in the pavilion. Still here waiting for now 16 hours, no meds no monitoring her head injury just her vitals. Still here 19 hours later, still not seen
Edualyn Lopez: I’ve been here for 9 hours still haven’t been seen this is ridiculous they need to do better this is totally insane
Azizkhon Dustmuradov: My wife and i came for emergency and my wife condition was critical she was literally coud not abe to breath her chest was on pain she was mot suffering from flue or and simple illness. Her condition was so critical serious.we have waited on waiting room more than 3 hours when i came started hey she is in bad conditions she is not feeling well . Their response was please wait until someone gets available when i said what if she is gonna die they said just waitAnd front desk was so rude . It was my such bad bad bad experience at this hospital they don't care about what is your condition. When i got pised off they sarted to we don't know just wait . If it was on my hand i would ask all medical academies to check thieir prosedurs amd see how they work woth patients .Once i get their names i will provide with name as well .The way how they talk it was so so so so so so so disrespectful.
Barbara Dennis: Went in on Friday morning. Not crowded. Shift change so we waited. I expected the wait but I did not expect to be brushed off. I went in with severe leg pain, unlike any I have experienced. Background I am an endurance athlete, I do long distance triathlon.I know what it feels like to be sore after a workout, I explained I had gone for a 5 mile training run the day before, and the next day I could hardly walk due to pain in my leg. One of the nurses in a very condescending voice says to me, “ oh you went for a 5k and are a little sore today” like I was a toddler, no dear that is not what happened. It was not a little 5k that’s a warm up run, Listen and I’ll tell you again, I may be 65 but I can out run, out swim, out bike you any day and I’m not a little sore I am in excruciating pain and if she couldn’t see that by my body language and facial expression then she is in the wrong business, When the Dr came in I felt the same way, he saw an older woman who went for a run and now her leg hurts. Brushed me off said I’d be ok and that’s it. Nothing for my pain, no follow up. Waste of time and money, went to my PT later that day, and got better care, a more sympathetic staff and went home with some exercise to do to ease the pain. Worst care I ever received was at this Emergency Room. Stay away.
Katy Grant: On a super busy night, I took my two-year-old nephew here. Everyone was professional, friendly and patient. We were in and out in 2.5 hours (which included an xray). There were several challenging situations going on and the staff handled them with grace and respect. For an emergency room experience, this was as good as it gets. Well done team - and thank you!
Keith Trudell: My father just transferred to a different hospital as I write this, he fell and broke his hip, he has been laying on a cot FOR 3 DAYS in the E.R in the hallway, not even in a room, once more FOR 3 DAYS!! absolutely ridicoulous, they dont even deserve 1 star and they expect him just to lay there for another day and when tomorrow comes they will most likely just tell him "oh it will be another day, your surgery has been postponed...AGAIN, hey why not? They already did it to him 3 times why stop now?
Tyler Sullivan: Incompetent. Can’t answer simple questions.

Saint Vincent Hospital Emergency Room: what do users think?
Kelli-alanna Ritchotte: Went to the hospital with an abscess that I believe was spreading in my face in excruciating pain. Told me they would fast track me because of it and never did. This hospital will let elderly and pregnant woman wait 5+ hours. They told the pregnant woman she was never registered even though she was. The middle age blond receptionist has a nasty attitude and shouldn’t be working with the public.
bill Jones: I've always had excellent care here.
Dawn Ryan: Went to the ER on Friday, 4.14.23. I waited for 5 hours and then left without being seen. While I was waiting, I watched a woman try to comfort her elderly, bent over mother that was complaining to be in pain and wanted to lie down. The woman asked if there was a place for her mother to lie down and was told no. I overheard her saying that they had been there for 7 hours. The elderly woman was asking her daughter if they could just go home. Not one person came out to try to find a way to make this poor woman comfortable. It is ridiculous that people are made to wait this long in the emergency room. After reading the reviews I can see that this is just business as usual as mostly everyone has the same complaint. Shame on this hospital for allowing this.
