Janis Ian: We found Lekker by accident, searching for a new kitchen table and chairs. Our needs were pretty specific, especially when it came to size and color. We found a table we loved, and four chairs. Having just had a truly miserable experience ordering on line from a restaurant delivery aggregator, we were quite nervous about spending so much money with a place we didn't know. Looking at their online reviews reassured us and we spoke with them by phone as well; knowing they had a brick and mortar store was even more reassuring.The table is almost exactly what we expected; it's actually better made than the description would have had us believe. The chairs are hugely more beautiful than the photos, too. Dimensions were accurate, and the people who delivered with white glove service were polite, thorough, and on time.We did have confusion with the actual delivery company, over the course of several weeks and numerous calls and emails - but within an hour of notifying Lekker, they'd responded to us, and they continued to over-see everything until we were finished. And much to our surprise, they also refunded a portion of the delivery cost for our time and trouble!Based on my personal experience, I would recommend them without hesitation as of this date. Great customer service, no false advertising, on time delivery and better (the chairs were supposed to take 6-8 weeks and were here in half that time and less.) Very impressive.

Pamela: Customer service is really bad never thought it’s true until I experienced it. We ordered curtains rod online to pick up in store but the color from the one we got it doesn’t look like in the online picture so we called and tried to ask for exchange to different color in same style but Staff put an replacement order with the same color one and not even ask us or confirm us or anything she just said back I put an order it will ship to store. We told her that we didn’t ask you to put the same order but seem like she doesn’t care and said” nothing else she can do because it’s already ordered and can not be canceled we have to call customer service to cancel.”We called customer service but he said nothing else he can do. We have to wait a month when replacement come then we call to cancel and get refund after. This is all the staff fault by putting an order and never ask or confirm with us. Even the manager not even have a word sorry or apologize.

Susan Kim: WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I've been a loyal west elm customer for the past five years. Most recently, I purchased a defective couch and was informed via customer service that I will be getting a refund on the couch. TWO MONTHS later, after numerous email and phone correspondences reassuring me that I will be getting a refund, I was informed that instead of the promised refund, that I would be getting a merchandise credit. I would like to hold west elm accountable for not keeping their promise. I have written evidence of west elm promising me over and over again a refund being issued within 5-7 business days. I would wait the full 5-7 business days and inquire about the refund, and they would cite a reason why the refund was not issued (various issues on their end). TWO MONTHS later, they say that they cannot issue me a refund (AFTER I've already purchased another couch from a different company) and that they will give me merchandise credit. it is incredibly disappointing that this is how they treat their customers. I have heard horror stories before but never thought that this could happen to me. I am a fool to have thought that I would be an exception.

Then I need to order again and pay another delivery cost. The couch scheduled to deliver after 4 months. On the day of delivery. The delivery guy called me and then disappeared. I waited for 4 hours and called customer services. They keep diverting the line to another person. No action. My couch has not delivered and i paid 4000 dollar on it. I don’t suggest anyone ordered fron this furniture store. Bad service.

And we told the associate to change it; we were in the store waiting for the associate to change the address on the phone for about 20 minutes. Then she told us it's good to go. When I got home and received the confirmation email, the address is still wrong; then I called their customer service to make the change, the customer service person said it's all set. About one week later I got the shipping email, the address is still wrong! And I had to call them again which is so annoying!

I came in to look at the Mahjong (which was my least favorite piece) but will be purchasing a different couch once I find a different location. Why people selling expensive things feel it's ok to ignore customers I do not know.
Susanna Leberman: I went in to see the sofa I had been very interested in and the two sales associates never greeted me. Considering the amount of time I spent in the store sitting on the sofa, trying it out…it just felt weird and awkward that they never even acknowledged me. It was disappointing to be wanting to visit an actual store and then to be treated so rudely. Beautiful furniture but underwhelming, uninterested staff.

The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. I spent a whole hour in the store just browsing. Walked away having fallen in love with a living room lamp and an incredible rotating coffee table. Yes -- the furniture is expensive, but design at its zenith is worth every dollar. And honestly, the floor sample pricing makes most everything in there a really great deal. Go with an open mind and remember... quality remains long after the price has been forgotten. You only have to buy it once!

