Cambridge Bicycle: what do users think?
Firat Imir: At first , they told me 40$ total for adjusting both breaks, after they finished work they charged me 70$. Unbelievable.
Vinnicios “vinny” Ferreira: These guys are great. Highly knowledgeable staff. All I needed was some information and even though I didn't purchase anything I got all the assistance I needed to make a wise decision. I greatly recommend Cambridge bicycle.
Ignacio DR: I fixed a flat tire here. It went flat again the next day. There was no puncture so most likely there was a defect in the valve of the new tire. They still made me pay 15$ extra for labor. Also they did not screw the wheel back properly and had to return once again!
Shannon Malloy: Have been a customer for 2+ years. The staff recognize me by name every time I come in and are very transparent with pricing and repairs. I bought my first new bike from them and the process was wonderful. They let me test ride for as long as I wanted and were patient while I tested different versions. They have made minor quick repairs for me for free because they know I’m a repeat customer. Great friendly staff that put on group rides periodically and fun inventory!
Marcela Silveira: I stood there for 5 minutes not one employee greeted me. But the guy made sure to stop everything to talk when his friends showed up at store!?!? Bad customer service. That's why girl's don't like it there.
Sneha Sabu: The left brake of my bike was not working and I went to Cambridge Bicycle after seeing their reviews. I walked up to the guy at the reception and showed my problem. This guy just looked at the brake from over the counter and fixes it in a minute (without even moving from the counter). I was really impressed. Will definitely go there for bike repairs
Electryo Argyris: Hit or miss. You can see some people get charged $5 for 20 min. I got charged $20 for a bolt and 5 min of labor. I called ahead but it didn't help. I'm sure they're busy, and they're generally nice.
Michael Chunko: Prices are a bit high but they offer test rides and are very knowledgeable. Eddy was a great help.
Christopher Dedecko: I had both good and bad experiences. The staff is usually helpful, however the pricing is a bit expensive.
Jacob Lissoos: Don't be thrown off by the fact that their inventory is mostly city bikes, they can repair everything including the most high end road bikes. Very professional, they will always call you if the work runs over budget or calls for extra parts. As a bike DIY repair person, they are always happy to explain/teach repairs to me and provide free advice when I drop in, which I really appreciate. Very friendly too!
Mary Ladesic: Incredible customer service! Shoutout to Adam who spent over a half hour walking me through different options and recommendations for accessories and gear as a new bike commuter. Adam was so patient and helpful. My go to place for all things bike related!
Michael Luu: It's nice that they have free air and pumps supplied outside the store. However, when I came in to buy a single item the other day the front staff were not staffing the register at all. I waited for about 10-15 minutes and a staff member finally arrived. Before they even help me check in they had another customer cut in front of me. Instead of just being treated like that I decided to just leave. Pretty disappointing customer service experience.
Thomas Gschwendtner: Found what I needed for a reasonable price, a saddle. They also lent me an allen wrench to mount right here.
Michelle Han: I experienced really terrible customer service at Cambridge Bicycle. I was told by someone in the shop that they could build up a bike for me that I had requested and that they would call me as soon as it was built. 4 days later, I didn't receive a call, so I call myself to inquire and they told me the bike had SOLD and no one had even called me to tell me they finished building the bike?! To top it off, the staff were very unempathetic and rude and told me "well what do you want me to do". DO NOT go here if you want to be treated well and respected as a customer.
Kira Clingen: I came in with a flat tire that blew out in 20 seconds. I was told, repeatedly, that there was nothing wrong with my tire, it had to be a slow leak, and that I was wasting my time and money replacing it. Finally, the person repairing the tire asked if I wanted to take the tire and tube home, since there was "nothing wrong with it." I felt like an idiot explaining that the tire did not deflate slowly, it blew out, over and over again to different people at the shop. Sure enough, when the person went to put the tube into the bag, it deflated immediately. There was a huge piece of glass in it. Rough and borderline rude experience but the new tire and replacement was decent, if somewhat slow. Compared to REI, it's expensive, but the location is convenient.
Faisal Alnasser: Limited bike options. One of the employees was rude.
Aaron Throness: Visited the store today - the customer service staff were friendly, the store was in good order, and an impressive suite altogether. However, their pricing points are almost exclusively $1,000+, which far exceeded my range of affordability as a doctoral student looking for an affordable bicycle.
Raj Vinjamuri: Adam in sales and the folks in the shop do a great job of taking care of your needs.
