Bonny's Garden Center: what do users think?
Steve Harris: Cash or check only; no credit cards.
Craig Terlino: Cambridge's oldest nursery family owned. Fully stocked with all personal and commercial needs for gardening. A great spot for Christmas trees. Closes in winter after Christmas.
Jennifer Wipf: Came for Christmas stuff. Prices not well marked. Staff not available. It was pouring and we basically had to tie the tree up ourselves while children cried in the car. Awesome experience (sarcasm).
Tobias Herrmann: Fantastic flowers for a fantastic price. So much better variety and quality than any Home Depot or Lowes in the Boston area. Love that store. Please go here for all your flower needs. But bring cash or check, no credit cards.
Erik Williams: A local gem. Better service, selection and prices than the big box stores. Feels good to support this local business. Thanks for the exceptional service, Sal!
Asdf Jkl: they had the goldflame honeysuckle plant I was looking for
Rick Nelson: Nice garden center. We were there this time of year for a 🎄.
Mary Demelo: Bonny’s has the best customer service ever. Support local business and stop by, you will never go anywhere else. They always helped me find what I was looking for, helped me with great suggestions for my garden and every single time I stopped by I felt welcome.
Ale A: Excelente! Muchas opciones de árboles de navidad, los chicos muy amables.
Brett Mason: Great service, great plant stock. Wonderfully small family business. Serving both general pubic and gardening services in the Cambridge area.
Christy Dennison: Sweet family-owned business. The two brothers are so happy to help you find what you need and are incredibly nice in addition to knowledgeable from their years of experience. You will never get such great service from a hardware store. Good organic options. They are the only garden center that has catnip plants! I will not go to another garden center again. 😊
Cindy Ballo: Small lot with great plants service and prices. A true hidden gem. Bring cash or checks!
Colleen Barry: These guys have always been wonderful — very kind and helpful and super reasonably priced.
Stephanie Gullo: Great place!
Mary Ellen Fountaine: They don't take credit cards, cash or check onlyThe selection was amazing.the wildlife gathering there amazing.
matthew clark: The best place in Cambridge for outdoor plants & garden needs
zweli Miller: Outstanding selection of plants, great soils and fertilizers, great knowledge, local family business. Going to Bonny’s is taking a short path to gardening success. But be respectful because these dudes are Cantabrigians
Richard Thomas: Wide variety of choices, great prices and very helpful staff.
Syrah M: It is a fantastic garden center. The plants look so healthy & the owner is so helpful.Be prepared! They don’t except cards. Only cash or check
Caterina Strambio De Castillia: I love this place. People are nice, no frills and very competent. Highly recommended
Hillary Perkins: They've got a great selection of stuff and helpful staff. Wasn't planning on buying anything and ended up walking away with a couple really pretty flowering plants and a strawberry plant. Just a heads-up though, they only take cash or check, but they're super cool about you paying them later if you don't have enough cash on you or your checkbook.

Pemberton Farms Marketplace: what do users think?
Nicole Verde: A local family owned and run spot. Great greenhouse with a wide selection of plants, knowledgeable staff, and lots of garden accessories. Slightly pricey but great quality.
Karen Cookie: Great takeout!
Ellyn Ponkey: This place has tons of unique stuff. Got fresh made sandwiches, outstanding; cookies, need more; everything was fresh! Going back ASAP
Nancy J Roach: Always have luck finding what I need : food for dinner, delicious coffee cake, beautiful plants, some great nibbles for happy hour..
Trevor: Interesting foods, good croissants.
RM Fouche: Great selection!
Jerry Britto: truly an institution. anything you can imagine just might be found at pemberton farms
Katie Lavery: A bit pricey, but that’s to be expected as many products are imported or speciality items. Good selection of imported cheese and meat, this will be my go to if the jamón craving hits. Prepared foods and sandwiches are yummy too!
