Rand Abu Al-Sha'r: I took my cashmere coat here after an accidental matcha spill which caused a stain that was very hard to remove. It was a very difficult stain to deal with but they dry cleaned the coat not once but twice to make sure all traces of the stain were gone and were very helpful at talking me through it.
Lenore Cummings: I wish it had occurred to me to take before and after photos! I brought in a set of polka dot, sheer curtains (which I love) that had a large, black, oily stain the length of one panel from a poorly burning, smoking kerosene lamp. The owner wasn't sure if it could be removed, but said he would try his best. He cleaned them himself in-store and had to clean them three times, but was totally successful! Julia Paolillo: I’ve never had a bad experience at Huron, and I’m posting because I’m disappointed to see people calling the owner “aggressive” in reviews. I had an experience once where I was told that my clothes would be ready by 5 on a given day, but came in at noon just to see, as I wanted to wear one of the items that night. I wasn’t particularly polite, and the owner was much nicer to me than I deserved. If anything, this situation should have prompted the “aggressive” attitude others posted about, but I got nothing but polite, respectful responses as he explained why my clothes weren’t ready. I almost didn’t go back because I was so embarrassed by my own behavior, but I’m so glad that I did. As some have noted you’ll pay more here than other spots around Cambridge, but you’ll also get a better product (pants and shirts aren’t overly ironed, nothing comes back with staples in the tags as at other places). I love the student discount and don’t mind paying up front for it - makes pickup a lot easier too!
lene: I am a long term customer over many years and it is about time I wrote a review of this family owned business in my neighborhood. The premises are attractive and very clean. I use for all my general clothing dry cleaning and have also used for wash, dry, fold and winter storage in the past. The services are of the highest quality, and always ready when promised. Hours are convenient and prices quite reasonable. The owner always goes the extra mile. In the rare occasions when something needs to be re done, this happens with no problem. Cal Brooks: Went here because the signs and other reviews said they did next day or even same day dry cleaning, but when I asked about it they told me they no longer do that due to covid, so I had to leave and go somewhere else. For some additional detail, I came in around 11am and he said he could have it done by 4pm the next day, which didn't work for my timeline.I also had to wait for like 5 minutes because they couldn't find another customers items. They eventually found them, but it didn't inspire a ton of confidence.I didn't end up using this dry cleaner so I don't have comments on the quality of service, it may be very good, but I came here for a specific purpose and they couldn't help me with that, hence the 1 star review.

lala Woo: Not good. I brought my dress to the store to shorten it a little bit. They showed me the price on the screen and I agreed it. They said I can pay it right away or when I pick it up. I chose the latter option. However, when I picked it up, they charged me more. I asked why, they said the price changes. I felt bad when I walked home, because they didn’t tell me the price is changeable in advance or explain more about why they have to charge me more. I feel happy about the quality though.

However, I completely trust Coolidge Looking Good with all of my clothes. They never exceed to satisfy me by making my clothes look good, such as removing all my stains and using eco-friendly products. It had been packed away over summer with chewing gum left in the pocket, which caused mold to grow all over the coat. I was shattered.They did the most amazing job!! I got my coat back looking brand new, I was so thrilled. The lovely owner only charged me $25, which is standard for a coat, even though they had to clean it multiple times for me. I offered extra but he wouldn’t accept it.I strongly recommend this business to anyone needing their clothes expertly cleaned, I will be a repeat customer for a very long time!

Tina D (Tina): Completely Unreliable!I brought in a pair of dress pants that had been torn and asked if they could be repaired. I paid a $14 deposit and was assured that I could pick them up the following Monday. This was perfect for me because I needed to get them back to the person I borrowed them from. Except it turned out to be far from perfect. I went to pick them up on that Monday and the woman behind the counter told me that not only were the pants not ready, but they had not even started on them because she forgot to tell the tailor about them.I showed her my ticket which said that they would be ready on Monday after 5:00pm and asked how this could have happened. She simply said that it happens and sometimes people forget. I told her that excuse was not good enough and that it was completely unacceptable.It turns out that my friend needed them the following morning for an event and I was unable to deliver them because Coolidge Looking Good forgot about them. As I am typing this now, I still do not have the pants. I am incredibly disappointed and I will NEVER go back there again! If you care for your clothes even a little bit, you wont go there either. There are much better options further down on Mass Ave. Choose those options instead!

