Worcester MMA: what do users think?
Marco Yaylaian: Amazing gym - amazing coaches - amazing teammates and a very welcoming Environment. If you are thinking about getting into BJJ I highly recommend coming in to try it out - you will not regret it.
Andrew Joyce: I started training at Worcester MMA just over 2 years ago now. The coaching staff is wise, engaged and committed. The fundamentals program is an excellent way to get started. Their kids program looks awesome as well, my little ones will be enrolled once they are old enough for sure! BJJ has the potential to have some unbelievable positive effects on your life, and the academy you align with will have a lot to do with that. I am very lucky to be teamed up with Worcester MMA.... You should join too!
Iris Wang: Great coaches, great training partners, great facility, I only have good things to say about WMMA. By far one of the best gyms I've ever trained at!
Brendan Melican: Been training here going on five years now. Best crew of people you never knew you were looking for in Worcester. Like a second family to me, but with less arguing at Thanksgiving.
Yosemit Marrero: Best BJJ in Central Mass, possibly the whole state!
Sean Murtha: Amazing coaches, inspiring teammates. Come train here and you won’t regret it.
J Spen: My son absolutely loves this place. The coaches and staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. Dan and Max have been so good to my son. My son respects them so much and I would recommend this place to kids or adults.
Cripple Chronicles: The most welcoming gym from the coaches to the members in it. Best room in the state to get quality knowledge and experience
Justin Amevor: Great facilities, coaches, curriculum. I have been training here for 2 years and it has been an amazing experience!
Patrick Gallery: Great environment all around. Coaches are awesome, teammates are super helpful with training tips, and both morning and evening classes are great for almost anyone's schedule. Would highly recommend!
Yuri Sarkisian: Excellent facilities with an even better coaching staff- love this place! OSS
Julie M: Signing up is the hardest step of your Jiu-jitsu career. As a 50 year old woman it was very intimidating. I've had days of both difficult and exciting moments. Everyone at the academy says, "Keep showing up", so I do. "Your body will start to remember the technique ", and it does! The coaches LOVE to teach. They want you to succeed. They are approachable, knowledgeable are always available for questions (and dont mind repeating the same technique a million times during class 😄) I have met and trained with the most extraordinary men and women. Abusado Team has changed my life. These people are not only teammates but FAMILY. Forever Grateful. OSS
Dale Kline: Love Worcester MMA! The training, the high-level and detailed coaching, and teammates make this place incredible! The pedigree and lineage (Renzo Gracie/ Matt Serra) under Dan Simmler, and now team of coaches make this place second to none here in New England. I've been training here since 2008 and now my kids also are training here with the kids team and love it! Highly recommend WMMA!!
Michael Fournier: I have trained at WMMA / Abusado Team for two years. I left left a disaster of a BJJ gym in Central Mass in order to join WMMA / Abusado Team. WMMA / Abusado Team is hands down the best place to train, with the most knowledgeable coaches, great students and fantastic camaraderie.
mathew maruca: Great place for all ages.
David Apotheker: Really well structured intro to BJJ system and great coaches. Everyone who goes here is also really sensible and respectful.
Dan D'Errico: Like others who have posted reviews here, I was in Worcester visiting family for the weekend and hoping to find a bjj gym to train at. I also have an 8yr old daughter who trains and a young nephew who is interested in checking it out. I came in for an adult class on a Saturday morning and brought the kids along. The instructors are legit, very thorough and clear in breaking down techniques, and everyone seemed humble and welcoming. Overall there’s a great team atmosphere and classes seem well structured. Class size was large with a variety of experience levels and body types to roll with but also plenty of space to move around since the gym itself is sizable. It’s also worth noting how clean and airy the gym is.On top of all this, Dan came out and personally instructed the kids even though there were no kids classes scheduled! Needless to say this was much appreciated.I’d highly recommend this school and will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area!
Captain Merc: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueBest in New England
George Fourlas: WMMA/Team Abusado is hands down the best place to train and has everything you will need to thrive as a martial artist and as a person. The coaches are friendly, skilled teachers, and amazingly talented Jiu Jitsukas. The head-coach/master-sensei, Dan Simmler, is always available, supportive, a seemingly endless source of knowledge, and works hard to create an empowering environment for all of his students. Beyond an amazing crew of coaches, the WMMA community is equally outstanding. People from all walks of life can be found flourishing, together, in this Dojo. Put whatever preconceptions or worries you might have about martial arts and MMA dojos aside, and visit WMMA/Team Abusado. You will see that it is a friendly, welcoming environment, and you will transform with this community if you put in the time. From the children’s classes that typically have between 8-15 students and multiple coaches to keep the kids moving/growing, to women only seminars, to private lessons to help get you over that stubborn plateau, I cannot overemphasize how great this community is. Whether you are looking for competition, self-defense, mental-physical self-cultivation, a place where your kid can learn discipline and burn off that extra energy, Worcester MMA/Team Abusado is what you are looking for.
Candy Lam: Love this place! The coaches and teammates make you feel like family! Everyone is very humble and always willing to teach you anything you ask!
Rafael Torres: Positive:ProfessionalismGreat coaches and teammates!