Leah M: I moved to Worcester a few years ago and have been to Saint Vincent twice now for myself.Well of course it wasn't a luxury experience it was however a sufficient trip to the ER.Both times there was a wait about 30-90 minutes. I wasn't there for life threatening issues so I understand needing to wait. Both times the rooms in the ER were taken and I ended up in a stretcher in the hall. I obviously didn't love this, but I was grateful to receive treatment I needed. The doctors and nurses were mindful when talking to me in the hall about personal issues. All my interactions with hospital staff was positive.I really wish they had enough space for all the patients in the ER but I think the staff do a great job in utilizing the space they do have and proving treatment in what is clearly a overfull and understaffed ER.
Joanne Raymond: No wait for husband with chest pains. IV and bloodwork done quickly. A very efficient and kind nurse assigned to him. I was pretty assertive while remaining polite. Checked his test results on MyChart and notified his cardiologist. Moved him to an inpatient room that evening.
Brett Sobkowich: Used the hospital that is recommended by my pcp, terrible and embarrassing experience. Having used narcotics in the past for pain management as a result of at least 9 orthopedic surgeries and no longer using narcotics pain control I was treated as if I was just a drug seeking individual while in seriously severe pain. Two examples, leaving the room for the single diagnostic tool used, suffering in pain, hyperventilating somewhat I asked for a drink of water. As the nurses aide Kelly was pushing my gurney I asked for a drink of water when she was at the door near the sink and she toldh me I don’t have any..!! Seconds ER in 2 days while suffering from severe pain was embarrassing and sad. After receiving the X-ray results, Nurses aide Kelly walked into my room while I was reclining on the gurney and she grabbed my clothes and tossed them in my lap, said get dressed and walked out. A PA came in and very quickly expected me to leave… St V’s ER is a disgrace to the medical industry.
Curtis Markley: Do not come here if you're having a cardiac event.I came in around 10:15 pm and uh, have been sitting in their lobby for a while. It is 3:15 am at the time of writing this.I'm a patient guy, I haven't gotten up and disturbed the team onsite right now but, 5 hours seems... Egregious.
Mary Acuña: Waited over 7 hours in a hallway with a my veteran husband in crisis. Then they told him he didn’t have to stay so despite the fact that he was sedated, they watched him walk out the door to wander the streets of Worcester. Absolutely unacceptable.Edit: I see below they would like me to send them my contact info so they can “look into it and follow up.” I will not be doing this because: 1. I’m sure the entire incident is all on record, they can look those records up. 2. I do not wish for anyone to follow back up with me and try to make excuses because there are none. Just do better. 3. They DEFINITELY don’t want to hear my unedited opinion of this hospital and its staff (this review is the G rated version, trust me) 4. I have since learned that mental health patients leave St. Vincent’s all the time due to waits of up to 8 hours. So, the moral of the story is if you have a loved one in a mental health crisis, going here will only make matters worse. Go ANYWHERE else.
Stephen “Zeystev Vladimirovich” Smola: This hospital has one of the best administrative services when admitted but if they could do anything better its take the wait time down. In the past 3 visits (2 by ambulance) I've waited in the ER waiting room 3+ hours. One visit was for suicidal idealized thoughts. I still waited in the waiting room. Does that make any sense? I do appreciate the fact when I get into the actual ER I am taken care of medically. The staff does however need to be more cautious about spreading germs. I have caught Covid-19 twice after returning back to my residence and tested positive. If there was a need for me to go to a hospital I would tell the driver of the ambulance not to bring me here.
Desiree Benedict: People please don’t come to this hospital. This is a grave yard. Nurses don’t care; don’t act like they work in emergency room. They are on their cell phones texting and moving like they are not in a working mood. People are suffering here at the waiting area. Something has to be done.
Ashok MS: Very worst experience. Have been waiting in chest pain in ER for more than 10+ hours.. No medication or instructions given.. along with me there were several people waiting for hours and hours. Some people who came after me with no serious condition were went in.. very worst staff behavior and cleanliness. There is no sign written for people with covid waiting room and we were sitting in that room without knowing it.
