Trixie Tang: I used these movers last year and was quoted $300 they did a quick efficient job. I am now moving again the same distance with the same amount of stuff so I called for a quote and they are quoting me $850 for the same exact move they did for $300 last year, I asked the reason and was told it’s “becuase they were running promotions last year”. This is disappointing because I would have used them multiple more times but this price change with no reasoning is a little ubsurd. Found another place in Worcester to do the move for $330 so will not be needing them any longer.

Chantal Patrick: These men were awesome! I called last minute and they came within an hour. They asked where I wanted my items and offered helpful tips to avoid damage to my rental. They offered to pick up food for me to keep me from having to drive my vehicle and trailer after an 18 hour drive! Even made sure my vehicle and trailer were parked perfectly! onellie valentin: Challenge was 400 lb marble Kelly Wearstler side table 18”Hx 16”W needed to be lifted and moved from outside -inside which included several stairs and construction going on outside dealing with unpaved dirt path and a steep hill. Response time was white glove etiquette from phone call to arrival less than 10 minutes. Found him online Aug 2 2022 and same day came over. Excellent professional mover combination of physical strength, stamina and attention to detail. Very polite , friendly and responsive. The best.

Jason Passell: We have hired Fresh Start twice. Both moves went off as well as I could ever expect. On our most recent move, this May 2, Fresh Start performed brilliantly. The crew of Jose, John, and Jack (the J team) worked, hard, worked smart, and actually beat the original estimate. I was equally impressed by the care the crew took with all our belongings, carefully wrapping each item in furniture pads and covering every inch with plastic cling film. The crew handled our heaviest furniture carefully and delivered every single item in perfect condition. This was our second move with Fresh Start and both moves went off without a single hitch. The office staff was, both times, friendly, professional, and accomodating. In addition The Fresh Start MOVING CREW is a company that maintains high standards of integrity throughout their organization, from top to bottom. Dave Evans: I guess 2.5 stars. My move went 2 hours longer than booked, even though i've done it myself with a friend in about 2.5 hours, which was an extra 300 buckos, but after forking over my complete debit card information i got hit with a nondescript charge of 180 dollars which turned off my card. i'm not saying the movers stole my information, but the timing was very suspicious.

Stefanie Koelewyn: Had an amazing experience with Fresh Start from beginning to end! Zoe was great about scheduling our move despite having to reschedule last minute due to our closing being postponed. We originally hired 4 people to do our move. Two of them were held back on another job so only Marcus and Wayne were able to show. They knocked it out of the park! Who knew we didn't even need two more people with those rock stars! They moved everything in within about 2 and a half hours and were unbelievably nice and respectful during the entire job. Final time price were at the low end of the estimates which was great and even though we had two pick ups there was no issues with coordination. Xavier, Bryan, and Omar did an excellent job and I was a bit surprised by how quickly they were moving. These young men were wasting no time, but still properly wrapped all of our furniture in blankets and/or plastic wrap. Excellent experience and would certainly recommend.

Rob Stowe: Fresh Start moved us from the Boston area to Iowa in late August and early September 2022. Short story: We had an *excellent* experience with Fresh Start. The entire team was professional, highly experienced, and well organized -- from the estimating process to unloading.We want to give a specific shout-out to Yancy and Mark, who drove to Iowa and unloaded for us. They are two dedicated, professional movers.We chose Fresh Start, in part, because they themselves handle every step of the move. They do *not* contract out any part of the move. As mentioned, Yancy and Mark drove our belongings to Iowa in the same truck that they (and others) loaded in the Boston area. We had their cells, and they gave us periodic updates on the way out.Fresh Start took great care with all of our belongings, some of which were old and fragile. We packed most of our belongings ourselves, but they packed some -- and did a very good job. There was one issue with a framed picture -- no one is perfect, and this was a small matter, given how much stuff we had -- and Fresh Start took care of it fairly and promptly.We would recommend Fresh Start to anyone -- whether moving locally in Massachusetts or long distance. These folks know what they're doing, they never delegate responsibility to other companies, and they execute as planned.

