Angela Sierra: Even after finding out Asha no longer works here, I decided to give one of the girls a try, this place will not be the same without Asha, and it will probably close down. The girl that did my eyebrows, Tara I believe her name is, messed up my eyebrows bad, I had so many bald spots, and one of eyebrow was super thin, the other thick, I noticed her pushing my hairs down to try and cover it up. Please stay from this place until Asha comes back. The other girl was super sweet n tried to fix me up, but couldn't cus I literally had no eyebrow left on one side.

I was informed you are not doing any more services but the place really needs you. I do not want to come back if you are not there and I go every 2-3 weeks. Asia Lavarn: I feel bad posting this review but I think new customers should be warned. if you have a decent shape for your brows, don’t go here. If you don’t have a decent shape for your brows, don’t go here either. They will find a way to mess up your brows whether your eyebrows are thin or thick, sparse or bushy. According to other reviews only go to Asha and not the girl I went to (good luck because she has back-to-back appointments and everyone asks for her). Sadly this was my 3rd time going here and leaving very upset and dissatisfied. I didn’t want to go to the same lady but there was no one else available and there was about 5 girls waiting for asha already. I wanted to support a local business rather than going to my usual place in Boston but the woman who does my brows every time i’m at this salon, repeatedly messes up my brows and refuses to take any accountability. Last two times she started off very upset that my eyebrows had no shape but she was the last person who touched them and keeps telling me to come in next month to fix them. Somehow she forgets every time. I’ve never had anyone struggle with my brows or mess them up like she has. I tell every eyebrow threader the same thing but for some reason she cannot do it and acts confused when you point out that your eyebrows are literally two different shapes. To mess up one or two times is ok but THREE times?? Please just get a new hobby… Asha “tried” to fix them but they are already so thin there wasn’t much she could do (although she claimed she fixed them, she did not). I will never come back to this salon and I seriously warn you all to go somewhere else. Cant even post pictures for proof on this review bc im so embarrassed lolService:Eyebrow threading

Diana Arredondo: I saw two women have their eyebrows threaded and facial hair waxed before me and the woman working refused to change her gloves and clean her scissors and use the same eyebrow brush on the same people. They also don’t wipe down chairs in between clients. I asked her if she can change her glove and she said “no why we use the same thing on everyone” this is alarming given we’re in the middle of a pandemic. Unsanitary business.

Binnie Nguyen (Binnie): From the moment I walked in, I was blown away. It is absolutely beautiful inside. I came here for a microwaving consult with Amanda. She was so friendly and kind. She educated me about the procedure, the materials used and how her technique is much different from other microblading businesses. Her wealth of knowledge made me feel comfortable with my "semi-permanant" procedure. I am looking forward to see how the eyebrows turn out. Amanda is booked a couple of months out!
Eileen Kelly: I just had the most incredible experience with a Signature Facial at Nkd with Crystal. Thank you! It was so relaxing. I carry so much tension in my jaw and neck and it dissolved away. My skin also loved the experience. In fact, my 6 year old son (lacking vocabulary such as 'dewy' and 'youthful') told me that I looked "shiny and beautiful" without any prompting upon seeing me hours after the treatment. It's been 24 hours and my skin is so supple and happy. I already booked another one next month. Don't hesitate to do the same - it is worth it.

Amanda Martin: Ok, I review a lot of restaurants and stores, but this review has been a long time coming. I’ve been getting waxed for about 10 years; at a few different establishments and with many many different estheticians. In my past, I may have found someone acceptable enough to continue to go to for recurring appointments, but never 100% satisfied with the service. At NKD, I have finally found the perfect esthetician, Vanessa! She’s so amazing at her skill, and I have never had more consistently thorough waxes. My skin is always so smooth after the service with almost zero irritation immediately after and until my next wax. I used to have a problem with ingrown hairs after waxes, but that hasn’t been the case with Vanessa, from a combination of her expertise and products she recommends. Vanessa is incredibly efficient and a pleasure to chat with during the service. I think it’s important to feel comfortable during your wax, and leave knowing you just had a positive experience. Kelly Dickerson: I started out wanting to get acrylics while I still could due to osteoarthritis starting to rear its ugly head, but I ended up absolutely loving the people at this salon and wanting to come back basically until the end of time. Everyone at Kathy’s is so friendly and down to earth. Every time I go there, I consider it more like I’m going to see old friends, and it’s actually something that really improves my mood long term between that and the fact that my nails always look incredible! They have a huge variety of colors, top coats, ways to do different types of nail art, etc. I usually see Anna, and she always does such a great job, and I really enjoy visiting with her. I will continue to recommend this place to anyone and everyone who will listen!

Priscila Veledroza: Kathy does eye brows Beautifully but the time she takes to chit chat instead of getting people in and out is ridiculous! I went to her shop 3 times this week on my lunch break and each time, my time was blatantly disregarded! My lunch hour is the ONLY time I have to get them done since she doesn't permit kids in her salon (which is a crime cause most of us dont have sitters) .... Another issue is that she has full blown conversations about her customers in front of her other customers ! Completely unacceptable! She has so many young women going to her salon that she probably doesn't care but she lost a customer for life !

She is so professional, comforting and has the skill set to give you exactly what you ask for. I wanted a bold lip color, and she was exact in the way she mixed the lip color to match my favorite lip stick. She paused often to make sure that I was numb enough before she proceeded. She covered me with a blanket when I was cold. She also ensured that I saw her use brand new tattoo needles just for me. If you have wanted lip blushing in the past and want the best most high quality results, then you want to book with Ale. It is done in two sessions, and even after the first, my results were overwhelmingly beautiful and now I’m beyond thrilled with how my touch up came out. My lips are a beautiful vibrant deep red, and enhanced in all the right places. I will definitely go back to beauty avenue for lashes or any other service they have because I’ve consistently left feeling luxurious.

The owner Ale was present in the lobby and she was extremely kind and welcoming, you can tell how passionate she is about her business by the energy she gives off. My lash artist, Kirsten whom I highly recommend was able to create my perfect lash (I am picky) over laughter and heartfelt conversations. I’m a mother and rarely get out but I felt so relaxed and comfortable in her chair and it was a real treat. The atmosphere was very professional and clean and super cute!
