Boston Winery: what do users think?
Tessa Vinny: 10/10 service. Came by on a Friday Afternoon to have a glass of wine under the pergola. We were greeted by Angela who suggested a Montepulciano- one of the best I have ever had. The owner Vito came over to us as soon as he got here and suggested a few other wines after asking what we like. Every recommendation was quickly and happily consumed. Cannot recommend Boston Winery enough!!
kareen casey: The best experience ever! If you want to learn more about wine and how to pair it with your meals this is the place. Ralph and Vito makes the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend.
Howie B: Awesome venue! Very nice decor in an old building on the waterfront. Staff is excellent and the food, from Venezia is incredible.
Brian Guess: quaint, ambient, and enjoyable wine-tasting family-owned locale. Ralph is the moment ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Colleen Ryan: My husband and I absolutely loved having our wedding at Boston Winery. It was a great location for us and our families, the perfect size for a small-to-medium event (we had ~90 people), and the venue is just so pretty. We loved dancing under the string lights, having our ceremony surrounded by wine barrels, eating at long tables with our friends and family (also made it more flexible to do the seating chart than mostly rounds!), drinking their amazing selection of wine, and enjoying the beautiful ivy-lined patio with the breeze of the habor on our backs. Our guests just loved this “hidden gem” in the city and we were so happy to introduce it to them. We didn’t need to do much to make the space beautiful. They were also very acommodating for the many gluten allergies we had (myself included). It can be tough to eat at weddings with an allergy, but no one left hungry. Michelle and her team made sure out guests had a great time, and were very easy to work with.
James Toms: What a gem!!! Tucked away just off I-93 you might as well be going to Tuscany or Abruzzi. The family brings personal attention and knowledge to each barrel and bottle of their fine wines. Vito represents the family extremely well and demonstrates the passion required to make fine wine.I suggest a trip to their winery on a quiet weekday if you want to learn to appreciate the skill required to make remarkable wine!
John Powers: Went for the first time last night. Great experience! Ralph and Vito were extremely friendly and they taught us a bit about each pairing and how they went about building out the pairings. We will be going back soon, and left with 2 bottles to take home
ruth fast: The venue was very nice for a weddimg. Great wine but the food was mediocore.
Ed Smith: No tastings during the week. Still, we bought the Barbera and Chardonnay.Lots of weddings here.
Tim Bond: Went there for a private function, they were wonderful. Love the petit shiraz.
Daniel Cronin: My wife and I had our wedding there and we could not have been more satisfied with the end result. We got everything we wanted and Michelle, the Venue Manager was excellent. She helped us from beginning to end and made the day of very easy for us. Would highly recommend this venue.
brittany lewis: I had my wedding at the Boston winery and it was beyond perfect. Michelle is hands down the best person to work with to make sure all your needs are met come the day of your wedding. The food was exceptional, all of my guests got in touch with me after the wedding to note how awesome the food was and how gorgeous the venue was, with the Boston skyline hovering in the background. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to party after I got married.
Sara M: Went for the Wednesday night wine tasting. For the price, it was a great deal. Very nice pairings and the wines were all good. I wish the tasting was a tad more informative with maybe a presentation or written descriptions/ history of the operation, but still for the price it was very very good.
Denisse Padilla: Honestly recommend. Place is nice and cozy. Staff is great! Wine is tasteful. Overall a great experience. Check them out. Ask for "Vito". He was great!
G Jean: Took my girlfriend here to celebrate her birthday and we fell in love. The atmosphere is serene, elegant and absolutely perfect. The wine was delicious! Everyone there was so kind, funny and made you feel like you were amongst dear friends. I cannot wait to come back. Thank you for making one of my best friends birthdays an wonderful delight
Susan MacIsaac: Can't say enough about this gem of a place, hidden in our own back yard. I've attended functions and served amazing wine and food. My daughter and I were given an impromptu private tour by the owner himself. The wine selection and prices are amazing and now the only place I want to give my business. If you love family run, quality wine, professional and friendly service you must come here and support the locals.
