Academy of Realist Art Boston: what do users think?
Eric Johnson: The BEST art experience you can find in Boston if you're looking to improve your skills as a naturalistic/ realist artist. Friendly and intellectual atmosphere that welcomes all skill levels, ages and backgrounds.
Julie Beck: I would recommend this school to any person who wants to dramatically improve their drawing and painting skills. They work with students from beginner levels to professional artists. I also love that that you work at your own pace.

Art School 99: what do users think?
Jessica Sample: Great experience, really attentive teacher with a wealth of knowledge to share! She gives individualized attention and helps you explore your own natural artistic instincts. Really recommend you take a class if you get the chance!
Lisa Morris: Alexandra is a wonderful and talented teacher. She has been so encouraging, helping me rediscover my love for art, after being away from it for years. Alexandra’s studio is welcoming and inviting, and I enjoy the diversity of the other students. My weekly class at Art School 99 is my favorite hour of the week.
Brittany Reynard: The atmosphere is non-judgmental and fun. Alexandra is a great teacher who brings out the best in her students.
Joanne Weil: I have been working with Alexandra for over 10 years. I had never drawn or painted when I found Art School 99. She works with me at my pace and always has great recommendations when I get stuck. She will help as much or as little as you like. She is a great teacher. Her knowledge of art history and art can’t be beat. She is able to work with anyone, in any medium and any style.I feel very fortunate to have found her and highly recommend her.
Marina Salganik: II started Alexandra's weekly classes 2 month ago. Alexandra is a very inspiring, knowledgeable and non-judgmental teacher and her studio space is a great place. I enjoy every minute of her class. People in her studio are friendly and fun. I think her classes are suitable for experienced painters as well as for beginners like me. Classes are small (never more than 5 students). You are getting a semi-private lessons. She is great at giving everyone individualized attention, working with you at your skill level.I highly recommend Art School 99 if you're serious about improving your skills as a painter or just to try drawing or painting.
Elizabeth Frazier: I have been going here for awhile now. I am much more confident in painting and look forward to my classes with Alexandra. The atmosphere is relaxed, really helpful and non-judgmental. I would recommend this for anyone beginner or otherwise.
Ashleyandbabies: My husband and I went on a couples day hoping this would be similar to a wine and sip paint night and it was NOT even close. She only let us do one canvas, we had to share even though we paid for two! The orginal painting we were supposed to copy was awful. When we did our painting she gave us no directions at all! The place was dirty and very small. SAVE your money go somewhere else! She also rushed us it was supposed to be a two hour event and she had us in and out in 30 mins. I would give zero stars if possible!
Sarah Berry: I have been going pretty much weekly for 7 months and I have seen improvement in my work. Alexandra is a great teacher and her studio/school space is a great place to spend time. I like her workshops, which are suitable for committed painters and for people who are just having fun. She's great at giving everyone individualized attention and working with you where you are, whatever your skill level. I highly recommend Art School 99 for a fun evening out or if you're serious about improving your skills as a painter.

Stonybrook Fine Arts: what do users think?
Mike Vasily-Cioffi: I did the 8 hour welding intensive this past Sunday. Great for someone who wants to start learning welding. Welding is a type of skill I feel you need an expert to show you the basics and teach you how to be safe when starting out. The class was pretty thorough introduction and I'm pretty confident I can get started on some small projects in my home shop.
Linda M. Clark: Great experience making a silver soldered necklace. Can’t wait to take more classes.
Charles Bosse: Awesome teachers and a nice space with lots of artists.
Dan Twomey: I'm not an artist, but know when creation is superb. Don't even know the folks that run this studio but there is serious talent in there. I'm a cabbie in town and drop in whenever I'm in JP. Bravo to whomever. Please don't call the police if you see a cab in the parking lot taking pictures..

Brookline Arts Center: what do users think?
Lisbeth Sanchez: Absolutely wonderful place
C. Gomes: Working here has been a dream, it is the perfect arts job straight out of college as it gives you a little slice of everything that comes within working for a nonprofit. Seeing the happy students is the icing on top ✨
Aeran Song: Our two kids attended art class for the first time today. They love art and thier teachers. Thank you.
Arrecis: My daughter just took an art class here. She was always excited to see her teacher and friends. It's a small art school but staff is very friendly and kind. Will be back in the fall for another great art adventure. My only observation is the check in and check out takes to long. Parents are not allowed in the building for obvious reasons to COVID. So we have to wait in line outside.
W O: What a cool place! I love the history of the building and the lovely couple who founded the center. A nice community park is located right outside the door. Art programs and classes are offered to all. Visiting artists teach different artistic disciplines...okay, no more big words...just visit it, you'll love it! By the way...open house tomorrow!!
Tara Monuteaux: They offer great summer programs and classes for all ages. This is my daughter's 4th year attending the summer Artventures program and she loves it. The teachers are great, the class sizes reasonable, and location is convenient, close to the T! The building is adorable. It used to be an old firehouse and the playground outside is firehouse themed. I highly recommend the BAC!

