Better Sorts Social Club: what do users think?
Tina Raisifard: Tucked away inside the hotel, very pretty on the inside and not usually too crowded
Fran Harrington: Excellent cocktails, great atmosphere
Dan in Dubai: Best bar in Boston. Clean and cozy. Ask for Brad - consumate mixologist. Come for the atmosphere. Stay for the drinks. Thanks mate.
Joseph Sullivan: Drinks were great. Server was friendly and accommodating. Food was surprisingly tasty.
William Roberts: Please open up again, this bar was unmatched in downtown Boston. We miss it!
Eaman Jahani: Nice music
Josh Gister: Great drinks, tasty bites. Bar service could be more attentive. A happening spot for a drink after work.
Shannon Landry Dawson: A little bit noisier than my eyes told me from pictures (I realize that's on me and ridiculous). But holy cow, cocktails. Our bar tenders were amazing and made some high quality cocktails that kept my group very happy for several hours. Classy joint, dark bathrooms, out of this world bar tenders, louder than ideal music, comfy bar chairs.
Jake Dasilva: Awesome place great atmosphere can’t wait to go back.
Scott Hoxie: Very cool lighting. Great bartenders and live performances
Michael Avakian: Really great
Georgio R: Great place and really nice band and ambiance. Came highly recommended by Dr. Keith Miller - totally studly dude.
Gege Jinstkhuu: Great cocktails!
Hema B Misra: Great ambiance and interesting cocktails. Perfect spot to bring guests visiting from out of town!
Ed: Fantastic service! Drinks were mediocre considering the price
Jessica Humphrey: Best cocktails around! The space is so luxe - ambient lighting, plush furniture, crystal glassware... a truly upscale experience. They have seasonal cocktails (as well as year-round), an extensive wine & liquor list, and food/snacks. It's the perfect place to relax with a cocktail and friends or a date. They also have spirit-free cocktail options which came in handy for my pregnant friend. I bring all my out-of-town guests here. We had a hard time finding it the first time - the doors to enter are right on Tremont street. Highly recommend!
William Toll: Creative drinks. Nice atmosphere. Awesome furniture.
haley: Excellent atmosphere and beverages
J Z: If you want the best drinks in Boston look no further. This is an amazing bar with a better selection. If you are looking for something new and interesting try this place out. The food isn't half bad either doe nibbling and only big enough to share with 2 or 3 max. I would say to try the Milk Punch and all the drinks under the greens are amazing.
Natassha Deepest Love: Not alot of options in the food section but major leagues in the drinks section. I and my honey had a really good time regardless. Lastnight it was a very smooth upbeat trendy high end with quality staff along with quality service. Definitely will return.
Emerson West: Expensive but quality drinks. They only have a small selection of appetizers to eat. The brussel sprouts and fondue is amazing.

Backbar: what do users think?
Lucy Job: Payton - bespoke, knowledgeable, and fun bartender. Perfect handcrafted drinks. If you have an opportunity, sit at the bar. Worth every cent
Isaac Santelli: I love this spot! Fun cocktails and sick ambience. Only issue is that everyone else loves it too so it’s impossible to get a seat. Go there early or on the weekend to avoid the line
Sebastian Schneider: Short wait on a Thursday night, but worth it! Super nice atmosphere and great drinks. Cocktail themes change from time to time, so always something new to discover! You can get some small plates earlier in the evening from the close by field and vines or bring in food that you order.
Claudia M: Usually a very long line but great drinks
Suren Keryan: Great cocktails and atmosphere. Definitely will come back! Սպրեք
Ryan B: i understand the constraints of having a small space and a high demand, but that doesn’t excuse the experience we had last night. we got to the bar around 9:45 and waited in line until 11 - an hour before the bar closes. If the host told us it would be a long wait, we would’ve accepted that and gone somewhere else. Instead, the host kept reassuring us that a table was opening up and then he would vanish for about 10 minutes only to come back and say the same thing. It was also discouraging to watch him take bribes to let people in behind us. Finally we get sat - the host walks us to a cramped table, changes his mind about seating us, and makes us stand against a wall outside the kitchen. Our waitress, Octavia, seemed really nice and also confused about why we were told to stand where we were put. We were given menus, waited about 10 more minutes, and left without getting anything since none of the staff cared to check in with us. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We won’t be coming back and we won’t be recommending this place to anyone.
Dimitri Haddad: The atmosphere is really nice, very welcoming and friendly staff, and the drinks were amazing!
Jorge Vega: Was there for their D&D night. So much fun.
Irene Toporovskaya: Amazing spot - extremely cool decor, vibe and the friendliest service. Delicious drinks. Highly recommend!
Christopher Steele: The cocktails here are worth the wait. All the same, arrive 15m before opening if you're not that patient
Katherine Horn: Baijiu night with bartender Nick was awesome! Great drinks and excellent explanation of the history of baijiu! The cocktails are expertly made, creative, and delicious. The staff here is knowledgeable and friendly.
