Steve Boliver: The customer service level at Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Leominster was off the charts. They were very professional from start to finish. Lori came to our home multiple times to assist us in the placements of the lights using temp lights. Chris did a fantastic job of installing the lights and offered plenty of advice as to possible bulb upgrades (at no charge!). When we decided to add on another couple of lights they made sure we didn't have to wait even though they were very busy with other clients. L M: One of the employees who drives the large beat up Ram ran me off the road this morning while he was texting and driving coming into my lane. Now that my car is near totaled I already filed a police report. When calling the office to report I got a very nasty attitude from the person who answered the phone so I decided to not fill them in and let the police take care of it. Have the dash cam footage to prove it. I would go elsewhere if this how they are with driving. Can’t imagine what their work looks like.

Plants supplied in poor shape - over charged for tree that is not what we wanted at all. No fresh loom put down to fill in holes in garden. Left roots from previous shrubs sticking out of mulch. Did not edge one bed they were suppose to edge. Install of drainage system not at all what we wanted. We could have done a better job ourselves. Reason we hired landscaper was to have a professional look to our front of house and it looks nothing like we expected. Totally disappointed in quality of work. Still waiting to have issues resolves

The front desk lady was able to get a date in the same week despite their busy schedule. I was ok with an appointment at any time since I work from home. On the day of the appointment I received a reminder text with the appointment time. The guy tried to call me from an unknown number 45 minutes before the appointment and left no voicemail. Then never showed up. The office front desk argued that since I had said I am ok with an appointment at any time during the day, he must have showed up earlier. Nobody was at my doorstep or rang the doorbell.

John Holmes: This review is for tree removal not pruning. William came out and gave me a free estimate on two trees on 2 properties. He was very professional and his prices were very reasonable. His workers were diligent, on time, careful and cleaned up nicely. Note: as with any tree removal turf damage is unavoidable. Our tree was 3.5 feet in diameter and 150 feet tall. They felled it in a perfect area and removed everything. The turf damage was exactly as he described and minimal as could be done. At the other property the tree was hanging over the house and they used a cherry picker and surgically remover the limbs before felling the trunk. Very little turf damage there, it was not nearly as big a tree. I highly recommend them for tree removal. My neighbor was so impressed he asked for a quote for his property.Service:Tree trimming pruning

Paul C: Took the day off to monitor work performed. Rain was in the forecast for days in advance (I know because it also affects my work). I received no call until the morning they were set to be on-site, that they would have to reschedule because of the "unexpected rain". After they told me that I was wrong about the weather forecast, (like its my first day on earth) they rescheduled a for a week later. Then pushed it out one more day when they no-show, no-called. We had to call them to find out that they wouldn't be coming that day. The workers they sent spent A LOT of time standing/sitting around. Pushed a giant boulder randomly onto my neighbor's property after being instructed to put the stones with the rest of the stone wall. They were supposed to do leaf cleanup (it was in the quote) and almost none of it was done; only what they were incidentally able to scrape and bury with the skid-steer. A large pile of brush that was specifically pointed out was left untouched. To say that I'm disappointed would be an understatement. If I'm being generous, I'd say I got about 30% of what I paid for. I'll update this review in the unlikely event that they make good on the inadequate "work" that was performed.

