Showa Boston Institute: what do users think?
John Killeen: Great place, professional
lashauna pettway: Spectacular in studies for the children
Carolyn Treacy: Incredibly great teaching strategies have been used by the four different teachers I have studied with. They offer insight into the different cultural situations that influence what language forms should be used. The interaction with the Japanese university students is delightful and a valuable way to test your ability to communicate. This is a challenging language for English speakers to learn. I am bewildered by the negative comments (and agree with all the positive ones). Like any language learning experience, it takes plenty of effort to progress.
Lloyd F: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI joined a class and no one talked for half an hour so i left?????? B I G scam if u ask me.
Maria Eremina: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueGreat school, I've been studying Japanese for 1 year with them (2 semesters) and just signed up for the next one. Teachers are very professional. This school is the best in Boston for Japanese language learners.
Shayna Silva: I enjoyed the evening Japanese classes- they were a nice refresher for me since last studying Japanese years ago in college. They don't formally grade, but our Sensei did assign homework and hold weekly quizzes. It was fun to interact with the Japanese students at the end of every class! I also participated in the Showa Friendship Circle one fall and had a great time with the students. The director of that program is clearly very passionate.
Christina Moscat: I've been involved with Showa Boston in multiple capacities over the past few years. I started coming here for Japanese classes at night to learn some useful words and phrases in preparation for visits to Japan in both 2015 and 2019. I took 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, and 2C with a combination Hattori-sensei and Ikuma sensei. Both teachers were great! As a full-time working professional these classes were well structured to accommodate my busy schedule. They have classes at night for 1.5 hours or so, there aren't any tests or homework, and they bring in actual Japanese university students into class for you to practice with. This made the environment more fun and stress-free, but you learn as fast as you invest time outside of class. I'm still far from being a Japanese speaker, but I have learned a lot and could get around Japan fairly easily with what I learned in class.Another program I have participated in is the Showa Friendship Circle (SFC). It's designed to pair Japanese students (all females since this is a women's university) with Americans to go on outings and practice English during cultural exchanges. It's such a well-run program and really rewarding. Erin takes her job very seriously to keep the students safe and match duos or trios to good people. My husband and I have been paired with 6 pairs of students over the past few years and we've had so much fun comparing Japanese/American culture, practicing Japanese/English, and exploring places new and old a couple of times a month. It's a great program to try for a semester if you want to help some great Japanese students and build community along the way.The campus itself is lovely and there is lots of free parking, which is helpful if you are visiting for class, SFC, or any of the many festivals the University hosts throughout the year. If you like Japan and Japanese culture, want to learn Japanese, or meet Japanese friends, this is a great place to bet involved.
Rose 785: Race statements and assumptions are something you must prepare yourself to experience when engaging with this company.

LSI Boston (English language school): what do users think?
Luig Dias Vaz: The best english school that I had ever been into.
SULAIMAN SALEH:
OjosMedia Luna: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueSchool manager rob is abusive and yelling at everyone. We complain about it
The experience was very good because the teacher had an excellent didactic. What left him wanting, was that the school does not provide any book for students to study at home. They only lend the books during class. It would be interesting if at least they had some material of their own that would facilitate the students' learning mainly in the homeworks.

Thank you, LSI, because I could make my dream come true. Now I feel a deep sadness because it’s time to wake up to the real life, but I’m sure that if you decide to come to LSI, you won’t regret it.