Raj Sheth: Sadly mediocre/bad.They were serving a lord of the rings menu and really nothing on there was noteworthy. It all started off with the experience. I don't mind standing in a line and waiting to get in a spot. It seemed like one of the bartenders was leaving that day so there was a little industry get together happening at the bar. That being said, some lady literally cut to the front of the line, no acknowledgement was made and she acted like it wasn't a big deal. Fine, you know the people maybe you even work at the bar, but you wait just like everyone else. When we did get in, the menu as I mentioned was disappointing. Of the four drinks we got, we didn't finish two of them, that's pretty disappointing for a cocktail bar when their special menu is literally 6 or 7 drinks.I'd want to give this place another try, but right now, I don't get it and there are so many great spots in Boston.
Alona Hudanets: Firstly, the waiter was weird. I tried to explain what I wanted as best I could, but he just laughed in my face, which was unpleasant but OK. We ordered three cocktails and none of them were really tasty, they were just ok which is a bit disappointing for an almost 5 star review. We were expecting something more but sorry it was just another American bar
tt L: Walked in yesterday with my girlfriend, the" special" and untouchable person these days bartender said we can't come. Ok watch on video if you are a manager and see if it's appropriate or not. It was yesterday before closing. I understand working ppl want to go after shift , and I said we will get 2 beers and go home. He judged our appearance and said to leave. Please watch the camera if you want to know details
Erika Weiskopf: Most creative cocktails and themes are always so fun! I always end up trying something I don’t think I’d have at any other bar. Real gem. Love this place!
Katherine Nguyen: Amazing cocktails and such fun ambience. They have a rotating menu, however if you don't know what you want the bartenders have a whole repertoire to create anything with your favorites. There is very limited seating, so be ready to wait in line (40 minutes).
Tom McManus: Decent cocktails and a cool setting. One of the cocktails I had was not good. When I said something to the server I was told it was me and that I could order another drink but I'd still have to pay for the cocktail I disliked. I've never had an issue like this at a bar. I will never come back here. There are much much better cocktail bars in the Boston area.
Kelly McElligott: Cute, lowkey spot with delicious cocktails and mocktails!
P S: Hidden gem. A nice little speakeasy with delectable drinks! The menu is specially fun to look at. I hope this place remains as it is forever.
Avinita Shetty: Amazing cocktails and such fun ambience. This place is a must go for anyone who loves cocktails or someone who just wants to have anything but don’t know what exactly 😊 their bartenders can make drink of your choice and they are very very talented. Best cocktail I have had in all of east coast
Estrella Sun: Latavia was my bar tender. Ask her for the surprise drink. She’s won’t let you down!

Drink: what do users think?
Karina: Asked to be surprised with a whiskey based drink, got a whiskey sour. So innovative 🤦‍♀️
Devdav Newar: This is place was recommended by a lot of people and we were finally able to get a spot. You need to come in early and wait in line to get in but its all worth the wait. The concept of this place is great. A bartender asks you the alcohol base and flavours you like and then he works his magic and mixes an amazing cocktail. There is no menu so you can ask for anything. We were 5 people and everyone gave their own wish list for the bartender to work his magic. Our favourite was this vodka and saffron based drink that he made and it was one of the best cocktails I have had ever. The other ones were also great. There was nothing that we did not like. They have a small menu for food as well. We got the fries and churros to go along with the drinks and its the best combination ever. Its a great place for a night out.
Sara Ansari: The bartenders here are gifted. There’s no drink menu, you tell them what you want and they make their concoction. Say what you want - vodka, lime, agave, whatever - and the drinks they make are unbelievable. And if you don’t know what you want and say something like a dirty martini, it still comes out better than any other place.
Bert Thurlo-Walsh: We came tonight and requested a specific bartender (gentleman with beard) and the response from the bartender was less than respectful. When asked for drinks we were met with facial disdain and attitude. The response about our request was to go elsewhere. Well, we did and will NEVER return or recommend Drink again. Barbara Lynch prides herself on quality and this was much less than that…rather unfortunate. Our friends said it had gone downhill and we felt that was not true; however, they were correct. We cannot and will not recommend Drink!!! We have been to other restaurants of Barbara Lynch’s and the treatment and attitude was unwelcome at Drink.
Courtney Klein: I love this place!!! Luke made my friend and I the best drinks we’ve ever had in our lives 🤩 will definitely be going back!
Mika: Very cool experience! Waited about 10 minutes in line on a Friday night to get in. The atmosphere was very nice. The experience of explaining what kinds of flavors/liquors you like then getting a customized drink was very unique and fun! The bartender was professional and knowledgeable. Admittedly, the drinks were not my favorite, but they were so different and quirky that they felt specially designed for me.
Jim Ratliff: Over crowded. Over loud. Over priced. Long wait at 4:30 pm on a Saturday. No seating available, had to stand. Decent custom $20 cocktails.