Jennifer Liang: Great grocery store around the area! Lots of options for bakery and deli items
Kathleen Byrne: They lost me today. I went in to buy rice krispies for a snow day activity for my kids. A family size box was $9.99. The same box at target is $4.79. I know shopping local will be more expensive, but that mark-up is more than what I am willing to pay.
V.S.: My go-to place for wide variety of healthy foods and spirits. Nice selection of meats, cheeses, and wine. Friendly and kind staff. They make the best ham & cheese croissants in their bakery section. Produce could be fresher, but no complains otherwise!
Alejandra Rodriguez: today (3/12/23) my partner and I went to get some groceries. We both has face masks on. We got two bottles of wine and got carded by the cashier. The cashier barely glanced at mine, but took my partner’s ID and put it in a machine. The cashier kept staring daggers at my partner. My partner was wearing makeup. On their ID my partner has a beard and says they’re male. The cashier kept staring and wouldn’t complete our transaction and called a manager. I askedthe cashier if my ID needed to be scanned as well. The cashier just said no. The manager asked my partner to pull down their mask and gave a thumbs up. This was humiliating. The manager did not apologize. The cashier barely whispered a “sorry about that.” I don’t think we’ll ever shop at Pemberton again
C P: Shop local when possible. Also had a really great beer section!
Ryan Lothian: Expensive
R Smith: Not cheap but super cute...did I mention it's not cheap?
Duke Briscoe: Quality selection of fruit and produce, bread, cheeses, other specialty foods. Organic choices. Good prepared foods, cakes, deli. Overall one of my favorite stores. Nice staff.
Bernie Pucker: Will return soon. Excellent selection and good prices. Accommodating.
Akash Srivastava: Had ruben from their deli, it was great!
Tina Lieu: Since Pemberton enlarged and renovated it's grocery, I no longer go to Whole Foods. The produce is good quality and variety with lots of interesting canned/jar speciality foods from different cuisines, a wine shop, cheese section and all the usual grocery needs, but also unusual offerings like preserved lemons and other Middle Eastern items. The shelves are packed like a NYC bodega!
Shiva Khanal: Met several very kind and helpful people selling great farm products.

Garden Nursery School: what do users think?
Josh Levy: Garden Nursery School provides a wonderful and nuturing environment for children. My 3yo daughter loves going there every day!
Lena Kuenkel: We could have not asked for a warmer or more loving first nursery school experience for our daughter. She is thriving at school and brings new songs and stories home every day. We can't recommend GNS enough, particularly as a first experience to little ones given the small group size and family-like environment.
Chris Straehla: Our daughter has thrived being a part of the GNS community. The teachers and staff are wonderful at fostering a kind, loving environment that fosters curiosity and relationships. A part-time preschool with 2, 3 and 5 day options has been a perfect fit for our family in the years leading up to kindergarten. I would highly recommend GNS!
Colleen Coffey: Our daughter has been enrolled at GNS for about 6 months and we could not be happier with our experience so far.  She attends the two-day program and every day she wakes up asking if it is a school day because she can't wait to go back.  The facilities are bright, fun and extremely clean.  Our daughter especially loves the outdoor time and spends a lot of time in the sandbox and mud kitchen cooking up lots of creations. For my husband and I being able to be a part of the school and her education through the cooperative program has been amazing.  We've both done one day of parent helping so far this year and it was so fun to be able to see our daughter in her school environment and helped give us a better sense of what her days at preschool look like.  Finally, the teachers are absolutely amazing.  We love that they use an emerging play curriculum and are always so impressed with the activities they come up with for the kids.
Zoe Trohatos: We are having such a wonderful experience at Garden Nursery School (GNS)! We love that GNS emphasizes social/emotional development and play! The teachers are exceptional and truly know all of the children. Our daughter is now in 2nd grade and still talks about her preschool teachers and the friends she made. GNS is the perfect first school experience, it gave our daughter the confidence and readiness to make the jump into elementary school. Our son is enrolled this year is having an amazing time! It is such a warm and welcoming environment. We highly recommend Garden Nursery school!
