Sean of Andrea: I just held my wedding reception here and it was a fantastic venue! Very reasonably priced with plenty of room for 100 guests. The floor is perfect for dancing, and the built in sound system has a convenient plug that will fit into any phone or laptop. We used their tables and chairs, and the caterer appreciated their full kitchen. Charles was very flexible and gave us plenty of time for setup/teardown. Plus they have a handful of parking spots on top of being right next to the Porter Square T Stop.

Kyle Bryant: Always have a good time Wednesday night with everyone that shows up to the dance classes or even just for social dancing after class is over. The price is cheap for 4 hours of fun, it's only 5 dollars for students and 10 for non-student. The class goes for about an hour and focuses on your skill level. All the teachers and attendees are very friendly and willing to help out the new comers and teach them

T: Two rooms for our group and heating / AC broken in both... Beds only mediocre, rooms do appear to be well sound proofed though in terms of the neighbors. Traffic noise with the windows as well as pedestrians are plenty noticable still.Staff wasn't exactly the most helpful when checking in and had to rearrange our booking for some reason.Walking distance to the science museum though is it's saving grace. The cost absolutely was not worth it though... I'd recommend staying 20-30 minutes away at a nicer hotel for half the price and then just paying parking.Rooms: Average room. Uncomfortable beds. Shannon Wentworth: We only stayed 1 night and I am glad it wasn’t more. The staff was very friendly, but the hotel is in DESPERATE need of repair and renovations. The window in our room would not close completely. Maintenance came to look. They slammed the window to close it more but the cold air still made it into the room.

tiffany mukundi: This hotel has the BEST location for the price. It’s a 5 min walk to the train station where you can go anywhere in Boston so we didn’t need a car. On top of that, the room was spacious and CLEAN! Housekeeping did a great job with our room, we really appreciated it. The breakfast was probably the best I’ve had for continental breakfast in the past few years. Lots of variety and snacks to go! The front desk people both nights were so helpful and kind. They held our bags because our flight was late. When I came back for my bags, I noticed I left my AirPods in the room. Within 5 minutes, they brought them to me. I was so thankful and blessed. Imagine if I forgot them and I live in Georgia 😭. If I had to return to Boston, I’d stay here again.

bigdave1331: My wife and I stayed at this Holiday Inn for a weekend getaway. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Edith, the receptionist at the front desk is absolutely amazing! If I were her boss, I would certainly be giving her a raise. The beds are comfortable. The hotel and rooms are very clean and appealing. The hotel is located in a safe location that is only a couple minutes walk to the Boston subway system. There is a grocery store right around the corner from the hotel that is within walking distance.

Zhe Li: Charges fees without any warning, bad location, bad elevator1. I booked the room with my free night provided by my credit card, and throughout the booking process there is no mention of "fees" with specific numbers anywhere. In the confirmation email it also says "Total estimated price: Free". At check-in I was also NOT notified of any fees. Guess what? The day after my stay I got a $55.5 charge. I checked again and there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that is mentioned anywhere. They could have charged me $10,000 and say it's "fees". I talked to IHG and they told me about $47 is for fees -- no explanation of what they are for -- and cannot explain where the rest $8 comes from.2. The hotel is located next to a highway in an area that is under development, and the surrouding does not make me feel comfortable walking at night.3. One elevator was out of service, while the other was slow, small and had sudden starts/stops. I was on the 8th floor and once it took me several minutes to go to the lobby because of the stops.I am going to ask my credit card company to give my money back, and I will NOT renew my IHG card next year.

melissa Alves: This is the worst hotel I've ever booked. First when booking we asked for adjoining rooms we get there no adjoining rooms. We were booked months in advance so they should of been no issue accommodating us . They want us to pay 35$ for parking which I did but was not told that I might have to park 4 blocks down the road behind a Dunkin with no lights or cameras. I felt so unsafe tht I had to drive home and check out at 12. I didn't even spend the night. The women at the front desk could careless about what I was saying to her at one point told us that this conversation was over and turned around. If I was told that I would have to park down the road, I would've took an Uber to the show I was going to. I think when a guest checking in you should make them aware that they might have to park four blocks on the road after paying $35. When calling for at least a partial refund they lady told me this is a business basically screw me. I guess customers don't matter just their money. I would never book here again.
Jay S: This hotel is unbelievable… they charge for parking even if there is no parking available because the parking lot is so small in comparison to the hotel rooms they have. So their suggestion is parking in some dark alleyway down the road knowing that people are visiting from out of town… so what are you charging us for parking for?

J E.: I had a couple special needs, and Lance & the staff helped me meet them, which is shows the true hospitality of Ginkgo House and why it is worth your while to stay there instead of some chain hotel that is also farther from every place you want to be.I am still averse to dining in public indoors, so I ended up taking advantage of how many really great establishments deliver to Ginkgo House (and are within just .5 miles in most cases). In other circumstances, I think I would really have enjoyed dining in the dining room, since all the other guests I met seemed really pleasant.
Xuexin Cai: Booked for four nights and then extended for another two nights (due to another conference) -- I would definitely book this place again, when I come up to Cambridge/Boston again. Close to both Harvard and MIT, and a bus station that easily takes you to Boston. Subway station is within walking distance. The host is very responsive and provided timely help whenever we needed, even at around 10 PM. The place is very, very clean. And the kitchen is easy to use. Definitely one of my best urban AirBnB experiences! Highly recommended!

