Maruichi Japanese Food and Deli: what do users think?
Kevin Bassett: A nice store in a convenient location. It has a wide variety of Japanese grocery items.
Juro M: I wish they'd bring back bentos in Arlington.
Jessy McQuaw: Fantastic selection of ready-to-eat lunches, made just before the lunch rush starts. Maki sushi, chirashi bowls, gyuudon, chicken karaage, tempura shrimp. And plenty of Japanese groceries as well. They recently began milling their own grades of rice, which I'm excited to try!
Shashu Bao: Great selection of Japanese pantry items, meat, produce, vegetables and prepared food. Super friendly staff. Great spot to check out and go out of your way to visit if you’re into Japanese food
Karen I: This place is smaller than one in brookline, but has a good selection of necessary things.
Corey Pedersen: Great selection of high quality ingredients! It can be hard to find things if you don’t read Japanese but it’s still approachable enough to find your way.
J K: Best authentic bento 🍱 place! I also grabbed some onigiri 🍙 and dango 🍡. I love visiting this place when I miss visiting Japan.
Akira Shimabukuro: Visiting this store always comes with joy. It has pretty much everything you need to live a life like you are in Japan. Natto and sashimi are always available. One thing to mention is price. I wish the prices would be lower.
YILI LING: Nice little supermarket that has a wide selection of Japanese products.
Robin Yukiko: I always love coming to Maruichi. I usually come when my supply of bottled milk tea is low, but frequently end up wandering the aisles getting lost in nostalgia and temptation. From the produce (especially mushrooms) to the bakery, to the household goods, I always feel like I'm back in Japan when I come in. The staff are always friendly and helpful when you have a question.I only wish I lived next door so I could come every day for my onigiri!
oo-: ほりだしものがたくさんあります。定員さんもやさしい。
Brendon Thomas: One of the best Japanese grocery stores I've been to on the East Coast. Their pre-prepared food options and great and I love stopping by even if it's just for a pollock roe onigiri.
Jeffrey Kwong: Best place in greater Boston for fresh sashimi and Japanese groceries
Y K: Great place to buy Japanese food
Matthew Urick: a nice grocery store
Max Ide: A great grocery store with a wide variety of Japanese food.
Sam Archer: Maruichi is a fantastic grocery store. They carry pretty much all of the specific Japanese ingredients I can ask for, in decent variety, with good prices. They also have an extensive home goods section. Every time I come back, this place has gotten better - new seasonal products, expanded popular offerings, increased selection - I'm really enjoying sampling the various soba noodles right now. If they add some bicycle parking in the back, I will petition Google Maps to let me give six stars. (ᵔᴥᵔ)
c l: Updating after a year to add that I love their seasonal products. It's fun to go and find something new and tasty. Most recently some rose milk tea (yum!). Love the nigiri, mochi, sushi, bento and asian veggies. Lots of different snacks, seasonings and Japanese goods.Old review: I finally got my vaccine and shopped for the first time today. Lovely selection of Japanese foods and so many tempting options. It is a small space, but packed with items. I will be back for sure.
Anthony Maiorana: Solid little store for getting some of those essential Asian ingredients and Japanese staples. Do not expect being able to find everything here, but rather it's a place you can stop in and grab essentials or enough stuff for a few days as opposed to doing a big shop.
Olivia Tran: So delicious
Chester Liu: Why would you go to this tiny corner store vs the giant Hmart supermarket not far away?Well, their stuff is actually made in Japan for the most part, not Chinese or Thai knockoffs of the original. You might pay a bit more but it's totally worth it.