Rhys Probyn: Extremely competent mechanics who are straightforward and honest; good inventory of parts, tools, tires, tubes, fenders, saddles, apparel etc.Spent some time in the shop awaiting repairs and observed them diagnosing multiple bikes. I agree with everything I heard and saw and felt like the mechanic was honest and each price quoted was fair. I know it stinks to spend $100-150 repairing a commuter bike that you bought for $300 - 500 but over time you're def saving money vs commuting by car or the T and probably saving lots of time. You can trust this crew to get the repair done right and from what I've seen give you a fair price. Don't forget they have to cover rent, salaries for competent mechanics and staff, tools/equipment, hold inventory, insurance etc. Its a tough business and it seems they manage it well in order to treat customers fairly. 100% would recommend
Stefan Unterhauser (dogi): There is this passive aggressive employee which always speaks down to me ..."Come back in 3 weeks"Not the language of service or solutionsSpecially since my relationship with store is already 8 years it hurts a lot
Sangwoon Kim: avoid this place. I went to repair a flat tire and the tire went flat the next morning even though I did not ride the bike after the repair. So I went to the shop again to do another repair, and they charged me the full price again, although it happened less than 24 hours since I got the previous repair. The staff was also very rude and unfriendly throughout the process. Irresponsible.

Cambridge Used Bicycles: what do users think?
Camila Kerwin: Spiros is the man!! Sooo nice. He made me feel reassured that the used bike I got could work for me. He adjusted my seat, checked out the fit, tightened the handlebars and was just generally so sweet. The shop has a great selection. I’ll be coming back!!
JB Alberge: Used to think it's a 5-star shop but within 2 years of the purchase I managed to break the freewheel, the pedals, the saddle, two tubes, and one tire of a single bike ... Which never happened on my other bikes. So I'm not so sure anymore. Chose your bike well!
italiahill77: Best of the best, Spiros and Ryan are wonderful, they build cool bikes for good prices and have good used parts. Best bike shop in metro Boston I’d say.
nick makemson: Spiro's has moved upstairs! After years of visiting in the antiques mall basement CUB is out of the cellar and into the garage! And a very nice garage it is. Spiro's has done a commendable job of fixing it up. I liked it so much I bought a bike there and still got a great deal.
Sunny Qin: Awesome place! Got my first bike here and the owner walked me through every detail and asked all my questions. They have excellent deals on second hand bikes!
Lorna Brundrett: Stopped during a ride for a new tire, Ryan was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend getting work done here or shopping for a used bike!
Giselle Aris: I had the best experience with Cambridge Used Bicycles, highly recommend! In addition to the fact that this is a great bike shop based on selection available, the customer service is unparalleled. To give you an idea: I was on my way home from a physical therapy appointment, planning to bike home, 25 weeks pregnant. Front tire was so flat even passersby were catching my attention to let me know. I called Cambridge Used Bicycles - having never been a customer of theirs, this was totally random - and asked if I could come over to get some air for my tires. Not only did Ryan say of course - he even offered to come meet me rather than me coming to the shop! Then, Ryan didn't just fill up my tires (both of them) - he did a bunch of other things to my bike as well that, as far as I'm concerned, was a bike tune up free of charge. You can't take this level of care and kindness for granted. Next time my family needs a bike, I know where we'll be going. Thank you, Ryan and Cambridge Used Bicycles! You made a hard day so much nicer.
Sharon Britton: My daughter and I went here to purchase a used bike for her birthday. Ryan waited on us and was fantastic. He was professional, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Best of all, we weren’t made to feel uncomfortable about our level of knowledge (as can happen in other shops), nor did we experience any pressure to buy. They have a small parking lot (convenient for parking and trying out a bike). We left with a used bike that my daughter loves. Highly Recommend!
Gabe Thornton: Great service. Knowledgeable staff. Great prices. All stores should operate like this.
roy pertchik: I love this classic old Cambridge institution, “Cambridge Used Bicycles,” now in a smarter glass fronted shop. I visited them a year and a half ago, with a plan to by a bike and bring it with me unassembled to Guatemala, where it would become my daily user. They helped me select a great urban 7 speed, and let me try a couple of sizes, and sent me off on my adventure with my bike in a box, and great support for fitting and adjusting it when I got down there. Now, just today, a year and a half later, when I returned to the shop, they remembered me, and continued to be as helpful as anyone could possibly hope for! Kind, knowledgeable, and offering some really cool bikes in all sorts of price ranges. Really an exceptional experience!
Madeleine Schwartz: Really great shop! Super knowledgeable and invested in getting you the right bike and teaching you how to keep good care of it! I tried out several bikes, riding around the parking lot until I found the one. Got a quick lesson on how to oil my chain, which was very helpful too. Came out with a ulock and bolts on my seat post and tires too. Highly recommend!
Ashwin Subramanian: Superb place and really nice crew - I got two bikes from this place, a Bilda Ravenel in 2021 and a Cannondale Evo today for a pretty fair price (it is the cheapest bike store in town for used bikes and for tune ups). Spiros and Ryan (the crew) were extremely patient and let me test at least 4 different bikes, made suggestions on the best bike for price and for the roads in Cambridge and Boston, and made sure I got every little detail on the bike fit to my preferences (seat height, handlebar to seat length, seat and handlebar angle etc.,). Ryan was particularly wonderful and spent an hour talking about to me about bikes as he fixed up my old bike, and offered tips on bike maintenance, and then made sure that my friend got his bike perfectly fit too.Easily the best place to purchase a bike (store has a shipment of used bikes every Friday/Saturday), and for bike service/maintenance. Can't recommend this store enough.
