S R: This Leica store offered a photography walking tour, with the opportunity to borrow a Leica camera (given you provide passport, credit card and bring a SD card). The event was posted on eventbrite, and sounded amazing. However, when we arrived on site, they said they wouldn't give out cameras (something about not receiving the cameras, and that the store won't give out their own cameras). The staff didn't apologize and in the end we left. Quite a disappointing experience, so check this before you book any tours here!
Brian Garhammer: What a great store!Every time I’m in Boston, I have to stop by the Leica Store. The store boasts new and used equipment (for a fair price). If you are at all interested in photography , this needs to be a stop in for you, even just to see what “can” be. There is also a gallery in the store.

M. Mazz: I was always too intimated to go into the Leica store because I’m a camera enthusiast at best and Leica owners can be somewhat elitist and condescending. However, my experience in this store couldn’t have been any better. The staff there was awesome. Extremely helpful and welcoming. Leica camera are well out of my price range but they do carry some film stock and also they pointed me in the direction of some great places to get film developed close by.

Jenae Lien: Impressive Leica store and Gallery space. Located on such a hot corner spot in town.I am a huge advocator of the Leica brand, and this store is a must see if you are a Leica fan. They have an excellent selection of cameras available, from classics to the latest and new releases. I love their display section and how they showcase what glass looks like before it turns into a beautiful piece of the lens.Their gallery is supremely run and curated. Highly recommend you leave your email and get on their list for announcements like when the next gallery exhibits. They feature only the best of the best photographers in the game.Their staff are extremely knowledgeable, it’s so fun to pick their brain about cameras and photography.

Stacey Quandt: I am so glad I stopped here to get a passport photo just hours before my in-person appointment at the passport agency. The photographer at Hunts graciously took three photos and I selected the best one to be printed. The entire process took less than 30 minutes.
Amy Hao: I needed a passport photo taken and decided to try and support a smaller chain like Hunt’s. I went in on a Sunday, 15 minutes before closing. The store was very busy but there were about 5 customers behind me in line. I waited for 15 minutes while they were serving two other customers. When I got to the front of the line, I was told that they were closed and to come back tomorrow. While I normally would be very understanding of this, they proceeded to service customers in line behind me, presumably because they would be buying bigger ticket items instead of an inexpensive passport photo. This felt unfair to me - if you’re going to close shop, close shop, but don’t selectively service people. I went down the street to CVS and they did a fine job. I can’t comment on their other services or products but I’m not inclined to return.
Yaseen Islam: I wish i could rate this place higher because the people working here are wonderful. However, the main location that they send their film to for development is my main concern. There are light leaks on the majority of every roll i submitted for developing and scanning, and there really should not be any excuse for that as when developing for myself with my cameras i never get any leaks. Now suddenly with Hunt's i'm seeing major leaks on every roll. Not coming back for this service, and i recommend everyone to go elsewhere.

She was super helpful, knew a ton about the merchandize, opened a new boxed Sony camera to show me the body of the camera, helped with the best lense for my purposed( I shoot weddings). Overall the atmosphere in the store and the customer service was great, so glad to have this store in my neighborhood. Definetely will be back again soon! :)

William Menchaca: Color film is simply too expensive and takes too long to get processed and delivered. One roll of 35mm E6 process film should not take 3 weeks to scan and process. Also that same roll costs roughly $50 to buy and have processed and scanned. Hunts gives pretty good results, which is why they get 3 stars. But the service is slow, pricey, and inconsistent. If you want to develop and scan black and white, my suggestion, do it at home. Color is unfortunately much more difficult to do at home.

When I asked if I could have the original photo emailed to me I was told they charge $10.00 for emails. Next time I will go to CVS for my Passport photo.

This is a task that takes time. The men noticed the date and took it upon them selves to get it done that day for me. N L (Photo & Phood Guy): I went into Stone with a large order and was impressed with David who helped me. He wanted to meet all my needs and, seeing that it was a large order, agreed that we would tally the bill as we go and he would give me a discount at the end which encouraged me to bring in everything I needed done. I had different color frames needed and it took awhile to get them in, which was fine, and I paid deposits along the way. Nobody ever bothered to mention to me that one of the colors was a different size frame than the others, but I took that in stride, although it does stand out on the wall and I will probably redo it. A big disappointment came on a Friday when I received a call that photos I wanted for the weekend were ready for pickup and said to come by before 6pm closing. I was very excited and got there from outside town by 5:45 only to find the door locked. I knocked, called and left a message, but to no avail. I thought the following Monday (they are closed on weekends) I would receive a call of explanation or apology, but heard nothing. When I went in for the pictures and asked what happened, I was told the manager had closed early and the person was not sure why. Nothing more.In the end, all the work was fine, but there was nothing I was wowed by. When it came time to settle the bill, the order total was over $5,000. When I asked David about the large order discount, he informed me that the manager had overruled it and that no discount would be forthcoming. No explanation was given. Needless to say, I will not be doing anymore business at Stone. If you do need to use them, get everything in writing and check the work as it progresses.
Jenilee Pudas: Stone Framers went above and beyond today. I had a tricky project involving a custom frame where the pieces had to be ordered beforehand, the matting had to be signed this afternoon, and the assembled frame had to be completed before the store closed the same day. They walked me through the process and delivered a beautiful piece on a tight time frame (pun intended) without any issues.
CJ Meckbach: Definitely come here for your framing and printing needs!! Stone Photo does brilliant work in record time, and will even kindly brainstorm with you to find creative ways to display your items. Our company couldn't have managed putting on huge art showcases without their service -- nearly 350-400 pieces were framed each year, and they never failed to diligently work with us and learn what we were looking for. Thank you Doug, Dave and Kate for all of your patience and help!! Highly recommend.