Angelika Makkas: GNS was an absolutely excellent school for our 2 children and a third starts next year. All of our children grew and learned leaps and bounds. But most importantly they are becoming empathetic kind people. Highly recommended.
Andrew Park: Our son was ready to start school but, of course, he had a rough start at the beginning. However, because of a great team of teachers and parent helpers, we are now fully enjoying to be part of GNS community! Best Pre-School experience ever!!
Devon B: Our 3 year old loves it. A very inclusive coop school.
Kate W: We started at GNS recently, but so far it’s been a great experience. The space is cozy, with plenty of natural light, and the teachers have been warm and friendly. Our son has fun every day he goes to school, and comes home excited to talk about what he’s done. He especially loves the daily dance parties! I also really like that GNS has a dedicated, fenced outdoor space with plenty of toys and a sandbox. We appreciate that there are a variety of attendance options- 2, 3, or 5 day, as well as early/extended care (FYI: late pickup is at 3 pm, there is no 5 pm option). This works for our family, but might not make sense if parents work during typical business hours.
Josefina Pelecanos: Our 4 year old daughter goes to Garden Nursery School five days a week and we are so happy with everything: the teachers and director are fantastic and make the school a warm, respectful and wonderful place for children to learn, play and grow. Our daughter loves to go to school every morning and we couldn't ask for more.
Sarah Moridpour: Amazing school and community! From the moment of our first visit, we knew that GNS was a unique place and we have found that to be true in every way- the director and teachers are just so warm and kind and the atmosphere is incredible. We love the parent-initiated and community-oriented structure of GNS; it has provided us with the benefits that many schools and daycare centers are lacking today: It is not only good for our daughter but for us as the parents, family, and community as a whole - we are learning together. We feel so lucky that we found GNS and the whole community.
Rachael Elliott: Our kids love going to Garden Nursery School, and we love the school's focus on play, respect, kindness, and communication. It's been an amazing year of growth for both of our kids, and especially the social and communication advances that we've seen in our son this year...we credit the teachers for their loving consistency, patience, and amazing care for each individual child in the school.Given the intimate size of the school and teacher-to-child ratio, we expected our kids would get lots of attention and guidance. (That was the case!)What surprised me was how impactful the cooperative aspect is at GNS: parents take turns helping out alongside teachers in the classroom, so we develop bonds with all of the children, in addition to the pleasure of seeing our own kids at play. Not to mention the respect I've gained for the many other parents who help keep the school running through volunteering their expertise in many fields. As a result, the sense of community at the school is vibrant and thriving. The school director and teachers are outstanding, and are clearly invested in creating a respectful environment among all of the children. Each day, our kids had opportunities to develop their social skills, language acquisition, fine and gross motor skills, etc. through creative play, problem solving, stories, dance party, and songs. When confronted with conflicts between students, the teachers help the children deal with their 'big feelings' by putting them into words and making a plan for how to move forward. They are attentive to the various and varied needs of each child in the classroom. After one year at Garden Nursery School, we can better understand what makes this place so fabulous. It was a poignant goodbye in June to the kids who are moving or entering school, and our younger one is so excited to return come September!
Amanda VanVleck: We had the privilege of spending 3 phenomenal years as part of the Garden Nursery family. The amazing teachers and director have created a safe and nurturing environment where each individual child is gifted the space and time and rich experiences to allow for extraordinary growth - both social/emotional and academic. My son lost both of his grandparents during his time at Garden Nursery and their long illnesses consumed our home life, but GNS offered him consistency, predictability and the warmest home away from home during these difficult years. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a "just right" school experience en route to Kindergarten - there are 2-day, 3-day and 5-day programs. (Our son is thriving in Kindergarten now and I owe his confidence and willingness to take risks and his inclusive instincts to his amazing experience at Garden Nursery School.)