Matt Hirsch: Super friendly and helpful. Thanks!
Megan Root: The people here were great!! I'm not knowledgeable about bikes and needed something for short daily commutes. They helped me figure out what size and type of bike I needed and completely adjusted everything for me once I'd picked one out. $300 for a bike in great condition, way safer than using Facebook Marketplace and way cheaper than buying something new! 10/10 would recommend!!
Moshe Teutsch: Very helpful
Natalie Le: This place is great! There’s a neat selection of bikes, and the inventory is constantly changing (so even if they don’t have a bike for you on a particular day, in a week they might—that’s what happened in my case). The mechanics are also super friendly and helpful. Overall it was an awesome experience!
Huiying Yang: I only write reviews for places that is extremely nice or bad. This one is really really great. My husband and I went there twice. First time he bought a bike. Second time I did. The service here is fantastic. The staffs are very experienced and professional on the recommendations based on our needs. And We learned a lot about bike from Ryan. It was a wonderful experience with great conversations. Highly recommended!
Emma Luymes: My bike is in pretty sad shape. I took it in to get an estimate of what it would cost to make it work again. The guy was very helpful and went over what needed to be repaired with an honest price point. He also oiled up my chain and tightened my brakes just to help me get home. Thank you Cambridge Used Bicycles!!
Patrick Schwarz: An amazing bike shop with an incredibly helpful and kind staff. A true gem of Cambridge-- don't miss out!
Josh Gettings: Highly recommend if you are looking for a used or new bike in the Cambridge/Somerville/Boston area. Ryan was extremely informative, especially for someone like me who knows little to nothing about biking. He let me take the bike for a test ride before buying and he adjusted my seat and brakes before I took off. I definitely plan to return if there is anything wrong with my bike and for regular tune-ups. Would definitely check out the shop if you are local!
Max Hülsey: One of the most amazing bike places I have ever been to. Very reasonably priced bikes with great guys doing the repairs and refurbishments. While their assortment of bikes is somewhat limited they will make sure to get your type of bike as quickly as they can. Highly recommend checking this place out!

CrimsonBikes: what do users think?
Shane Woolley: I’ve gotten service so rude here I started to think, hey, maybe we’re actually friends… heard they’re maybe shutting down?
Kevin Brant: 3 years later, and still no bike. Not sure they are even in business anymore? Goodbye 500 bucks.
Charlie Caron: I dropped my bike off here for a minor tune-up over a month ago, after a couple emails over the first two weeks they have completely stopped responding to calls and emails. I've now sent 8 unanswered emails and have had to make a scheduled move out of state (that they were aware of) without my bike. It's also impossible for any of my friends to go in the store to check because hours are constantly changing and they always seem to be closed. I don't care about the repair anymore, I would just like to get my bike back!
Nicholas Dow: I bought a bike from them over three years ago. On the way back to school my mom reminded me that I have bike at school that has never worked right, and asked why I never returned it. The bike delivery is so delayed that students get the bike when they are so busy that they don't have time to return it or it's the middle of summer. I ordered the bike at the beginning of the year and it was delivered in the dead of winter during finals season. The quality of the bike was bad. You can probably get something better from Walmart.
Geo P: Scam shop
Steven Cohen: Don't expect much. They don't have in-house mechanics so you can't get a quick check before deciding on a service. Fine place to buy stuff, just don't service your bike there.
Voy Lewis: 3 Years Later, Still STAY AWAY! Please stay far away from Crimson bikes. I bought a bike from them in June that I was supposed to get in July of 2020!! They finally offered me a refund in October which they keep giving me the run around and it is now JULY and I haven't got my money which I worked hard for or the bike which was supposed to be a gift... This company is not trustworthy. I advise anyone reading this to stay away from this company. I'll update this review if I get my money back... which is all I want.Edit: it's now 2022 and they have not refunded or reached out to me. This place is a scam, stay away.
Sullymar Torres: Never received my bike neither money back!!They are a fraud!!
Andrew Hanley: Incredibly rude as always, never open on time. Sucks this is one of the only bike shops in Harvard
Manfred Phemister: Excellent customer service, great value!
Tizzy Beck: First time leaving a review for a bike shop. The absolute worst interaction I have ever had in my life. Awful awful customer service. I champion small businesses, however I hope this one closes down.
Samuel Bosch: I don't know what's happening with this them, but they seem to have gone out of business. I went there like 5 times during their normal opening times, and there is nobody there. At least put a sign up that the store is closed...
Mei Smyers: NEVER RECEIVED A BIKE OR A REFUNDI placed an order for a bike over 2 years ago. After a few days I was able to get a bike elsewhere so I decided to cancel my order with Crimson Bikes. They said they could provide me a refund and then a refund never came and they stopped responding to my emails. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!After 2 years they recently contacted me saying they are currently in a legal battle (21-10278-JEB in the Courts of MA). I don't know when this will be resolved or if I will ever get a refund.