George Russell: 10pm. 9people in like 9hour wait. ridiculous having to wait for people to detox from overdosing or using drugs just so I can get some actual pain relief instead of being treated like a child by the nurses, because I could actually use the help.
chiqui Iron: Worse hospital I visit in my life. I went there with a blood pressure 225/115 an emergency high blood pressure, they didn’t do anything about it not even a medication to try to lower it. They told me that I need to see my primary doctor even I told them she was on vacation. I know they were supposed to do something about that but they didn’t. I left home with a strong headache and blood pressure worse. I finally when to MassGeneral Hospital in Boston, they admit me right away, put medication to lower it and I was in the hospital for a whole week in intense care , I almost lose my life and that hospital San Vicent do nothing about,I should Sue them for that and false results. They put on my papers that issue was solve and blood pressure was under control. Do yourself and favor don’t get near that hospital .
Auston Mitchell: I did not get the help I needed still in 10/10 pain never gave me anything for the pain
Melanny Dominguez-Salomon: The worst ER experience. A person could literally die in the waiting room before they have the urgency to treat people. We came here per doctor’s request for a abdominal scan, after symptoms were alarming. My mother has been sitting in excruciating pain, and they can’t be bothered. What’s worst is that numerous people have come in after her, and have been treated almost immediately. This is the WORST EMERGENCY service I have ever experienced. Please avoid this place if you have a REAL PAINFUL emergency.
Luis Vigi: miles y pilas de gracias por sus grandes éxitos.....
Bop it tastic. The pro who play bop it's: One of the worst emergency room ever, My grandma had to sleep in the emergency room For tonight, And in the morning she was in severe Back pain and they didn't help her.
Mikhail Zagalskiy: No one care about patients.
Mike Powers: I came in with a knee injury today. The staff took care of me pretty quickly. I did go to memorial hospital at 10 am and spent 7 hours waiting in the waiting room. I ended up coming here so I could get seen and go on with my day. I had a great visit
Star Williams: From my experience, they treat you like a criminal when you’re in debilitating pain. Please make sure to advocate for your care here because they will ignore and belittle your concerns!
Sheena Cossette: So sad this place used to be my number one go to went yesterday waited five hours only to be consulted for five minutes to be sent home and woke up with the same exact symptoms ..so sad how our medical is over worked n under paid and clearly it’s showing whether or not this is an ongoing issue it’s showing period

Julia Blair: I never leave reviews but just had to say the staff here were absolutely amazing, super kind and fast. I came in expecting the typical 5 hour er visit and it was just so quick and pleasant. Thank you!
George Mishchenko: It is everything but emergency. 10 hours in a room to find out that my daughter had tonsillitis.

Duddie Massad Emergency And Trauma Center: what do users think?
Nelson Penney: This ER is the worst. Definitely go to St V's if you can. Their ER is far better than this one.
Jesse Sheridan: The hospital in general is great. Some of the individual doctors are truly outstanding. However the ER is such a complete and utter failure that brings it all the way down due to its importance. The nurses, technicians, etc working there are wonderful. The facility is good. The organization and capacity planning is horrendous. I went in with chest pains and they did an immediate triage (good!) then follow up tests (also good!) then told me to wait for a doctor. I waited 28 (TWENTY EIGHT!) hours in the waiting room, repeatedly being told I was next up. Most of that time I was in pain and unable to stand (wheelchair from the minute we entered), and breathing was painful. We slept there, as much as shallow pained breathing allows sleep. Finally the pain subsided and there was no end in sight so we walked out, never to return.
RAFAEL MURTA: I'm with my 1 year old daughter in the emergency hospital waiting for care. We've been waiting for service for 7 hours and we still haven't been answered. That's when I have to change my daughter's diaper in the disgusting and dirty men's bathroom. that's why we are using the pediatrics bathroom. An absurdity!!!
Ramond Mines yours: Worst place be prepared to wait all day to be seen
J K: Best place ever!

CareWell Urgent Care Worcester Lincoln St: what do users think?
Vanilla Valentin (Sweetie Valentine): Tried to go here in the past and the woman was very rude and unprofessional ended up leaving and going to readymed they took me right away
Louie Marquez: Im only giving it 1 star cause I can't leave it empty, if you have kid's don't take them here my son has a problem sleeping, and these trash people if u can even call them that, didn't even bother to check him saying if he don't have fever is probably tantrum to take him to another doctor, super unprofessional didn't even bother to do a basic check up or advise if she wasn't trained or whatever the reason of why they couldn't just nasty attitude from the start from nurse and counter secretary 0 rating for this place that should fire inconsiderate people like that
ALBERTO RABASCO: International insurance that works everywhere in the world here doesn't. Really bas attitude of the front attendance, it was a kid emergency. At least the could explain with some humanity. 15:06 Sunday, april 16.
