Helen: I've been here twice since my cancer diagnosis three years ago. The first time was with Andres, the second time was with Nicole, who was fabulous but is no longer there.I had a stressful week with the passing of my sister and needed a massage so I booked online and left work early only to be rudely told by Andres that I would not be getting a massage because I had cancer (again, three years ago) and he didn't have special "Oncology massage" training. (He didn't seem to mind the first time I came in.)I've worked in Oncology for 30 years and have never heard such rubbish. I've had several massages since my diagnosis. Andres cited the website of a local cancer center. Well, guess where I work!There is nothing on the JP Massage website stating this "policy" or I wouldn't have bothered booking.I've since spoken to several massage therapists who seem to think this is crazy. If anything, massage is good for cancer patients and there is no special training necessary.Had Andres displayed a modicum of tact or compassion or even offered a solution, this review would have received two stars.

Kevin Corsini: The owner has horrible customer service. Booked a massage yesterday for today and when I showed up the owner had given my appointment away. The owner tried telling me they had been calling me for several days to confirm my appointment which is impossible because I booked the appointment yesterday. He never apologized once, was very condescending and continued to gaslight me to make it seem like it was my fault.

First, they advertise a first time client 90 minute session for 70 dollars but when I was ready to pay, they charged me 120! In addition, I did not have the full 90 minutes. Please do not go here as they will trick you and overcharge you.

He was great at receiving and integrating feedback throughout, I felt safe and comfortable and received a massage well worth the money. I left feeling lighter and loosey as all goosey, I was basically a pile of ramen noodles the rest of the day. We spoke during the massage which I wasn't sure about at first, but the conversation quickly turned into warm butter melting into the experience as we spoke about the growth we've both done during the pandemic, how we've come to see the world and our roles in it, fear, love, memories, meditation, growing up. I paid for a deep tissue massage and ended up receiving a massage on my mind, body, and soul. I also know if I had also asked for silence he would have abided. Emily Cardoza: I highly recommend this place. Super clean and relaxing atmosphere. Great location. The massage therapist, Jon, did a great job and was very professional. My only problem is they cut off the massage pretty abruptly at the end of time. It felt like being woken up in the middle of a nice nap (I wasn’t napping I promise lol). I’d rather have had them wrap up whatever part of the massage they were at and then call it time, even if that meant ending a few minutes early. I’ve seen people complain in other comments about ending early though, so I can see why it was like that.

However, she seemed very rough and it did not feel like she was trained, she kind of just did what felt right. I was not able to relax at all during the massage. My entire back is very sore and stiff today which is the opposite of what a massage should achieve. I could not sleep at all last night because my back was hurting so much after the massage. It is affordable, which is why I decided to give it a try despite multiple bad reviews. Moreover, they forced me to tip $10 atleast although the amount you tip is a personal choice and based on my experience I thought $5 was more than generous. Safe to say I will not be going back.Edit: I had given this place 2 stars but now I am reducing it to 1 star because my body is so sore as well as my head. The head massage has lead to a severe headache and I have been feeling sick all day because of this massage

They also kept the door open and it was very loud and not relaxing at all. Did not have a good experience at all. Not a coincidence. I did not reply to that e-mail, therefore to have them say I declined is simply not true. A majority of businesses may require a credit card upon making the reservation, but would not process it until after the services rendered, or would use it if a cancellation is within a short window. This business clearly does not trust their customers and that is a huge red flag. Others who may have been a no-show very likely had a valid reason. Again, please proceed with caution. Their small team is severely lacking in business common sense and customer service acumen, not to mention their subpar skills, as shared by numerous clients. They are not savvy business leaders, but a poorly run team that needs basic training in respect and wellness. I am happy to take my business elsewhere (scheduled already) and I urge others to do the same. When I told Maria G. that I would rather pay after receiving the spa treatments, with a generous tip, she showed no flexibility and even less warmth. Upon looking deeper into reviews and feedback for this place, I am glad I did not ultimately come here, as business practices seem extremely shady, unprofessional, and honestly questionable. They also never pick up the phone and have an apparent reputation for being impolite to clients and falling short of their expectations. Please use caution.

(I get massages often and have had many) I got the medical massage with CBD oil, and while it was definitely an intense massage, it felt amazing and my back feels better than it has in a long time. Also sometimes after deep tissue/intense massages I tend to feel like someone beat me with a baseball bat and very sore, but after this one I just feel loose and relaxed and the pain is gone. Couldn’t recommend it enough and I will definitely be back! worth every penny

She made and accommodate to my liking, attentive to small details such as making sure the pressure on my body, temperature of the room, temperature of the massage oil, & the music. I like it my massages to really get in there and my massage person, Vivian, was the best I've ever had! She made sure I was comfortable with everything and always checked in to make sure I could handle the pressure.She listened when I said I recently recovered from an injury and made sure to adjust for that area. She gave me tips for some other things she was noticing. She could tell which different parts were the tightest. I asked her to focus on my lower back, which she did, but there were other areas that I knew were tight/probably had issues and she could tell without me having to say anything. I'm most certainly going back!

