Charles River Canoe & Kayak : Nahanton Park, Newton: what do users think?
Daniel Lupu: Great services normal prices and ample of parking
Cecile Braun-Jones: Book in advance of you can bit easy to get set up on site too.Small parking lot right there butbtjer are two other lots close by for overflow.Clean bathrooms
Jake Russell: Excellent place to go kayaking. They offer multiple types of kayaks, canoes, stand up paddle boards, and even paddle boats. The Boston Paddle season pass is a great deal for anyone who loves to be out on the water all summer long.
Union ZERO: Outrageous prices😑
Katrin Ony: The nature was beautiful and soothing.
Robert Barrett: Loved being here it makes you feel like you're in the middle of wilderness but you're only 10 miles from downtown Boston!
Brian Watson: This is easily my favorite location to kayak. Quiet and calm, and lots of nature. Highly recommend checking it out. The dirt overflow lot can be a little hard to find your first go, so maybe look it up first.
Aarti Jajoo: Very helpful and professional people. Learn something new about kayaking every time I go there. Beautiful place to kayak, and a great place to see wild life.
Jamison Bourque: Great service, nice people.
wei zhang: Very nice place for entertainment on water
Maria Brooks: I love this place for kayaking. Very pleasant staff, check-in and checkout is easy. I kayaked in both directions and I found going towards Newton smoother than West Roxbury. However, I saw more wildlife going towards West Roxbury. Regardless, I enjoy kayaking along this part of the Charles and I highly recommended this location.
Andres Quintero: The staff was not to nice like they dident want to be there
Lux Llama Productions: Great place to go kayaking! Helpful staff and great store
L: I like this place :) Friendly staff and a beautiful stretch of the river (State Conservation Land).
Mabel Zhang: Shallow waters in many spots, relaxing day out, wildlife to observe, picnic tables to sit before and after to wind down. More popular location than a few others of Paddle Boston. During COVID, weekend reservations were starting to fill up three days before, whereas other locations are empty until the day before.
Michael Lank: Sprayed everything down with sanitize
Ethan M: Easy sign up. Friendly staff gets you off and paddling down the river quickly. Online reservations are a snap.
Nir Melamoud: ok
Didi Dotan: The service is awesome, but the river at this point is quite dirty, with water being shallow. I paddle board a lot there, but you need to look where you are going not to run aground.
ahmad ramzi: Enjoyable time with kids
Matt Reid: Not the best part of the river to go canoeing or kayaking.pretty shallow not particularly interesting. But a great option if the in the city places are unusable due to sewage overflow.

Charles River Canoe and Kayak: Waltham, Moody Street.: what do users think?
Calvin Hobbs: Great kayaking & Great staff.
Lingyu Zhou: Very friendly staff and affordable season pass. You can enjoy wild life, and friendly neighborhood along Charles river.Kudos to the guy who distributes water on the river bank. I did not take one. But the kindness adds to the kayaking experience.
Carson Ca: My wife and I rented a tandem kayak for an hour (perfect amount of time). We enjoyed a leisurely trip up and down the Charles. Saw lots of lilly pads and ducks - even a beautiful white swan. The staff were very helpful.
Jake Pereira: What’s not to like about a Sunday morning boat session on the Charles, several locations make it easy to get on at whatever point suits you best. I’d avoid the paddle boats… not because they are dirty or broken only because it is a lot more effort to move them than you think!
Matthew Lincoln: Nice, quiet, beautiful area. Enjoyed myself emmensley. Will be kayaking again soon.
Elisa Rondon: Beautiful 💕place
Naveen Varma: A bit expensive
erin ohearn: Beautiful paddle
Donal Waide: Professional careful staff, every single one of them.
Carnival of Flavors: Serene place and a relaxing experience during the summers for kayaking
Meenakshi Shinde: I did kayak-ing in many places. But this one was best of all. Charges are reasonable, 22 USD for one hr two person kayak. Great service by great people. There are many white and yellow Lilly flowers in river here. After distance of about 600meters kayak-ing, there clam and silent spot. It feels heavenly.