Cousin illy: This place is terrible. Front desk associate Ginger B has the most disgusting customer service skills ever. I simply came in for a drug test with all the information need instead of helping and doing her job she proceeds to become a dunce and acts like she doesn’t know anything and push me out the door. If you don’t want to work go home if you don’t know what you’re doing get another job. There’s a sign in the front of the establishment that clearly says no rude patients so I guess that means the people that work there can be rude to the patients. It’s always the ones who look like crypt keeper who have the most attitude. Get it together goofy and do what you were paid to do.
edna rivera: Went for a pre employment physical, felt like I was in jail! Front desk person was very nice. The woman who administered my drug test basically kicked me out the facility because she was frustrated I couldn’t pee even though she said I had 3 hours. I’ve worked in healthcare for a while now and this woman was one of the rudest I’ve ever came across. Teach this women some decency or how to be polite, she clearly had a bad day but that isn’t okay at all her attitude and tone of voice is all not okay. I went back a few days later for another test and I seen her interact with another patient in the same way. People are sickly looking to be treated, and they should be treated with kindness period.
Basliel Demessie: I am deeply disappointed and saddened by my recent experience this branch, which I feel compelled to share with others. I had high expectations for the care and support I would receive, but unfortunately, my experience was far from it. I am giving this urgent care only 1 star out of 5 due to the lack of empathy and professional courtesy exhibited by one of the nurses on staff. From the moment I was admitted, I noticed that the Nurse was dismissive and seemed disinterested in my wellbeing. Rather than being attentive and compassionate, she appeared to be annoyed by my presence and treated me like an inconvenience. Her body language and tone of voice were both cold and unwelcoming, making me feel like a burden instead of a patient in need of care. When I expressed my concerns about my symptoms and pain level, Nurse Anglea Farmer would either brush them off or provide curt, unhelpful responses. The lack of urgency and empathy was alarming and distressing.Furthermore, she seemed to make me feel guilty for requiring her help. Rather than providing support with a gentle demeanor, she would often roll her eyes or sigh loudly, making it clear that my needs were an annoyance to her. This behavior was very unprofessional. My experience here was marred by the utter lack of empathy and professional courtesy displayed. It is my hope that the urgent care administration addresses these issues and provides additional training for their staff to ensure that all patients are treated with the dignity, respect, and care they deserve.
Will Cook: Waste of time and money, go to a REAL doctor.
juliet ndiwabene: I never have a smooth visit every time I come to this location. Something has to always be an issue. I don’t even have the energy to go in detail.
Ezra Stanley: They had me in and out surprisingly quickly! I also felt respected as a trans person. :)
Gloria Martinez: very sad I went twice for medical attention and there was no one to attend to the patients just the receptionist was there 🙄
Saade Saade: I was there at 7:15 for severe cough and blocked ears, I was told no one will see you all are busy and all rooms are busy , mind you the parking lot had 2 cars , 3 employees behind the counter too busy with their smartphones , and not interested in helping , was told to come back the next day , I find it horrible, I went to Shrewsbury street l9cation it took 10 min waiting and was taking to check up room, took my vitals , did a flu and covid test all came out negative, gave me 5 descriptions to pick up from my pharmacy and off to my house , if you open until 8pm you don't take any more patients, but 7:15 , come on do your duties........
Heather S: Seems dangerous to even come here. Employees are angry and rude. Just waiting for a work required drug test and employees get in a screaming match with and angry patient 😬. Would NEVER come here if I had other options.
