Bosso Ramen Tavern: what do users think?
Khoi Nguyen: Good ramen.
Beau Cote: First time we’ve been here and we’ll probably be back. Ramen was good and apps were good. Ramen felt like it needed a little more considering the price (it’s a tad expensive for how basic it is but the taste is top notch). We kinda wish is was either just ramen or just small plates. Atmosphere was busy. We got a nice corner table away from people but it was definitely very loud and it took away from the quality of the food a little. Overall we’ll be back but hopefully it won’t be as chaotic.
Tim D: My fiancée and I decided to give Bosso a try the other night and both of us had a very underwhelming experience. The broth here tasted like it was made from Boston tap water. We were hoping for authentic Japanese cuisine, it was disappointing to say the least. The quality does not match the pricing. I ordered sushi which was served as a nontraditional hand roll, and the texture of the rice was very squishy. The whole experience was just not worth the wait, I would not consider returning; there is better quality Japanese food experiences in Boston.
Haruka Yamashita: I’m Japanese, and I think Bosso has the best Ramen in Boston!! I love visiting here. My favorites are umami ramen, torotaku (sushi) and gyoza. Staffs are all very lovely and the services are excellent too
Jon-Claude Blouin: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Anna Belle Harada: I recently dined at Bosso Ramen Tavern, and our experience quickly soured when we were served the wrong dish. We initially didn't make a big deal out of the mistake because the restaurant was very noisy. However, our server accused our table of lying about our order, despite our fluency in Japanese, and insisted that we had ordered the incorrect dish. Given the outrageous prices (+$50/person), coupled with the average quality of the food, we cannot recommend Bosso Ramen Tavern.
Riccardo Tripodi: Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Sarah Ander Shultz: Really tasty ramen spot!
Danielle Waldman: The only thing better than the noodles is the IMPECCABLE service from Yasu!!! I can't get enough of this place!
Tre Shockley: Tasty, but ramen portion sizes too small :(
Morgan Pratt: The portions were very small, had ingredients that clashed, and the atmosphere was very awkward. The vegan ramen had what tasted like chorizo and pickles and was very peppery. I could barely see anything and the cultural interpretation was a stretch.Dietary restrictions: They had vegan options but they were strange and expensive.
Gorgio Sac: The Best Ramen Ever 3
Adriana Azar: Original food. We enjoyed our dinner. However, even with a reservation, we still had to wait 30minFood: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Carolyn Lu: Really interesting ramen. Really enjoyed the sanmi tomato flavored ramen.
C. G. Walker: Exceptional Ramen restaurant in a city full of a lot of competition. Cozy, fun intimate interior. Quality of the food is just exceptional. Be sure to try the smoked salmon potesala, it's to die for!Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Sara Modiano: Excellent noodles, unique tastes, warm atmosphere.
david we: Very nicely decorated restaurant. Stopped in for a late night dinner. We started with the beef and Uni hand roll and shrimp tempura roll. Then tried the Karami Ramen and a glass of umeshu plum wine. The ramen noodles are cooked perfectly and the broth very tasty.
yy (yy): The ramen is authentic with some fusion elements in it. The broth is flavourful without heavily salted and seasoned. The owner is from the Boso Peninsula in Japan from what I heard from the staff.Highly recommend Sanmi Ramen if you like creamy tomato tonkotsu broth.Karami Ramen tastes like a Dan Dan Noodle inspired tonkotsu ramen, but it still taste good. The staff are super friendly and enthusiastic about ramen. Cozy atmosphere.A little bit pricey but the food quality justifies the price.
Tunc Oz: This place ruled the first month after they opened but the quality of the food has gone down substantially over time. Still it’s an a good vibe and the people are quite friendly.
Pol: Definitely not authentic Japanese food. It's just expensive fusion food with very small portion size.Food: Lunch menu is very limited--only Raman and "sushi" (not real sushi, more like onigiri) Raman is mediocre --salty, small portion, few ingredients and noddle is nothing close to amazing. The "sushi" is just big rice ball with tiny bit of topping.Other: it's much trouble just to pay the bill-- you have to register online with phone number +email + put in your credit card info...
anika balaconis: Lovely sake. Great hand sushi. Ramen noodles weren't the thick dense kind; they were the white thin kind.

Umami Omakase: what do users think?
S W: Our reservations were honored. Unfortunately, with more than four people we could not sit at the bar. Everyone left still a full stomach and my friends are still thinking about the foie gras.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jaz C: I was not aware that you had to go Hunger Games style for the counter seat which is probably why everyone gave me the stank-eye when I innocently walked into the restaurant past everyone and waited by the counter. That was still not enough because when the clock struck I was instantly ravaged by hungry sushi fiends who ran past me and established their dominance over the entire counter. I was pushed back and sadly stuck with a table so for future customers be warned for the need to train, practice, and be absolutely ready for the run of your life. That was a very jarring start to the meal. I would highly recommend a proper reservation system. The sushi was good and inventive and service was very attentive. The atmosphere was light and casual. However some pieces can be quite gimmicky which is not my cup of tea.
YM Z: Sit at the sushi bar and be wowed by the chefs and service. Every bite was a work of art for the eyes and the palate. Great sake pairings too.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

