Peter Bergstrom: When I called to ask about service the sales man was rude, basically telling me I didn't know what I was talking about. After getting past that part of the experience, I set up an appointment. After confirming the appointment with the sales man, I had to make sure someone was at the house. They waited around for over an hour after they were supposed to be there. I called and asked where they were and they said they could no longer make it. Never let me know. Will not be using this company.

Boris Svirchuk: I had a very negative experience with this pest control company. About a year ago I needed my rental unit to be treated for Bed Bugs and Roaches. All initial conversations were done by the phone, during which I was told that treatment for bedbugs consisted of two treatments and was given a quote. I was also given a gurantee wording on roaches that they would keep coming back until issue is fixed. Both statements were misleading which they later denied making making over email.All retreatments were additional charge which were never ever mentioned beforehand. The retreatment charge amounts was never mentioned or discussed and originally were represented as 'covered' under initial payment.I ended up doing a complete teardown of the unit, which fixed the problem. The only reason I did retreatments after teardown was because I thought it was already paid for and 'couldn't hurt'. I cannot definitively say whether their treatments would have eventually been successful or not. But after first treatment I did not see any improvement over a couple of months.Personally, I would avoid this company due to dishonest practices, but if you do business with them, make sure to get quotes in advance and IN WRITING.UPDATE/REPLY TO OWNER:As i wrote in my review, this was not what was said over the phone. Payment was another issue. First invoice went directly to me, which I paid immediately. When I disputed second invoice, John decided to invoice management company directly, which then invoiced me. The day I poured them out in my son’s cereal I was done. That was 22 years ago! The folks that come out always let us know the day before they come so we know to keep our dogs in just during the treatment. Occasionally I’ve called them out for sweet ants. J B: I like Ransford, they are friendly and responsive. The only issue I have with the pest control methods that they, and others use, is the outside bait boxes that are set up. We had them install them outside the foundation and were assured by the tech that other outside critters (other than the mice that we don’t want inside) would not access the boxes. We have several dead chipmunks and a baby squirrel in the yard since starting the service. I wish there was a different way to handle the inside pests without poisoning the exterior.Service:Rodent extermination

It was just done yesterday and the technician was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions.Edit: we added their pesticide-free service for wasps/etc (silver plan or something, I think) because we have serious issues with hornets around the house and I am very allergic. The treatments worked so well! For the first time since we bought this house I was able to sit on my deck and enjoy the nice weather without the hornets chasing me inside! I love their technicians!