Katie Brillantes: We LOVE Garden Nursery School! My first 2 kids went to another pre-school as GNS was oversubscribed and we didn't win the lottery. My third finally got in and we couldn't be happier. It is a truly unique place where children and families form a community and share in the joy of each child's growth. The curriculum is child-lead and really evolves based on the interests of the group. My son's class decided to do all things train related for awhile and now they are running a restaurant (making menus, drawing play money, etc..). Since the ideas come from the kids, they are very engaged and take ownership over their projects. Another focus of GNS is to help children build their social / emotional skills. My son receives individual attention from the teachers everyday and they have really taken the time to get to know him. He had a hard time with separation at the beginning and the teachers helped him feel safe and comfortable in the most kind and nurturing way. Now he loves to go to school and happily waves from the "goodbye window" everyday. So grateful for such a wonderful start to school for my son. Couldn't recommend GNS more.
Merrill B. Lamont III: we're coming back next year! "PLAY is the 'work' of being a child" - that quote plus the focus on emotional-social development is what brought us - you can tell the staff are made for what they do - my 3yo daughter is having fun - it's actually a community for parents, too
Meg Vadakekalam: We can't say enough about how much we love GNS! It has been such a warm, supportive, empowering environment for our shy daughter. Since she started in the fall, we have watched her grow more confident every week and she is always so excited to go to school and play with her friends. The teachers and director are amazing and so dedicated, and the cooperative structure allows us to be an active part of the school community, which is so great for our daughter as well as ourselves. We highly recommend this wonderful school!
Jeff Rawson: GNS is truly a top-notch place! Our two kids are excited to go every morning, and come home with stories of unique activities from each day. The kids are so enthusiastic for their nursery school that they proudly wear their GNS t-shirts around town. The teachers work diligently, far above the minimum, to plan enriching activities for the kids, and they clearly implement the science of early childhood development into their practices. GNS is far more than a daycare, and will foster your child's emotional, intellectual, and social development. We've also enjoyed the expectation of parental participation; it's given us a chance to be involved with our kids at the school, to spend more time in the space and with the teachers, and bonded us with a community of other local parents.
Deidre Deegan: An incredible school with the best teachers and community spirit. Our daughter attended for two years, and is now in Kindergarten. She's more than well prepared and so confident and socially/emotionally more than ready, in no small part thanks to GNS. We really miss the school and teachers! The philosophy is to focus on social emotional as the foundation, with everything else branching and building from there. Science, math and early literacy are baked into the activities, though all our daughter knew was cozy, fun, friends. The parents are really involved, a wonderful built in community and nest type experience for the start of school -/ this is what preschool should be!
Daniel Wendel: I cannot imagine a more perfect first introduction to "school" than Garden Nursery School. My son found a second home at GNS where he was loved, understood, and valued for who he is. And that was true of each of his friends here, too. My son is now in a kindergarten program he loves at a Montessori school in Cambridge, so it's been 8 months since we left GNS, but when we went back to visit for "Alumni Day" last weekend, he absolutely glowed with joy. All of the friends who returned for a visit picked up right where they had left off, and, due to the community that developed from the co-op structure and "parent helping", the parents were really excited to catch up too!It is hard to identify exactly what it is that makes GNS so special, because it is a combination of so many things working together. But here are a few things that stand out:- Parent helping means that I got to know (and really care for!) the other kids in the class, beyond the caricatures that come from first impressions. In other schools I would have noticed the rambunctious kid at drop-off who was making my son feel a little intimidated. But at GNS, I helped to comfort that boy when he was crying because of how much he missed his daddy, and I learned that his heart was even bigger than his energy as he made the extra effort to invite my son into his games and activities. Perhaps it was the good influence of the teachers, or just that all the kids were all abnormally awesome, but I came to know and care for all of the children, and I know the other parents similarly care for my son.- The teachers treat the children with constant love, respect, and delight. I learned a tremendous amount about parenting by watching them! Everything from acknowledging and accepting "big feelings" to sharing in the awe of what a butterfly wing looks like under a magnifying glass let the children know that they were known, valued, and safe.- The play-based curriculum ("play is kids' work!") is wonderful. One thing my wife and I noticed when visiting other preschools was that in most places, our arrival caused some disturbance in the class, and typically several children would come talk to us or want to play with us, often competing for our attention. But when we visited GNS, we were struck with how unimportant our visit seemed! We certainly felt a warmth and happiness in the air, but there was also a sense of security and purpose that was lacking in our visits elsewhere. I described it to my wife as "this picture isn't going to color itself!" and "these cars aren't going to drive themselves!". It was as if each of them felt they were contributing something to the world in their play, whereas in other schools the children were just biding their time until they got to go home again. My predominant feeling when reflecting back on our experience at GNS is one of gratitude. We really struggled with our decisions about childcare and preschool, and ultimately felt like we were just kind of guessing and hoping for the best. So I'm extremely grateful that we got to be a part of something so wonderful. I wish that every preschooler could have the experience my son had.
