Chris Gill: The room was advertised as being small which I was fine with. But the headboard and adjacent closet had an inch of dust on it that got all over our stuff we had to put up there to keep away from our dog who stayed with us. The toilet was barely able to flush, needed several, long, flush attempts to even use it. The TV only worked for 50% of our short 2 night stay. Which was a huge disappointment. Almost all the time we spent in our room, we didn't have a basic amenity. Really disappointing for a 4 star hotel. Next time I think I'll save money and stay at a 3 star. I've had better experiences with "low quality" hotels than I did with Boston Park Plaza.

I am a world traveler never seen such a tiny rooms in my life.its a very old hotel but renovated recently its a clean hotel though. They charged us very high rate even with a group discount, rooms doors are so hard spring loaded every time you close make very loud noise, you can hear people through theWalls and closing doors, shower curtainsIn the washroom tub what a joke ,toilet are old school and tiny that my junk would touch water every time I used it,water would splash every where when washing or using sink, no free telephone line available, no breakfast was included even we paid more than other people, just basic TV channels, there was dirty window and complained to the front desk four times no body came even to look at it, couldn't open the window either, no shuttle to and from the airport provided. Yicheng Zhao: This hotel took extra 502 dollars from my card by some “system error”and hasn’t been return to my card yet. I personally think the 75 dollars per night “accidental fee” is overpriced. Now I have a strong sense of danger and anxiety that my money was on hold by a third party and don’t know when it will come back. The Wi-Fi network is not working for 3 days and I have to use my personal hotspot to access the internet and even costed me extra money to buy extra data because I some work to do in the hotel. My first booking is 3 days and a separate booking for another night. The first day I checked in, the staff in the front desk told me everything is settled and I don’t need a second time to check in and check out. But on the third day I was told that my booking is ended. I took nearly an hour to settle this, asked for my bank card and ID again. I haven’t experienced anything worse than this during any hotel in my life time.

Peter Drougas: Many reviews complain of small rooms. Aside from actually calling them wicked small rooms, they also post the square footage. These rooms are great for a one or two night stay. You shouldn't be in your room except to sleep, shower, fool around bit. Otherwise you should be seeing the sights!Staff was extremely helpful, polite and friendly.It was some of the other guests that were actually rude. Julianna K: I honestly don’t know what makes this hotel a 4 star hotel. Ya the rooms were clean but that’s it. They nickel and dime you everywhere, the front desk didn’t know any of the answers I asked (even the parking), i could understand if she was training but I don’t think that was it. Restaurant was not worth the money and the room views were not that great. Disappointed that there was no where to sit outside, would have been nice to have coffee out there. For the amount we paid, we could have stayed somewhere closer to central Boston.

Sarah Townsend: The views from this hotel were outstanding, the rooms were nice, clean, comfortable, and the breakfast options were very good. We got our breakfast To Go each day which was half price in comparison to dining in the restaurant. My biggest complaints are the fact that housekeeping was inconsistent. On our first full day, the room was cleaned/restocked, and when it was not cleaned the next day, we were told housekeeping is only available per request since the pandemic. We weren’t told this at check-in nor did we request it the day before when it happened so were confused. The staff, however, were very nice and helpful for the most part. The other drawback of this hotel is the location. If you want to just get out and walk around in Boston, this isn’t the spot as you have to either take the hotel shuttle to the airport to catch the train into town (very inexpensive but takes a while depending on where you want to go) or Uber/Lyft which is quick but gets pricey if doing this repeatedly for several days. Overall, it was a good stay but we’ll likely stay in a more central location the next time we visit this great city. Tip: go for a long weekend in April when the Marathon is happening as there’s so much going on and it’s lots of fun!

Pam Eschner: The rooms are compact but nice. No problem for us. Comfy bed, good shower, not a lot of counter space. But a really good breakfast, with eggs, meat, even a pancake maker machine! (which is nice for others.) I'm GF, so most places with breakfast only have yogurt that I can eat.Safety: You need the key card to enter the hotel, so that's nice to know for the middle is the night safety

I stated that we were there to visit a family member. As we went to sit in the waiting area we were told we could not be there cause we were a liability and we had to leave and could not wait in the building.So we did and had a talk with the Maine office. so its fair to say ill never go there again.