Cindy Wu: Extremely disappointed with my experience at this business. I’ve previously brought items in for dry cleaning and was happy with the results. However, one month ago, I brought in two dresses and one shirt for dry cleaning, none of which were particularly dirty. When I picked up the garments, the dresses both smelled awful, but the shirt was fine. Upon realizing this, I returned to Mid Cambridge Cleaners and asked him what could be done about it. The owner immediately raised his voice, and started gaslighting me. He claimed that the dresses did not smell, that perhaps it had to do with the dry cleaner’s detergent or my body odor, and accused me of lying to him (insinuating that i had taken the dresses home and somehow made it smell at home). I eventually got a refund for one dress (my friend needed to wear it so we rushed it to another dry cleaner who described the smell as, and I quote, “dead smell, not human smell”).As for the other dress, he allegedly sent it back to the cleaners, but my friend went to go pick it up for me and it still had the same stench. Rather than apologizing, he once again started denying that the dress smelled, accusing her of lying, and yelling in a very unpleasant manner. Ultimately, he sent it back to the cleaners and I just picked it up now. It smells fine, but I expressed my displeasure to him and am expressing it here so others are warned.It’s not that the dresses smelled bad: I understand mistakes and anomalies occur. It’s the way he treated me, and my friend, that I found disappointing and unacceptable. I do my best to treat others with respect, and hope to be treated with respect in return. That did not happen with Mid Cambridge Cleaners.

Tiffany Davidson: I would absolutely give this place negative stars if possible. I used there washing services for our office laundry and received a load back, every item was stained significantly with purple spots. The woman who owns the place tells me that I stained the laundry, her employee is so honest that I am lying and I should tell the truth about what chemicals I used to stain the laundry. I am not even kidding. She told me to just be honest and say what I used to stain the laundry. They refused to take any responsibility or compensate for damaging 7-8 items of clothing. The most untrustworthy owner I have ever encounter. Beware.

The Brand letters were missing from the jacket when I picked it up from this place and now all you can see if a patch of glue where the letters are supposed to be. This is an expensive ski jacket and the cost to get it dry cleaned was expensive too! Very unsatisfied.

Jose Bro: I like this little laundromat. It's super clean and organized. The girl at the desk is very nice and always willing to help if there's an issue. It's a bit on the small side but it's very cozy. And very clean!! Plus there's a place right next door where you can grab a slice of pizza while you're waiting for your clothes to dry.

My issue with this business is that they ask for payment when you drop off your item which is fine, but when I picked up my suit today they charged me again. I told them that it was paid for when I dropped it off as per their request and also per the sign on the front window, to which they basically called me a liar, and got argumentative when I pointed towards the sign.I'll give two stars because my suit is clean, but I can and will get the same clean somewhere else and just pay once.I will not be back to this business.

Juan Castillo: Brought like 200$ worth of dry cleaning here, but they were unable to clean SEVERAL of the items (stains remained).Not the first time they’ve returned something in subpar shape (last time something came back with a new stain) — yet they always charge in full.Unfortunately, looking through the other reviews it seems like returning things with stains is common for this location.This is a highly overpriced laundromat imo.Definitely will be taking my dry cleaning elsewhere.Update: They also put their dry cleaning tag through my Fiancés couture dress, appalling work.

Spencer: They took 1 week to fix my pants (fair). I went one week later to pick it up and they lost it. They said they gave it to someone else. They said they would try to contact them so I waited. 2 weeks later, I still don't have the pants and they have been absolutely no help. What a scam.
Phil Stern: They have excellent service, a reliable computer-based system, and a much higher level cleaning service than others in the neighborhood. The prices are high ($2.50 a shirt) but I think it's worth it for the quality.