She took all of the stress out of setting up the move by making everything simple and easy to understand and by patiently answering all of my questions. Patrick Beron: We used Massad Movers recently to move from Westborough, MA to Newport, RI and we couldn't be happier with the crews that packed and moved us within 48 hours. Kris, Russell, Sean, Eric and Joe were incredible to work with! On move day, conditions were not ideal as it rained hard the entire day, both moving out and then moving in. The Crew parked the trucks close to both houses to minimize the rain would have on our belongings. These guys were as cohesive a Team as any I've seen in my Life. The were so professional, courteous, humorous and HARD WORKING!! They were in constant motion the entire day and finished up at 7:30pm. Since we are renting through June of next year, we plan on using them again when we move into our new home in Newport. You can't go wrong with Massad Movers!

We were packed and on the road to Hyannis by 11:30 AM. The men started unloading the truck and they were still smiling and still polite. If they were unsure of something they would ask questions. There pace never slowed down even though it was a hot day. These three men worked as a team all day. They left us at 5:30 and all three were still smiling. Great job guys, you truly made our moving day a pleasure.

Personal: Called for a move. Said they would need to have people come out to photograph my stuff. Super not comfortable with that. Anyway, made the appt, not only did they have an address listed not even close to mine, but were over an hour late. Are you folks going to compensate me for my time? Over a week later and still no quote. I’d advise to move on to a more professional group.Follow up to owner’s reply: Your response is exactly what was expected. Deny, Deny, Deny. My review is spot on. Your truck says Vermont, you send 3 reminder emails to make sure I’m on time, but you’re not. I’m not asking for a remedy, just admit the communication breakdown, apologize, and use it as a tool to improve your business. We learn from our mistakes.
Steven Rivers: *CT customerThe movers were great, They informed me the office has been quoting a little higher than normal because some people dont realize how much stuff they have which I get. They also came all the way from NH because the Worcester chapter has been bought out, I guess it all goes out of bow NH. The movers had a few accidents like breaking our vacuum and knocking over our Samsung smart TV that appeared fine at the time and now it wont turn on at all. they showed up with a huge truck and my stuff only filled 25% of it and still got billed full price of 2K. Plus I get to buy a new smart TV and mini vacuum out of my pocket.

19 79: I had one main area I wanted cleared out with 3 additional small piles of junk which did not even come close to the amount of junk for the main job tripled the price. Called to inquire as to why it would be so expensive and was given a list of reasons. I said I would wait for the email confirmation with the exact estimate and never received the email. As a former grunt myself I found this experience to be disappointing.

Having hired movers many times never have I encountered a company to cancel with such short notice. Apparently this location is under new ownership. We booked more than a month out and had someone call and text to confirm 2 or 3 times only to have them cancel the day before our move. We ended up having a very challenging move as a result and had to scramble for movers and pay double. If you want to have a reliable moving company I would look elsewhere.As an update new owner was going to give $200 as a consolation for not having movers which does not even come close to the more than $1500 additional and as a result of this review canceled the payment.Service:Local moving
Nicole McKown: Unreliable and Unprofessional. We booked Grunts Move Junk and Moving for our move over a month in advance on a referral from a friend. We confirmed via phone both two weeks and one week out and then also received a confirmation text 48 hours before our scheduled move. On Friday afternoon, less than 24 hours before movers were scheduled to arrive , we received a call from the office manager informing us that they could not staff our move. We were left scrambling to find movers to come the next day! We struggled to find movers and ended up having to pay DOUBLE just to have someone show up. Grunts Move Junk made the already awful process of moving even worse. Don't book them if you want someone to actually show up. I shudder to think what would have happened if we booked them for a Sept 1 move.Service:Local moving

GMJ were significantly more reasonable in price, and didn’t pile on questionable surcharges. Did the lower price equate to lower-quality service? Not at all. From first inquiry to job completion, the communication was excellent, and on the day of the job, they were on-time and efficient. Make sure you inquire with GMJ before hiring another service - you’ll likely be glad you did!

