Daniel Matsunaga: They canceled my order last minute.Two days before our event on easter.
Coach EricaLee: I hired BAR for their cold sparks services for my daughters sweet 16 party! The gentleman who showed up was friendly, professional and he set everything up perfectly! Unfortunately, I had a huge issue with the man at the venue and he was extremely rude to the BAR employee. He sent him away and we didn’t get to use the cold sparks. The BAR. Company was so understanding and they even reimbursed me most of my money due to not being able to use the sparks even though it wasn’t their fault. I would also like to note that the venue guy screamed at the BAR gentleman while he was setting up the equipment and the gentleman handled it so well and was so professional the entire time. He even went above and beyond to try to explain to the extremely rude venue employee that the cold sparks were safe and thoroughly inspected. I would rate this place a 10 if I could! Highly recommended!

CD Wedding 2022: We used Boston Audio Rentals to deliver and install a Pipe & Drape for our November 2022 wedding. Despite assuring us that they had been to our venue “many times” and would be able to provide the Pipe & Drape, they failed to properly set up the Pipe & Drape as agreed and have since failed to respond to our request to discuss the issues following the wedding (other than one email suggesting that the problems with the setup were somehow our fault). We had a terrible experience with this company and would strongly recommend not using them.Prior to our wedding we told Boston Audio Rentals that we needed the Pipe & Drape to hide the tables which would be preset prior to our ceremony. We gave them the required setup and a picture from our venue from another wedding with our desired setup months in advance (see attached), and they received a diagram from our venue. Based on this information Boston Audio Rentals told us how many sections of Pipe & Drape we needed.On the day of the wedding their employee showed up and had no knowledge of the setup we required and had to dig through his emails to find the diagram. Once he set it up, he called the groom (point of contact) and explained that he did not have enough sections to complete the desired setup (that Boston Audio Rentals had agreed to months prior) and that he was too far from their office to obtain more sections. As you can see from the picture attached, the setup does not conceal the back of the room at all and further the sheets were also sheer which both obviously completely undermine the entire point of the Pipe & Drape in concealing the tables.We expressed our dissatisfaction during the day of the wedding, and only after involving our venue coordinator was she able to reconstruct the sections in such a way that at least the back of the venue was somewhat obstructed, but far from the agreed setup that we had paid $1000 for (plus a premature tip that was given upon the employee’s arrival).We have since reached out to the company who has been almost entirely unresponsive and now suggests the problems were our fault. This experience was extremely upsetting on our wedding day. We also wanted to note that we had no other complaints about any other vendors from our wedding other than Boston Audio Rentals. We would strongly recommend avoiding this company not only for the bad outcome, but also their extremely disappointing customer service and lack of care in their final product.
Kayla Specht: BAR exceeding our expectations in all aspects. We called them last minute 3 weeks before an event in December needing A/V rental equipment for a conference meeting. For a company of 150 people for an all-hands meeting we needed a good solution pretty quickly. Not only did they answer us (a human responded immediately) on a Sunday, but they also provided prompt, professional service. I will be using BAR for any future A/V needs. Gillian Freed: I hire Boston Audio Rentals for my wedding in September, 2022.They had the best prices in the area and were very easy to plan with, but when the day came, they were an hour and a half late. Several of my guests had to help set up the equipment so that the ceremony could happen when it was supposed to.I rented a mic from them for the ceremony and the speeches and it seemed to be a directional mic (or was on that setting), which is NOT good for talking. A couple of the people making speeches decided to not use it because it was so unreliable.Overall, not ideal, but the celebration happened anyway.

Unfortunately the cold sparklers never went off but the company was quick to refund us after I brought It up. The photobooth was a hit with the guests and the employee followed up by giving us printouts of every picture taken. The only other frustration with the company is the communication as I often felt I was chasing them more than I should be. Would probably use them again if they improve their communication

She understood our taste and helped put together everything from glassware, linens, flatware, table and chairs for our wedding. We wanted a design that is understated and elegant to compliment the venue, Calderwood Courtyard within Harvard Art Museum.They worked with the venue team to set up everything within a very tight schedule and created an incredibly elegant reception.

Diane Santos: It was a pleasure working with Rich to schedule a work holiday get together after the New Year for Amherst College. We booked Casino tables and a DJ and our guest had a great time. The dealers were a lot of fun and did a great job of teaching our guests how to play! I would highly recommend them! We had a great time!

On the day of the event the staff was right on time for delivery (actually a bit early which I was happy to see). The dealers were all super friendly and personable. Many of our guests have never played casino games so the dealers took time to teach them to play.If you’re looking for a fantastic company to provide high quality entertainment for your event, total entertainment is the perfect choice!

In past years we had to use multiple vendors (food, games, rides, etc) but Total Entertainment provided everything we needed at really reasonable prices. David Sena: We had a great experience with Total Entertainment to put on an all-night "lock-in" party at Belmont High School in June 2022. Total Entertainment offered the best value of all the companies we contacted. They were able to accommodate all our needs at relatively short notice and helped us to work within a limited budget. Rich Kraby, the owner, was particularly patient and flexible with the many changes to the contract we requested as our event planning developed. The company worked within our tight windows for delivery and pick-up. Set-up and disassembly went smoothly as well. Equipment was in good condition, and everything functioned as intended. The personnel they provided (tattoo artists, photo booth attendant, mechanical bull operator, hypnotist, etc.) were excellent: professional, friendly, and nice to work with. We were very happy with the experience and would recommend to anyone looking to streamline event planning and work within a budget.

They operate with 1 business objective, making a dollar and falling back on the contract! Customer service and empathy are not part of that business model!!Back story? Absolutely! My Fiancee and I had a date set of June 11th of this year, and Mr. Omari Hayles of “Disc Jockey Boston” was set to DJ the event. Needless to say that was railroaded by Covid-19.When my Fiancee and I, realized that it was coming down to the wire and no progress had been made regarding Covid and every day life, we made the extremely difficult decision to postpone the event.As we started to reach out to Friends, Family & Vendors to break the news. Friends and Family expressed their deepest sympathies, while vendors either refunded deposits or rescheduled with us.However, Mr. Omari Hayles of Disc Jockey Boston not only refused to refund our deposit but refused to reschedule to next June. Stating that a contract is a contract, and if We wanted to put our deposit towards another event it had to be before 3/31/21 as referenced in the contract.I find this to be completely unsympathetic, and the fact that they even named the company “Disc Jockey Boston” appalling. That is not what BOSTON stands for.So if you choose to do business with this company for your event, Just understand that the contract is IRON CLAD...NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS!!!

Amy Corcoran: If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Curtis was the most amazing JP at our wedding. He was extremely professional, engaging and super funny. My guests couldn’t say enough about how amazing he was which made me extremely happy. If you are in need of a JP you have got to hire Curtis. We also had Mark as our DJ who was just as amazing. All my guests had an amazing time dancing the night away. From the introduction to the last dance we couldn’t have asked for a better DJ.