David Noireaut: Had one of the best bites of my life. Gotta love that otoro and truffle!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Stephanie Chen: My favorite omakase experience in the Boston area! The chefs and staff are always so kind and knowledgeable about the food as well.Recommended dishes Caviar Japanese A5 Wagyu, Clam Miso Soup, Seared Tuna, Foie Gras Truffle, Duck Breast …More
Aaron Caine: Fantastic experience. Minimalist atmosphere. Top notch quality (compare to a similar spot between thr seaport & Chinatown). Attentive and professional service.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Nathan Lintz: I just ate at umami for my partners 30th birthday. I can say without a doubt, this is the BEST restaurant in Boston. Every course was a unique and delicious experience. And the courses truly reinvigorated my creative spirit. Eating at umami is the opportunity of a lifetime.
David Zabner: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Bluefin Tuna Sashimi, Clam Miso Soup, Foie Gras TruffleMore
Elizabeth Johnson: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Omakase, Clam Miso Soup, Uni Spoon, Caviar Japanese A5 WagyuMore
Abi Doctor: So tasty! And such a fun way to celebrate a birthday or special occasion.Recommended dishes Omakase …More
Chris E: 3 stars for mid omakase. They favor presentation over innovation. Asking diners to pull out their phones and record is just flat out weird.Experience was enjoyable but left much to be desired.
Josh Amato: We love Umami they are so nice and friendly. The fish is very fresh and the preparations are creative and fun.Recommended dishes Omakase …More
Anna Vi: If I could give this place 6 Stars, I would.Everything about the dining experience, from beginning to end, was top notch. The restaurant, also been a sake bar, has an impressive sake selection. The Chef has have truly outdone himself with creating this menu. It had all the delights, from the freshest fish, to A5 Japanese Wagyu, foie gras, smoked duck breast, uni, bluefin toro and more, garnished very tastefully with roes, caviar, finely chopped salads and other delicious surprises. Every piece was a carefully crafted piece of art, and tasted simply phenomenal. The service was phenomenal as well. Michael worked his magic to make this night not only possible, but unforgettable, and both him and Jeff were on top of every step, being professional while friendly, attentive and caring throughout the evening.Lastly, if you have a chance, for dinner, sit at the sushi bar. These spots do fill up quick, speaking from experience, so reserve in advance.
Z Z: Their Omakase is good! And the 4 stars for overpriced, they charge you for both administrative fee and gratuity, that’s not accepted at other omakase like No Relation I think!
Ashwin k: Had a great experience for my wife's birthday! Probably one of the best meals I've ever had. Worth the money for sure!!!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Yuzu Langoustine Nigiri, Caviar Japanese A5 Wagyu …More

Tampopo: what do users think?
Makaila Pollard: NEVER AGAIN HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Samantha DiPrisco (Sam D.): one of my favorite spots, can't wait to come back!Parking: main lot is kinda small, so if its busy parking might be a bit of an issue - but its free on sundays. Also, if you dont mind walking the next st over is Porter Sq shopping center. both are right off the red line
Scott Sullivan: Amazing curry, so rich and tasty. Also enjoyed the takoyaki and tempura vegtables very much. Service was stellar, she was busy but managed the tables very well and friendly. Excited to return.
Patryk Maciak: My family love this place. Tasty, authentic and affordable. Having traveled to Japan, this is the real deal. Love their Tonkatsu curry udon.
Xin DONG (Robert): Recommended dishes Fried Oyster, Tea and Miso Soup, Tempura Entree, Kara-Age Chicken, Shrimp Tempura UdonMore
Rajib Momen: Great chicken-based ramen broth
Takako Moriguchi: They serve authentic Japanese foods - the chef is Japanese. The menu is something very common in Japan - like Katsu curry, kimpira, onigiri, etc. if you want to experience true Japanese "greasy spoon" place in Boston, this is the place for you. The resultant reminds me of one of restaurants in Shinjuku station. They have fantastic selection for carry out too. Do you miss bento in Konbini (convenience store) in Japan? They have them!!
Gordon Fu: 味道很好,章鱼小丸子不是很推荐,是油炸的貌似,不是用小丸子机器做出来的。咖喱饭很好吃要是能多一点蔬菜就好了。
Lukas Röllin: Incredible place with amazing food and fair prices.
Tyler Busby: Great small little place, the pork katsu curry cheese really hits the spot.
Aaron Fan: They have soba noodles and it is good!
Sharon Liang: Kara age chicken and oyako were a bit disappointed
John John: One of the best Japanese curry ever in Boston. Try thr pork katsu curry. Katsu is thick and juicy unlike any other place in bos I have neen too.Parking: Pay parking at the building
patrick carroll: Absolutely delicious katsudon
Cameron Purdie: Amazing little place that sells Japanese street food, curries, fried chicken and pork, etc. Everything is fantastic and made with love. Hearty and filling but very affordable.
Andrew Reker: Dine in: Yes Takeout: Yes Delivery: Yes Curbside pickup: NoMore
Elaine Yang: So delicious!! We ordered seafood tempura udon, katsu don, chicken pop and fried oyster. They are all super tasty!! Fried oyster is a must-have :-)