Alexandros Zervos: Service is way too slow despite the good drinks.
Emily Hamman: Super cool experience at Drink! The bartender, Frederic, had a great personality and his extensive knowledge on drinks was crazy. We had to wait over an hour to get in (arrived at about 8 PM on a Saturday) but it was worth it! Drinks were awesome.Updating my review:Came back here when I had guests in town. Another great experience - didn’t have to wait at all on a Thursday evening, drinks & food were great. Churros were tasty but the chocolate sauce they were served with was weird with them. Fries were really good and large. My guests said it may be the best espresso martinis they’ve had!
Yehonatan Meshali: Nice place,The concept is so cool! They will ask you what kind of tastes you like and creat the perfect drink
Joseph Doyle: Great drinks. Had two very different and very excellent riffs on an old fashioned. Also great burgers and fries. Looking forward to coming back.
Raj Sheth: Such a fun spot.I'll always love a bar where creativity is king. Hunter was our bartender and he was fantastic. Making drinks based on flavor profiles is hard and he really just hit the nail on the head with a lot of his drinks. The biggest winner was definitely our last drink, he made a bananas foster kind of espresso martini - it was amazing,
Sarah: Overall a really fun and different experience than your typical bar. I was with a group of 6 and we were invited in to standing room only and then moved (by the staff) to stools when seating became available thus changing the bartender who was serving us. Our new bartended ignored us to the point it was comical with others around us acknowledging that we were addressing him to no avail. When we finally got his attention to order he would only listen to one person before turning away and hearing the rest of our orders. At one point one of us ordered and then he took and made multiple orders of others. We waited to so long for this drink that we had to tell him not to make it because we had to leave for a dinner reservation. When we got our bill, we were charged for one extra drink. I addressed this with the bartender and he was unwilling to help. Granted, we switch bartenders in the middle of our visit so it’s understandable that a mistake happened but he simply insisted that he made us 2 drinks and that was our bill. Pretty infuriating given the price of the drinks and the automatically added 20% tip. I think the bar itself has amazing potential, but please address the downright rude employee who was working in the large center bar on the side furthest from the door on the night on 3/8.
Jonah Weitzel: Different concept
Roberto Cibrian: Fantastic experience with great drinks an food. Line can be long but it is totally worth it.
R: I was so excited to bring my wife to my favorite bar in Boston, Drink, for her birthday. We got to the place and waited in line for about an hour, but I assured her it would be worth it. We eventually made it in, 30 minutes later, someone came by with water and asked us for our drink preferences. He made us a drink each and then left. We were there for 3 more hours and no one even looked in our direction, let alone asked us if we would like another drink or even to close out our tab. They were, however, extremely friendly with the groups around us - to the left and right of us- joking around, refilling their waters, others were even on their 3rd or 4th round. It honestly felt like they were avoiding us the entire night. No one acknowledged us at all. I've never felt so unwelcome before.I will not be coming back here. The idea was fun but the service was extremely unwelcoming and definitely not worth the $32 I paid for 2 drinks. This experience seems consistent with other 1 star reviews.
Mike DeLuise: Apparently Sportello and Drink have the same ownership, one could not tell from the experiences we had. The waitress at Sportello was fantastic and offered to get us into Drink downstairs. As soon as we entered Drink, we went to the bar to order a …. drink. The bartenders basically told us to F off. So we left and will never return.
Sara Wolfe: We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Drink. Our party of three waited about 15-20 minutes on a Saturday night around 7. Completely worth it. Roberto took care of us and was amazing. He was so friendly and really helped make our experience. We loved each drink, and they really did seem tailored to whatever we asked for. The fries were also killer. Highly recommend!
John Beebe: Took my girlfriend for a couple drinks before dinner. It’s impossible not to have a good time here. This was the best spot to start the night. In fact, we had such a great time, we returned for a nightcap. Staff is unbelievably awesome - Thanks, Alan!
Tom McManus: Potentially the best cocktail bar in Boston. This place is carefully staffed with fantastic, highly creative mixologists. The drinks are outrageously good and there are some decent food options. The line can get really long so plan to come early.
John Wiesemann: Food options are much better than they were before 2020. Drink options are great as always, it's fun to play the game and explore new drinks with the bartenders.

DrinkMaster Bartending: what do users think?
Gio Rojas: It was great working with Jason (owner and planner), Julia (admin and coordinator), and Eric (chef and bartender). Although I would have wish that during the planning and prep we could also coordinate with Eric, it went well. Since Jason was the bridge between us/company and Eric, all communications went through Jason. Therefore, when there was a minor issue the day of the event, we urgently called Jason to pass on a message to Eric. Aside from that, working with them was great for our Cinco de Mayo ERG event, and everyone loved their kits! The shipping was super fast 1-2 days for most people (in the US), so that was awesome. Thank you again, and people are already asking for another event with DrinkMaster!