K. Moore: Great service and great atmosphere!
Laurie Crawford: I brought my husband here as part of our day planned to celebrate his 50th. He was a little skeptical when he saw that they pick the wines for you for the tasting. We usually only like a select few types of wines but we were both blown away that we liked all 5 of the wines that were chosen for us! We never would have tried half of the wines we tasted if it were our choice. We liked the wine so much we bought 6 bottles. Safety protocols were followed and the staff was welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back to try more wines. They change the tasting menu each week.
Hannah O Toole: Came here for my friends Bachelorette party. There was 12 of us 6 on each table. The ambience and decor setting is very nice. Ralph served us and we had fun chatting with him. He was super friendly and very attentive with topping up the wine. Would recommend coming here.
Shelby Slater: The Brachetto is perfect. Great staff! Ralphie was super helpful and made the experience more enjoyable!
George Konstas: Awesome place. A must visit!Super friendly and knowledgeable!

The Wine Emporium: what do users think?
Ricky Sánchez (Ricky): Workers were helpful and knowledgeable
Frank Connolly: Fantastic selection and very knowledgeable staff. I would give it 10 stars.
Hamza Malik: Best hibiscus sour beer.
Nero T: Massive selection of wines with knowledgable staff to find interesting pairings. Worth multiple visits to try the many unique wines
David Lofy: Wide varieties of wines and liquor alcohol. The staff were happy to assist in any questions about the wines with wine tasting and suggestions. It was a nice experience. @DavidAndErikasTravels
Rick Wardell: I had a very disappointing experience here after being a customer for over 20 years. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. The other day I went in to select a bottle of spirits, as I had numerous times before arms length right in front of me on the left, if facing the counter. I always asked them previously and they told me each time “No Worries, just grab it yourself, it’s right in front of of you.”This time, I did not recognize the staff, so I said “hope you don’t mind me grabbing the bottle.”A heavy set girl with blond streaks in her hair named Tristen yelled at me with a nasty attitude and anger “We prefer that you don’t - Sir!” Wow! So I placed it back and her much nicer co-worker, who also seemed shocked that she just spoke to a customer that way, helped me out and retrieved the bottle. Tristen should not be working with the public. Thanks
Salem Nowbahari: Great
Dakota: Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and Jon was so friendly and helped me sort through the vast amount of wines.
Richard Russo: Awesome place all kinds of good wine and spirits 😃
Nick Heath: Good varied selection of wine, beers, liquors, but way over Covid-Pandemic priced!! Scalping the consumer!!
De La: Over the last year the place has improved tremendously - clearly the new management is making a huge difference along with the team members they have added! The selection is incredible across the board - whether you are looking for wine (available in the sizable wine cellar downstairs), liquor, or beer, odds are they have something to satisfy your tastes! And if it isn't in stock, the team is super helpful with suggestions for alternatives or there's a form on their website that provides the ability to request an item.HIGHLY RECOMMEND STOPPING IN!!!!
Daniel Quiton: Huge selection, great service
Pamela Keener: I live in the neighborhood and have for quite some time. This store has changed and has changed for the better! Apparently they have been under new management for about a year AND IT SHOWS. The whole vibe of the store is just cooler. The selection of everything is abundant and there is always someone working that is engaging and wanting to help you find what you are looking for. LOVE THIS PLACE!
Hadrien GLAUDE: Decent wine and beer choice. Prices are very reasonable. Sellers are very knowledgeable and nice.
Martin Ryan: South End location has always been great addition to neighborhood. Well stocked coolers and great wine selections. Place has made great use of it's space. Tie that up with a knowledgeable, very helpful staff and you couldn't ask for more. Cheers!
Elisa Mao: Good selection
Rudy Donalson: There has ever been a time that I went into the emporium and walked out with a bad experience. There is a gentlemen in there he assist with your items even if he is sticking shelves. The wine section is off the hook. Overall it is a great experience Everytime.
Laidlaw Group: Excellent selection of wines and super friendly staff. I was interested in a wine they didn't have and they offered to get it for me. They did. Tremont St location is also very convenient!