Minni: what do users think?
Sean McGrail: Our 4.5 year old loves Minni.so many activities packed into a 3 hour class!
Amelia Eichholz: Minni is a special place—a hidden garden-level gem in SOWA. Our family (children ages 2 & 4.5) has enjoyed scheduled in person and online classes and (pre-Covid) drop-in Sundays for the past three years. We strongly recommend this lovely art studio for the little artists in your family! The teachers are warm, welcoming, and particularly good with young children. They are loaded with creative and engaging craft ideas to that help the kids connect with nature, seasons, shapes, colors and textures. The staff are skilled and accommodating for private group classes and the space is the perfect size for intimate gatherings like birthday parties. We celebrated our son’s first birthday there and it was a huge hit! Minni has played host to many fun memories for us and we encourage families to drop in and see for themselves.
Lisa Taffe: My kids LOVED the drawing class they are taking with Maria. They are very excited for next class.
meghan dichiara: My daughter loves Minni! The instructors are great and the space is beautiful. Camp, group classes, workshops and private classes have all been really fun. If it was up to my daughter, she would spend all of her non-school time at Minni.
Marlena Love: Bright and inspiring creative space for little and big kids alike. Minni offers thoughtful art and design classes facilitated by engaging art educators. A true Boston gem!
Bretta Hutchinson: Great art center with lots of classes and programs for kids 1.5-10 years old! Workshops for adults and kids are super fun and creative too.
Michael Bailey: Cool space, great programs, and a friendly staff!