Cindy h: Says its part of UMass Memorial, but even if your insurance covers a regular UMass Dr, they won't take you.So tired of the broken insurance system.
srkgoswami: Improvement required from the front desk staff/system:I walked in and got help in filling the paperwork online by a nice front desk staff (3:50 pm). Then entered another staff who got my payment card information whom I asked how much time I have to wait to see a physician. The 2nd staff told me I will be told when it is the time and asked me to wait in the car. I was wondering why I had to wait in my car in a cold afternoon, probably using a heater, when there are 10 chairs vacant in the lounge / reception area. I then started to talk with my insurance company and did not realize I got call from the Urgent care facility. I got 3 calls within 5 min between 4:01-4:06 pm. Why to call someone so frequently if the person is not able to pick call? Then I received a message within 5 min that they cancelled my appointment. When I called them back after my call to insurance company at around 4:15 pm, I was told to re-register again. So, they deleted my information within 15 min of their first call when the facility was open until 8 pm? I was not sure what kind of treatment I would get, so I went out looking for other urgent care.Additional note: Also, they would not send you a bill and give you time to pay back unlike other organizations, but will deduct money form your debit or credit card on file. I guess if you do not have credit or debit card, you may not see a physician.
Ashley Scruton: Almost 4 hour wait first thing in the morning Sunday. Have a massive infection cyst on my face. They told me they think it's a MRSA staff infection and gave me antibiotics. Didn't test for MRSA or even look at my face. How can you diagnose something like that?Tried this place again for my son who needed to be seen. His doctor told us to go and we even called their help center as well as their website saying they offer pediatrics. We’re turned away because my son is only 3 months old. They only treat 8 months and up.. it should be specified before people waste their time bringing their sick child out in the cold.
Canvastm S: “I think” and “I don’t know” answers to easy COVID test questions that either they actually didn’t know or didn’t want to bother with me. I’ll just walk in another Carewell and will actually get seen.
Andrew Pan: Wait for 1.5h in the car after they was call me and was told we are ready for you after you need wait another 30 min in lobby when they will get you to the room after that when you will get to the room they have only one provider and they have 4 more patients before me so it will take you more than 1h waiting just see the provider this is a joke!!!
Marjorie Schmidt: For a facility that allows walk-ins...they don't accept it!! Or seems very soecific who they accept. I've been to a different urgent care prior to this one and they were able to see me on the spot granted they didn't give the right inhaler. But this urgent care on Lincoln St. didn't bother to take any consideration of my urgency and just said to make an appointment!!
Gustavo Moreira: This place is a joke, they might as well shut down. Scheduled 3 appointments for a pee test but had to cancel all of them because after waiting for over 45 minutes they had no staff to take me in. And this place is called urgent care?
Ash Jiraiya: Sent prescription to wrong pharmacy. when called the location lady was rude and no apology for messing up my daughter prescription. Take responsibility and learn to APOLOGIZE for your mistakes.
GERMAN ANDRES TRUJILLO CARDONA: Mal Servicio fui el día de hoy a las 10: 30 am y no me atendieron por qué no hablan Español.

Will definitely go back if I ever need medical attention again.

Laura Lenahan: I couldn’t believe how quickly we were seen on a Saturday. Everyone wax nice and showed they cared .
BeantownLegend69: Very helpful, honest doctor. I almost left 4 stars due to the long wait but had a change of heart , a 5 star review is worthy cause they were very apologetic about the long wait. That was very good character the docs and nurses said that 3 times when I walked out , most urgent care places just don’t care.
Bob Gazard: I made an appt for 2:30, no one in wait room, was put right into a room and told the Dr would be right in. Waited 50 minutes in exam room, had a 5 min visit, practitioner was very nice and gave me prescription.
Maggie Davis: INCREDIBLY kind and caring nurses and front desk staff. My doctor, however, listened to me describe a list of mono symptoms such as severe fatigue and hives, and she proceeded to say "it's probably allergies, get over the counter Flonase and Zyrtec." I wasn't congested and didn't have a sore throat. It was like she didn't listen to a single word I said. I had to argue with her that I needed a mono test, and the very sweet nurse came to administer it ("Oh, you're in college? Say no more, you need a mono test.") , and wouldn't you know, I was positive for mono! The doctor wasn't even apologetic when she told me it came back positive, after she tried to tell me to go get FLONASE for hives and fatigue. Infuriating.
Susan Dube: Staff were very professional. Was able to get an appointment on the day I called. Was in and out within 30 minutes. Highly recommend
Mark Francolini: Totally incompetent!!!