Ellenor Barish: We have loved our time at GNS. The staff is highly skilled, compassionate and passionate about their work with our families. They encourage each child to explore and develop their personal interests and to share their experiences with their classmates. GNS is a place where children bloom. And as Parent Helpers we get to witness and participate in the process in a unique way. Plus - it’s easy to get there via public transportation.
Mathias Neuber: GNS has been a great experience for both us and the kids. The kids love the time that they spend at the school. They love going there and talk enthusiastically about their day and the their teachers and friends. The focus of the school on learning through play and preparing them socially for kindergarten. The teachers are amazing with children this age--as parents, we have learned many tips and tricks from the teachers on raising our children. As a co-op, GNS actively involves the parents in their child's learning and development. We are asked to participate in the classroom a few times during the year which helps us understand how our children interact in environments outside of the home and family. We could not think of a better place for nursery schools.

Mahoney's Garden Center: what do users think?
Ssesanga Yas: Love this place
Duke Briscoe: Helpful staff, wide range of products at good prices. Good for Christmas trees at Winchester location.
Christopher Copelas: Great selection of anything you could possibly think of!!!Great plants and so healthy. The people here are so helpful!!!
Curt Raffi: Mahoney's offers an incredibly large selection of plants and garden supplies. If you're looking for something unusual they will probably have it. Just be aware that they are not priced like Home Depot or Lowe's. They offer high quality plants but are also very expensive.
Yanxu Zhou: Love love love this place and everyone meet up with Abby! cute little girl
nikita srinivasan: Such a great selection of plants, reasonable and extensive collection
Jarvis Chen: Beautiful and VAST selection of flowers, plants, seeds, pots, vegetables. It's an incredibly large and clean garden center. One of the best in the area
Stella CC: I bought really lots of plants from here. Bought an Albo epipremnum early this year, really love the plants but found out it has so many mealy bugs. Turn out to be my nightmare 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
Caroline DeBrota: Expensive, but I'll be damned if they don't have every single variety of every single plant you've ever seen, and many more that you've never seen before
Bethany Krevat: Love doing all of our plant and garden shopping at Mahoney’s! They always have an awesome selection.
BHAMA: What a place! I really loves it.
Steven Laliberte: Great experience
Jon Splaine: Beautiful Selection!
Laurel Mulligan: Great customer service and amazing selection. The plants always look so healthy and well cared for. I love going here, even if it's just to take a stroll.