Sarah Bana: If you want a lively and fun evening out, then I highly recommend attending a mixology class at DrinkMaster. You’ll explore all aspects of making a cocktail that will cover different spirits, sweeteners, juices and bitters. I booked a surprise birthday celebration for a family member. By the end of the class, we were all able to make several well balanced cocktails thanks to DrinkMaster and their knowledgable bartenders who were well organized, highly energized, fun and very entertaining. My family and I didn’t want the class to end!
Amy: Came to DrinkMaster for a Team Outing and had the best time. From the history to the trivia to the playlist in the background, everything was so much fun!It is great they way they had us in groups as Bartender and customer so you really got the full experience. We had several people in the group say they learned a lot and understood cocktails much better and I personally cannot wait to try and make my own bitters.
Talah Momenah: Such a great experience. Eric and Jason are amazing at what they do! Dont hesitate to book them, everything was great! Thanks again
Daphne Budd: Drinkmaster was amazing!!!! Did this for my sisters bachelorette party and would recommend to everyone and anyone! Jason was so accommodating, organized and kind. He made sure to contact me to let me know all about the class before booking. Then helped me through the entire process and checked in day of. Eric, our bartender, was incredible! He was so fun and answered all of our questions. He was so knowledgeable about bartending and alcohol it was so fun to listen and make cocktails. And the add on charcuterie board was perfect :) Would do it again!
Joseph Carroll: Had a virtual cocktail class with my team last night. Eric with DrinkMaster is the man. Very knowledgeable, engaging, and made the event a blast. My team loved it.The drink choices are bomb and they set you up with the full package to ensure every team member has what is needed to mix properly. Highly recommend checking them out.
Vinicius Almeida: I didn't know what to expect when I enrolled and all I knew is that I wanted to learn more about cocktails, mixology, crafting, wines, beers, skills and techniques that I could apply while bartending. I had no idea what to expect from this class, but I was given more. Ryan was unbelievable. Incredibly knowledgeable, funny, kind, and just a pure expert. He was patient, went over the smallest details with us, explained over and over again, made the class fun and engaging instead of boring and theatrical. There was a lot of hands on which is what I wanted and we trained with our classmates while making cocktails. Ryan made himself available to help us not only during the class but in the future, reminding us the doors are always open if we want to stop by and refresh, and even practice the menu of the bar we're working at or intend to. I couldn't recommend DrinkMaster enough. Ryan, you're 10/10! Keep on rocking.
Vanessa O'Connor: We cannot thank you and your entire team enough. Your flexibility working around our event program and willingness to work with us on a hybrid experience is truly appreciated!
Beth Cook: We went to a craft cocktails class and had a lot of fun. Not only that, we learned some interesting things about craft cocktail ingredients. We also made and tasted some delicious cocktails. Mostly, though, we had a lot of fun.
Marcela Velarde: Huge thanks to Jason, Eric & Julia for all the coordination & fun time. Highly recommended!
Leon: Have you ever considered becoming a bartender? Then I can truly, wholeheartedly recommend DrinkMaster. Ryan was an absolutely wonderful teacher who took his time answering questions, teaching the ropes, and laying for us the groundwork of bartending while also giving us insight on his personal experiences and knowledge. I never once felt like my time there was wasted, even as we covered topics I already knew as a result of prior work experience. I am thrilled to come by when I have the time to brush up on my learning— and can’t wait to utilize my license in the future!
Amanda Mills: I did the DrinkMaster Bartending course and it was great! Ryan was my instructor and he was very knowledgeable. I left feeling prepared to work my first job. The only thing that would have made it better was if we got to do some tastings. I kind of understand why it's not added to this class but it would be cool!
Gabriel Crowell: Great classes, incredibly fun and entertaining! Teacher in smart and great at his job, if ur looking for bar tending classes that will leave u satisfied, look no further.
Adrianne Denenberg: Given this experience as a birthday gift with my bestie, the night was fantastic! Eric and Ryan co-host and co-train all attendees in a creative, fun way! Definitely worth it, I'm already thinking of who I can bring so I can attend again! Thanks so much!
Rose Santos: I had to write to express my gratitude for this program. In particular to Ryan, our instructor, who was outstanding with all his knowledge and passion for bartending. He was so incredible and inspiring that I felt a little bit sad on Friday, when it was over. The program takes 5 days, however It felt like way more than that, since every single day I learned so much. It was awesome!Thank you so very much Drinkmaster, for the quality of teaching I received, and for making me feel very confident to become the bartender I wanted so bad!I was a student of class last week at 45 Bromfield Street in Boston.I am definitely recommending this program to my friends!