Jeffery Monti: Required landscaping architect expertise to assist in developing a plan to update our front and rear yards where we moved into a new development and our lot was a bare postage stamp. Interacted with and interviewed three or four landscaping companies and decided to contract with C.M.L. The project included different phases and are included/discussed for reference. The rear yard was sloped and required a curved 100-foot concrete block retaining wall to provide a leveled area. C.M.L. provided the most technical approach on the wall design, installation specifics and final outcome goal above and beyond the other companies. In addition, we required new trees, plants and associated beds in both the front and back yards. We worked with C.M.L. and discussed numerous well thought out designs pertaining to the landscape intended goals and solutions to provide a well-developed outcome. As a byproduct of this large landscaping project the existing lawn would be a casualty however it was explained up front prior to the project start. We added in the required remediation effort (new soil/hydroseed) at the end of the project where our soil was substandard from the builder anyway. The landscaping included new soil, numerous Abortive Thuja family trees, Hinoki Cypress trees, Blue Spruce trees, Rhododendrons, a double-border paver walkway, a granite lamp post and a granite step. Needless to say, this level of effort spanned a few months however the final outcome was just what we envisioned. The project execution was steady without interruption. I’ve dealt with a few contract companies over time and I was most impressed with the professionalism and courteous nature of the C.M.L. team. If you are considering having work performed I would include C.M.L. within your candidate choices. In fact we do have a few more projects to complete and will contract with C.M.L. without hesitation. Lynn Fiandaca: Central Mass Landscapes created a beautiful patio for us, with a fireplace included. We love our new outdoor space, thanks to Andrew and his staff! From the beginning Andrew offered excellent suggestions and listened patiently to us as we tried to explain our vision to him. And as the project moved along and we modified our ‘vision’ :), Andrew continued to offer ideas and patience to help us execute the changes. Andrew checked in with my husband consistently throughout the project, and Mike, the team leader of the work crew, also filled us in with the status of the project each time he was at our house. Ara Francis: FAILED REPAIR. We hired Chris Duncan, the owner of Central Mass Landscapes, to repair a segment of our retaining wall last summer. The wall was bulging, and after identifying what he thought was the problem, Chris and his team dismantled and rebuilt the problematic segment. It was an expensive job – we paid Central Mass Landscapes $3,624 for their work – and less than a year later, after the season’s first thaw, the segment gave way. It has been difficult to get to the bottom of what happened, but it appears that Chris misdiagnosed the problem and unintentionally rendered the wall LESS stable with his repair. We tried to work with Chris – and he tried to work with us – but in the course of trying to repair the wall a second time, we learned that Chris was never licensed to repair the wall, and he had not pulled the appropriate permit to do so. He gave us a partial refund, less than a third of the job’s cost, and basically left us in the lurch. I hate to leave a negative review, but it’s our only recourse. My sense is that Central Mass Landscaping might be reliable for small jobs, but if you’re looking for someone who really knows their stuff when it comes to hardscaping or masonry, look elsewhere. If you do go with Central Mass Landscaping, make sure Chris pulls any necessary permits and is willing to guarantee his work for a full calendar year (I’ve learned that some contractors consider this standard practice, and I'm still so surprised he was unwilling to refund us for a repair that failed so completely).

James Bostock: Worst electricians ever. Little knowledge and all they wanted to do is take advantage of a senior. Wanted $850 to install a ceiling fan. Would never call them again.

Adrian Mejia: Did a decent job fixing what I called them to fix. Following that I asked for an estimate on how much it would cost to rewire the house to get rid of knob and tube. They pressured me into agreeing to do it through them and insisted I give them a check for half of the cost (a sizable amount) right there and then. I was hesitant, so they told me I could give them the deposit check but they wouldn't cash it in for a couple of days, in case I wanted to call them and back out. This seemed reasonable to me, though in retrospect i really shouldn't have gone along with it.I decided it wasn't the right time to do it almost as soon as they left. I called them later that day to tell them to destroy the check, but the secretary informed me they had already cashed it, contrary to what they had told me they would do. They told me they would send me a check back for the same amount. The check came back promptly, but it bounced when I tried to cash it. I called them about this and told me they must have made a mistake and would send me a check back. A month passes by. I call them. They tell me they sent the check this week, it should arrive in a few days. Another month passes by. I contact them again. They ask me if they can send me the payment back in two pieces, half this month and half next month, as treasurer's checks to ensure they don't bounce. You've guessed it, another month passes by and again, nothing. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE. They will con you and lie to you. They've been telling me since November they'd get me my money back, and it is now March.