Nat Tarbox: Was able to drop off my bike for a simple repair and get it back 30 minutes later. Lot of shops in the area have 2+ week wait times for service, so really appreciated being able to get that done.
Kathi Tighe: I'm sadly changing my positive review of Crimson Bikes to a negative review. I took my bike there a long time ago and had a great experience. Recently my spouse took his bike in for simple repairs based, on my glowing recommendation. He was given a date by which the repairs would be complete, but that date came and went with no progress to complete the repairs. He contacted the shop numerous times, and each time was told they 'hadn't begun working on it, but would start today'. After several such delays, my spouse decided to take his bike back without the repairs. This is sad - there's no reason for such poor customer service!
Katie Rivero: Awful company. I ordered my bike online in August of 2020. Kept getting told there were delays due to covid. Understandable. Months and months passed and still no delivery update. Finally decided to ask for a refund to which they stated they could not provide and I needed to go through my CC company. Well too much time had passed for that to happen. They have since stopped responding to emails and no on at the store knows anything about online orders. Horrible customer service. Do NOT buy from them!
Gerben Scherpbier: I'm so grateful to Daisy who helped me find and order a unique part that I was struggling to find elsewhere. The staff went out of their way to help me find a solution-- many thanks!
TK Vasbinder: This is a terrible company to do business with. Dont do it. Today is 01/06/2021. Guess when i ordered my bikes? 8/27/2020 and i dont have them yet. If you want your money back you will have to get a form from them and take it to your bank and dispute the charges. I would like to tell all, but its too much to type. I have wasted enough of my time dealing with company. UPDATE 04 January 2022, no bike and now they are in arbitration and no refunds and no bike. This company is a scam for online orders. They have had $500 of my money since August 27, 2020. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!
Swetamber Das: Staffs are nice and friendly. They helped me to choose the perfect bike per my requirements and budget. It's also a great place for tune-ups and repairs. I highly recommend Crimson bikes.
Raul Duarte Gonzalez: Don't trust their time estimates for repairs and tune-ups. In fact, if you don't follow up with them they might even forget to put your bike in the queue and your bike waits at their building without any use. I was promised that the bike would be serviced in time before I leave for the holidays. I come back to them 2 days after when they promised me they would get it done and they mention that the bike was not put in the queue and that I still need to wait more time.If you do end up going here, make sure to follow up with the store in a few hours to make sure they give you a schedule and follow up constantly with them otherwise they will conveniently forget their promised timeTheir repair/tune-up service is OK once they actually get to it. But I am now seriously considering going to another bike repair shop in Cambridge which makes sure to put their bikes on the repair queue and actually keeps their word on their scheduled times
Joshua Arnold: Crooks. Sold me a bike, never delivered, never responded. The worst kind of company. Be warned, stay away.

Trek Bicycle Cambridge: what do users think?
Santo Dimino: Zach provided great service and feedback. He helped me figure out the best options to upgrade my Fuel EX 7. Decided to upgrade handle bar, stem, grips, saddle. Zach is very knowledgeable, you can tell he’s passionate about bikes & educating other riders. Went to pick up my bike yesterday, couldn’t be happier with the results! Looking forward to riding all year and coming back to Trek Cambridge for service, parts, and more!
akhil prasad: Great service!! Friendly staff
Camilo233: Hoy compramos nuestras bicicletas allá, la de mi esposa y la mía, el servicio fue muy bueno y la atención también, ahora esperaremos a esta semana que nos hagan la entrega 👍🏻🚴🏻‍♂️
Alec Waddelow: Solid experience today. Had tubeless installed within 45 mins of arriving at the store. Knowledge mechanic helped answer unrelated questions. Will be coming back for future maintenance work.
Hunter Biliouris: Robbie and the team were extremely helpful getting me setup with a new road bike and gear to get rolling! Very happy with the overall experience!
Alan Alves: 110% Support from Erick and Robbie. (sorry if name spelling it wrong)I went in to buy a new bike. My problem was I was riding a frame too large for my height. Robbie helped me find the perfect bike, explained eevvvvvverything about the bike and answered my questions. Didn't once offer to sell me the bike, just gave me a quote. Which in turn I felt comfortable and made a purchase the very next day. Erick helped me with all questions I had after the bike was assembled and talked to me all about maintenance I needed to be aware of. Great staff. Good looking store, organized and clean.I didn't see anything I disliked.
Spanish Pulga: Clean, professional and courteous staff.
Mark Godek: Staff was super helpful with my bike fit.
Sean Moran: Super friendly and helpful service
Sam Oates: Excellent and friendly service
Maria Voloh: The absolute best shopping experience I’ve had. I was looking for a bike that was fast and light, with manual groupset but with an integrated cockpit and Trek Cambridge had the right bike for me. They even accepted a return on a trek bike I purchased elsewhere and credited the full amount towards the new bike. Will 100% be back and recommend them to all my rider friends.
