Boston School of English: what do users think?
Ana Maria Betancourt: Critical:ProfessionalismA very unprofessional school. They didn´t know how to solve the issue of giving me classes during the pandemic. So they sent me to another school with a education of bad quality. When I asked for a refund they denied to give me my money back. I will never recomend this experience to anybody else.
annika. e: I can really recommend this school. Having spent 2 months here made me a) improve my English, especially my speaking and b) making many new friends from all over the world! The classes are pretty small what helped me a lot. The teachers adapt their teaching to their students and make it possible for you to improve your English as much as possible. Thank u:)
Fernando Lombera: I really recommend the Boston School of English, I was there for only 1 week and I love. Good teachers and a very nice environment. 100% recommended.
Valeria Alfaro: It's the best school to improve your English, with excellent teachers and good quality of classes. It's also the perfect place to make friends from all over the world. All the teachers and staff have been amazing. I would definitely love to come back, 100% recommended!
Hugo Cortes Celaya: This school is amazing , is the better school for learning English, the teachers are nice and explain very well, they are very patients. I recommend this school for learning English.
Sebastian Alvarez: I really loved this place, It helped my a lot with my English. I improved my vocabulary pronunciation, grammar and listening even though I have been studying this language for three years. The teachers are fun and the environment is really good, even if you don’t know any English.
valeria rua: I'm going to start with the good comments that are much more than the bad ones. Although I had a really bad experience with the enrollment I want to say everything else was remarkable in a positive way. To talk about the good things, the teachers are awsome, the staff is very helpful and I enjoyed my classes a lot. Rooms are comfortable, the book is a good material and they also give you extra activities during the classes. I'm so thankful with: Dan, David and Nick, between a lot of teachers I have had throughout my life I would say you guys have been the best, their classes are not only educational but also fun and funny!! I assure you: you are gonna learn so much, laugh and have fun. They make sure to create a class environment where you feel comfortable to talk and express yourself, they clarify all your doubts even if they are not related with their classes and they are also great people. PD: if you are with David he is so creative and have different games to play during class, they are AWSOME!Not to talk about my bad experience: if you are an student looking for learning basic/intermediate English you are gonna be fine and I don't have anything to advise you, BUT if you are looking for a higher level than the average BE CAREFUL AND MAKE SURE TO ASK EVERYTHING BEFORE you start because their enrollment process is full of flaws and you could have an unpleasant experience as I did. This is what happened: when I was looking for a school I clarified to the seller that I was looking for a "medium/advance English course" in order to improve my English and apply to college here, he told me it was totally fine because they were gonna test me and according to my score they would place me in a class (everything cool so far). However, after taking the test and during the very beginning of my first class (the class they had placed me "according to my test") I realized the English they were teaching was a really basic English so I decided to stop writing in the book and during the break I went to talk to the staff expressing my concern about I had maybe been placed in the wrong level, to make a long story short they told me "your level of English is so high and we don't have any course right now for you" which you can imagine confused me more and made me a little bit angry too because nobody asked me if I was OK with being place in a level about 3 LEVELS BELOW my real level. After that I talked to Liliana (the manager) who made me feel disrespect and not supported for the school at all, they wanted me whether to pay for the book that I used for 1 hour (without knowing was not my book, how coul I have known?) and continue in my right level some weeks later or giving me a refund of 100% and I could leave the school without any problem, I disagreed and tried to make Liliana see how that didn't make sense, I mean: the school was willing to loose all the money I had already paid + the money for the whole book but they didn't want to accept the book back and let me continue in the right level couple weeks after that.I went to my house that day pretty disappointed and angry but I realized that at that point I was out of time to look for another school so I went back the next day and talked again to Liliana with my best face even when I kept thinking she was not making the smartest decision and feelings so disappointed as a costumer, we had a talk and agreed the school was gonna pay for the half of the book and I would pay the other half (which I am still thinking makes no sense) and I'm glad I did stay to study there because I had a really good time after all. I also wanna highlight that NICK WAS ALWAYS SO RESPECTFUL, HELPFUL AND NICE but it was not his decision, otherwise I'm sure he would have taken other path.In conclusion it's a good school but they should work more in the way they respond to those "atypical situations" because that could make their clients to have a really unpleasant process when they shouldn't.
