Andrew K. Smith: Tags lives up to the slogan "Ace | The Helpful Place". The folks in the paint department were very helpful in providing high quality Benjamin Moore paints and advice on re-painting a Cambridge area apartment quickly and affordably when the exact swatches couldn't be found. You also can't beat the location, layout, and number of staff available to help. I wish some of the tools weren't locked. But there is a fair amount of retail theft in Porter Square, so that can be forgiven. The store also carries a number of kitchen housewares that would appeal to people in the area. Skip Home Depot and give Tags a try if you're within two miles of Porter Square. The parking area needs improvement, but it's free and off-street, which is rare in Cambridge.
Joseph Chow: They sell 2" letters kit and 2" numbers kit gold on black. They sell 36 grit sandpaper (50 grit or lower). Proper eye protection, hand protection, face protection required for using 50 grit sandpaper or lower. Perfect for waiting the 87 bus to Arlington via Davis.

Timothy Bucciarelli: Need a high quality custom frame for a piece of art you care about? This is the place. Be prepared to spend money as this type of work is not inexpensive. Nice staff is helpful in deciding how the frame works with the artwork. Production takes time - so not ideal if you are in a rush.

Y and A Haber: We have worked with A Street Frames for a decade now, have had *dozens* of drawing and paintings framed, crated, and shipped by them... so it's fair to say that we really, truly know them. They mill their own wood, weld their own metals. Make all frames from scratch (not from prefab pieces) and they can match any color. They work with museums, galleries, and small collections. If possible, they will even deliver. What they quote upon drop-off they will charge upon completion. They treat all originals, all art, with the utmost care. This is a worldclass framer.

Team Banda: Truckers: If you're coming in a full size semi be prepared! Place is definitely not made to have large cars delivering. There's no real legal route in and you can't come and go the same way. You'll need help stopping traffic and it's a BUSY junction. I came in x14 off i93, west on Columbia, west on E. Cottage. Then you'll have to back down Humphreys st to get facing east on Cottage to hit the dock. Leaving I took Norfolk Ave, right on Hampden right on Melnae Cass back to i93, Narrow, tight, totally not made for semi's. Good luck! Unload time was average, left the trailer a mess and left nails in the floor. Highly recommend you call ahead and let them know when you're rolling in and then again right before you arrive so they can have people ready to assist blocking traffic. Or better yet, tell these *Logistics experts* this is no place for 75'+ of truck and this stuff should be cross-docked at a more appropriate location onto box trucks for final delivery. They have their own box trucks so no reason they can't make a couple trips to a local facility.

I called the company to report him so let’s see if they actually do something about this dumb ginger in a red hat. I’ll be following up. But I wouldn’t recommend hiring a company who can’t controlTheir own drivers. Clearly people just hire anyone now a days. Dumb ginger needs to be fired immediately !!
XW ZF: I would not give any star if there is an option. This company has the worst customer service. They have problems charging my credit card even though no other vendor has any problems. They have been saying it is my problem and the person there doesn't even try to place the order and keeps on complaining my card. Ironically I had used the same card placed an order from them last month. I told her just to place the order ( just try it) since she kept on complaining. No actions were taken by this lady except for complaining. I have to stop her asking her to place the order but she told me she would not take my order. My past orders were over 10 windows( used same credit card), but this time it was a small order. A company does not have appreciation to their customers, and a company shows a rude customer services when you are placing a small order. Please stay away from it!

Bryan Yoon: This is what happens to Diamond double hung windows after 10 years. Their warranty only partially covers these defects (20% of part), so spend your money wisely. Window replacement in Boston goes for about $400-500 per window, and I have 22 of them at my house. You do the math.

Trent Monges: We used Diamond windows to do our office windows in NYC, and I have to say they are phenomenal. This is a family run business that has been around for 20+ years. Their knowledge and experience was a pleasant surprise when it came to selecting and pulling the trigger on the windows we needed. It was clear they were professionals in the window manufacturing industry.They did the work quickly, and efficiently. I had a lot of questions and the workers were more than happy to answer each and every one.I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. USE USE USE these guys for any window needs, you won’t regret it.
chris papetti: I would think twice before working with Diamond window. Have a home full of Diamond windows. Less than 10 years old and half don’t open or won’t stay open. They offer no support paid or unpaid and are rude to deal with. I’ve had much better performance and customer service from other brands.

Daniel Walsh: I love this place (the Belmont St. location)! Melissa was super helpful, attentive, patient, and professional during my first visit here - and the progressive prescription glasses they provided are far superior to the ones I had been wearing for years. The lenses they use are so clear, it's like having new vision. And Melissa has always been happy to help, going above and beyond, whenever my glasses need an occasional adjustment (I once sat on my glasses, but she restored them to as good as new). Kathy, too, there has been wonderful, too. It must be in the air. Kudos, HSEC! Highly, highly recommended.

