Eugene Hayden: I used a card of another bank to withdraw money. ATM machine in this branch glitched and didn't dispense cash ($500). My bank said that the withdrawal was successful. The bank manager denied to do audits or call a technician to fix the machine. They stole my money. Terrible experience!!!!!
Bob Moran: Consistently BAD customer service from tellers and Branch Manager. Do yourself a favor and AVOID going here.

Morgan Woodruff: ATM had been OUT OF CASH five weeks in a row. When I called and asked the manager why this keeps happening the woman said “new manager Monday” — and hung up on me.I spoke to the new “manager” and he said that there is a digital report that runs and it is impossible for a machine to be out of cash — yeah, say that to yourself again out loud — because he would be notified that they are in violation of corporate policy. Um, what? He said he would look into it and call me back. He never did — SHOCKER — so I call back and he said oh I lost your number to which I replied you were given all of our account details because you said you would look into the transactions at the ATM. Ready? He explained to me that it would be a violation of corporate policy to use our personal data without our approval 🙈. I said and you’ve just lost our business. He then asked if this was a Seinfeld episode and I said it might be for you.I told him that we would be coming in and closing the account and I wanted cash money paper 💵 US American bills. He asked me if I could give him an approximate balance because he wasn’t sure he had enough money on hand.You cannot make this stuff up people.
Jacqueline Watchmaker: I went to Citizens Bank yesterday to get quarters for laundry. The staff were SO nice and helpful. A man who worked there even gave me a surgical mask (mine haven’t come in the mail yet). Highly recommend this bank and specially this location.
Albert Myrick: While the employees act like they mean well and are polite it's equivilent to TSA theater and they are all so bad at what they do even every other transaction requires them to ask a question of a manager and sadly they all belong to cults (who do way more harm than good). One employee is nice.

A: I called them by phone to ask about cash advance they said to me yes we do when I went to them they said to me I am sorry it’s not working I called the bank I asked about manager apparently the manager his name is Samir who is the same person answer me by phone and he said to me at Branch it’s not working, one of the worst bank I have ever I had
Agnes Zalewska: I went to close the account with citizens there (Copley branch) and to take out all my money in a form of certified check. They failed to inform me that there was a pending transaction on the account (a transaction that appeared as complete on my end) so technically, account wasn't closed and I got hit with service fees for two months for having an account open without money on it. Also, two letters notifying me of these fees came almost together, after two months. I went to Tremont St location trying to get help but they said there was nothing they could do to help, so I just paid all my fees and hope this is my last interaction and transaction with this most unhelpful, not caring about small costumers, bank.
J Q: Terrible customer experience here. I went into the branch was never greeted. Went and sat down to be seen reps were walking around talking to each other and I was never acknowledged. I was coming to do handle my business account. I’m really thinking of closing those 5 accounts

Wendy: As a whole, CItizen's Bank is meh - but usually you can count on reasonably friendly tellers and staff. However, at this location, they absolutely HATE their customers.There is almost always a line out the door, but today I peeked in at 4:37 pm and there was no line. So I went up to the teller with a question about a service charge on my checking account. The teller pointed to one of the agents in an office and said, "She can help you." So I walked in to the office and said "Hi, the teller sent me to you - I have question about my account." She replied "You see that I have my coat on? And I'm wearing my backpack?" Not understanding, I just continued with my question, and she snapped, "I'm not working." I said incredulously, "You're leaving? But it's not even 4:40!" She just pushed past me - no apology or referral to another agent or anything.I understand that occasionally people have to leave work early, but she was unbelievably rude. Fed up, I withdrew all my funds and closed my account (which took an inordinately long time; meanwhile, a line grew behind me all the way to the door). Then I took my money a few doors down to Santander, where they greeted me courteously and gladly processed my transaction (even though it was almost closing time). Good riddance, Citizen's Bank.
Julie M: Every Friday, unfailingly, there is a line out the door. I was so frustrated today that I jumped out of line and asked the manager and another woman just sitting in her office to put another teller on duty. There is no sense of urgency or concern for the customer's time. If I didn't need to deposit my check (which the ATM spit out 3 times) into this particular checking account, I would have gone next door to TD Bank. It's time to close my Citizens account which can only be done when I have ample time on my hands because there is always a long wait!
Boston W: I had a terrible experience with this Branch trying to renew a Home Equity Line of Credit. It took months. Repeated calls to the Manager received no response. Calls to Headquarters in Rhode Island finally got things moving. Despite Home Equity of $2.3 Million, no Mortgage and a Credit Score of over 800 they only approved me for 60% of what I asked for $500K. They had all kinds of excuses such as a turnover of reviewers etc., but no satisfaction re: the Manager of the Copley Boston Branch. I declined their offer and went elsewhere. Terrible Branch of a questionable Bank.

Aaron Seifer: Reportedly closing permanently this May - probably for the best. Staff is nice-ish, but the manager seems aloof and pretty disorganized. Go to Kenmore Square branch, stay away from the BU branch.

Jing Ma: I wanted to get some quarters and there were a huge crowd in BoA which is next to them so I went to Citizens. Guess what, I was told that I couldn't get quarters from them if I didn't have their bank account, even though I had cash. What can I say, I'll never have your account.I've been to many different banks to exchange for quarters using cash and no one else ever asked me whether I had their account or not. So I guess they don't have customers for a reason.

Chris Chan: I was there on August 18, and a very professional, kind, Asian woman helped me with my transaction. It was a somewhat hefty transaction and she made me feel at ease by asking for my ID and verifying certain information. She made sure I was able to see her every move regarding this transaction to ensure it was properly done correctly. She was very knowledgeable and respectful. She even thanked me for being a loyal customer for over a decade. This is the first time ever having a customer representative thank me for being loyal to this banking establishment. I couldn’t believe she said that! I wish I could have thanked her more for being a prime example of what customer service should be like. I also wished there was a section I could have written this on the survey they sent but of course they don’t include additional comments. This woman should be rewarded for her exceptional service. She went above and beyond for me and I felt very welcomed. I wish I got her name but unfortunately I was in a rush. I hope this review gets to her and her manager because she was the most sincere, respectful and genuine person I’ve met working at Citizens Bank.
MetBoston Limo: Applied for the PPP loan on April 6 as soon as Citizens made application available. Despite continual follow up emails and calls to Citizens, I still have not been provided the current status of my loan.The last email I received said that Citizens will inform customers on April 16 who did not get the loan. It is now the afternoon of April 17 and I have not had any update or contact with the loan department.

Arriana Rose: Will not exchange bills for quarters unless you have an account, even if you take the money out of their ATM and pay the $3 fee. So if you need quarters for laundry, this is not the place!
Bryan Hinkel: Absolutely terrible. They've sent my information to the wrong address multiple times, sending them my pin number and refusing to change my address or create a new pin at the branch. Absolutely the worst banking experiences I've ever had happen here. Do not choose this bank.