Amanda Rychel: Excellent service department. Fair pricing, quality work, fast turnaround. They will work on any bike - non-Trek and cargo bike friendly.
Drew Zuik: I am a huge fan of the products and the service that I have received at the Trek store location in Cambridge Alewife brook Pkwy. Zack has been truly great when going over what is needed and what not. All of the staff there has been really nice to be honest, I just happen to interact with him on an extensive level because of going over the needs of my bike etc. I have no need to look in any other direction for my biking needs. Thank you much everyone!!
Teddy Svoronos: Incredibly friendly and welcoming, excellent service. I look forward to every time I need to go here!
Tom Judge: Great customer service!!
JOAQUIM DEARAUJO: I have never encountered a more helpful bicycle service department and one so generous with their time. The service technician was willing to perform work on my bike while I waited and spent at least 30 minutes on that work all for NO CHARGE, and they did so on my non-Trek bike!!!
Mark McClary: Had a problem with my rear shock on my 2020 Trek Rail 7 @ 9000 miles, they got a rebuild kit and had me back on the road to continue my quest.
Jackson Vara: Trek Cambridge rocks! One of the best experiences I have ever had at a bike shop. Eric and Addison were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me get the parts that I need. 5 stars!
Aaron Diaz: The customer service and service team at Trek Cambridge has been patient, polite, and informative with me. I purchased my bike new In another state before moving here. I now see that my bike was likely not properly assembled. The team at Trek Cambridge has nonetheless helped every step of the way from minor adjustments to honoring warranty. Extremely thankful to be this close to a great and supportive staff. Shout out to Zack and the service team!
Larry Kim: helped my boys get their first bicycles. made adjustments to the training wheels and seats and everything else.
Kayleigh McCabe: Everyone who works at Trek in Cambridge is so kind and knowledgeable!

Bicycle Belle: what do users think?
Elena L. Glassman: They are the best! When another shop told me that my new hand-me-down petite women's bike was too small to put a rack on, I brought it over to Bicycle Belle. They immediately recognized the old frame's brand (famous for their women-specific designs) and were thrilled to work on it. They promptly confirmed that a rack could be mounted, which increases its utility for commuting home with some groceries. When I picked it up a couple days later after work, I didn't notice until right after Belle closed that a brake cable wasn't sitting right. I left a message after hours and Sawyer (I hope I spelled his name right!) called right back because he hadn't left yet. Since I was nearby I was able to bring it back in a few minutes and he fixed it---and explained why it had happened, how to fix it again, and what replacement part would make it happen less often in the future and make the brakes less twitchy. He also took off the old plastic foot cages that we both agreed were a safety hazard, which he explained didn't actually help me go any faster. Finally, he adjusted the seat so I get extra power out of each push. Now my daily commute feels so much better, and it's particularly nice to know that my local shop appreciates my little bike like I do. :)
Keita Matsumoto: Great neighbourhood bike shop. Always helpful, speedy and friendly service.
Carroll Eastman: Super helpful staff and a really great store!
Dan Elton: Friendly and very helpful staff. They have mostly new bikes and a few refurbished.
Samuel Sessions: Ran into two of the employees after my bike was having some real trouble on the side of the road, took my bike by their shop a few days later and they totally remembered me and were happy to help, they had my bike fixed in half an hour super quick
Samuel Filmeyer: Very knowledgeable and helpful, especially if you want a way to attach a child to a bike or are looking at cargo bikes.
Emily Wang: Very nice and helpful
Moshe Poliak: Bicycle Belle is my favorite bike shop. I first came here when I moved to Somerville, but now I'll go here even when I move away. I got great service for a good price when needed to replace parts in my bike, along with tips about bike maintenance and safety. They are fair and helpful, and when I needed to straighten my steering wheel they helped me and didn't even charge me anything. On top of everything else, they are a local business, and that's worth supporting. 5/5
G L-N: Super helpful and kind no matter how big or small the problem is! They’re really amazing and care about educating their customers as well!! 10/10
Alexandre Jenni: Friendly and competent
Jan-Tajo Fittkau: Wonderful store. Great service.
Hanna Soumerai Rea, she, her, they: I have had two experiences recently where the staff have been soo rude. I called a few weeks ago to ask a question about a particular e-bike and the staff interrupted me and said in a harsh tone, “I don’t know every bike..I really don’t have time for this.” I have a close friend who loves this place and recommended it so I gave them another shot. I went in with my new e-bike that was giving me some trouble. I thought going in the store may he better than calling. Plus, I had tried earlier in the day with no answer. I walked in and before I could say anything one of the staff said, “I have no time for walk ins” again in a rude tone. Another staff overheard and asked what I needed and then quickly said they couldn’t help me. It’s fine. They don’t service the bike I have but the whole experience was gross. I have spent a lot of time in bike shops where people are nice and helpful. It’s fine to be busy but a kinder tone would have gone a long way. A customer overheard the whole thing and suggested I try the bike shop next door. She was more helpful than any of the staff. The staff said it was unlikely another bike shop would service my bike and she was right but again the tone makes a big difference.