Mason Mills: Nice local liquor store. They have a great selection and some hard to get beers that you can't find in other spots around the South End.
Gerald Manning: Good selection decent pricing.
Mary Ann Shimer: Great selection of wines from all over the world. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff!

Sean McShane: A very broad selection of wines with options for every price range. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable in equal measure. My favorite wine shop in Boston, no contest

Bought a bottle of Brut on my way out and signed up for their rewards program :) PS Very friendly and respectful team they have there! Carmelle Bonhometre: Good wine and good customer service.

haley.henry: what do users think?
Edwin Ortega: Amazing selection of natural wines.
Jessica Kirkland: Always great service and amazing wine selection.
Lindsey Mike: Food, wine, staff - everything here was phenomenal. The owner was even here and chatted with us for a while which I feel like really speaks to how amazing this place is. HIGHLY recommend. We will be back.
Jarrett Sloan: Seriously nice staff, had a great visit.
Pierre-Luc St-Arnaud: Staff is very friendly, wine selection is amazing, food was simple yet incredible, and the atmosphere was perfect. It has to be the best restaurant playlist I ever heard! 90s-00s-10s Hip-Hop/R&B, couldn't beat it. If I get to hear Gucci Mane's Lemonade at a bar, it sure as hell going to be a solid night. Will have to visit everytime I'm in Boston.
Lara Cohen: Incredible wine menu and very knowledgeable staff. Was impressed by the “tapas” menu as it’s really a comprehensive, full light-bites menu that you can make a delicious and substantial meal out of. They’ll open any bottle as long as you’re getting 2 glasses, even if it’s not listed by the glass. Will def be back!
Summer Wang: We were here on Valentine’s Day, and it was a really nice experience. All the staff are extremely busy, but they did try their best to service. I love the idea of ordering half a bottle of wine. We can try out a few more drinks without getting too tipsy. Food was ok, they don’t have a big kitchen as it is a wine bar.
Scot Alexander: Small vibey wine bar with interesting tinned fish selections as well as some very good small fresh seafood plates. This is a fun spot for individuals to grab a wine and appetizer but also a great interesting and fun date spot to be adventurous and try tinned fish paired with wine.Seating is limited so if you are not arriving earlier you may want to set up a reservation before arrival. Earlier walk-ins are frequently accommodated.
Alexandra Faber: I study wine as a hobby and I love coming here as they constantly have something new to try.
Addy Procter: Awesome tiny wine bar with great snacks. Don't skip the tinned fish, they have some amazing selections. Service was excellent as well.
Syd Benjamin: Some of the best wine I’ve ever had, amazing small plates, will definitely be back.
Stewart Glass: Easy 5 stars. Friendly team, easy drinking wine, warm vibes.Great spot for a glass or two.
Heather G: Found this place looking to top off a night out. I loved the large selection of wines and the option to order half a bottle. Some red wine with chocolate mouse was the perfect way to end our night.
Heather Leiss: Highly recommend! Such a gem. Great wine, good music and awesome somms! The vibe is one of a kind
Monique Zipeto: Fun wine list. Great tinned fish. Hip romantic vibes. Must try!
Tom McManus: It was a warm, early summer evening on a secondary Boston street. The city hummed a sample of a post-pandemic tune. We sat out on the sidewalk. We were exposed to the environment and open to the world. Out of this environment, a symbiotic relationship emerged between culinary experts and consumers with a lust for delicious food and drink.Let go of what you know about canned food and children's snacks. Prejudice has no home here and prejudice will not survive this gastronomic expirience. The combinations of ingredients are a revelation. Canned octopus, chips, aoli and course salt will become one of your favorite medleys. The motif of the limitless pioneer saturates the menu. Bold flavors and combinations are the norm. They say 50% of a movie is sound and 50% of any good meal is a good drink. haley.henry's selection of natural wines provides stellar pairings and completes the outstanding expirience.Broaden your horizons and give this place a try!
Aditya Sreekumar: I was here twice and highly recommend the place. The wine recommendations have always been spot on with what we were looking for, the food was great as well.