Gabriela Monteiro: My experience here was very nice, because i improve my English and I met a lot of people from around the world.
Jusny Mackenson Louis-Jean: Just passed my TOEFL test there and I can say the employees are very professional and respectful. Personally, I am in love with the building, it is well preserved for a school that is dated from 1926.
Gabriela Ferreira: I really love this school! I wish I could spend more time there. Amazing teachers, amazing students from differents countries, amazing experience. Missing them.
Terry Lopez: It's a really good school to learn English, I am so grateful because I feel like I improved my english skills a lot.
Liz Ortiz Ruiz: It's a great school to learn English, I really enjoyed my time here, I'll miss talking classes here!
Adi Iore: Amazing school and great teachers!
Chef Alex: The school has an educational program that is great, the teachers and the office staff is awesome. I liked the mixture of cultures, different opinions the different people. I feel at home.
Felicitaciones!!!
K I: I can communicate with a various kind of countries classmates. But the school building is a little old.
Miriam González: I have studied here for 6 months and I really enjoyed this experience. I had a great time because I met a lot of people from different countries. The teachers are amazing. The BSE is the best school in the country to improve your English in. The lessons are great and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this school to everyone.
Paulino Obama: I was been for six months. I enjoyed meeting people from other countries and i loved the teachers as well. it' was a great experiance.

Boston Leadership Institute: what do users think?
Dan Allen: My daughter completed a three week biomedical engineering program during the summer. It was very disappointing. The program was disorganized and the content was not as advertised. When we asked for a refund, they offered us $400 to not post anything negative on social media. I would discourage anyone from enrolling their kids in this program. I also wouldn’t trust any positive reviews here because it seems to be their policy to pay people off to write good reviews. If it had been possible I would have given it zero stars.
Emma L: 🚩🚩 Don’t go to the Dana Hall programs!! I attended a three week program of Bio-Research and it was complete chaos; the first red flag was when the advertised course instructor who showed much experience with the program, was away for our time and replaced. With no notice or email from the camp at all, it was really unprofessional. And not to downplay the replacement’s expertise but they had never taught at the camp before. Additionally, the staff overall seemed a bit unsure of what to do leadership-wise and with free time after we completed the science experiment for the day. ON THE FIRST DAY, picture this; we finished the lab and then had two hours left before I was allowed to leave. I asked, “so are we doing anything else?” And they didn’t have an answer. SO I SAT THERE FOR TWO HOURS doing nothing and we weren’t allowed to leave. Needless to say, I left the program early and feel cheated of my time and money as we did so little. There is also much more but I would be writing too long. I felt especially bad for residential students who likely had to deal with the waiting around bs after I, a day student was finally allowed to go home. I don’t know the experience of other programs at other locations, I think it is a lot better elsewhere. But for me the Dana hall programs are a no.
Maxwell Burd: BLI has been nothing but a positive experience! Not only will you be taught by some of the most distinguished academics and most influential giants in every industry, but you will also make friends who share the same interests and passions and who make the environment even more fun and engaging. I have been a BLI student for the past two summers and my time in the business programs has taught me so much about the industry and about my own interests. I highly recommend this program to students who want to expand their horizons.
Makho Shonia: Our son loved this camp! Guy’s you’re great! Will see you next Summer!
Elias Novina: I attended Boston Leadership Institute's 3-week STEM Entrepreneurship program last summer and it was fantastic! It was satisfying to delve into a subject that I am interested in pursuing in college and grad school, and wouldn't have otherwise experienced until then. My instructor was an experienced professor at a prestigious college who made our hands-on projects and research challenging, interesting, and fun. I learned a great deal about how to solve a real world issue through entrepreneurship, and how to prepare and present a stock pitch to venture capitalists based our ideas. My classmates came from all over the country and the world. It was great to work in teams with them and collaborate on projects and presentations. We all became friends and still keep in touch. The 3 weeks were intensive, and flew by! I'm already looking forward to next summer at BLI!