Boston School of English: what do users think?
Ana Maria Betancourt: Critical:ProfessionalismA very unprofessional school. They didn´t know how to solve the issue of giving me classes during the pandemic. So they sent me to another school with a education of bad quality. When I asked for a refund they denied to give me my money back. I will never recomend this experience to anybody else.
annika. e: I can really recommend this school. Having spent 2 months here made me a) improve my English, especially my speaking and b) making many new friends from all over the world! The classes are pretty small what helped me a lot. The teachers adapt their teaching to their students and make it possible for you to improve your English as much as possible. Thank u:)
Fernando Lombera: I really recommend the Boston School of English, I was there for only 1 week and I love. Good teachers and a very nice environment. 100% recommended.
Valeria Alfaro: It's the best school to improve your English, with excellent teachers and good quality of classes. It's also the perfect place to make friends from all over the world. All the teachers and staff have been amazing. I would definitely love to come back, 100% recommended!
Hugo Cortes Celaya: This school is amazing , is the better school for learning English, the teachers are nice and explain very well, they are very patients. I recommend this school for learning English.
Sebastian Alvarez: I really loved this place, It helped my a lot with my English. I improved my vocabulary pronunciation, grammar and listening even though I have been studying this language for three years. The teachers are fun and the environment is really good, even if you don’t know any English.
valeria rua: I'm going to start with the good comments that are much more than the bad ones. Although I had a really bad experience with the enrollment I want to say everything else was remarkable in a positive way. To talk about the good things, the teachers are awsome, the staff is very helpful and I enjoyed my classes a lot. Rooms are comfortable, the book is a good material and they also give you extra activities during the classes. I'm so thankful with: Dan, David and Nick, between a lot of teachers I have had throughout my life I would say you guys have been the best, their classes are not only educational but also fun and funny!! I assure you: you are gonna learn so much, laugh and have fun. They make sure to create a class environment where you feel comfortable to talk and express yourself, they clarify all your doubts even if they are not related with their classes and they are also great people. PD: if you are with David he is so creative and have different games to play during class, they are AWSOME!Not to talk about my bad experience: if you are an student looking for learning basic/intermediate English you are gonna be fine and I don't have anything to advise you, BUT if you are looking for a higher level than the average BE CAREFUL AND MAKE SURE TO ASK EVERYTHING BEFORE you start because their enrollment process is full of flaws and you could have an unpleasant experience as I did. This is what happened: when I was looking for a school I clarified to the seller that I was looking for a "medium/advance English course" in order to improve my English and apply to college here, he told me it was totally fine because they were gonna test me and according to my score they would place me in a class (everything cool so far). However, after taking the test and during the very beginning of my first class (the class they had placed me "according to my test") I realized the English they were teaching was a really basic English so I decided to stop writing in the book and during the break I went to talk to the staff expressing my concern about I had maybe been placed in the wrong level, to make a long story short they told me "your level of English is so high and we don't have any course right now for you" which you can imagine confused me more and made me a little bit angry too because nobody asked me if I was OK with being place in a level about 3 LEVELS BELOW my real level. After that I talked to Liliana (the manager) who made me feel disrespect and not supported for the school at all, they wanted me whether to pay for the book that I used for 1 hour (without knowing was not my book, how coul I have known?) and continue in my right level some weeks later or giving me a refund of 100% and I could leave the school without any problem, I disagreed and tried to make Liliana see how that didn't make sense, I mean: the school was willing to loose all the money I had already paid + the money for the whole book but they didn't want to accept the book back and let me continue in the right level couple weeks after that.I went to my house that day pretty disappointed and angry but I realized that at that point I was out of time to look for another school so I went back the next day and talked again to Liliana with my best face even when I kept thinking she was not making the smartest decision and feelings so disappointed as a costumer, we had a talk and agreed the school was gonna pay for the half of the book and I would pay the other half (which I am still thinking makes no sense) and I'm glad I did stay to study there because I had a really good time after all. I also wanna highlight that NICK WAS ALWAYS SO RESPECTFUL, HELPFUL AND NICE but it was not his decision, otherwise I'm sure he would have taken other path.In conclusion it's a good school but they should work more in the way they respond to those "atypical situations" because that could make their clients to have a really unpleasant process when they shouldn't.
Gabriela Monteiro: My experience here was very nice, because i improve my English and I met a lot of people from around the world.
Jusny Mackenson Louis-Jean: Just passed my TOEFL test there and I can say the employees are very professional and respectful. Personally, I am in love with the building, it is well preserved for a school that is dated from 1926.
Gabriela Ferreira: I really love this school! I wish I could spend more time there. Amazing teachers, amazing students from differents countries, amazing experience. Missing them.
Terry Lopez: It's a really good school to learn English, I am so grateful because I feel like I improved my english skills a lot.
Liz Ortiz Ruiz: It's a great school to learn English, I really enjoyed my time here, I'll miss talking classes here!
Adi Iore: Amazing school and great teachers!
Chef Alex: The school has an educational program that is great, the teachers and the office staff is awesome. I liked the mixture of cultures, different opinions the different people. I feel at home.