Jack Snowdon: Shocking. Not only the food, but also the service and atmosphere.Pumpkin risotto was so acidic all I could taste was lemon juice. Tin can mackerel plate was decent but 1 can for $20?? It came with 4 pieces of burnt hamburger bun and some butter. The service was very unfriendly. Lady was miserable, no greeting, no smile, nothing. Bring your eskimo jacket, I watched the table next to me get blasted by the cold air every time the front door opened. And if you make it to the end of the meal, prepare to be rushed out.Atmosphere sucks. Cheesy dim lighting backed by some of Kanye West’s older jarring lyrics. Don’t waste your time.
Susan Davis: This is a great date spot. It is a small restaurant, but it is really a wine bar. The tuna was great. They have fun seasonal wines like orange wine.
William “Rhino Reviews” Clark: Super upbeat wine bar concept with a tiny kitchen and a bunch of excellent staff.Sat at the bar which is also the kitchen. Bartender was awesome. She recommended wines to pair and honestly made the whole experience really enjoyable. We had charcuterie and pan con tomate to start, paired with white wines. Both dishes were very good. Great flavor with a nice Spanish flair. For the main, my wife stayed with white and I moved to red. We had seared tuna and pumpkin risotto with scallops. Both very good. Risotto had more of a lemon flavor than pumpkin but good nonetheless.Finished with bread pudding. Absolutely outstanding.Fun place with a great vibe and energy. Highly recommend.
Zara Vasquez-Evens: Love the vibe, the staff, and a great wine selection. Sitting at the counter with a couple of tins of fish, buttered bread, a great glass of a funky sparkling rosé and 90s hip hop on the speakers? Slice of heaven.

City Winery: what do users think?
don kennel: Great Venue ... staff, sound, location! With so many venues for tunes in Boston, City Winery really does it top notch. The space is fun and open; we had dinner before our show and the service and food were well worth it. Personal attention from the staff from 1st arrival through after the show. A solid Sound system, and the artists are really able to interact with us all. Very cool. AND then, a total unexpected bonus :: post show meet and great with the Artists! This is definitely on our fav list.
Tim Pullo: Have been to this venue multiple times, nice spot with welcoming employees and easy location access.
Eitan Paul: I've been to 2 shows here. Very nice, intimate-feeling venue with very attentive audiences. Great sound/acoustics. At the first show I went to in August 2022, service was very slow but staff were friendly. Second show I went to in May 2023 had much better service. Tickets for some shows are a little pricey but overall, a very cool venue.
Kathleen Sullivan: Disappointed in the Graham Parker show. He did not play many of his hits which is what audience wanted to hear. No encore. Venue was great!
Steven Blais: A wonderful venue to see a performance. Great food, wonderful wine and ambiance, and a great night out.
microkombi: We've been attending shows at City Winery since they opened. It's a great concert venue with good food and drink. The menu is a bit limited and overpriced, but that's the tradeoff for seeing some of our favorite artists up close and personal.
Glenna Stolzberg: Seeing the Stephen Page trio at City Winery was such a great experience! I look forward to seeing many shows there in the future. They did everything right! From the validated parking to the excellent seats and show views- to the delicious dinner. The staff were superior and so accommodating too.
John McLaughlin: Saw The Steven Page Trio last night - great experience in a really good intimate venue. We did not eat (next time - promise), but the server kept us lubricated and all in all it was a really good event.
Joan Quinn Eastman: Just discovered City Winery and their marvelous Main Stage performance space where the wine flowed, and the food was sumptuous! Saw Simrit live. It was a wonderful experience. Will be back soon! 🙏🏼
John Welsh: A Great experience. A GREAT venue
Melissa King: Great place to see live music, but the food was not good and the wait staff was absent the whole night. I arrived at 6:00pm so I could have dinner before seeing Fatoumata Diawara and it took until the show was about to start (8pm) for my food to arrive. My friend had to walk around the entire venue trying to find someone to take their drink order.
