Jason Harnois: The bank is literally the slowest and worst bank ever. Every Friday I spend at least 45 minutes waiting in line behind 3 or 4 people. The employees are rude and not professional.

Jeremy Theerman: I like this local bank. The staff are very friendly, and remember you by name, for the most part. The products are good, like no-fee checking and savings. I have all my personal and business accounts here. Only downside is that if you are outside Worcester county there are no branches, but they are on the SUM ATM network so you can use those ATMs without a fee.As an update, December 2017, I still like this bank for personal banking. But, I would not recommend them for business banking or lending. My experience has been that loyalty and referrals are not reciprocated. The lending folks I have dealt with did not seem to take the time to really understand my business and financial needs, and thus made ill informed decisions. Finally, they have some really silly policies. For instance, if you want to cash a check that's made out to a corporation, they won't let you. You have two choices, 1. you can ask the manager to override that policy, or 2. you can deposit the check and then withdraw the money. It seems to me that if you can deposit the money and then immediately withdraw it, that the policy is non-sensical. It's policies like that, that had driven me away from the larger banks, and now this bank is doing the same silly things.As a note, I've had accounts at this bank for over 20 years, so my thoughts reflect that whole experience.

Beth Solomon: Best bank I've ever had. The tellers are friendly, the fees are almost nonexistent, and you can trust they will be around for years because they've been around for over hundred years.
Jeremy Theerman: So, generally I like this bank. I've had accounts there for years. But, two issues. 1, this branch closes at 4, what's up with that? It's right downtown, I just think they need to get more flexible. 2, I referred over $1 million in business to this bank. Since that time have they done anything to help me? Nope, they declined a loan application and gave me essentially no good reason for the decision. In fact it seemed like the person I was dealing with didn't understand how corporate revenue differed from personal income, it was like I was talking to a complete novice. I asked a branch manager to look into it for me and I got no response. Finally, I overdrew an account a few hundred bucks and they got me with all kinds of fees, despite the fact that I otherwise had tens of thousands of dollars on deposit in other accounts, why not look at a combined balance? So, overall a good bank, but it seems that the relationship is a one way street when it comes to reciprocating good will.

Mark Reyna: This bank is so antiquated. Cannot do anything online including ACH's even changing your address. They make you go to the branch for everything. Telephone support closes at 5 PM. Bank is from the ice ages. If you want modern day conveniences RUN don't walk from here!

Tim Carty: Consistently one of the worst banks on the planet. Understaffed always no matter what branch. Bad hours. I have to go for a business my company makes deposits for. Unless you might need international banking there is no way you should use this bank.
Douglas Quattrochi: I have a small business that was badly impacted by the pandemic. When I ran out of money, Bank of America started charging me "low balance" fees. Other local or online banks don't do that, so I opened a new account elsewhere (Capital One, Cornerstone, lots of options). But to complete my move, I have to close my Bank of America account. I went into their branch today. They wouldn't let me close out. I learned they don't allow small businesses to close their account at the teller, over the phone, or online. You must close by appointment. And the next available appointment is 12 days away. If the delay crossed a statement balance (which thankfully it doesn't) I could easily be charged another fee. To try to discourage me from going through with the closure, they said once I close my account, if anyone tries to debit or credit it, they will reopen the account and I will be charged more fees. Also, I will have to schedule _another_ appointment to close it a second time. They're wielding inefficiency as a weapon to keep me hostage. My advice is not to start. Open your accounts at a local bank or online. For instance, I can open and close business escrow accounts at Cornerstone across the street in three minutes. I am giving Bank of America "two stars" instead of "one" because, in light of recent events at Bank of America, I'm just glad this branch didn't try to have me arrested.

Hilary Doyle: There must have been a big change here since these other reviews. This was the best bank experience I have ever had. Someone very kind named Stephanie helped me immediately despite a long teller line. She got me all set for the meeting and new card I needed. She even took the extra time to teach me how to use a digital card at the atm. I was in and out in 10 minutes!

Forced to use location for business banking but at this point really considering driving an extra 15 minutes to avoid the rude Managers and staff.1.. ATM is never working, hardly ever more then one teller at a time and the Managers would just stare at you without offering to assist you or helping out the tellers to expedite the line. For such a centralized location it operates as if there are under staffed and without any management experience.