Jessica “Space Kitty” x: Very fun and welcoming atmosphere! Great Teachers they know this business and have such passion for knowledge of all the parts from the ingredients, to the service and show of it all! Highly recommend
Cora Cluett: Ryan was great!! Welcoming atmosphere. I recommend the course for anyone who wants to become a bartender. Great experience
Sue Ridgway: Thank you for the amazing customer service in making our event happen for us SO quickly. The team LOVED the packages and were impressed with the homemade syrups! They were delighted to make fun, delicious drinks together as a team.Sharing a BIG, grateful thanks for coming thru for us in such a terrific way!
AC high: The class was fun, entertaining and educational. Who doesn’t love craft drinks with cocktail trivia! Eric was awesome and had great energy!
Sara Horning: Eric and Jason were great! It was very easy to set up our event and it was a massive success. They even set up our event for us with less than a week's notice!
N Hoyle: Had a really great experience with Eric - visiting from London with family and he made our cocktail making class really fun!

Brick & Mortar: what do users think?
Naomi Dominguez: I’m sorry I spilled my drink last night
Eric Kalis: Very chic spot, fantastic cocktails, chill vibe. Well done, y'all!
What whatter: Misleading name.
Réda Houssaim: Completely foreign to the concept of service or being nice. Too bad because the place has potential
Maya Shen: Among all cocktails we ordered, the ones from their signature section’s most unique and refreshing, recommended! The others were more standard. Friday night can get very crowded, they have a strange waitlist system, when they text you they’re ready for you, the host would lead you to a standing bar spot where it’s quite crowded and you have to wait there for another 15-20min.s to be seated.
Lydia Chew: It's a bit pricey, but it's a great spot to meet a date or friends. We initially had a little trouble finding the place - based on Google Maps, which makes the bar look like it's further back in the building than it actually is, we walked straight past the entrance and into Graffiti Alley, trying the (locked) doors there to no avail. It's actually right on Mass Ave, with a narrow entryway that leads you up a flight of stairs. There's a convenient coat rack at the top of the stairs. The place was pretty well filled out for a Thursday evening and had a great vibe, with the lights dimmed, music playing, and groups chatting and laughing in the background. We all ended up ordering the "her majesty's secret service" house special cocktail ($14), which was a delicious choice. It has earl grey tea infused vodka, local wildflower honey, and lemon. Those elements mesh together wonderfully. Just one was enough for me to feel the effects, but I'd also come back to try one of the special reserve cocktails here, which are made with top-shelf liquor and have even more of a kick to them (some of those even carry drink limits!).There aren't a ton of food options here, but we also ordered roasted mushroom tartines ($15) and tuna and fried caper deviled eggs ($9). Both smelled superb, had great presentation, and were quite tasty.
Thea Pan: Amazing cocktails without fail! Loud and crowded on weekends but oh well, it’s Boston. I love this place
Phil B: I enjoyed the drinks and the atmosphere. The wait wasn't bad. I recommend the Mexican Radio cocktail.
Amanda Holmsten: Friendly staff, great atmosphere and delicious cocktails
Ashley: My bf and I picked went to this cocktail bar on a Friday night. We didn't have reservations but for put on a 15 min wait list. They texted us literally 15 mins later. We were really excited. The atmosphere is very different but we loved it. We first for the Mexican radio, which was okay in my opinion it was too citrus for my taste. So the next drink I got was the Electric kool-aid acid test and my bf got the Oaxacanite. These were way better than our first drink. Well def recommend this place to friends
KR Marañon: That second date spot that could secure the deal, cocktails rack up quick and seating could be very limited.
Michaela Harris: First time going last night and the drinks were AMAZING, staff was so attentive to needs and great ambiance all around. Will be back again!
Siddhartha Shandilya: Terrible place if you have any dietary preferences. They brought me my order without paying attention to my dietary restrictions despite me mentioning it. Well I understand mistakes happen, the waitress brazened it out without even offering to replace it or apologise for it. They don’t take customer service seriously as they have a high footfall and can afford to be brazen out any bad experience a customer has. One of those places that think they are doing a favour to the customer by simply existing.
Matt Kramich: You could call it the best cocktail spot in Boston
Samantha LaForgia: What a nice chic spot. Great find. Swanky and nice and so chill. Nice staff, good drinks, always a good spot for a chill night!
Ivelina Darvenyashka: I've been coming to Brick and Mortar for a long time - they have great cocktails and bartenders are the best. However I had a bad experience last week, celebrating my bday there. Since this is a no reservations type of place I went there with my husband earlier around 5:30pm to be able to find a spot. We were about 12-13 people and sat at the table when you first come in plus the space next to it since the table is for 6 people. We were asked by the manager to either sit at the table or occupy only the standing spot so other people can fit in, which was ridiculous to ask since the table was for 6 people and we were already occupying the area and was feeling pretty tight. Then she came back again and asked with an attitude to move our group to another table at the back next to the toilets, explaining that this was for walk in groups ,which we obviously were! Anyway, we moved to a table that could fit 10 ppl so we still had people standing; I think when you have a group making you good $$$ ordering drinks all night it's not the best decision to treat them like that - zero professionalism, awful attitude, when asked for her card she refused to give me her contact and name.I hope they change management because this place is otherwise good, but to treat people like this is not. There are plenty of other new great bars in Boston where you are treated like a customer. Not coming back any time soon for sure!