V M: Love this place. I ordered an Alex studio sofa, ottoman, and Margaux side chair. The sofa is the *most* comfortable I have ever sat in. I love all 3 items and will definitely be a repeat customer. MG+BW has so many of choices of fabric. I probably spent 3 hours just looking at fabrics. But, I was never rushed. And I felt welcome here.From the first time I walked in the door and was kindly greeted by David to the day my last item was delivered, it was a good experience. I recommend MG+BW to anyone wanting beautiful, comfortable furniture and a positive shopping experience.

That said, the store is beautiful and the customer service is good in the Boston store, but these local guides haven't bought anyhting in there.

I worked with Christian Heath and I can't say enough about his decorating and people skills. He was there when I needed him, unlike many experiences where you get sales people hovering and pressuring you to make a decision to buy something and telling you how fabulous everything is. Christian was the consummate professional and I ended up buying a sofa, coffee table and rug. This was a big deal since I had been looking for quite a long time for just the correct pieces. MG+BW has come a long way in their designs and their sales approach is impeccable. If you go, ask for Christian. I also must comment on the store manager - Sarah. She too is wonderful and was an immense help as well.

Sadie: The warranty on their furniture is only 2 years. We purchased 2 chairs over 10 year’s ago & the vinyl begin to chip. We were informed that we should be happy the chairs lasted so long… seriously! So if you buy anything from Bo Concept, know that they do not stand by their quality & what you purchase is disposable after 5 years. You can visit your furniture in the landfill or pay for what it would cost to replace to repair it.

My friend and I had never heard of BoConcept before, but we were drawn inside by the elegant forms and high craftsmanship of their products. We were greeted by Tarin, who was very warm and welcoming, and shared with us many details of the company's background and its structure, which excited us as design students. The space is very cozy, and serves as an excellent model of how BoConcept works to elevate any environment. One of my highlights from my afternoon!

Heather Kanser: It has been an absolute pleasure working with Gaya from the Newbury BoConcept store. From just a little input from us (including a floor plan) she was able to design our new living room and dining room all without requiring any commitment from us. It is rare to find someone so helpful and detail oriented that doesn’t put pressure on you. She completed the first pass of the design very quickly (within days) and presented it to us in the store where we could see the objects, materials and design presentation. We had asked her to pull us out of our color comfort zone and she did… she put together a design around a beautiful mustard colored couch. But when she saw our hesitation on going with a bold color (we are your typical grey and neutral boring people even though we want to be bold design people) she went back to designing and offered us a new presentation. This required her to change the colors of all objects. She didn’t mind this at all and prioritized our happiness.We are incredibly analytical people that do not make decisions quickly. Given this, we have gone in the store several times and just sat on the couch for 30+ minutes to make sure it was comfortable. Every worker that we have met in both the Newbury store and the Cambridge store have been incredibly nice and made us feel welcome and comfortable while we were testing the products. We even had our shoes off and were lying down on the couch and one of the owners (Louis) came over and asked us if he could get us some water. Louis as well as all the other employees always offer to help us if we are in the store and Gaya isn’t working. They appear to support one another very well.We hadn’t felt comfortable going ahead with any purchase given our condo is getting built and we wanted to double check the dimensions and see how the color scheme would work. Gaya offered to come with us to do this. She carried two big tote bags of large fabric swatches all while wearing the required construction hat and vest… what a trooper. But she knew this was what we needed to feel comfortable.I would highly recommend working with Gaya as well as the Newbury BoConcept store. She is incredibly hard working and detail oriented while not putting pressure on the customer. Additionally, she repeatedly goes the extra mile either by redesigning or going onsite or putting together the necessary pdfs, screenshots and documents. What more could you ask for? Additionally, the store is beautiful and well designed and Louis is incredibly knowledgeable and supportive of his staff.