Aaron Burros: My friends and I stayed here for the 127th Boston Marathon, and yes, we were very surprised. They had the hotel marathoned out. Not only were we being welcomed and celebrated, but the runners who stayed there years before us were being celebrated.Noteworthy details: There's an entire mall area, just a stone throw away. The guy looks as me and says with a ridiculous attitude there is a $10 minimum for the card or you need to change it to your room. Calen Riggs: I booked the classic room through Amex Travel and was promptly upgraded to a Studio, which is their version of a suite. Everything was well-coordinated and efficient and the entire stay from 4/24-4/29 was excellent. Everyone here were friendly and down-to-earth for a place that is on the higher-end in the city. Overall, just a pleasant experience and certainly a place worth coming back to.Rooms: The first impression of walking into the room was almost like walking into a library or a museum. The Studio I was in was spacious, clean, and rather opulent. The TV was modern (unlike a lot of hotels in the city), the fireplace was a wonderful touch, and the beds were rather comfortable. The mattress was on the stiffer side, but nothing to be upset about. What was also nice is the fact you can open the windows to allow fresh air in. You don't see that often. The bathrooms were also exquisite, as well.Walkability: The hotel is in Beacon Hill, so a lot of historical sights are within a 5-minute walk. Granary Burial and King's Chapel cemeteries are nearby and The Freedom Trail is essentially around the corner. Boston Common was also less than a 10-minute walk away, as well. The high-end shopping of Copley is also around a mile away and certainly walkable if the weather is nice. The hotel is in a great spot depending on what you are looking for.Food & drinks: Mooo is attached to the hotel and is accessible through the lobby. The menu is extensive, especially the wine - which is something they are known for. In terms of food and the quality everything was great. The Meatballs and Dumplings were amazing. The Beef Wellington, to me, is one of the best in the city. Mooo isn't cheap, but the portion sizes were large and everything was cooked properly. To me, it is worth coming back for.
Green Space: Worst airport pickup ever - 25 min looking for the driver until I managed to leave the airport. So regardless of the hotel (I did not arrive yet) don’t book airport pickup with the hotel, it is a nightmare.One more thing: the ride from the airport to the hotel was less than 25 min 😂😂.
Michael Nam-Krane: I had a huge legal case and I stayed here to be close to the court house. This is the perfect hotel if you are doing important legal work in Boston. The rooms are great to work in. What started with a great evening with girlfriends at the property, ended up being terrorized and intimidated by a driver named Valentine Kogan who took me appart at 11PM and didn’t let me leave the hotel’s car service. He would stare and stand close enough to me that I felt he had an er_ction. He’s 70. I gave him money so he leaves me alone and I was able to run away.

Robert Hofmann: Really a hidden gem. Excellent room and the attention to service is one of the best in Boston. We travel also with our two small dogs and they treat them like Royalty! Its our go to hotel when we come to Boston. Beats hands down the other 5 star hotel down the street at double the price. Also, Mooo! ST: We have stayed at this property twice and absolutely love it! It's not a large high traffic place to stay. It has a quiet personal feel. The service is outstanding and in an age where going the extra mile to make guests feel at home is hard to find it's alive and well here. The in town driver service is amazing and the staff goes above and beyond. Thank you for another great stay!
Lisa Boston: I am as well one of the woman who escaped an attempted assault and was a victim of racketeering by a driver named “Valentine”. Strong accent, taller guy, intimidating vibe.I used to love coming to the hotel’s restaurant or bar as it used to be on my way from work.Some officers at the Boston Police are known to be shady and not do much with cases of assault or domestic violence, so don’t think the PD will do anything if you call for help. The police officers are misogynists and have a lot of “violation conduct” in their profile.The hotel does not operate objectively like a typical business. If allegations/with proof and correct descriptions were made at a 5 stars establishment like the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton (that I know well) they would have fired the individual within a week. The hotel staff is very aware this happened as It’s impossible to invent such details, or a precise description.None of the young women who made the claims are related to the hospitality industry nor are competitors.

Chris Kaftan: My wife and I stayed for one night to celebrate my birthday. We wanted to check out this hotel as it was recommended. There are three reasons why we're giving this place 2 stars and nothing more. The room was very nice in regards to amenities and the bathroom setup. The staff at the hotel were nice, and the valet/bellhop was also very nice. The reason we did not give this hotel a higher rating is because we had constant problems with HVAC all night. Our thermostat was set at 69 and it kept blowing cool and hot air alternating all night. It was a miserable night for us. We also did not have a positive experience eating breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The server did not listen to us and ignored my wife, and my breakfast was overcooked. For the cost we paid for breakfast, it was a disappointment. I hope the hotel management takes our concerns about HVAC and restaurant quality seriously for future guests who stay at this place.