I was a bit wary at first (as I always am with a place I find off the street), so my daughter and I chose to just get a manicure for her and a pedicure for me. They were so great—very professional and polite and took great care with their work. I had Ping, and she was just lovely! I walked back to the hotel with happy feet!Since I was now reassured as to their professionalism, I also booked a massage for two days later. Vivian is amazing! She has years of experience, and she found every knot in my back and legs. The deep tissue was definitely deep (ouch- but she did back off when I asked)-- but when I woke the next morning, I realized that I had slept better and was feeling better as a result of her good work!I am already making plans to go back. RelaxSation (despite the name that pains me as an English teacher, lol) is a definite destination! Highly Recommend!

I have had so many bad experiences with nail techs in the past rushing through the work and causing injury to my nail beds. Not here! I'm very happy with the service I received and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I was going to give $30 but she asked me (very unprofessional) so I gave her $10 and she said no they usually tip 10-15% so I gave her an additional $5. I did not like that I wanted to book again but now feel uncomfortable going back. I tipped the manicure lady well, she didn’t ask and did a really good job.

Intensive is a great descriptor, my body was beat by Tuesday night but my brain was full and I feel more and more confident in my skills each time I go through the routine. Tania Fabo: This review is based on the experience of my sister who had an absolutely horrible experience. They treat black people especially poorly over here. Manager is quite rude and definitely needs to practice his customer service skills. Front desk employee needs to stop stereotyping black women (look at the racist response they wrote below to her review, stereotyping her as yelling and aggressive when she was in fact speaking very calmly). All she wanted was a massage and instead she got treated like she was nothing.

These people did not communicate their policies to us at all, and turned us away when we came when they said we could come. BUT mind you still charged us $320 for a service we never received. Manager of the locations was incredibly rude and walked away from us midsentence as we tried to explain our situation . Then quite literally told us to quiet down as we asked if we could sit down and speak to him. Please listen to me bc I would give 0 stars if I could. Also incredibly racist treatment.

That massage made me feel better than all the visits to the chiro. I've never been a huge chiro adjustment believer anyway, this massage was Exactly what I needed. Tania Harsono: I had a 90 min Thai massage with Jeff, he did a great job! All my muscles were sore + tender from climbing and the pressure/ stretches/ adjustments he did were expertly applied. Receptionist was friendly, she offered tea & water, and gave me my intake form (which Jeff read very carefully and asked me specific questions about before we got started). Pricey but not out of line with other Back Bay spas.

Caroline Howerton: What a joke. I booked a massage there at 7pm (was in town for work). I arrived early as instructed (around 6:50). Barely greeted by the receptionist (who clearly didnt know how to set the mood for a spa experience), i then waited as my therapist was running late. At 7:15 she finally came out and I went into the therapy room, but I had to wait some more on the table.She gave me every impression that I was disturbing her and didnt care at all about my experience (talked loud, complained about her day, didnt ask me the usual pre massage chit chat…)THEN (wait for it) as I was face down on the massage table, i heard her say casually “oh by the way im gonna be using gloves today because i cut my finger cutting vegetables”I mean sure that sounds painful and I felt sorry but massage with platic gloves, really?! Especially without giving me any options - they should have given me a heads up upfront, as well as offer a discount.As I was already there, it proceeded, and I had the massage with her wearing plastic gloves, which obviously wasnt great. I asked her if it was painful and if she was ok and she said it was totally fine and she didnt feel the cut at all…They did extend the slot to make up for the delay (I came out about 8:10) but I was asked to pay full price…Anyhow - the lack of expectations management was obvious, the massage was mediocre, but above all, the style, vibe and delivery from the employees were really not that of a spa in my opinion. I will definitely NOT be coming back.

He asked for %25 tip which means more than $50! I payed for tip $26 and the guy was not satisfied and not welcoming. Also, I asked for a receipt and he said we don’t give a receipt for a cash payer!!! (He gave it to me after I insisted) Will never come back again.

It smelled great, all the staff were nice, everything was clean, and the massage/masseuse were fantastic.Had to knock two while stars for pricing, one for not advertising it and the other for it being obscenely high. Costs can't be found online and I'm still in shock by the $172 I had to pay for a 90 minute session, BEFORE the tip and AFTER a 20% new customer discount. That's $50 more than other places around here and something I'd have checked had I been less trusting or less in need of the therapy while on travel.I'd love to say I'll be back but there's no way.

May: Sheets seemed to have some makeup on them, massage therapist was late to my appointment. All that is fine given the massage was okay in itself, but the person at the front (manager?) applied a bigger tip to my receipt than I said, then tried to argue with me about the tip amount.

Esther: massage was good, but like other reviews say, double check what they charge you. they give you 20% off your first massage, and I tipped 20% off of the amount that they charged me (which was 20% off the price!). looked at the charge a day later and saw that they charged me 20% of the original? shady given the fact that the massage is pricey (around $200) already

Hannah Mrozak: I had purchased a gift certificate for my daughter for Christmas and I was ensured that she would be able to use the 20% off that was been offered at that time that I purchased the gift certificate. When she went in for her massage she was told that because she had been there before they would not honor the 20%. When I called and spoke with the manager he would not take care of the situation I explained that I was told by an employee that they would get the 20%. Very poor communication and customer service would not recommend!

Stephanie: This place is excellent when it comes to massage - the masseuses are very attentive and thorough! They really focus on the areas in which you ask them too. The massage experience is a 10/10.The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because they don’t have very much transparency in their pricing. When you’re paying such a high price there should be 100% upfront transparency in the cost. There was a discrepancy in the price I was asked to pay and what was stated on their sheet. It took some time to eventually get the issue resolved but these sort of things should be very clear from the beginning at such a high end establishment.