James: Rude manager and front desk employees even during slow hours. I am glad I am never going there again
Joshua Jakimczyk: great drinks, awesome staff
Seth Gertz-Billingsley: Average bar. Cool vibes, but lots of places have that.
Isaac Santelli: Decent cocktails, overpriced
Adam Falk: Amazing vibe and amazing drinks. The small plates are pricey and worth it

K Q: I understand that fancy burgers are usually great at Medium/Medium Well, but if you’re going to serve them that way, it should be known. I assume that since you didn’t ask, my burger would’ve been fully cooked. I am pregnant and needed my burger fully cooked due to the raw meat (bacteria, etc, etc). I was fully prepared to answer how I wanted it cooked, but was never asked. It came out pink. Luckily my husband had a different meal with fully cooked meat and he offered to switch plates with me.
Annaliese Heindel: Love JMs go often, great cocktail, caramelized onions in the burger are iconic. Nashville hot fried chicken isnt too hot, franks red hot level, still a pleasant sandwich! I would just call it something else cause it’s on a italian sub bread
Aine Ni Thuathail: This was just ok, the food was not great, fries were cold and hard, burger was not great really. Atmosphere was nice for drinks but can’t recommend for foodVegetarian options: Very little choice

The music they had playing was good, 90's alternative mostly. I heard some Echo and the Bunnymen while there.Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Nashville Hot Chicken …More
Ravisara L: Affordable cocktail bar with bar food. Very cool concept. I would recommend the elderflower sour for the cocktail.

Harvard Bartending Course and Bar Services: what do users think?
Andrew Creed: Took the course and passed, never received my TIPS certification and nobody returned my calls and e-mails after months of attempting to contact them. Complete waste of time and money.
Jayde Burgos: A lot of the information is useful and helpful but the problem with this course only being one day is that employers don't take any of us seriously. My instructor was really nice but the name isn't enough for a job. Its experience or not these days haha
Matt Deveney: I took the Harvard bartending and mixology course and loved it! Already have my first job in bartending.
Bryant: Took this course last year and loved it! Art of Mixology was awesome - it's cool how Ben teaches not just specific recipes but like the skills and core of what you need to make drinks in general. Also like how it's set in a real bar setting. TIPS part was not as exciting, but that's completely understandable (I don't think any other TIPS certification course would be any different since it's standardized).

Ward 8: what do users think?
Donna Wadsworth: Overpriced. Small portions. Not worth it in the slightest. Way better restaurants in the city that aren’t stealing from you for crumbs of food. Paid $17 for a salad that’s the size of a side salad, my bf paid $17 for six old bay wings. This is literal robbery. Very disappointing.
A McDonald: Smelled funky (glass cleaning stuff?), server was clueless about menu, all the food came out at once (no apps followed by entrees) and was obviously pre-prepped and reheated, food was either drenched in sugary sauce or tasteless. A shame because the space is nice.
Stephen Bates: Had breakfast here, food was excellent, disappointed in having to ask for milk for coffee and butter for toast however both came quickly once asked for.
Denise: Ward 8 is a hidden gem. The drinks are great and the vibe is intimate. I recommend a reservation but not always necessary.
Alejandro moreno: Great food and great drinks! Great service as well, Jose and Lily are awesome
Sam van de Ven: Great first date or brunch spot!
Ani Rooney: Food, staff and atmosphere are great. Music is too loud. I am sitting here now, we are regulars but can’t have. a conversation unless we yell. Staff can’t hear our orders need to repeat because music is too loud. Dampens the mood and ambiance.
Andrew Bisceglia: Solid spot for some beers and snacks. (Stay away from the crab cakes? Good beer selection as well!
Baron Watson: I stumbled on this place on accident, but happy I did. It’s a good cross between a sports bar and a cocktail bar. Food and drinks are excellent, and the kitchen is open late!
D.: Stopped in for brunch, and the chicken sandwich I had was very good. Now, the Sazerac cocktail was strong (nothing wrong with that)and a good fit for those who like a licorice tasting drink. The service was great.
Songhyun Jang: Love it.