SLI: Paid over $400 to have a half cord of supposedly kiln-dried hardwood delivered from their Winchester location. Attempted to use it in the same wood stove we've used for 15 years, where we've burned everything from locally-gathered wood, to purchased seasoned wood, to kiln dried wood. This wood is among the worst we've ever tried to burn. It's clearly not dry, let alone kiln-dried. We've had it covered outdoors since it was delivered. Even after storing it in the house for three days, it lights, then nearly goes out, makes the familiar hissing sound that insufficiently dry wood makes, and then more or less turns to charcoal, if it doesn't just go out altogether. Since this stuff is using up our available wood storage space, we can't even have another place deliver some properly kiln-dried wood to supplement it, so we're now looking at a winter without being able to use the wood stove.
Nancy Pierce: They have wonderful flowers
Kristina Jacobs: Terrible customer service. Got yelled and screamed at by a worker (older white man with white hair and beard) as I was trying to reverse a dump truck to pick up my order of bales of hay. Extremely impatient and condescending. Will not be doing business here again.
Catherine Rowden: I worked with Rachel Abbott for my daughter's wedding flowers. She was amazing to work with and the flowers were exceptional. I have always shopped at Mahoneys for my nursery needs but did not realize they did wedding flowers. People were stopping us to take pictures of the flowers. Cost was very reasonable. Would highly recommend using them for any floral decor.
Steve Durst: Farm stand items are expensive. Would be cheaper and better quality to but at Whole Foods, less than a mile away
Stephen Linder: Nice place. I get my tomato seedlings here every year.
RM Cerv: Mahoney's Garden Center is one of the premier spots in Massachusetts for plants. They have a huge property and greenhouses. They have a large selection of most plants that grow well in New England. They also have knowledgeable staff who can guide you in your selection of plants depending on the sun/shade considerations.

Ricky's Flower Market: what do users think?
Henry Edward Hardy: I am a stroke survivor. I'm 63. I walk with a cane, and I walk pretty slowly, to mitigate the risk of another serious fall which sends me to the hospital.I live a few blocks from Ricky's and I went over there to see if they had any honeysuckle. The first employee I encountered seemed not to know what honeysuckle was, but then she walked away quickly leaving me to try to catch up. When I found her again, she told another employee standing there something something honeysuckle. As soon as she walked away, he walked away too. I said hey could you help me please and he looked back and then walked away quicker.I walked back to the back counter where the man by the counter was having a conversation with someone. I stood there waiting a while for him to speak to me but he studiously ignored me until some people came up behind me, outside my field of view.He told me "Move!" and put his hand down making a sweeping motion with straight fingers and wriggled them at me from the lower joint. I said, "what?" I turned around following his gaze and then made sure I could safely back up and I did so.I said, "I am disabled. I am a stroke survivor."He told me:"You aren't disabled"He has a buddy who had polio and "he isn't really disabled. He can do things."I said "I didn't have polio. I had a stroke." And I turned my back and walked away.He came after me shouting. Did I think I was someone important. Wasn't I a man enough to make way for two "ladies" and so on.I felt threatened and intimidated and like he was trying to provoke a confrontation and stop me from just walking away. This is by far the worst customer service I have encountered since moving to the Boston area in 2008.**update**Owner has apologized. I'll give them another chance and will update review after. Thanks for your consideration.update:April 20, 2023Stopped by and picked up some nice marigolds and pansys today.Customer service was not proactive, stood behind the counter, answered my questions but didn't come out to assist me with selection or purchase notwithstanding that I was carrying my cane.Average customer service experience, not great but nothing to complain about.
Kevin Morrison: THE SERVICE HERE IS THE WORST ANYWHERE ESPECIALLY ON DELIVERIES DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!!
Denise Lauers: Good Christimas Tree selection with a great customer service!
Gretchen Bennett: Just got a great Christmas tree. A little pricey, but the people are super helpful!
Christopher Collier: Ricky's is the best!
Rai H.: 👩🏻overview: randomly spotted this place and got a seven foot balsam tree for $135. staffs were friendly and they helped us load the tree. much better than the last year’s tree - shape and condition wise.💁🏻‍♀️final words: i would get my next year’s christmas tree from here again! affordable and closely located from my place.