Maurice Burger: Unfortunately I had a very negative experience with Royal Cleaners. I brought in a jacket for dry cleaning and a repair of a small tear. Instead of taking 1 week, I had to wait more than a month to get the jacket back. After four weeks and three visits, I received a text message saying that they had accidentally broken my jacket. When first bringing in the jacket I had told the lady that it was an old jacket that was very dear to me as it belonged to my late father. Unfortunately the jacket appears to be beyond repair now. When I went back for the fourth time to pick up the jacket today, the man at the store made me wait and served other customers before me until he finally handed me my broken jacket. I won't go back and hope this review will get the owners to reconsider their practices.

Kelly West: Great location, friendly helpful staff and much cleaner than other laundry places in the neighborhood. But I’m not sure how well insides of washing machines are cleaned, lots of dust on top of surfaces.
kkk wang: This laundromat is in the central square, and the service attitude is very good. I thank them Wash-Dry-Fold Service for me 3 years, and the price is affordable. Their dry cleaning is also quick.
Romaine Godfrey: Pearl street ruined one of my favorite shirts. The blue one I have on in my picture. After I brought it back they decided to bleach it and hide it in other shirts I got dry cleaned. I brought it back again and “manager” avoided me for weeks and kept saying it wasn’t fixed yet and then I went to pick it up, the manager explained that they can’t be sure how this happened and they are not liable for it.

Chrissy Liang: My roommate and I got our clothes washed and folded at Pearl Street. The owner/worker was super nice and explained everything clearly. We had about 45 pounds of clothing- she got it done in less than 4 hours on a Saturday! All for less than $70!! The clean clothes were packed neatly into clear plastic bags. Socks were paired up for us. She also helped me load my clothes onto my Uber when it arrived and made sure I got in safely. Such a sweet person, and such great service. Laundry is always very overwhelming for me, and she helped me get back on track. I am extremely grateful and will definitely be coming back!
Dan Freeman: This is not the closest laundromat to me but I come here anyways because the woman who works it is very nice. Dry cleaning is reasonably priced and always comes back within a few days.
Bill the Handyman: The convenience is unparalleled, has the option to use your debit card and it's cheap enough that it's easily replaceable with any in house laundry you might have had access to. Tight space but there's loads of units to wash and dry with.
Aral Sürmeli: They ruined 4 tshirts and 2 sweatshirts of mine. Insisted that I put something in “that color“ which I have not. And when I went back, they were like oh this won't come out. Terrible, don't go.

The manager said they have nothing to do with it and told me never come back!I have been using the laundry machines here for over two years now. The first time my laundry got ripped was when the management changed. I told that to one of their employees and she only told me there is nothing she can do about it. She also said it is not going to help if I talk to the manager. Ok, since this is the first time this happened over a long time, I won't blame them.The second time was with a new staff. She took all my stuff out of washing machine when I was putting another load into the dryer. She said there are people waiting to use THE washing machine, while there are apparently two others available at that time. I wasn't happy about it because I know how my socks get hidden in the machines sometimes and it is likely to lose one or two without attention. And that happened!Worst of all when I finally started to put that load into the dryer, I found my towel got so dirty. I thought that it came from the towel being dragged on the ground when she took my stuff out. But she insisted that it's coming from being stuck in the washing machine. She didn't want to fix the dirtiness so the manager came to talk to me. The manager said it is what it is unapologetically and put detergent on it and flushed my towel in a dirty sink. In the end I wasn't able to take a picture because he cleared the evidence. The manager handed me that towel with a lot of residual detergent on it, and said he did me a favor by "cleaning it" in the dirty sink. I asked him if it's possible to wash it with the washing machine to at least get the detergent off. He said, “I already removed the mark so no, nothing more I will do, and just don't come back ever again!”
Melissa Wilkin: Spent 20 doing wash I put money in dryer it took my money I had to put more money and I had to go back to my house to get more. And they took my stuff out of the dryer when I was sitting right inside the laundry room so they can do there own wash.

Marilana Rufo: Great service… I use the drop off wash and fold, and they are always reliable and more affordable than most. They have never lost any of my items, and once when they washed it with scented detergent (I asked for hypoallergenic unscented everything), they re-washed it again no charge. Most of the people working here are very friendly, and if you become a regular they will remember your name! I highly recommend.

After numerous efforts to set up a pick up service I was told that they won't pick up. Someone on the phone muttered that they don't do laundry for people from :africa" although I am not. I just have a dark skin. that is all. just appalling!