Sam Miller: Super nice people! All of their prices are good too (no makeups above what it costs to order from manufacturer, plus you don't have to build it!)
Memento Mori: Knowledgable and helpful staff, too nice for their own good! Quality commuter bikes and accessories, overall great shop.
JI RL: Travelled from far and they were exceptionally closed for the day. It wasnt posted on their website or social media. Waste of time
Leah Warren: THE place in town for all of your cargo biking needs. Bonus: woman owned and women operated!
Donna Leclerc: Great service! The only store that could help me get the bike trailer that fit our needs.
Daniel Ruth: My partner and I had such an amazing experience at Bicycle Belle. We traveled fromRhode Island to this cute little corner shop in Boston because they had the model bicycle we were looking for. They were very responsive on Instagram and were absolutely delightful in person. Our salesperson was very knowledge and relaxed and welcoming of questions. Love that it’s female-operated, as well. Could not recommend this adorable small business more!
John Glagola: Helped me in a pinch. Excellent quick service. 10/10 would recommend.
Jan Marie O (Jan Marie): Thank you for existing! Thank you for being owned and operated by WOMEN. Thank you for stocking products to support growing FAMILIES. And thanks for letting me test drive a variety of electric bikes! Without this I would never have known the singular joy that is the Bosch electric motor system, or that I never want to own a bakfiet, which I was so jazzed on before the trial.Carice is super nice and helpful and knowledgeable, and deserves every success!I only wish you had less proprietary hours during the pandemic. Can’t wait til you’re open to the public again! :)
Thomas Davidson: Stellar service and price! I've relocated my bike shop fidelity. Goodbye, Davis Square. Hello, Beacon Street.

Seven Cycles: what do users think?
Mark W: I have been trying for over a month to contact Seven about a repair on my titanium Seven. There has been no response to my call, email, online request form, or my dealer's call to them. Looks like I will never be a repeat customer for them.
Samuel Pyeatte: I have owned a Seven Axiom for 23 years. Ordering the frame was nerve racking because of the way the process works. I went to the local Seven dealer and talked to a salesman who asked me a lot of questions about my riding style and experience. Since I was recovering from a shoulder injury, I hadn't been riding regularly while I was in rehabilitation. I also had bone disease at the time and had just been given the go ahead to start riding again. So it kind of messed up their normal way of fitting a frame for a new customer because I didn't have a recent riding history. I could only tell them that I planned to ride century rides and 100k rides. So the salesman thought that I needed a soft frame with a mild geometry for someone who didn't ride much. He rode crits himself and treated me arogantly as though I wasn't up to his level. Finally, after much haggling, I agreed to let them build the bike even though I was afraid that I was getting what that salesman thought that I needed and not the bike that I wanted. I ended up riding it about 200 miles a week that summer. It was okay. It wasn't as soft as I had feared that it would be. Seven apparently listened to me and not the salesman. But a month after I started riding it, the bottom bracket developed a click. I always thought that it was the bike shop's fault because they did a poor job of assembling the bike. I ended up having another mechanic rebuild the bike. But now, after watching videos about bottom brackets by Hambini, I'm starting to think that the click was caused because the frame is flexing and allowing the bearings to go out of alignment. Anyway. I'm really upset because when I decided to strip my frame and have it rebuilt with a new group set they wouldn't even talk to me. So rude and so arrogant. Like an owner of a 23 year old frame wasn't worth their time. Avoid them. Buy your next bicycle the traditional way. Test ride them and buy the one that feels right, not the bike that some arrogant bike company thinks that you should have.
Carol's Yogi Tribe: My Seven is over 20 years old and it has been the best investment for myself. Looking forward to upgrading to Titanium in the near future. Awesome bike. Thank you Seven!
neil Rudo: I have three Seven's of varying age from 22 years to 3 years. They are all works of art and a joy to ride. The bikes are more "forgiving" over rough road than my TREK Domane with isospeed. Seven's are an investment worth every penny.
Mark Kabbash: Simply the North Eastern USA finniest hand built titanium bicycle. I have owned the Vacanza TROUBLE FREE for 20 years. I smile every time I ride it. If you are thinking about a new frame just get one of these beautiful pieces of high performance ART!
Matthias W.: The welding is a work of art. The ride feel is something else. SC were recommended to me by an engineer and after years of heavy use I can say it is was the best recommendation. I‘ve owned many makes and materials, tested others over the years, this is the best you can get.