Raina Searles: I’ve purchased plants from here and also was able to take the plants back for some assistance on reviving them after I sunburned the leaves.
Lucia Bee: This place is amazing!!!!! Their selection is MASSIVE and they have pots for days. You will find plants here that you cannot find elsewhere with any consistency. It's not ideal for someone who knows nothing about plants because there aren't a lot of labels/staff around to answer questions, but if you love plants and are willing to do the research, or already know the basics, you might find your new favorite here.
Pauli Katz: Ricky's is such a happy place! All the oxygen the happy plants are releasing must have something to do with it.I had a black thumb until the pandemic forced me to try again. I lived walking distance to Ricky's and so went over to see what I could keep alive. Fast forward a few years and not only are those plants still alive, thanks to the staff for answering a few hundred million questions along the way, but they've all got siblings and my apartment is overflowing with green. I've moved and walking over is a slightly harder option when I've got a plant need/question, but I'll never go anywhere else, they're fantastic!
Steven Finn: Ricky is a liar and a con manHe sent me the wrong plantsThe trees a bought didn’t last a seasonHe overcharged for deliveryStay far away from this creep
Mark Diethelm: They have everything you need for your garden. It's hard not to spend a ton of money every time you go in.
Laura Aguilar: We had last minute venue changes that drastically changed our floral plans. To say she delivered is an understatement! The most beautiful, unique, and fresh flowers
Vasavi venkatesh: I never knew about this place until today and I am so glad I found it. First time outdoor gardening an I found everything I needed. Got some veggie starters, soul and containers. It is a huge place and LOTs of choices for flowers and veggies. The owner was very helpful and gave excellent tips. Plus they do deliveries too!!! Would totally recommend!
Cathalina MacDonald: Amazing variety of plants! I didn't know where to find ghost peppers last year but now I do!! I will definitely be back for some of the awesome hanging plants I saw there!!!
Maya Shen: The place’s huge inside, glad I checked it out today, it has many sections covered all kinds of gardening needs and plants types. Fun to just walk around as well, there aren’t many insects given the density of plants.

Pemberton Garden Services Inc.: what do users think?
Ed Abrams: Pemberton Garden Services was using a leaf blower at 86 Wendell Street on Veterans Day prior to the allowed time window per the Cambridge Leaf Blower ordinance. I am a neighbor to this property. One of the workers was rude to me. The owner contacted me and apologized for the behavior of his worker and took responsibility for the scheduling mistake. This was the first time that I a landscaping contractor has ever apologized to me for leaf blower usage. Thanks
Daniele Lantagne: We have worked with Pemberton Gardening over the past 6 years to:- Landscape our small front yard area - with beautiful small trees and shrubs- Maintain our yard and plants and trees- Buy plants and annualsPemberton has created beautiful spaces for us.Also, they just saved us (emergency service) when the neighbors' poison ivy grew into our yard - they came out same day to tear it out.
Elizabeth DesMarais: Beautiful store with wonderful people
Ben Hayyim: Great place, great deals and friendly atmosphere.

niche: what do users think?
Meredith Graham: My first time in today got a plant for my mom's birthday beautiful place I definitely will be a return customer highly recommend
Susy Natalia: Nice small place to buy plants. They have varieties of plants and the price is pretty affordable.
John MacDonald: Was looking forward to visiting this shop, but was surprised they weren’t open when we got there. Checked Instagram and no notice of being late, they ended up opening about 30min late. The woman in the store was decently friendly and welcoming, the plants were generally not in great condition
Jenna Sunshine: Beautiful plant shop with TONS of options, and pretty good price points. Sometimes small plant shops can be really expensive so I was thrilled that I could afford to shop here. I bought a "string of pearls" plant and 2 baby plants for $30. The team member that helped me was incredibly knowledgeable which is SUCH a great value add to this store because every plant has different needs and you're more likely to be able to keep plants & not have them die on you if you care for them properly.i highly recommend this store!! As I always mention in my reviews when relevant, going here supports a small, local, female owned business; try to support these types of businesses whenever possible instead of big box stores.