The three movers did a wonderful job! They were professional, careful and efficient. They were also quite pleasant. The woman in the office was the same. Mandi L: I booked Waddell through U-haul about 4-6 weeks before my move date into a Revere apartment in early June. They were quick to respond and sort out the details of my move. I booked two movers for two hours to help unload my 15” U-Haul at my new apartment after a move from out-of-state—a lot of little boxes and some big bedroom furniture. They arrived a little early (no complaints) and were ready and eager. I was running behind due to issues with my building, but the guys were super understanding. They were quick to identify a good moving strategy and they were deft and flexible to working around the cleaners. I went a little over on time, but they graciously extended my appointment time and saw the job through. Overall, these guys were great—very professional, hard working, no complaints, very affable and friendly. I should note that they were working on the hottest day of the year (100F) and they did so without complaint or delay. I am extremely happy with my decision to book with Waddell and will book them again without hesitation in the future in case I have any moves around the city. Rick Woods: I needed a mover on short notice and Red Eagle was the only company that was able to accommodate my request. I called them on a Friday afternoon and within 15 minutes they were able to confirm my move for Saturday, less than 24 hours notice! They arrived on time and we’re extremely accommodating as they agreed to finish the move on Sunday morning, which is normally their day off. They took great care of all my belongings, were very pleasant and finished the job with zero issues! If you need a mover, even on short notice, i highly recommend Red Eagle!

Kelly Green: Hire them. They are Very honest and reliable. I had another company pull a no call no show leaving my family in a horrid position. Started calling movers and every company said "sorry can't help you" or tried to price gouge us. I called strong movers, they had two movers at my house iin 2 hours. Their price was less than half what two other companies attempted to quote me. I'm not exaggerating when i say they saved us!
Rachel Lukas: We did not have the best experience with Strong Movers. Although the movers themselves were very hard working, respectful, and efficient, there were several things that went wrong with our move: 1. We called two weeks ahead to confirm that shrink-wrap would be brought to package our delicate items (including a white couch), and nothing was brought to wrap things like we requested (resulting in some staining/damage that was preventable). 2. They were three hours late. 3. They did not bring a big enough truck, and when they attempted to offload some of our things in storage to make space, they did not offload enough and we were forced to rely on two pickup trucks from family members to get everything out of the house before closing at 10:00 pm at night. 4. I called to speak with management the following week, and was told that I would receive a phone call back to resolve the issues and nothing was ever resolved. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Strong Movers Worcester.

My situation was a dire emergency because I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to move then later that morning I was given the ok. Nia promised me the day before that if I was given the ok she wasn’t going to give my afternoon movers to someone else. She made me feel like I mattered to her and understood what I was going through. She was my first miracle and angel. The movers were literally given my move appointment the morning of November 1st. These poor men had been working all day and then came with smiles, laughter, and muscles. I had a 2 bedroom apartment and boy was there a lot to move. They were literally incredible. They didn’t complain once. These movers are amazing and I want to thank them all for doing such an amazing job. I have never had movers before and I was thrilled that they set up mine and my sons beds. It might not seem like a big thing for some but to know that I wasn’t going to stress over putting the beds together just made my night. They deserve more than 5 Stars. They deserve a Million plus Stars!!

The old landlord was providing us financial incentive to leave which we desperately needed to fund her new place. At 7:30 that morning, our movers that we had contracted with several weeks prior, called to cancel stating that the crew had called out and that it wasn't their fault. I started calling every moving company I could find. Most were rude or laughed at me for my last minute call. Not moving my daughter that day was going to cost me almost $5k. I called Incredible Movers and spoke to Nia. She calmed me down and told me, "I've got you. We can do this for you." Three of her workers came in on their day off, one after working the night shift, and moved my daughter from a 3rd floor apartment in 90 degree heat. They were kind, funny and helpful. They were also $300 cheaper than the company that canceled on me. They treated me and my family like valuable people and I could not be more impressed with how happy I was with the service. They were also extremely personable - they talked with me, spoke through their plan for loading and unloading since I had multiple stops, and were very polite.