James Zabik: I visited Ward 8 before going to a Celtics game since it was nearby and had an open reservation. From the reviews, it seems promising for good cocktails and eats. Unfortunately, my experience was pretty inconsistent and there were some positives and negatives. I’d say Ward 8 is pretty middle of the road and nothing to really write home about. The cocktails were okay, nothing too special but at $15 I hoped they’d be a little more flavorful. The Mac n cheese is actually really good. Super cheese and came out piping hot. The pork belly buns are always pretty good too. I would definitely suggest though two for sharables. The soft pretzel wasn’t what I hoped, it seemed like something you’d get from Costco. It was also pretty small and dry.The grilled salmon entree is actually really good. The salmon was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The kale Caesar salad was pretty mediocre. There was much more romaine than kale and the dressing wasn’t very flavorful. I added grilled chicken and while I got a lot of chicken, it was over cooked and dry.The service was pretty good but did get slow toward the second half of our sitting as it got busier, but our server was kind and attentive. The ambiance was okay but during the daytime seemed a bit dark. I say at a tiny table in the corner where the wall shook every time the front door closed which was unexpected.Overall, this place is fine if you need to grab food before a game but honestly wouldn’t go out of my way for it.
Ariel Folkerts: Great for brunch! Fun bar for happy hour or dinner.I started going to Ward 8 in 2019 and recently visited in 2023 and felt like the brunch menu was much lower quality than previous visits.
Sarah Farnsworth Hatch: Can’t speak for most things on the menu but their Mac and cheese is flawless!
Jeff McHugh: Thank God for Ward 8! We pulled a rookie mistake and didn’t make reservations before the Bruins game but luckily stumbled upon this gem!Grabbed a seat at the bar and had great service from the Bartenders! The food was excellent (I recommend the fried chicken sandy) as was the atmosphere! Thanks for saving my wallet from buying food at the Garden my guys!
Joey Tollinchi: Came here off google reviews. But Don't sit at the bar. Service was so horrible. I had to ask them if i can order. Never again will come to this place. Servers was having there own conversations in corner when customers was waiting to order. Sunday 2/19/23 1pm check your cameras if I'm lying. Never checked if we were ok when our food came out. Food was good service was very bad. Smh never again. 👎👎👎👎
Matthew Charette: First time here, ordered the freezer martini and it’s not good. also my ice water cup must have had jalapeños in it before because it was more like a spicy ice water. A simple but honest review. Hopefully I can adjust this next time I’m in Boston because the ambiance is cool and other reviews indicate a good cocktail bar.
Thanarut Tangkham: So bad restaurant! The food is normal, some is not yummy. The food came pretty late. Two cocktails did not come to our table and the waiter proceeded for refund, but I did not get the refund. I called them back after almost one month. First call, the manager was not there. A waiter asked me for leaving information for manager but nobody called me back. I had to call them again. Second call, I talked with a general manager, he said he did not get any information!!!! Omg!!! Then, he said that he will refund for two cocktail without a new calculation tips and tax!!!! And he also let me calculate tips and tax by myself to refund. Is that our responsibility to do that??? What happened to this manager. However, I did calculated by myself and called him again. Is there a calculator at Ward 8?????? If I calculated wrong, what will happen???? I wasted my time to this restaurant. Really bad impression !!!!!! Not recommend you guys to come.
abigail marin: Excelente comida deliciosa ambiente agradable muy recomendado
Caroline Gray: Good food, a little expensive but delicious!
Carly Matasavage: We felt lucky to have found a spot here on a busy Saturday night in Boston! We sat at the bar and ordered some drinks and dinner and were highly impressed. The staff was extremely helpful and looking around at the other food made it difficult to decide what to pick as everything looked so good!We started with the guacamole and chips which we loved, and I had the double cheeseburger for my meal. The burger was extremely filling and the fries were great as well! We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Boston.

City Bar Back Bay: what do users think?
Jonathan Lewis: Excellent! Clutch spot for late night food, serving until 1am. Believe it or not chicken tenders are very very good!
Jay HoL: Brie burger was amazing. Chef was very accommodating to what we could eat. Service was a little slow but it was very busy.
John Rahman: This is my favorite bar in all of Boston. The ambience is wonderful, the drink selection is really good and it's not all that pricey. They make a really good mango mule.
Sadhbh Donnelly: I had an unpleasant experience at this bar. The waitress was very abrupt and we did not feel particularly welcome. As a result we decided to go elsewhere.
Fermin Romero III: LOVE the atmosphere!
James Easton: Bit pricey but nice server. Other staff not as friendly
Greg masters: Pick your cocktail
Cathy Jack: No atmosphere, cocktails over priced and nothing special on menu - staff were lovely (even security of hotel and support staff)
Craig P.: Nice place to have a good martini
Rhonda Stisi: Nice people and atmosphere!!!
Edward Nugent: The drink was perfect, the atmosphere was subdued, and the bartender was attentive and stayed in the background. The penultimate city bar!
Frank: Very crowded but we luckily found a table. Not reservations needed. Beautiful interior and friendly service. Pretty noisy, but we had a nice time.
Os Cobogós da Vida por Fer: Sofisticado, com excelente preço e atendimento, fica dentro do The Lenox Hotel .A carne me surpreendeu: perfeitamente no ponto.Enjoy!
Zachary Hong: Chaotic, service completely disappointing
Matt Tremblay: That was perfect! I had a good. The security Terrin was really helpful, thankfûl and really kind. I recommend everyday!!!