It’s a place with character, and because it’s an old house, there is a sitting area for guests, a kitchen and a porch and garden. John Alien: Disgusting, one of our worst hotel experiences in a long time. False advertising with outdated photos, don't be fooled by what you see. The reality is run down and smells of cigarettes in almost every room. When confronted about it, staff became rude and claimed it was a "cleaning product". Sticky floors and something sticky and foul smelling on the tv remote. Clearly unwashed sheets and grime all over the room. The refrigerator had a broken leg which rocked back and forth, most of the furniture was scratched up and felt like they would fall apart. There were even initials crudely carved into the tables. Plus, to add insult to injury, breakfast is advertised, but the lobby claims there is none at the moment. We seriously considered sleeping in our car. Would not recommend, and for sure would not come again.Rooms: Disgusting to both the eyes and nose.Food & drinks: Nonexistant.Noteworthy details: Get out while you still can.
Jason Christiansen: We picked this Econo Lodge for what they offered. Smoke free rooms, that don't exist. Long term parking, but the lot was very small. And we came back to find our car had been towed? Do to repaying? But the lot still looked the same and a car with damage and flat tires was still in the same spot. We found the vehicle in a different location. Apon further inspection of our car we noticed a huge dent in our passenger door. The staff was not pleasant about our damage. Or helpful to the video camera that I had parked in front of.The worst experience I've ever had going to Boston! Avoid the "Lodge,"at all cost! Spend the extra money, and go anywhere else.Rooms: Stunk!
Peri Hett: DirtyDon’t be fooled by the pictures shown for this hotel. It is very run down and dirty. Room clearly was not cleaned. Sheets felt damp? Makeup stains on pillow. Sticky floor. Had to ram door to get it to shut. Hair dryer and remote didn’t work. Also, online it said that breakfast was offered, but in the lobby it said that it’s not being offered at this time. One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in.

Kristin OConnor: Never sheets or towels, I clean my own room because it's disgusting and I refuse to live that way, went and bought all pillows, comforter etc because I'm not staying in this bedbug ridden place where guest comes last. I'll clarify today I had all my sheets and towels returned to hk but she didn't have fresh ones. Said 2nd floor cart will have it but after waiting, with 2 broken bones in my back I cried my way up there only to be told she was out try downstairs lady. The downstairs lady was gone and for 3 days Chavi at front desk pretends he doesn't know what size bed you have and seriously thinks one skimpy dirty hand towel and a dirty face cloth and sends you on your way. Mind you, I've had no NO SHEETS OR TOWELS FROM HIM. Waits 30 min to get nowhere then says use old. The old is soaked and I want clean sheets. My room is definitely cleaner than it's ever been but everything is falling apart. Everything. The night stand fake wood is untaped, the bathroom shower curtain disgusting and I can't wait to leave. Cesar Palma: Recently renovated and centrally located I enjoyed both my well appointed room and my stay. Friendly staff. Nice decor. The only drawback was a surprisingly tiny elevator (maximum capacity 2 people with luggage). Not sure what that space constraint is about especially after their recent remodeling.

simone di giorgio: Bellissimo hotel in una posizione strategica, attraversando la strada vi è un centro commerciale ma il dall'entrata principale vi è la vista sul bellissimo lago con una strada ciclabile e percorribile a piedi che circoscrive tutto il lago, veramente una bella passeggiata (anche molto lunga) ma che vi capita di visitare Boston non potete perdere, accanto all'hotel vi è anche il museo di storia naturale, uno spettacolo per grandi e piccini.

Sara Jane Dimond: We have stayed here a couple different times over the last five years and previously had very great experiences here. This time there was a very noticeable plummet in the quality of our stay. The staff was pleasant to a point but was very rude when asked if room service was available (it isnt) and our room had clearly not been thoroughly cleaned. There was previous trash left in all the bins including a used panty liner in the bathroom trash. Then while we were in the pool a guest brought an unleashed large dog into the pool and threw it in the deep end at another guest who was visibly injured and bleeding in the water. The dog struggled in the pool for several minutes until other guests intervened and lifted the dog out. These guest were also injured. At no point during this ordeal did we see a staff member intervene or come along to check on others involved. We will be going elsewhere for our vacations in the future.
Amanda Bandeira: Hotel excellent, however we were 3 in the room and only have towels for 2.We asked to someone to come to bring towels and bed linen for the third guest and they only brought towels and a blanket.After we called 2 times, someone brought us a extra set of bed linen, but said He couldnt make the sofá bed arrengements.We did ourselves.But besides that, everything was excellent.For sure I Will book this hotel again.And the hotel restaurant is excellent.

Mike: The banquet hall was perfect size and the food was very good. I liked that the hall was near the front and easily located.
Robert Schwerdt: The hotel was pretty nice, but they totally dinged me with hidden fees upon checkout. I was absolutely NEVER made aware of their hidden junk fees at any point. I’ve contacted customer service and they really don’t care. I get copy and paste “brush off” responses, but they’re unable to verify that I was made aware of fees (because I wasn’t) and unwilling to refund them.
Bob Field: Loved everything about this hotel except the Starbucks wannabe shop downstairs that had one price on the menu (which was $1.40 more expensive than a real Starbucks) but then charged me $.50 more putting my Mocha at well over $7.00. Gina: Beautiful, Clean and Modern Decor. Two beautiful cafes on main level. Great, Kind, Professional Staff. Beautiful Views of the River. Convenient Centralized location. Dated amenities, no room service, rooms are compact but beautiful and have all necessities including mini fridge, extra storage and desks, motion sensored lighting. Small plasma tvs. Very nice, simple fitness center, has all the basic but updated equipment. Bathrooms always well maintained.Walls are paper thin. Elevator is loud. One elevator was out so there is a small wait for the elevator. Alittle pricy but I still had an overall good experience. 👍 I would do it again.Walkability: Easy to walk to main attractions near by, bring your walking shoes!!