qq cc: Very bad and disgusting experience. The sales persons in this place are so rude and unprofessional. An aged sales lady with weird sound said the spoons were commonly used in the western and not in the eastern, so maybe we shouldn't buy them. We feel very offended and not be respected. What do you think we should in the eastern? A fork for the soup? So rude and disgusting! The store should feel shamed to have so unprofessional speech!
Chuck N.: Purchased 2 dressers and 2 end tables. The initial delivery took over 6 months. We rejected both dressers for damage and really bad workmanship. C&B refunded us for the delivery charge. Another 2 dressers were delivered. We rejected 1 of the 2. C&B then charged us again for delivery and we are waiting another month for a 5th dresser to be delivered. We'll see how this goes. The long delivery times, I can understand. Poor quality control and customer service, I don't.
Applicant Inquiry: Beware of their bs return policy on cookware. Basically if you bought and used an item and are unsatisfied of it, you're outta luck. I was told by the manager who according to crate and barrel policy, denied my return - simply because they cannot resell the item if it is used. Ok then, so don't resell it and send it back to the warehouse or something! Or what happens when someone needs to return something for unforeseen reasons but cannot because they already used it? Also, nowhere in the store or website does it indicate you cannot return used items. Of course I had to go outta my way to contact support to have my refund granted to me. Never conducting business with crate n barrel ever again!

Madelyn Wheeler: I placed an online order for curbside pickup at this store for one item. Terrible experience. I followed the website directions for curbside completely. Even gave a 30 minute arrival warning. After parking I pressed “I’ve arrived” and gave my spot number and car description. Nothing happened. It says to call if not attended to after 3 minutes, I waited 10 minutes (trying to be understanding) and called the store. A very rude employee answered and asked if I selected I’ve arrived, I said yes. Then he said someone would come out or I could push the button (whatever that means) and he hung up on me. I waited another 15 minutes. Nothing. Called back and spoke with a woman who was kind and helped me. Finally was given my order after waiting 30 minutes for curbside pickup with my 2 year old in the car. Will not be shopping here again.
E K: This store is very nicely decorated but it is relatively small. If you are looking for kitchen or dining items, it is great. However, it has a very limited number of C&B furnitures.
Nina Evans: This is the worst Crate & Barrel I have ever shopped. Generally I love Crate & Barrel but staffs at this specific location is terrible! Only one cashier was open at 3:00 pm in the afternoon the day before Thanksgiving, and I was charged extra than the actual price on the price tag( it was a regular price item, nothing should be complicated). So I went back to the store, people were lining up at the cashier, and finally when my turn, the guy told me he will be right with me, then he disappeared about 5 minutes, another guy showed up, no greetings, no apologies, checked on the computer, printed out a receipt, handed to me. That's it!!! Yes, he did refund me the extra charge, but the entire shopping experience was totally unpleasant!!!
Lola Lopez: I ordered a gift from a gift registry back in June. The item was on backorder until this past week. My credit was charged multiple times for the same item. I call to request an explanation and was hung up on by multiple individuals. I then call my credit card company and after begging for someone to help me they did. We called together and again were received by multiple unprofessional individuals. The last individual placed us on another hold and disconnected the line. My credit card company was applauded by the lack of information Crate and Barrel provided and the lack of professionalism. I had to lock my credit card to ensure further transactions weren't placed. I strongly encourage you to support any local business before trying your luck with this company.

Kelly Cassano: Janet approached as i entered store and asked what i was looking for. What a great experience, I’ve have trouble finding right stools for cape house and Janet ask a few questions and brought me right over to (picked 1st one she showed me ) an assortment of stools !! She asked all the right question and 15 minutes (had I’m stock ) later they were loaded , assembled into my car. Great experience!! Lots of options and choices. From price you want to spend , fabric, wood , metal , what your using them for. I will go back here. Great sales and customer service here
Barry Ader: Top notch from start to finish. Friendly and knowledgable sales staff was able to guide us to the perfect set of counter stools for our home. Customer service was also excellent when we needed to make an addition. Finally Delivery was on time and courteous. Highly recommend!