Oogie Art: what do users think?
Maddy: Oogie art helped a ton while I created my portfolio. I have to thank Ms. Choi for all her help, she cares a lot about her students and provided a lot of support while I was preparing to apply for university art programs. I took online classes and worked in the studio, and the classes are very intensive in a good way, they pushed me to work hard.
Marie You: I am beyond thankful for Ms. Choi and all the other art teachers at Oogie Art. As someone who started preparing for my portfolio relatively late (I started in the summer of Gr. 10), Ms. Choi and the other teachers still helped me reach my potential, resulting in me successfully getting into my dream art school.I highly recommend Oogie's online program. If you're concerned about it since it's fully done using video calls, please don't be. As a Canadian student, I took online classes 99% of the time (I did in-person classes for several weeks during the summer). Even though I couldn't see the teachers in person, I still received such helpful feedback for my work. All in all, it was no different than any other in-person art classes I have attended before Oogie. All in all, I loved Oogie Art! I genuinely enjoyed my time there.
Jiahe Wang: Ms. Choi is so incredibly helpful! I couldn’t have possibly finished my portfolio on time while maintaining such high quality if I hadn’t come to Oogie Art. Highly recommend this studio for anyone who is looking to apply for competitive programs and needs an art portfolio.
Audrey Laboz: I love going to Oogie Art Studio so much!! I started going to the Oogie Art Studio so I can improve my art skills. I learned more about drawing and oil painting with Noah Offitzer than I did with any of my art teachers I had before. I definitely recommend joining their programs or lessons if you want to just learn how to get better at the type of art you love to do!!
patti aronofsky: My daughter really found her voice as an artist at Oogie. Ms. Choi is a fantastic teacher who understands how to help students execute and refine their ideas. My daughter won numerous awards (scholastic gold) after working with Ms Choi. Oogie gave my daughter incredible opportunities -leadership responsibilities- like teaching art to children in Africa. My daughter spent her junior year of high school in the summer portfolio program at oogie and was just accepted early to RISD.Oogie’s program helped her refine her ideas for her college essays. She learned so much at Oogie. We highly recommend this program if your high school student is considering submitting an art supplement to college or even applying to art school.
Gene Suh: wow. Amazing school! Oogie Art has honestly changed my life, and the way I view and create art. They helped me so much with my college application and portfolio, and got me accepted into the most prestigious art schools in the US. An incredible place.
Ashley Simms: I really appreciate the help and feedback I get from the teachers. It really helped me grow as an artist who barely painted and did realistic paintings.
Jenna bae: Oogie is a helpful and supportive art school, they really help challenge you and teach you new skills and expand your artistic mind.
Jenny Zhou: Great teachers and nice environment to make art!
Mike Ssembiro: Oogie Art and Wook Choi we appreciate your water project at Kasangula Talent School in Uganda East Africa .It has not only impacted the school but also the community around.1.The school can now provide safe and sufficient water for drinking to staff and learners2.There is Improved health and Cleanliness of learners .They can Wash their hands after toilets4.Pupils no longer travel long distance to collect the water for drinking and cooking porridge.3.During dry season the community collect water from the school tank.
Yael Haruni: I've been attending Oogie art since 2013 and it's been a fantastic few years of great art classes! Ms. Choi and all of the teachers that have helped me have all been fantastic and really seem to care about every student there. I've noticed myself greatly improving over time and I'm extremely thankful for that :)
Mercilee Dixon: My daughter Maya started at Oogie Art NYC in the 7th grade with no experience, not even knowing how to draw. Today she has won multiple YoungArts awards, including 1 of 28 2018 finalists in visual art. Thank you Wook Choi and Oogie Art NYC for training and guiding her these many years. Well done. And keep training tomorrow’s artist.
Lee Dixon: I don't usually write online reviews but I just have to thank Wook Choi and Oogie Art NYC for helping my daughter Maya become the artist she is today. Thanks to Oogie, Maya has won multiple awards form YoungArts - including her selection as a 2018 YoungArts visual art finalist. Keep up the great work training tomorrow's artist.
C: I've known Wook Choi for over a decade and she is an amazing, kind hearted, enthusiastic, and driven woman. I started out as her student and learned a great deal about thinking critically and creatively as an artist. Wook Choi pushes her students to achieve the most they can, and really caters to each student's needs based on their skill level. She's a very busy lady, but she always makes time to meet with each student and their parents to make sure everyone is on track.
Jane Ding: The school and the owner cheat on everything. I would not recommend this school to anyone!!! Manhattan school only has one teacher for 40 students. The owner Wook Choi couldn't care less about the students. She talked on the cell phone all the time during the class and do work for the students to cheat on the art awards....
Astro Lee: I really had amazing experiences at Oogie art. I've went through a lot of studios and after school classes but this place was the one and only that helped me truly without lies and false advertising. Oogie art helped me with all their heart, and because of their effort, I could finish my portfolio in 2 months. And the amazing educators, they are FABULOUS!! They are really professional, caring and hard working. They never disappointed me, and especially Sophie, she is an amazing advisor! She introduces me to these amazing artists on Youtube and it inspires me a lot.And last of all, Ms. Choi! As far as I know, Ms. Choi is the person who care her students more than anyone. She gave me the best opportunity I can get in my life! She is amazing, and I can say for sure, Oogie art is the BEST studio ever!
Amy L.: I would not recommend Oogie Art to anyone. Very unprofessional and waste of money and time. Find other legit art school with talented instructors who genuinely care about your kid's future, not billing hours.
H S: Choi Wook is the WORST human being/ art teacher I have ever encountered in my life. She is good at making herself bigger than she is and managed to hire good MARKETING PEOPLE.I sincerely hope that students or students' family are no longer hurt by her LIES, BAD CHARACTERS (telling lies, being jealous, spreading rumors with no facts), and FAKE kindness. For her, it is all about her EGO and BUSINESS.She loves to PUT DOWN students who do not meet her standards and MAKES LIES so much about students, fellow teachers, and her competitors JUST TO WIN her position. I have never encountered a heartless teacher in my life. She had her husband call one student and said CURSING words that I can't even write here. Her other students told me that she made up AWFUL lies about the student to ruin her reputation. It was so SHAMEFUL to see that two adults that are HATERS acting like little kids with NO MORAL VALUES and CHARACTERS when they are supposed to encourage students and embrace their talent as an artist with great potential.
angela lee: Ms. Choi has been more than a teacher during my time at Oogie Art. She has been more like a mentor. I learned so much from her during my time at Oogie Art. She encourages individual style of artwork, which was very important to me.Her leadership has helped me get scholarships at multiple prestigious art schools and guided me in the path that was right for me and my future career. She is extremely passionate about art and her students- always looking for new ways to expose her students to different cultures and experiences in ways that I've never seen before.I continue to have so much respect for her dedication as an educator and artist.
Clare Cho: I still remember my first time in 7th grade when I stepped into Oogie Art and I was greeted with the warmest motherly greeting from Ms. Choi. To this day, a Junior in college, she greets me with the same warm smile I remember her by. I had been to other Portfolio classes but never a class where a Director was so passionate, involved in creating a relationship with her students. Under her guidance and other Oogie teachers, I was able to gain confidence, skill, and appreciation for the processes in which one could create to express oneself. With her guidance as well as her colleagues, I've found a passion for education and am now a Junior in the Art Education department in the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Ms. Choi gave me a space where I could explore, see more, learn more, and receive top guidance and helping hands from amazing teachers such as herself. I can not thank her enough.

Noah's Arts: what do users think?
Craig Noronha: Our kids go there for art classes and are doing a week long art camp this summer. They absolutely love it. I appreciate how the classes challenge the kids to think outside of the box and use materials in different ways then they are used to. Would highly recommend coming here ifnyoubare looking for an art class for kids. Our kids range in age from 7 to 11 if you are wondering but she takes younger kids as well.
