FIRST FLOOR: Men & Women sneakers. SECOND FLOOR: womens heels, boots & Clarence section. If the escalator going down to first floor isn’t working. There is an elevator & stairs to lead you back down. I ordered a pair of boots online for pickup at this location for the first time and wanted to ask a few questions regarding the pickup. I made three different phone calls. The first one was put on hold forever (10 mins+) and never heard back. The next two calls got picked up and hung up immediately without saying anything. This is super rude. I totally understand that they are busy. They can just leave ignore the calls in the first place. So, I didn't have to wait for them.Anyhow, due to its prime location, I will probably shop here again.

I wanted to exchange - not return - and was still denied. This is the first time I bought shoes from a retail store in years. I mostly buy online but wanted to support the local economy. It’s too bad stores adopt these antiquated policies when online shops are much easier for returns. I will not shop at a physical Clarke’s again. Much easier to get it through Zappos and not have some sales lady give you a hard time when you want to upgrade your boots.

scott rennicks: I’m happy with my purchase of on cloud shoes. They would not help me after I showed them a defect in the shoe. I wore them 5 blocks and they said they could not do anything. But if you call on cloud they try to take care of you. I did not want a refund just an exchange. This store will probably not last long with this poor level of customer service. I went in specifically to support small businesses but it’s back to online shopping for me.

I've done some research on the brand and I was very interested. I tried a couple of sizes. They have a nice selection in the store.I purchased a pair and when I got home I wore them around the house again. They were just a little too snug after all.I called them and spoke with a nice lady at Trend. I asked to exchange for one size up and they said no problem. I sent in my boots and copy of my receipt. They promptly sent the requested size and I'm happy! Yes it cost me a little shipping but that's on me.Good customer service, good communication and tracking number. Nicely done.I love the boots.

I live out of state so the only way I’d be able to get an answer is drive 3.5 hours. Love the boots but I would not purchase from this store as they lack customer service support.
Dr. Goosen: You can't return unused items that you purchased from the physical store for a full refund, even though you can do it when you order from them online.
Arkadiy Kuvaev (BaKKo): Made an appointment 4 weeks ahead, provided my insurance information and filled a bunch of paperwork. 1 (one!) day before the appointment I get a text to tell me that my insurance is not supported, even though the website says they accept most insurance plans, and even mention Aetna by name. Most places verify your insurance the moment you make the appointment, and not 24 hours before visit.

I was visiting from Chicago and purchased a pair of On running shoes and was super excited to try them out since everyone I know says they are super comfortable. I wore them once and got huge blisters on my heels but didn't want to give up on the shoes so I wore them a few weeks later with different socks and it was even more painful. The store doesn't offer refunds so I called and explained my situation, expressed disappointment with the shoes and even offered to pay for the shipping back to them. Absolutely no leniency on the policy and no other suggestions to make a customer happy. I've worked in retail almost 20 years and would never work with a client like this.

On Newbury, the salesman had an attitude like my questions were inconveniencing him and when I asked if they could order an out-of-stock model so I could try it on before buying his answer was "I wish." At State Street Eva answered the same question "of course" and beyond that she was totally helpful and accommodating. I ended up making my purchase at State Street and I will be shopping there from now on rather than Newbury Street.

They always go the extra mile to make sure I am pleased with what I purchased before and after the sale.When I have quality problems (although very few) they never challenge the issue or make excuses. They provide the right solution quickly. You don't get this from the big retailers.I come back because they make it hard not too.

Emma Moore: Was shopping here at the downtown crossing location for my father and the staff was amazing!! Very helpful. Only bad experience I had was the heat. They had no ac and I couldn’t bare to stay inside the store. When I asked the employees if their air was working they informed me it was broken. Definitely not fair for those employees in this heat! It’s 95 outside and it was like 112 inside their store. Ridiculous. Thank you to the staff for being accommodating but I don’t think till their air is fixed.

David McCarthy: Buyer beware. I was told that I had put too much wear on a pair of shoes for them to sell just doing a handful of laps around the store in them. Given the fact that the same employee had told me to get 2 sizes and return the pair that didn't fit as well, I'd be surprised if they would have taken the other pair back. Slimy character.
Alex Lennox-Miller: Absolutely fantastic source of shoes, socks, accessories, and mens wear. Knowledgeable, friendly staff who are more interested in finding the right match, fit, or look for you than they are in padding out the bill, which is a rarity in this kind of store. The building is currently under construction (Winter 2019), but they are very much open.

Every one I had spoken to either hung up on me or never transferred the call. Once I finally got a hold of someone, they seemed reluctant to even check and see if the item i wanted was in stock. After telling me what was in stock, they abruptly said ‘bye bye’ and hung up with out any thing else being said.

Sabej Tahan: This isn’t the first time i’ve had a bad experience here, first was the Chanel Beauty inside the Saks store, I went to see what foundation I wanted but I wanted to try a sample of it to make sure it’s my shade but the lady said they couldn’t do samples so i bought the shade she colour matched me. Tried it at home, it wasn’t my colour so I went back to return it and it was the same lady that sold me the foundation, she seemed very upset and just grabbed the receipt out of my hand and then just shooed me away, Now the second time I went to buy a twilly at the Dior store, was greeted nicely but once i went back to return it they told me to go away and couldn’t return it because it was “used” even though the sales associate wrapped it in around my bag. Don’t know but I think this store is very racist because i kept getting looks up and down and judged because i was struggling with my english pronunciation. Very disappointed. Won’t ever be coming in again
Nhung Nguyen: Do not recommend this department store! Terrible service! I bought a bottle of perfume and got it shipped to my house in NH. The associate claimed it would take 3-5 days to recieve and even 6 days later, I heard nothing from thr store regard my order. Sak’s online system does not connect to the store purchase which I could not track my order because there is no order number on the store receipt! Too much complications to chase cat tails, manager to manager that we have called 3 time and no one resposible for my order, even the lady on fragrance section who sold it to me shave it off. I was really upset. The assc also forced me to open a credit card to receive 10% off instea of just sign up for my email online.

Franty Cleophat: DON’T order online. You will Never get your item. I ordered from them on December 27th and delivery date expected on January 3rd. Shipping label created on December 28th for next day delivery. Now January 6, and you guessed it right; i never received my order. Mind you it was supposed to be a gift. I ended up putting a claimed for my money and now I have to wait 10 days for my refund. For a big company like this, they need to revisit their service because they have none. You can get better service from Dots then them. Don’t waste your time and money shopping there. Horrible experience.

Yimeng Wang: purchased a YSL Nikki from Saks last year and found out that the YSL head quarter weren't able to authenticate that, resulting in me not able to receive any warranty or other after service. This is very bad and disappointing plus surprising situation, but Saks continue to refuse to provide ANY solution, not a refund, nothing. They just kept telling me they are authorized retailer regardless my email from YSL saying they were not able to authenticate that. Makes me question the quality of all other items they sell.

Went in Johnston & Murphy in terminal b and was treated with the absolute best customer service ever. The 2 ladies took care of me, helping me find what I needed for this trip. Just getting some great vibes from them. Left the store with new shoes, couple shirts and added bonus on some great belts they had. Truly recommend checking this store out. Definitely going there anytime I forget something .