Stewart Lanier: Easy signing in, little wait, very friendly and professional staff. Got the help I needed. I'd definitely go back
Efrain Mercado: My visit was excellent the people in the office for courteous and I was in and out in very happy
Brenda Mandella: Quick and friendly.
Cheryl Hudson: I got the help I needed.
Margo Murphy: Friendly support, efficiency knowledgeable NP James💜🙏👍❤️‍ 💐
Olivia b: Great staff, doesn't do IV fluid or lab work

CareWell Urgent Care Worcester Greenwood St: what do users think?
Amanda Bellino: I walked in extremely sick and the doors were still unlocked at a half hour to 8. When I walked in and stated I’m pregnant and I just need a strep test or something they said you can come back in the morning and I asked but you don’t close till 8 and you won’t see me now? And they said and I quote “absolutely not” I do not recommend going here unless you wanna leave in tears
Ace Rothstein: Don’t waste time here go to ER have to wait hours with appointment so unprofessional
amrutha p: It is never an urgent care! Had to wait for hours to get to the doctor!
Big Duke Six: Doesn’t matter if you have an appointment or not, 1.5 -2 hours on avg. until you’re seen and gone… ridiculous. Nothing urgent here except the name.
Tenshinome: What a terrible place if I could give it a zero I would I made an appointment cause I’m so sick and couldn’t sit and wait and I got there and the lady tells me it’s a 2 hours wait why make appointments if I have to wait hours place is a complete dump and there’s only one doctor working maybe get some better staff and don’t make appointments when there’s going to be a 2 plus hour wait so ridiculous
layla samia: one of the worst urgent cares i’ve ever been to every time you come here the wait is atleast an hour even if there isn’t anybody waiting and they disregard their appointments
carolyn G.L.: Nope!! Go elsewhere!!! Over the 7 days, I have felt increasingly ill by the day, and now feel the sickest I can remember!! I am normally a very healthy person. Major chest congestion and I can not breathe without a body shaking wet hacking cough. I cough so much, my head constantly feels like it is exploding with pressure inside. I have body aches, my eyes ache, no appetite, taste and very low energy. I work in the medical profession. I take patient histories. When I finally got to an examine room (I only waited 1 1/2 hrs, pretty good compared to some reviews), I was horrified that I was barely asked any questions about my symptoms. My BP came out extremely high (174/97) which was never mentioned again the whole visit. (I told the nurse I normally have very good BP). The nurse did what I believe was an inadequate covid/flu swab which she conducted briefly because I couldn't help coughing when she stuck it in my throat and nose. So she just gave up, and of course, that came back negative, surprise! Then the doctor cruises in, listens briefly to my chest, no other examination, no other questions. No mention of my BP. She says my chest is clear, I am not infectious, and that she was going to give me a Rx for cough medicine. I asked what was in the medicine and SHE COULDN'T TELL ME!!!!!!!!!! The DR!! did not know the active drug in the cough medicine she was prescribing. The Dr just kept telling me it was prescription cough medicine!! (BTW - the nurse didn't know what an expectorant was!!)Ahhh, no. Don't go here. Shame on you UMass Memorial! This is a perfect example of the dire drop in quality of health care available now! I have moved away from UMass recently because I have noticed a big drop in their quality of care.Companies are so desperate to hire SOMEONE that they hire ANYONE, who a few years ago, may have had difficulty getting a good job, because of their lack of training or test scores. Just my opinion.I had to literally insist on having an x-ray, which she then said was clear - surprise surprise (But I can't breathe there is sooo much congestion!!!!).Sitting for my 1 1/2 hrs in reception I listened to the lady with glasses call people with x-ray results, and 99.9% were 'clear, no issue'. I thought that highly suspicious, especially as at another Urgent care a few yrs ago I had a completely broken wrist diagnosed as a 'sprain'. I mention this because Urgent Cares seem to suck universally.Don't go to this place.Young lady at the front was really nice and helpful, the older woman with glasses was Ms Grump.I heard them complain about the efficiency of their call center, when they turned a car accident victim away (understandably they can't see car accident victims) who was in extreme discomfort, on crutches, and had obviously made great effort to get there. This poor lady said she had made an appt with the call center, and told them she had been in a car accident, and they made the appt for her. Nope! Turned away. Painfully, she left, looking lost.I can see that the front desk are over-worked.Not a good start if you need a sick visit, and don't expect to get the help you need.Feeling worse today, going to ER, as my new Primary can't see me until August!!!