Jamei Bauer: To my wallet’s dismay, I really love pretty much everything in this store. It is beautifully curated and also somehow spotless?? How do I get my plant corner to look like this? I know, let’s add this adorable string of turtles!
Jeremiah Quinn: Wicked cute place! Very helpful and beautiful selection of plants and pots!
Virginia Borrelli: They had great pots and plants. They where a little low on stock, but they still had what I needed. They also pot the plants for 2 bucks, which is great! The staff was also very friendly
Tina Prevost: Plant were lovely and the service was very helpful
Chelsi Napoli: A wonderful shop in Davis! Such lovely staff who went above and beyond to answer our questions and even help us with soil needs for our new succulents! Thank you Niche!
Carter Newell: Niche is super cute with so many plant options! All of the plants were gorgeous and healthy. The person who helped me (I forget his name) was super sweet and helpful with teaching me the care for my new plant. I’m definitely coming back when I’m in the area again!
Daniel Namiatov: really great aesthetic but priced way out of my (and i think probably most’s) range
Zack Dresser: Awesome local plant shop with an ever-changing inventory of fun plants! The staff is always willing to chat with you about your space and what plants are best. They offer potting services and a wide variety of pots. It is a little pricey for the everyday person, but worth the price if you want the best quality houseplants or gift!
Peony Chang: Good variety of house plants, including some uncommon ones not usually found in the big box stores. The staff are knowledgeable about the plants and can give you good advice on specific care for each plant. They also sell pots and have a limited selection of planting materials. I also like that the store is dog friendly! I wish prices were more affordable though. I've seen the same plants at other stores for a fraction of the price.
Nick Esposito: Love our neighborhood plant shop - lots of great selection and beautiful pots for sale as well. They set us up with a couple of great plants to spruce up our apartment
casey Ausman: Always fun to visit Niche and its knowledgeable plant loving employees. They just moved to Davis square!
Emily: A gorgeous neighborhood tropical plant shop. Some hard to find plant treasures can be found here. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
Bailey L: I already knew what I wanted going in and the person on staff was great about just letting me browse and keep to myself. Then when I started talking about getting a palm one of these days they were full of super helpful information! Not to mention the 3 plants I got are absolutely beautiful. Great store, I'll definitely be heading back the next time I'm looking for plants 😊
Sarah Kenton: Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! My plant has been thriving for months using their detailed care instructions!
Abby Lebsack: Very well cared for houseplants and succulents!
Cecilia Hall: I’ve bought “rare” and expensive plants here twice. First time a begonia maculata, second a philodendron birkin. In both cases, they had the plants in 6” pots with a huge amount of soil but maybe (maybe) 1” or less of roots. These weren’t plants, they were barely rooted cuttings. I’d say the prices were comparable to fully established plants you could buy online, but I didn’t expect to get cuttings for that price. Wouldn’t bother shopping here again, I made the mistake once with the begonia and hoped the birkin would be better, but was disappointed.
T C: Nice selection and friendly helpful staff.

Caroline Delfino: I ordered flowers yesterday to be delivered for someone's birthday today. Got a confirmation number and everything. Today I get an email stating I'm getting a refund. Confused, I call to inquire about why I was not called to be notified of any other possible options (maybe delivered tomorrow instead?).No apologies. The girl just says "yeah our florist isn't in, my bad".Is this how business is conducted? We say "my bad"? How rude and inappropriate. Will NOT do business here again.Wow.Now it will take 1-5 business days to get refunded!!
Autumn Waldron: Super helpful and friendly staff. Super friendly kitty, great selection. Definitely will be coming back!
Laurie Kearney: Beautiful arrangement and very accommodating and thoughtful staff. I will use them again for my floral needs.
Bonita Applebaum: Hardly anything left worth planting