Michael Miller: We saw Simrit 4/30. She was awesome. Her band and the cellist that opened solo and joined the band were awesome. The service was terrible. Our server took our drink order shortly before the music started. The opening act did her set and 4-5 songs into Simrit he was still MIA. At least 40-45 minutes. We were vibing out to the music and slightly annoyed but were fine. We went to the bar, told the bartender what happened and asked can we just order drinks with you. Instead of sorry about that here’s some drinks he said he’d find the MIA server and asked us to just wait at the table. We went to the bar in the restaurant side to get our drinks. We saw our server on the way and he asked us then, 45 minutes later and only because we happened to bump into him, did we need anything. We said we were good just going to the bar and he was annoyed and rude about it. He could’ve just said sorry about that let me get you some drinks right away and we would’ve been fine. The whole show went by and the server didn’t come back to check on us once. He came by at the end to check us out and said he couldn’t find us. We were dancing directly next to our table and impossible to miss. He found us easily enough to check us out 😉We did see a few servers hustling and it was busy. We’re very understanding and not tough customers at all. But this was terrible. Would definitely not see a show there again. I’ve never written a review of a restaurant or music venue before. This was extra bad though and the fact that nobody cared or tried to make it right and the server being annoyed and rude prompted this review. Had anyone along the way just said “our bad here’s a drink” we would’ve been fine.I hope Simrit’s people see this. Hope she plays some place else when she comes back to Boston. We’ll be there as long as it’s not at the City Winery.
Bob Harder: Great place for enjoying simrit who is simply fabulous
Diandra: Enjoyed the show & food very impressed with the service. A great night!
Kimberly Perry: Great evening ... good drinks , food and laughs!
carl packard: Simrit Kaur 1st time here and seeing her. Imo on front of the stage should be allowed for dancers at dancing shows. Way too packed with tables and chairs like it was for a bucha old people
Eric Harrison: Well run- great sound
Aaron Marx: Great venue, nice and intimate, great service! Carsie Blanton and Mike Viola were amazing to see that close and performance and sound far exceeded my expectations. Restaurant side was gorgeous and great wine selection. Wine a little on the pricey side but overall had a great time, will be coming back!
Jill Tully: Great night out! Fun to try new wines, had some yummy bites, and the comedian was hilarious! Really enjoy this venue!
william brown: It was a wonderful time.
Ms. Hope: Great venue, very kind staff.Just disability awareness tip; the website should list the street location of your accessible entrance and there should be more clear signage as the front has a lift that isn’t working .But my friend and I got great help from the front like lady who was a sweetheart and walked with me to help open the back entrance and get my friend in. Thanks so much. And Berklee, you guys put on an amazing show!!!

Janetha Dingle-Reid: I was extremely excited to come and explore the store. Chip, greeted my sister and we shared that this was our first visit to the store. he gave us an amazing experience! I must say he wasn’t the first person to great us and we were so glad he stop us from leaving ! He truly turned our experience around and quickly. he explained the how the store was set up and even educated us on a lot of wines. he also recommended a lot of wines (I purchased one) He even got me signed up to receive weekly newsletters from the store. I also spoke with Emily and she informed me about the special Tuesdays, let’s just say I can not wait to come back. I’m excited to be apart of The Urban Grape Community. My favorite part of this visit was the staff weekly pick. How amazing is that! The owners value their employees opinions. It’s also the perfect pitstop in the store for when you just don’t know what to try next!
Michael DiBona Sr: Great store
Anna Esten: Recently placed an order as a holiday gift and they were extremely helpful with selecting bottles of wine at my price point and executing an efficient delivery. Will return!
Felix Andino: Exelent wine store.
Vishal Sunak: Great people and service. Amazing selection and always willing to go the extra mile. Buy here!
Celine Nie: Socially conscious and highly delicious. Best part of the experience here? The staff. Highly knowledgeable, personable, kind and helpful! Learning about the progressive drinking scale is a treat and the selection is insane. Everything is intentional, from the lighting fixtures to the counters. Big bonus: you can order online and they deliver on the Boston area! Can’t miss here, and can’t wait to go back again.