Zachary Quigley-Brody: I would like to share something about my experience what I had at the Boston Leadership Institute in Wellesley over the summer of 2022 that I had a great experience at Dana Hall with Mr.Vega that I really did like the atmosphere of the institute plus the students were so nice. The class that I took was so interesting for Physics of Space i learned so many things about stars, planets, exoplanets, relativity etc. I never learned it before about physics of space and wanted to learn about more of this in science and it is good stuff to know.I was so enthusiastic for the class that I did take. It was so wonderful and I do feel so grateful and I do feel this is going to help me move forward and it is going to take me to so many places in the world. I was well experienced with this. I was so grateful for all of the learning and to help other people along the way and show them the guidance and giving it to other people right back to show all of my appreciation for what the Boston Leadership institute academy gave to meI would love to apply for BLI Student Ambassador to the program that I took. That would be so helpful in the future. I would be interested and yes please do send me an application.Thank you so muchZachary Quigley Brody
Nancy Mueller: This program is a great way to check out some subjects you don’t always get to cover in school (like forensics and anatomy) or want an introduction to prepare for next year.
Anna Eliot: I loved my time at BLI! I did the Pediatrics program and really enjoyed it. We had so many hands on experiences, and in just one week learned so many skills including taking vitals, doing sutures, drawing blood and administering vaccinations. We also got to do dissections which were supper cool. Overall, loved this program and would definitely do it again!
Alexa Koller: Such an amazing experience with the BLI!! Initially I was unsure of how impactful the program would be for me. Ultimately, I couldn't have been more pleased with such a valuable experience to help me solidify my interest in the field I've chosen to pursue. I met so many wonderful people - from other students to counselors and the administrators! I am very thankful that I got to be part of the BLI experience.
Prattay Bhattacharya: I loved the friendliness and occasional humor of the professor; it made the class very enjoyable. I also was astonished by the sheer range of experiments we were able to conduct. I definitely wouldn't have been able to do them in my high school. I really enjoyed my time at the Boston Leadership Institute!
Batu Ekiz: Both teachers and students in this program were very helpful. I liked not only the lectures but also the activities in the program. Mr. Charles Smith was a great teacher, as he mostly allowed us to study with each other to develop mock business ideas. Furthermore, when he did lecture us about something, we also remembered it. In addition, I learned how to value a bond, how medical drugs are produced, some historical terms, the procedures necessary to create a safe drug with minimal side effects and why regulations are necessary. I strongly believe that skills and knowledge I gained in this program will be quite useful in my future career in economics and financial areas.
Jackson McManus: I had an amazing experience in the Engineering and Design course at Boston Leadership Institute this summer. I learned the skills and was given the tools to explore the subject of aerodynamics and create a CO2 powered race car. My teacher was knowledgeable and encouraging. Taking this course has inspired me to pursue an engineering degree at the university level. I highly recommend this class for students who are interested in furthering their technical skills and expanding their creativity.
Cheng Hao Li: I did a one week summer camp here. While the classes were informative, I did often find myself bored. Other than that, the people were nice and this camp was one of the best weeks of my life.
Ava W.: Summer of 2021, I took the Boston Leadership Institute’s “Intro to Surgery” program. It felt as if we were enrolled in a legitimate medical school. We learned how to use common medical tools, examined and practiced different suturing methods, took extensive notes on anatomy, and even did safe mock-surgeries with real surgical instruments. Because I enjoyed the program so much, I returned for a second summer to take the “Pediatrics” course. I was again immersed in the world of medicine. We covered topics like pediatric check-ups, CPR, common diseases, brain development, and prenatal care. Every day of the program, I learned something new and valuable. BLI has many different courses that can provide you with interesting information, and I definitely recommend enrolling for a session or two this summer.