H Specter: Das Hotel ist eigentlich sehr schön und super gelegen. Was mich nervt ist, dass mein Sohn seine neuen Schuhe am Abend in der Lobby vergessen(im Ecken, kaum sichtbar) hat, am Morgen waren diese nicht mehr da. Als ich nachgefragt habe, hat die Dame kurz nachgeschaut und meinte, dass die Schuhe nicht abgegeben wurden. Es wurde weder nach meiner Zimmer Nr. gefragt, noch was es für Schuhe waren, erst als ich nachgehakt habe, wurden die Daten aufgenommen. Es wird wohl jemand vom Putzteam diese mitgenommen haben und es ist ja nicht so schwer, herauszufinden wer dort geputz hat. Man stelle sich vor, dass diese Leute das Zimmer reinigen, das sollte in so einem Hotel meiner Meinung nach nicht vorkommen!

For you only the rules. Very low valeu for money. Not enough features to compensate. Breakfast not included. No room service. How could at this level of price they don’t clean your room? Or don’t offer you a spoon if you ask for it? I heard from the team here and I experienced here: “we do not clean unless you asked.” Terrible experience with Hyatt.

My only issue is that the hotel had a pool listed when we booked our reservation but it turns out that the pool has not been working since COVID and will not be returning. When I complained I received an email response from the Hyatt Regency Boston Assistant Front Office Manager and he said "... we have taken down all references and ads regarding the pool from our website to ensure that our guests have accurate information about our amenities. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused if you were expecting to use the pool during your stay." This did not help those who made a reservation before they took down the reference to it. Would I stay here again, absolutely! Was I disappointed yes, but I will get over it.Walkability: Centrally located in downtown Boston, did not take our car out of the garage from the time we arrived till we departed.

h82steal Yathunda: One of the best value in Boston for your money! Large rooms, great City view,! very comfortable beds edit last stayed multiple times 2022. Rooms were 150 more than before on average starting to look run down and lots of homeless in and around the building!
Kelly Ertmoed: We really enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Regency. It's location worked well for us. It's only a few blocks off the freedom trail and the commons. There are lots of food options nearby and the walk to Quincy Market area is easy and safe, even at night. We are in Chinatown one night...just two blocks away and it was delicious! The staff at the Hyatt were really nice and friendly. The concierge was very helpful. We took the redline T to Harvard and easily used the Downtown Crossing station nearby. We walked from TD Garden back to the hotel in about 20 minutes. North end was a 15 minute walk. Beds were very comfortable. I wish the rooms were a little cooler and we could use the AC even in March but that wasn't the case. We had our windows open the entire trip to cool the room. Overall, we loved this hotel and would recommend it.

Steve Wagner: Enjoyed my stay and it was convenient enough, with several restaurants in walking distance and Fenway nearby. The room was clean and modern, and the staff helpful and friendly. A nice lobby to hang out with friends, and when I needed help from the concierge to find a shop to unexpectedly fix my phone, his directions were spot on. Very comfortable stay.

Jeni Hardy: The moment I stepped onto the property staff were there to help in any way possible. They were so kind, courteous, and helpful. At check-in you're given a metal water bottle filled with great spring water, and then there is a tap on site where you can refill with either still or sparkling water. The entrance to the T is conveniently located on the property and ride shares are abundant in the area. There is a lot with in walking distance and the proximity to Fenway is perfect! The room amenities were wonderful! They went out of their way to assist me in getting a package mailed as well! I would absolutely recommend staying here!Rooms: The room was clean and well stocked with amenities. Even the hair dryer was top quality!Safety: The doormen are always there ready to help with directions, recommendations, or getting a ride!Walkability: There is so much to do in this area within walking distance! The bridge over the interstate gives you quick access to Fenway Park. Some of the sidewalks are the old brick and can be unlevel in places, but if you watch where you're going it's not an issue!Food & drinks: There were a lot of places to eat in the immediate area, including in the hotel itself. I highly recommend the Citizens Public House and Oyster Bar, a quick walk from the hotel.

Adam Buskirk: We stayed three nights while there was also a foreign President and huge delegation onsite. The hotel was impeccable from cleanliness to pleasant aromas to floral arrangements inside and out to a well laid out room. The service was extremely good, especially considering the poor service you get so many places today. Two names really stood out to us- Mary Ellen in the bar, and Adrian in the Grille. Great facilities and great service are an indicator of great management.