Tim Zeising: Fantastic experience. I needed a couple of bar stools for our home bar - I first tried to buy some from Amazon that broke within the first week of putting them together. Realized I needed something with better quality (tip: a metal frame rather than wood screwed together!) and Chair Fair was the only place around that had a large selection of these.They have an incredible selection of bar and counter stools, which they can customize in different ways (fabrics, metal colors, adding armrests, etc), and they encourage you to sit in all of them to find what you like.Equally as important - the people there are fantastic. The owner Barry helped us around, answering questions while NOT being pushy at all. He is a very honest guy. He was upfront about why certain stools cost more. When we were debating between two different styles, one being almost double the price, he gently reminded us that we should only go with the more expensive one if we really like it that much more. We were also debating between how many to get, and he reminded us we could always order the lesser amount first, and then order another after they arrive if we still feel that we need it.I didn't catch the name of the other salesperson but she had the same honesty, was not pushy at all, and even helped us pick out colors that would match our bar. Both great people.If you're looking for bar or counter stools, I highly recommend you take a trip here. I'm confident the quality of the stools is going to far surpass the ones you have to put together yourself, and the service is second to none.

aj drisi: Updating my last review after finally receiving our chairs after a 6 month wait (not custom, standard dining room chairs). We now see they are poor quality, unsanded and rough wood in some spots. And one chair is already loose and creaky. IMO this place is much worse than a big chain store. Poor customer service, ridiculous wait time and average quality.
Heather Fink: I wish i knew about this store earlier, my friend told me about it after I complained about the lack of options in all the furniture stores I went to and time I spent looking online at Wayfair. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and the options are both customizable and competitively priced (our chairs were about $450 each and come with a 10 year warranty). There are about 50 or so stools for you to sit in and test out, and what I appreciated the most is that my salesperson (Jeff) showed me the top 5 best sellers for comfort rather than having to sit in all of them. Sure enough the ones he suggested were by far the most comfortable. My husband loves to cook and I need an island chair that i can sit in to keep him company. Very few stores these days have full back chairs for you to sit in and actually be comfortable.Another thing I appreciated is that when ordering custom, we could get backless stools to match. We needed 3 full back chairs and 2 backless chairs in the same color scheme. If you order on a place like Wayfair, they often sell them in sets of 2.Honestly, it is impossible to buy a chair if you haven't sat in them. Save yourself the hassle of running to a million stores and shop here. I wouldn't say all the chairs have the flashiest designs, but they are built to last and come in any color and metal/wood you could want.Looking forward to our delivery in April. Hoping I will get the same amazing treatment that I did while I was in the store today on delivery. They also have a loaner program if you need something while you wait for your furniture to arrive. Frances Gantley: Great experience at Chair Fair. Great customer service all around. When I purchased the chairs it was explained to me that do to issues beyond their control, it would take 12 weeks to get our stools. At exactly 12 weeks they did come in. I appreciated knowing this upfront and they were 100% correct. I picked up the stools myself and the staff was great loading them in my car. I would definitely recommend Chair Fair for their great staff.
Angie Rubino: This review is a bit overdue. I should’ve definitely written this after the second time my delivery was pushed to a TBD date. See the dining set on the attached photo? My husband and I bought this on December LAST year. Today, over 9 months later, we still have not received it or a concrete timing for when we are going to get it. Their customer service has been horrendous. We have had to call EVERY time to see if they can tell us when we’re getting our furniture. We were supposed to receive it in April, then June, then August. It’s now September and we haven’t heard back. The only way for us to hear an update is if we call and ask for the status of our order. Every time we call they have some excuse. Yes, we know the furniture industry has never seen a supply chain issue of this magnitude before. What I don’t understand is why that would stop this store from being proactive and having the decency to call to explain the delay. How is this acceptable?The customer service is non existent here. My husband called almost a month ago and he was told the owner, Barry, would call us back. He wasn’t available then because he doesn’t work on the weekends. We’re still waiting. This is delay #4!! If we’re not getting our set this month, we will need to get our money back! Needless to say, NO, I won’t buy anything else from this store and I do NOT recommend this store to friends, family or anyone who’s planning on purchasing furniture!

AJ TEST: Terrible. These people are liars with terrible customer service. We ordered chairs March 3, 2022 and now August we have no chairs. No one has updated us, they just take your deposit and leave you hanging. We specifically asked “Are there going to be long delays?” They assured us no delays, 12 maybe 15 weeks and it is now over 20 weeks.Order is under my partner's name. OK how about you look up all customers who have been waiting more than 4 months and give them an update.