Chris Munonye: I'm completely smitten by my new Evergreen SL ERSA. Yesterday, I took out the bike for a nice first ~60mi ride and rode a diverse course: some road (flat, climbing, downhill) and plenty of gravel (fire roads, single tracks). Absolutely remarkable how fun it is to ride on any terrain! I've always heard nothing but praise about Seven Ti custom builds, but the actual ride experience far surpassed my expectations.Seven has been super helpful and responsive throughout the build process. If you're considering a customTi bike, I can't imagine a better end-2-end experience than going with Seven
G: If i could give 10 stars !! i would. Love my race IMX built in 08. Took more then a few wins in XC racing !!! words can not describe the feelings.
Kyle Tripp: This is not a bicycle shop, though Neil was helpful and pointed out others in the area.

Belmont Wheelworks: what do users think?
Mark Miller: I bought a Specialized Turbo Creo SL Expert EVO bike (it's an e-bike) from Belmont Wheelworks (BW) at the end of February. I had trouble locating this bike at any bike shops in Massachusetts but BW had three of them in stock (M, L, and XL) so I was psyched to check the bike out in person. I bought the bike (well over $10K with tax) when I went to their Trapelo Road location to look the bike over and bought several biking-related items (Garmin bike computer, headlight, shoes, tool bag, bike fitting, seat, etc.). The bike purchasing experience was great. I worked with Scott, who was very friendly and patient and knew tons about the model I was purchasing as well as about e-bikes. I spent $100 for a fitting appointment and Jack handled that and ensured I got fitted to the new bike with the new shoes I had purchased. I had an issue with the bike I purchased being put on sale by Specialized for $750 less – I called BW to ask if they would refund me the difference (this was 2-3 weeks after I purchased the bike) and the person I spoke with was aghast that anyone would ask for a refund like this. Less than a week later Clint from Belmont Wheelworks left me vmail apologizing for the confusion about getting the $750 sale price difference refunded and stated that he would be issuing a credit to my credit card for the $750 plus tax. I was very happy to hear this! I was so thrilled that I returned to BW to purchase tire repair tools + sealant for the tires on my new Creo (and spent another $87). Clint was not available during my last visit so I was unable to thank him in person but hopefully he sees this and knows that I greatly appreciate him working with me on this issue.I also want to mention that there is a H-U-G-E selection of bikes at BW - the biggest I've seen since International Bike had a store in Allston in the nineties so if you are looking for a new bike, I would recommend you stopping at BW. I love the Specialized brand and to me they have the best and biggest selection of Specialized bikes I have ever seen. I went to Landry Bikes in Braintree before I purchased my Turbo Creo from BW and they worked very hard to sell me a Trek bike at a similar price point but my research and personal experience showed that the Specialized is a MUCH better bike. BW also has an excellent selection of shoes, seats, helmets, tubes, tires, repair kits, headlights, Garmin computers and tons of other gear for bikers of all descriptions. Some of the clothes I saw were very expensive ($200 for a pair of biking shorts???) but the selection is quite large and I would venture to guess that you can find anything you need for your biking workouts/excursions/commutes/whatever during one visit to BW. I will be taking my bike there as soon as I get ~150 miles on it for a free tune-up and I am looking forward to seeing how their service department is (I am sure they are top notch).
Arshag Tchobanian (SonoftheSergeant): I met with Ed Sassler. It was great experience and he was extremely knowledgeable. I will def return and recommend friends/family. Thank you!
Jeff Gabriele: Incredibly happy with my essential bike fit with Ed. Ed is clearly a master at his trade, quickly watching me ride and methodically making tweaks to my set-up and observing the changes. The before and after for me has been incredible with any discomfort that I used to have in my neck and knees eliminated.
Nicolai Cauchy: When they're not overly busy, the Service/Parts guys are super. During yesterday's frigid temps, with no other customers, Ben took a serious look at my antique Fox Vanilla shock and photos of my Judy Rock Shox XC fork, both of which I'd like to replace in order to once again ride my 1994 Specialized FSR. He took careful notes and I await an email with whatever options their service department might be able to propose.Friendly, knowledgeable, and not commercially aggressive - outside of the rush hours and season...but I suppose that's one side effect of success.
Felix G: Great service and an incredible selection of (high end) bikes!
Douglas Chin: The staff worked with us on our tandem to make our bike fit much better
Jorge Chavez: I was desperately looking for the Thule fit kit all over the place, both online and locally after Thule said they discontinued the part for my Lexus GS350. The reason I say desperately is because we had a road trip to Colorado at the end of November and without that piece nothing can be put on. I quickly got ahold of Wheelworks when I found out that they had it in stock. They took care of me fast. Thank you guys, all the way from Texas!
Brock Christopherson: I had a bike fitting with Ed and it feels like a completely different bike. He has decades of experience and it shows. He was very informative of what was being changed and why it needed changing. He also taught me how to properly pedal. He explained how to use various muscle groups and helped me visualize and feel the difference. I came away with a great fitting bike and knowledge of how to better use it. 10/10
GabrieleTruckingLLC: Great bikes great staff
Jacob Walsh: Got a bike fit with Jack. Night a day feeling in my riding after. Prior to the fit I had knee pain and the bike didn't feel natural but after The fit I'm comfortable and able to ride for longer.