Tim Nguyen: Nice place to rent out kayaks.
Adam Miller: These guys are awesome! Went kayaking for both work and with my girlfriend and the team was helpful and experienced. Also, the prices are great for such a great adventure.
Sarah Myotte: Super friendly staff. Great experience for the whole family.
amjad dwikat: Amazing.. I would advise everyone to come and try this amazing experience
Jalene Regassa: It is enjoyable. Relaxing! A nice area with good views.
Michael Sutherland: Very friendly staff
Chuck Bunting: Nice easy paddle
Lacy Berman: Really unique way to see the city or escape it, depending on which of their many locations you choose. Great staff, accommodation for all levels of paddling experience with a range of boat choices. Take advantage if the Groupon season pass deal and paddle all season for one crazy low price.
Mr. B B: the season pass is a great deal, especially of youre eligible for a discount
Marlinis Bonilla: Encantada

Boating in Boston at Spot Pond: what do users think?
Mary Shannon: We've had a season pass here for several years and the location can't be beat. However, the equipment is in poor repair and literally unusable in certain cases - we had counted on being able to access a specific type of kayak, and they had ONE working one - the other ones were all broken (and it was in use, meaning a family member couldn't even participate). It's a shame that they can't or won't invest in their equipment.
Fin: epic camp broski
A Gadre: The staff are wonderful. Spot Pond Lake is a wonderful place to Kayak. We plan on going more often and will probably get a pass for 2023.
Andy Philpotts: First time dinghy sailing, so I took a private lesson here. I really enjoyed it, and learnt a lot. Sailing is limited at Spot Pond so there is masses of space to make your newbie mistakes, the water is clean, and the instructor I had was great. I will be back for another lesson real soon!
Lisa Spires: Beautiful day! It's soooo relaxing
Chris Robichaud: Rented a canoe for 2 hours and explored the pond, great date activity in nice weather!
Babatunde Omotosho: Chuck was awesome today. Great customer service.
Haoxuan Wang: Nice water and not many people.
melanie kaplan: Had a great time, both girls that helped me, I think their names were Olivia and Lola, were so kind and helpful when getting into the boats. Me and my five kids had a blast! Totally recommend! 😎
Lola Berrigan: The staff are soooooo strong and good looking and smart
Charles DeMayo: Amazing service
Aaron Gaudette: Great area with enough diversity to kayak your mood. Little islands throughout and pretty large.
Brian Keogh: Go to mystic lake instead. Better price, better experience, and more knowledgeable staff.
L H: Thank you, Mary, and amazing Spot Pond staff for being a highlight of my summer. What a wonderful escape to be out on the water in one of your boats. Appreciate all you did to make this happen for us all!
Jess Thrasher: safely managed, excellent opportunity to get out and get some exercise without being around a crowd. great birdwatching, too.
Logan: This review is written during the COVID-19 pandemic (August 2020). The safety precautions Boating in Boston at Spot Pond took to ensure our wellbeing and have as little interaction with other customers was impressive. This place has a great plan in place and I felt very comfortable signing in and getting my reserved kayak so I could enjoy a beautiful summer afternoon at Spot Pond. Super glad to have a place like this so close to home (Melrose, MA).
Kathryn Kevorkian: If you want or need better back support when kayaking, they can accommodate.
Morris Yen: Pleasant kayaking experience. Will go again.
Faisal Al-Shemaimry: Beautiful place to paddle, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Due to Covid, they're only renting boats to people who make a reservation in advance.
Jusny Mackenson Louis-Jean: Beautiful place to go to spend in afternoon in family by the water. Place is clean. Also you can go kayaking.
Michael Andriopoulos: Awesome place love the sailing! If you have sea tow just know they do NOT serve this area.