Aidan McCarthy: I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Boston Leadership Institute. I attended the 3 weeklong finance research program and had an amazing experience. I learned everything I wanted to about finance and more during my time. The teachers were knowledgeable and taught in a way where I was able to learn a lot and have fun. My classmates were both intelligent and easy to work with. I originally attended the program to see if finance would be a route I wanted to take in college. Based on my experience at BLI I have decided to major in finance when I go to college. I got the opportunity to stay in a suite on Bentley's campus during my stay at BLI. I met other students not only from the US but from around the world. I feel like I have made lifelong friendships with people I never would have had the opportunity to meet had I not attended BLI. I am thankful for this experience.
Zhixin Jin: I did two separate programs at BLI during the summer. One stationed at Emmanuel University in Longwood and another in the Dana Hall school. My experience at Emmanuel was much better than that of Dana Hall. Emmanuel was really enriching and exciting because it gave us easy access to the city, had more freedom on the campus (this allowed us to explore different places in the city after camp, and sometimes we snuck out during camp to buy food) and served great lunches. Dana Hall wasn't as good because we were forced to stay inside the school campus, and there weren't many interesting things near it. (the lunch was also quite yucky)
Jeremiah Barron: I took the astrophysics program and loved it. The teacher was amazing and the curriculum dove deep into a subject that is not often seen in schools.
Adrienne G: The classes offered are very interesting, engaging, and welcoming to all. I have participated in summer camps through BLI for the past two summers, and I have enjoyed every camp. The camps offered new knowledge, experience, and inspired me to learn more about the topics they covered. I highly recommend signing up for camps run through this program: I can count on a good experience in all of them. The teachers know their topics very well, treat students with respect and kindness, and have always been very enthusiastic. The other students were kind to one another - and I made some new friends every week.
Addison Blevins: The instructors were amazing and I learned so much!!
Karina Sklyar: I have done BLI for two summers now. Both of my instructors have been able to personally connect with each student, even in big classes, and show how much they care. Every student has a chance to feel involved with the daily hands on activities, engaging presentations, and group projects. Any student that wants to explore their future career path should make their way to BLI!
Amy Marks: This is such a thoughtful program - our child thrived with an excellent instructor and loved being around other young scientists as interested in the subject as they are!

Stephen Chase: This is my favorite high school in New England!!!
P Price: For "kids who cant read good."
William Hughes: Our son is thriving at BCHigh. Diverse student body and superior faculty. Academically challenging with a perfect balance of nurturing. Large endowment allows the tuition to remain reasonable. One of the finest schools in New England .
Michael Middleton: Proud, recent BCH graduate here. The skills and lessons gained/learned at this school have been invaluable in college. Beyond graduation, the alumni network is large and wide-reaching, with graduates all over the US, as well as abroad. Could not recommend this school enough.
todd windyhill: Proud BCH graduate...most proud of the service to others provided by BCH students and alumni...yes, high achievers proliferate among BCH'ers, but the school seeks to create a "man for others", and the last 150 years has seen legions of BCH men make major and positive contributions to all segments of society.

Boston University Academy: what do users think?
Humoyun Egamberdiyev: Very good colleg
Rasesh Doshi: Good campus and good college
Jake Slocum: BUA is the best school in the city with a positive non polarizing learning environment. We don’t need ungrateful new people who have to always be the center of attention constantly pushing their opinions on everyone else. Someone who has tried to keep our great schools closed in the past by expressing their radical views. These unfounded and unwanted opinions should be kept to oneself to avoid causing anxiety within our community. Comparing in class learning to “driving while texting without your seatbelt on” is just plain reckless. You are scaring new drivers instead of building their confidence. Mrs T, please stick to art club and keep politics out of our schools. It will not work here either. Unmask our kids.
Susan Han: Phenomenal head and staff. An exceptionally welcoming, inclusive community. So glad our daughter chose this school for her high school experience.
Jinsong Huang: I have only been here as a sport official and have very good impression with the school and its staff.