Michael Rochford: Rude and unhelpful.
Josh Simonds: Great few hours with Jack Wagner doing a Retul Precision fit. And walked out with a bike … Very pleased with my time at Belmont Wheelworks!
Andrew Salvo: During a bike ride through Belmont and Watertown, my chain snapped on my mtn bike and I had been here before for service so decided to walk to it to see if I could get it fixed. Knowing it was close to closing time I figured it would be at least a day to get it fixed. Fortunately, one of the service staff was able to help me out and replace the chain and cassette on the spot and was able to walk out in 20 minutes. The bike rode great on the way out. Thank you for your excellent service and skilled service staff!
Erin Teetshorn: Injured or had surgery and think biking isn't for you?? It is with Wheel Works!! Ed is a phenomenal bike fitter and extremely experienced fitting bikes for people with previous injuries, surgeries or other issues that make biking difficult. I thought biking was simply not in the cards for me, and other shops basically just told me to keep trying bikes until I liked one. Ed did a fitting before I bought to help me pick the right bike for my unique issues and did another fitting when it arrived to make sure it was perfect. I've never been more comfortable on a bike and have finally been able to enjoy I sport I thought I could never do. Thanks Ed for making cycling possible for me!
Roland Ouellette: Great LBS. Range of bikes, parts and help.
Clare McDermott: Took me a full year to write this review because I was so shocked at how I was treated that I questioned whether it had really happened. We have shopped at this store for nearly 20 years. Over those years we have purchased at least 8 bikes plus a lot of gear. (We are a family of 6 and have purchased multiple adult and kids bikes. Both my husband and I were bike commuters before COVID.) There is one person at this store who is always nice, patient and helpful -- I believe he's the owner, but I'm not 100% sure. The person who helped us last time, however, was rude. I've encountered him before but he was in rare form this time. I walked in to spend a lot of money on a gravel bike. The salesperson was answering my questions with 1 to 5 word answers (e.g. "No." "I have no idea." "It depends."). Most of the time he was staring at a screen and could not even lift his head to speak to me. His tone conveyed pure annoyance. The bikes I was interested were not in stock (understandable). He told me the only way I could order one was to check the Wheelworks website every day until one showed up. I asked: How long do you expect this will go on? His response: It could be a week, it could be 6 months. So in other words: I need to check their website daily for months to see whether I'm the lucky winner of a new bike? That's nutty. The entire interaction lasted less than 10 minutes because he was as helpful as a houseplant. This was not a supply chain problem; it was a salesperson problem. I was more than willing to wait 8+ months to get a bike. But this guy behaved like I had to grovel for it. I don't remember his name but he wears one of those racing caps.A week after this experience, I walked into another shop where the person listened to what I was looking for, offered useful advice, and then even offered to bring her personal bike in so I could test it out and see if it was the right option for me (since they didn't have the model in stock). The impression I get from Wheelworks is that unless you are a lycra-wearing gearhead, you're not welcome to give them your money. I won't be shopping here again.
Axel Zecena: Popped in on a lunch break. I was in and out in 45 min. Michael was very helpful and hooked me up with a new bike. Love it. All the staff I dealt with was very friendly.
Isaac Van Wesep: I have been getting bicycle parts and service from Belmont Wheelworks for almost 10 years. Boston is fortunate to have many great bike shops, and the staff at Belmont Wheelworks are as welcoming and knowledgeable as the best of them. I’m leaving this review because recently the people at Belmont Wheelworks took things to another level. Last week Nick helped me source the parts for a bicycle frame I had purchased used off the Internet. From my perspective this is the type of project that no bike shop really wants and which most bike shop staff would want to avoid. But Nick helped me get it done. He did a great job handling me and all of my concerns and questions about what parts to use on the bike, and the project came together pretty dang quick. The build is fantastic: exactly what I asked for, within my target price range, and the mechanic who built the bike did great work. Thanks Nick!
Cathy Marczyk: My husband needed a freehub body for his Stan's wheel. The one he needed was out of stock everywhere in the United States, except for here. I spoke with someone in the store who said I could have it if I came to pick it up, because this was not an item they shipped. Wheelworks is a four-hour drive from where I live, but I was desperate to get this, so I ordered it online on a Sunday evening. I called the store on Monday to see when it would be ready for pickup, and explained to the online order associate that I had an 8-hour round-trip commute, so I was trying to plan it to be there as soon as possible. He told me they were getting the order ready and would send me a text to let me know. Five minutes later he called back and told me he would be willing to ship it if I paid the postage. Two days later the part arrived in the mail! I am grateful beyond words for their above and beyond customer service. They made my day! What a wonderful company!
Charles Coldwell: Great LBS
Camillo Santomero: Employees are so unbelievably rude and think they are better than everyone else.