Reliable Market: what do users think?
Heather Mack: Where else can you get novelty candy from Korea, an incredible beer selection, plus fresh fish and so much more? This place is a gem.
Alexander Taylor: I've been shopping here for years. Reliable Market is my favorite Asian grocery store in the Boston area. To start with, it's in Union Square, which is generally an excellent place to spend time, so the location is great. The store itself is family-run. Paul curates one of the best beer selections you'll find in Somerville, and I don't say that lightly. The grocery selection is second to none. All kinds of hard-to-find fresh, dried, fermented, and canned goods you simply won't find at other local stores - even in Chinatown for some items. Great wine and sake selection as well. The restaurant in the back is a hidden gem. Their chef will cook you all kinds of wonderful comfort foods and there are a few seats, or you can get it to go. The density of high quality items makes this store a fascinating wonderland of culinary adventure to browse. I come here regularly just to look around and try things, and I always leave with a few things. Never change, Reliable Market! Somerville needs you!
Kyle Conroy: Great store, bigger than it looks with a good selection of beer and Korean/Japanese groceries. They serve made to order food that's really good and reasonably priced.
anika balaconis: Best boston stop for everything you've longed for but couldn't find. Great alcohol selection. Big snack collection from korea and japan. Noodles and sauces of all kinds. Fresh and frozen veg and seafood.
Alexandra Kaidan Berry: North Korean, the reason for a colostomy, poison food, beware dangerous!
Robert Emery: They're the only place carrying my favorite Japanese rice crackers. It's family run and the employees are always kind and helpful.
Demerson Negao: Great place ⚡
Haoxuan Wang: Great place to get some Asian groceries and nice collection of local beer.
Sean: Lovely local bodega, sweet staff, and fantastic craft beer selection.
Dylan Shilts: Paul was awesome! Food selection seems endless. Highly recommend!!
Slater Victoroff: Great market, great produce and huge selection of delicious stuff
Bruce Pritchard: Excellent selection, great place to shop.
Phyllis Kay Larson: I use to love Reliable Market Place frequented it often in the past. Almost 20 years. For some reason It is overprice. I could not believe my bill $393.00 just on condiments alone was expensive 15 items soy sauce and such , few green vegetables items, a packet of spicy ramen, 15 lb rice , two ovalMochi bags, and three gyoza bags one was $25.00? The other two $20 combined something like that.3 soda bottle that has a marble as a cap in it for the grandkids. Then as I walked to the back I was still shaking my head wondering WTH?I was already overcharged the prices out way more than HMart and other Asian Markets. Then to see a charge of $45.00 for Buns? I am thinking there has to be a mistake! What buns?! Are gyoza called buns?I spoke to the son of the owner I would assume. Very nice and cordial young man. He checked the receipt and items I bought and agreed there no buns there in any of my bags. Told him it the buns were the gyoza you can take them back. I can make my own.I also told him they no longer have The Japanese Ramen???I got my refund on my card $45.00I left Thanked the man and then went to my car and drove to the local Stop n Shop? The one around the corner or is it Market Basket?Anyway for the price of one ramen bag was high at Reliable mostly spicy. At the grocery store around the corner where I went and I purchased six boxes of ramen 3 shrimp and 3 chicken for the price of $18.00, two bags of cookies, 3 big bottles of Aloe Vera Juice. Total came to $44.98Well spent. I went to the Reliable Market for the soda bottles with a marble top as a novelty purchase for the grandkids as they requested it.Then asked for shrimp and chicken ramen.I can shop elsewhere and get reasonable prices and not worry about being overcharged and hindsight another $11.98 or $11.99 charge was suspect but by then I just wanted to go home and put my frozen gyoza in the freezer. As I said I use to love shopping there but to date I will take my business elsewhere. If you like liquor that would be a place to go as they have an array of different liquors and Alcohol beverages. The irony of it all I went there to purchase three soda marble top for my grandkids.🤦🏻Won’t be going back. Something just does not seem right the vibe has changed.People are all pleasant enough just check your receipt.
Harold Oshima: Really just a liquor store now
John Clauson: Really helpful and friendly staff, easy to find interesting snacks and groceries
Jeani Rome: They don't make food here
Jeraldine Godfrey: Staff is quite helpful. Checkout lines move quickly. It can get crowded, but the customers and staff here know how to deal with that
Trent House: Nice, clean Asian market with a great cider and craft beer selection.
Samuel Bar: So much packed into such a small space. Produce, fish, meat, sauces, asian snacks, frozen foods, and a wall of beer to chose from! Why shop anywhere else?
Jessy McQuaw: I go there sometimes for east Asian groceries and produce. What really impresses me is their large selection of sake, soju, and many other wines. And now they have a good craft beer section as well!
Bryan Phillips: Love love love this place

Super 88: what do users think?
Health Enthusiast: Big chinese grocery store with fresh produce, fresh meat including unusual cuts like duck neck and rabbit. There are some vegetables on sale in plastic bags.I wish they didn't use so much plastic and gave you option to buy smaller portions of bockchoi... why make them all the same size?
Nyc Geotracker: Heads Up..!! Beware of the food here. Not so fresh and about to get rotten. Watch closely and I mean Look deep into everything.
Yaqiao Lian: Goods are complete
Donald “BuD” Grant: Asian market. All you would expect and more. Full seafood section and an amazing array of noodles and teas! Check out the Lays!

Yola Mejia: Buenísimo
Romel Jn Baptiste: Great experience with MickysnoviasI can my self refers any of you to deal with them....A6 plus.
Kumar Nathan: Good price
Johnson MrBear: Usually buy some soy sauce and other sauces there. The vegetables there is good but the fruit there is not recommended. It has some good discounts sometimes. Also, if you add one Wechat group, you could get additional discount. 🤫
Martine Janvier: Ridiculously price for tide, but fruits and veggies always fresh
José Ramón Alfaro Espinola: Tiene buenos precios.
Marie Lyne Richiez: Affordable price
Pare: good variety
F K: Lots of variety for snacks, drinks, fruit, vegetables, seafood, etc.
Wyatt Roscoe: Best Asian market I have been to in a long time. On point.
Lilian Wu: Lots of options! You can basically find all ingredient you need to make Asian cuisine!!
Xian Huang: 收银较晚,菜品较少
Eugenia Colindres: Love this place. Everything is fresh
Ruihan Wu: I bought a bag of rice and it had bugs in it the first time it’s opened. Brought it back to the store and the manager wouldn’t return it saying it’s been too long. This store would not take responsibility for selling defective products that has series health concerns. Would never come back again.