Gustavo A. Ramirez Z.: This is the spot if you want to relax and spend very good time.
Eric Walsh: Very nice, comfortable bar in a nice chic hotel. Knowledgeable staff, fast a very courteous.

Roxanne's: what do users think?
Virginie Meunier: If the place was half as good as it's amazing decorator, i'd consider it an OKAY bar. We visited on the 17th of April and had one of the worst customer service in my life. I've had far better experience at questionnably filthy shawarma places!Decor: AmazingFood: Nice, adequate, nothing to ay for the price.Drinks: I didn't like like what I took but am ready to believe their menu contains some ok drinksBarmaid: Unable to do a basic ameretto sour and refused to serve any drinks outside the menu.Purple short haired waitress: Go get another job. You clearly don't like yours and single handedly took out a few stars of this review.
Laura Haenchen: My favorite bar in Boston!! Try the grilled cheese!
ingrid oliveira: i’ve been wanting to come here for the longest time and it met my expectations! the cocktails were fun and tasted good, although i wasn’t a fan of the for the girls drink — it was too sweet. the small plates are good to share and for a little snack, definitely not s meal. it’s very cute and colorful inside which i loved. definitely a place for the girls!
Katherine Horn: Pretty cocktails that I wish were yummier. A tasty grilled cheese. One of the cheapest places for dinner in downtown Boston. Colorful tropical vibe.
Kay Thomas: Adorable interior. Love the artistic decor. Nice and bright. Welcoming. Great service. Fab food
Victoria Gelmi: Very pleasant experience. We dropped in for a drink before dinner, sat right at the bar and was served right away. Cocktails were delish, I ordered the journey work, basically a whisky sour and my boyfriend had the staycation. Both were delish. Bill was $35 including tip - so can’t complain. Would come back….
Madison Burns: Great food, snacks to share! Definitely need a reservation. Was sad because the drink didn’t have the bubble to pop like I saw in tik toks, but it was tasty!
Caroline Williams: It’s just ok. Overhyped. No food past 10:30 even though it closes at 12. Pretty interior but there are prettier places in Boston. Drinks were not that great. I had an “in Tokyo” and it was warm 🤢 nasty.
Sergey Huba: Great cocktails, great style, great prices. Highly recommended! One of the best milk cocktails that I’ve tried.
Amanda B: I love the decor and vibe here but I adore the bartenders even more! They make some great drinks. You gotta try the Staycation 🌸
Mackenzie Kellar: I’ve been here twice for birthday celebrations (table of 6) and both times, the hostess/servers were rude and made the experience less than ideal. Both visits were on a Thursday evening, so the place was not overly busy or crowded which would understandably lead to stress for the workers, yet still wouldn’t excuse rude attitudes. I wouldn’t judge a place based on one experience, and was actually happy to go back nearly 4 months later, but when we received the same rude attitudes for a second time, I decided I will not be going back. That’s no way to treat a paying customer. (3 stars because if you can ignore the way they treat you, the drinks are pretty good, I’ll give them that).
Sagar Basaula: A good place to drop by after work
Tim: Tried to call over 10 times to cancel a reservation and was still charged for a no show. Will never be returning..
Amrita Sneha: This place was amazing. Interesting choice of cocktails and appetizers. Our waitress Brianna was super sweet with taking orders and getting them on time!!
Caroline Gray: Sooooo cute! Love this place, such a fun vibe!
Sean Gray: Great drinks, great bartenders, great atmosphere, great location. No mint = mild inconvenience on some drinks. Favorite place in Boston so far!!!
Nathan Ridge: Stopped in for a quick drink and staff was extremely friendly, and the atmosphere was great! I love the design and setup. The drinks were very good and the snacks we ordered were fresh and delicious. We'll be coming here again!
Alex Cole: D-liciois cocktails
Nick Graham: Average quality food and drink, very good service
Kyle Ian: Pretty terrible experience overall. Was sat at the table next to the door with many other tables open; they don't have a set of curtains to prevent cold air from blowing in when people enter/leave so freezing the whole meal; asked for the most basic cocktails which seemed to stump the folks at this full bar cocktail bar, paloma ("we don't have those") and daiquiri ("will have to see if we can make that"). Daiquiri was essentially a full glass of simple. Watched host ask multiple tables to leave as they hit the 90 minute covid mark- but the tables were already waiting for checks for over 20 minutes (ourselves included); host mentioned only the server can handle the credit cards, only one server for the whole place (which takes reservations so you'd think you would have more staff if you know you're fully booked for the night). From reading previous reviews, it seems like there's a consistent theme here of bad experiences with the staff/beverages/wait, and the owner seems to write hostile responses to reviews so there seems to be zero reason to support this business.
Lenrock: Cool location and vibe, service was also good and drinks were some of the best I had during my Boston stay.