That Person: Came here once and my sick child received stellar treatment within a reasonable time, even though they were busy. The nurse was so compassionate, I’ve never seen someone be so patient with a kid who hates nasal swabs, she did it so gently and didn’t force anything. Amazing. You could tell she really felt for the kid. The Dr was good too. Knowledgeable and a sense of humor. This place really helped us out in a pinch. Plus they had a bunch of drug tests to do and even with a couple hours to close the receptionist was able to get all patients seen or scheduled for the AM. And yes we had to wait, that’s normal these days not just to here.
Chulis Lo: This place is terrible the front desk is sleeping and she hangs up the phone on every call very unprofessional she should be fired this place should be shut down
Robin Jewell: I always have a great experience when I go here!
Liz Whittle: Love making an appointment to just wait almost 3 hours to be seen, while listen to the staff complain about how they just want to go home and are annoyed there are still people waiting to be seen (whom all have been waiting for hours also). Have a full blown eye infection and the PA wasn't going to give me antibiotics until I absolutely insisted. And don't forget the medical assistant who wrote my medication allergies on a post it note... really encouraging that is going to be noted somewhere properly. This place is a joke. Never going to this urgent care again.
Ibrahim Jameel: The girl with the glasses in the front desk really needs to work on her attitude. I called to get my labs results and because she’s lazy and doesn’t want to do her job she left me on hold for 25 minutes hoping that I hang up. So I decided to go in, when I walked in I see her doing nothing and on top of leaving me on hold and wasting my time she wouldn’t stop running her mouth with me If you don’t like people, or if you don’t like customer service that’s fine. Find you a job that doesn’t require you to interact with people. Thank you
Just Wonderingcrafts: Horrible service, low to non staffed, wait times are impossible
Steph Bestever: Need new front desk staff.. asap
Tim Murray: I used them once in the middle of 2021 and they were attentive and quick. Fast forward to December 2022 and they’ve been closed twice when I tried to go in person and don’t answer the phone frequently (does that mean they’re closed). The latest annoyance was showing up and I was being checked in someone walked from the back office and told the receptionist they couldn’t take any more patients. Like… what the heck… how does the second largest city in New England have so few walk in sites available and how is the service this spotty?
BZ: Nothing urgent about this place. I Have been here 3 times now. There is always an extremely long wait (3-5hrs on average) regardless if you schedule a time or walk in. This last time I walked in right when the place opened figuring it would be faster and I still had to wait for 5 hours. When they finally get you into a room it then takes another 1-2 hrs of waiting.I do not recommend going here because of it's extremely long wait times.
Madilyn Fleisch: Walked in and was told it would be a 2-2.5h wait and that I could make an appointment online. I left and made and appointment for 2h later. 20 minutes after my initial walk in I get a call from the clinic letting me know they are closing for the day. 5h earlier than their posted working hours. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
Allie “Darling Allie” Cruz: The absolute rudest, most unprofessional urgent care I've ever been to!! I wouldn't take a rodent there. Please do not go to this location, especially if you have a sick child! No wonder this place is under staffed. I hope it ends up closing. Nobody deserves to be treated so poorly !!
Tammy Blinn: The most unorganized system of urgent cares. Must scan a QR code. Then complete information already available to them. I came in only needing a possible cracked knee Xray. The script was completed by my PCP. That information could have been extrapolated from the printed script from my Provider. You can't compete the form without supplying a credit card number for payment. Even if you have insurance to cover everything, Including co-pays !
Wynn Plantier: 2 hours and counting to pee in a cup and leave, kinda really impressive 👏
Mariah Mo: The people are the front desk are so rude. No idea how they even are still employed. They talk to people horribly brought my 3 year old in twice at different times. Whether 3pm or 6pm they always have an excuse why they can’t see people. Ready med on Shrewsbury st is the best in the city unfortunately they don’t accept people whose primary care is UMASS and has masshealth. Never dealt with such unprofessional people as with this urgent care.