Angelo Nakos: I bought a pair of glasses as well as regular sunglasses from here.I have been here for my annual eye exam a few times.I was very disappointed when the frame that I bought (Etna Barcelona), which is one of their higher end-ones, started chipping off paint right by the hinges.This happened during the first year that I owned this pair, however, due to my busy schedule and other circumstances I was unable to visit this location to have it fixed.The main optician at this location told me when I bought my pair of sunglasses recently to bring my other pair with the issue that I described to see what can be done. I was very disappointed when I went to pick up my sunglasses and the main optician immediately said that they can’t do anything because it’s past the one year mark (something that had been mentioned in our earlier conversation during which she suggested coming in nevertheless).I will be looking for a new optometrist as well as shop for eye glasses.

Beau Cote: We live local so this is our local hardware store. We used to go to the Watertown location and between the two this one is better. Register staff is generally always helpful. Staff around the store are generally not. I came to buy a Makita saw recently when the Milwaukee rep was there and literally nobody would help unlock the cage so I could buy the saw and they were all talking behind my back to the Milwaukee rep about how I didn’t know what I was doing. If you’re going to keep things behind lock and key, then have staff appropriately around the store to help. It’ll probably do the job if you need to come here but don’t expect much help. Plan ahead.
Bob Schoenberg: The store had various strong chemical smells that I had to leave. Two items I wanted they didn't have. Never found the 3rd one because I had to leave the store to get some fresh air. I like shopping at Home Depot, but not this one. I was with a friend who also had to leave because the fumes were stinging her eyes.

So there was a possibility to unload them, but he refused to do it..Finally, I called the main office in Atlanta, who convinced him to take the delivery.

Best part when I asked to speak with a district manager, the order specialist told me to go "find the number myself" since he didn't want to escalate it any further. Worst customer experience ever.

Darwinsom: We were doing a renovation and ordered butcherblock for a countertop. They gave us a specific time to pick it up the next day. It wasn't any of the ones we wanted but it was all they had in stock at the location and we were constrained by time.Nope, they "couldn't reach it." We ask "when then?" Time given. This time, we call. Nope, not yet, it's behind too many things. Wait shopping. Go home. Come back.This totally messed us up as we were selling the property and ended up installing it, but no time left to do other things.No apologies, just "business as usual" I repeat they were supposed to have it in stock [inventory] but why give a time The Following Day if you can't actually sell it?!One star for a bad experience? That bad experience cost us money. And my renovators had to be paid for going back and forth.There are only a few people who can actually help. Older guys and they're great. But when you finally find the one of two max you that you need they're swarmed with customers.It's hard to find wood that isn't cracked. In general they are stocked though unless it's a sale & I get that.Check out: cashier allowed a customer to "oops I forgot something. Then the shopper was gone for 5 minutes. There wasn't much & nothing heavy that had already been checked through. I wasn't the only one in line there were two more behind me. I got uncharacteristically angry. I got glared at.Returns are efficient. FYI if you're a casual shopper, check the contractor area. Things are cheaper but the same. The garden center has good sales. Be ready to haul your own Christmas tree and mulch. Oddly, they will help you to your car. There's room to pull up.It's very frustrating in there. Go for the circular items.Oh and they block the disabled aids.

I let them know I don't have a phone capable and they say you can't get the discount. Before all that was required was showing a military/veteran ID card.The staff have very little to know knowledge about trades, building, construction, etc. I often end up explaining to them how things work. Also had to explain to two different cashiers how to do a transaction (I'm a former employer from over 10 years ago) because they didn't know how to use their own computer.

The Christmas tree we purchased from the Watertown Home Depot was already dead the week before Christmas and they refused to give us an exchange or a refund. Nice huh? Robin Beaulieu: Came out of the iconic Porter Sq. Red line 'T' stop & headed for the Target located to its right-across the street. Three of the sales associates i interacted w/ were very helpful in giving assistance to my questions. Over all the store is well maintained & have a fair selection of merchandise (but no bird seed, which is what I went in to look for, & the ladies rest room has no way of drying ones hands). Otherwise I would return to shop here again.
Chloe Craig: I gave up on grocery shopping here because I consistently was throwing away moldy/spoiled food, often months before the expiration date. I've seen moldy food sitting on the shelves before and at least half their frozen section has clearly thawed and refrozen. Jaye Aster Broder: Better target than Central Square. Staff is pretty helpful. There is a larger grocery sections and household tools sections than other small Targets. It’s located next to the Porter Square T stop.

John O'Toole: Zero phone support. The recorded message tells you not to ask for product availability. It only provides location and hours (which is available online, so that's useless.) I got through to a specific department, I heard them pick up the phone and hang it up. With a 20-30 minute walk, I need to be able to make sure the product I need is in store before I spend the time to go there.
Reem Hawary: The staff was very friendly, Emma in particular by the self check out , just made my day, I was having a rough day, but with her compliment and cheerfulness she managed to change the whole mood. Even though I didn’t find everything I was looking for, I gained enough positivity from her to overcome the rough day !

L B: I ordered online and and received an email saying my order is ready for pick up. When I got I had a hard time finding parking, I had to circle couple times. When I got inside I spoke to a rep about my order, he asked me to wait while he goes find it. He found it but for some reason he had to go in the computer to check something idk what the problem was. Anyway O had to wait about 10 minutes for them to figure out something about my order. Usually they just scan my app and that’s it. Finally they got it figured out, never apologized.. terrible experience. I will never go back there.