Combate Real School of Jiu Jitsu: what do users think?
jucileila fraga: Alan is an Amazing professor. My son has been training w/ him for 4 months and I 100% recommend Combate real School of Jiu Jitsu.
Erik Anderson: To start, this is only my second experience that has warranted a public review. I was hesitant and selective when choosing a jujitsu school for my family and myself. I was looking for a professor that had the patience to teach my 6 yr old daughter and (4 yr old son to follow), provide an environment where I could be pushed without compromising my ability to work as I am in a physical job, and just having the right vibe of a place that makes you want to be there. Professor Lima has checked all these boxes and more. It only took 2 weeks of going myself to know that this would be an outstanding school for my kids to practice jujitsu and I was NOT disappointed. My daughter loves getting to go and I continue to see her grow emotionally and physically thanks to Professor Lima. For those of you searching for a school I hope my review has given you some guidance. —“Best time to start training was 10 years ago, next best time is today.”
Aramis Perez: For so long I’ve wanted to learn jiujitsu but for me it’s hard to just hand anyone my money and trust that I’m learning the sport correctly; I met Allan Lima 2021, like a month in at his new location: all I can say is that he’s the real deal and the vibes are great/great people who all in all make it very easy to learn; I would recommend anyone who is interested in combat sports to go see my man Allan Lima
Cynthia Geskes: My review is for the UNatural method classes I have been doing with Coach Allan Lima via Zoom. I live in Southern CA. I have been doing BJJ for about 6 years. I would like to continue for as long as I am able (started around early 50ˋs –currently Purple Belt). A friend told me about the UNatural method and gave me Coach Lima’s contact info. Doing the Zoom classes has improved my breathing and flexibility when I roll in BJJ classes. The movements done in an UNatural method class relate to movements done in BJJ. I am able to keep up with the younger males (98% of my rolling partners). Along with my great Coach here in CA and the UNatural method I hope to be on the mats for many more years.
Kelly Kerr: Welcoming, supportive atmosphere and amazing work out!
Ahmadee Witherspoon: Great school overall. The instructor is clear and patient with the material. The classmates are respectful and considerate of your progress. Classes are engaging and rewarding.
luis chamorro: Great Jiujitsu experience and training. Learning new skills and sharpening the ones learned from a previous school. I'm so glad I train here now.
Mike Ashley: Excellent Sensi, excellent school. Allan is Definitely the real deal! If you have been in the BJJ world you learn who is legit and who is not. Allan is top notch and is gifted as a teacher, leader etc. After just coming in from a referral I signed up right away and signed my son up as well. I am excited to continue my BJJ journey with Sensi Allan!
Laura Gilbert: 🔥I Love this program! And more importantly, my teen son, does too!! The vibe is the best and I would describe it as positive, calm assertiveness. Allan has created an inclusive and supportive training environment for everyone no matter what level one is at in their training. He is a natural teacher and my son has made quick progress developing skills both on the mat and mentally. So grateful to have Combate Real School in the area. 🔥
Teresa Yank: My son recently started classes and is very motivated and inspired. I've seen growth in him already regarding confidence and motivation. He loved his introduction to jiu-jitsu with Coach Allan and is excited to learn as much as he can over the next 2 months.
ramon pelaez: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI have been training in marshal arts at different locations the passed couple of years due to work travel. I can say that this place great with instruction and direction on how to progress at any level. Very enjoyable atmosphere and great fellow practitioners in the art of jujitsu.
Troy Nicolas: Great place to train! Great instructor come on in and train! You won't regret it!
David Marshall: Professor Lima is a very passionate and detail-oriented instructor. It is clear that he loves teaching jiu jitsu and cares about his students. I am new to jiu jitsu, and he is constantly encouraging me, while also making sure that I am building off of strong fundamentals. The class is a tremendous workout and a lot of fun. I would recommend it to everyone, and especially to people who are hesitant to try jiu jitsu for the first time.
jwitherspoon89: Positive:Quality,ValueProfessor Lima is an excellent teacher. He is very knowledgeable detail oriented in the way that he explains techniques. Training with him has been an excellent experience. Very excited for more opportunities to learn from him and the experienced crew at the gym.
Alexandra Rodriguez: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueAllan Lima is very professional, I’ve taken self-defense classes and they’re very informative, valuable and great workout. Im very glad I gave myself the chance to try Jiu Jitsu and I’m grateful for Limas opportunity.
Liz Kaneunyenye: Positive:QualityMy friends and I take the self defense with Allan and I’ve really enjoyed it! So glad we signed up. It’s a great workout and I’m learning a lot! I would def recommend taking a class.
samantha Kane: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI've been wanting to try jiujitsu for a while and am very glad i did! Its one of the best workouts ive ever gotten and extremely fun.
luis torres: Professor Lima has 30 years on the mats. He has a deep knowledge of Jiujitsu based on first principles and concepts. A strong emphasis on self defense . His Jiujitsu has helped me on and off the mats. Priceless knowledge learned.
Sherryla Diola: If you want to get good and precise in your jiujitsu technique this school will do that for you. UNatural method is a great building block to strengthen your foundation in your practice in jiujitsu and they offer it here. Allan Lima is a great athlete, teacher that works with his students not only on the outside strength but also inside, which makes your journey in your practice more meaningful and profound.