Doug Jacobs: Great wine centered store with employees who really know their wine. In addition, they have a good but small selection of beer and liquor. As an added plus, the wine is arranged bottom to top by price, so you won't be surprised!
ka yi: Great staff, great selection. Very knowledgeable and friendly.
Justin Shaw: This is a fabulous, magical place. Extremely helpful staff. Walls and walls of wine. What's not to like?
Russell Payne: Interesting and unique layout for a wine store.
David Cooke: Esoteric selection at reasonable prices with staff that loves questions and conversation. We've been going to Urban Grape for over a decade for wine, whiskey, spirits, tastings, advice, and more. A wonderful place to gain an education and share your experiences.
Juan Carlos P: Best place to get wine, beer and other amazing spirits. The service here is like an amazing hotel, always amazing and they know what to recommend to you instead of selling. I heard wine tasting might be coming back and that's always good. Thank you for such a cool concept and I will keep visiting for the years to come.

Cellar Wine & Spirits: what do users think?
omar bensaid: Awesome staff and such a huge variety of worldwide fine wines and a satisfying service to a very demanding type of customers. They also have recycling system to return bottles and cans deposits, using recycling machines at the back of the store. They accept only the products sold in their store and takeglace + plastic + cans.
Marco: Not much for selection unless it's wine
RM Fouche: The owner and staff are very knowledgeable and their enthusiasm for good spirits (both the liquid and emotional kind) is readily apparent. Cellar Wine has more wine in stock than liquor or beer, but each category is well represented nonetheless. The store has a relaxed atmosphere, which I especially appreciate when I am just looking for something to enjoy based on my mood.
Shandra Jones: Super nice, local service. Inventory is nicely assorted although they won't have "everything". But while you might not find a specific brand of interest, they can recommend an alternative that they do carry. I'll go back.
Maite Rivas: Small local liquor store. Has what you need for spirits and wine...and they’ll wrap a bottle if you are headed to a party!
I-y H: Hey really, the staff here is so nice and willing to help !
Carlos Restrepo: I'm not a very wine-person nevertheless it is nice to visit this place, grab some beers, receive some help choosing a wine. The staff is really nice and kind
Sam Barnett: Premium.
Justin So: Very good selections. The staff are nice and very helpful giving recommendations.
Stavros Macrakis: Good neighborhood wine and beer store. Small, with a limited selection of hard liquor.
Joseph Brassard: They have bourbon, that's all that matters.
Peter Wright: The Cellar is a top-tier beer, wine, and spirits shop in a modest setting. The staff, especially Mike, provide amazing service every time. They know a ton about their products and are happy to share their wealth of information with customers. The selection of beer is great. I am especially thankful for the seasonal variety. Highly recommended all around!
Pax Ressler: I loved shopping here, and found the staff helpful and fun to talk to. I was looking for some cheap reds and whites for a party that night, and was pointed in the right direction with great suggestions. I was so pleased I came back the next day. Such a great shop!
Meghan McGowan: I will never go anywhere else to get wine. Amazing selection and a knowledgeable seller.
Richard Spatz: The store is mostly wine with spirits as an afterthought. I was looking for a mid-range vodka. They only had, say 4-5 brands from bottom to top-shelf and pricing was high, even compared to Dana Hill liquors a couple blocks down the street. This review only pertains to liquor. It's possible it's a great spot for wine.
Michael Bouziner: Prices are reasonable but selection is poor. At least for Spanish and French.
Anonymous Aviator: Great spot to buy any liqueur. I was amazed because i found Augustiner. My favorite german beer
Maxwell Lent: Staff is very helpful and really knows what they are talking about. Plus the prices are pretty great.
Gregory McNamer: Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good selection. Prices are reasonable considering the location.
Ryne Hager: Smaller selection of beer than other places, but it's quite well curated with items you really can't find anywhere else and rotates stock very quickly. There is new stuff to try almost every couple days. The people here are always up to recommend something you haven't checked out before, or to point out something new or unusual that you aren't very likely to find elsewhere.Best liquor store in the area, frankly. Also, they have Grimm.
John Pollock: Great selection
