Bachata Room: what do users think?
Jen Earls: Bachata Room is truly an all-levels, friendly dance environment in which you can come out each week to dance with a group of energizing, kind people. Whether you're just learning and want to take the amazing intro Bachata lesson to improve your skills and confidence, or you're a more advanced dancer and want to enjoy dancing to great music with a variety of diverse, talented dancers, you can count on Bachata Room each week to bring good vibes!
Veronika: It was on the fire as usual. Awesome performances and great dancers
Thalia Batista: I love going out to Bachata Room in Cambridge. It's a great addition to the dance community here in Massachusetts. If you are looking for a dance lesson, meeting new dancers, awesome music selection by DJ Ninrod and great staff... then check out the bachata room! It's my favorite place to go on a Wednesday!
Shelby Elwell: I went to Bachata Room for the first time about a year ago and have been coming every Wednesday ever since! One of my absolute favorite events and run by some pretty incredible people. The vibes are always good, everyone is incredibly welcoming and it's great for those that are just learning and seasoned dancers. Highly recommend!
Welina Farah: Great place for some mid-week salsa and bachata!
Christine Bryant: Great music, super fun!
Monique Mitchell: A good place for mid-week bachata! One of my feel good spaces where I lose track of time dancing!
Shelby Summers: The best night out in Boston!
pfblatx2: Always a great time, I recommend checking out the lesson beforehand!
Roosevelt Segura: The midweek spot to be for the latin scene ! Great music and a friendly atmosphere to dance to🕺🏽💃🏽!
Samantha Boggiano: I always have fun at bachata room on Wednesday! A cute space and great music
Elisabeth Lister: Love the vibe and the dancers there.
L R: Maybe you should care about who’s the security. That guy believe that’s he’s gonna change the world being the most arrogant person that I’ve met here. I’m gonna spread the notice in the college to let everybody know that it’s not worthy to go where a security Latino thinks he’s better that everybody else
Juan Esteban Juancito Rodríguez: Me dá gusto ver los clientes disfrutar de la música que interpretamos, es un honor para mí.

Salsa Y Control: what do users think?
Nathalie Echeverri: I can’t speak highly enough of this dance company. I took salsa level 3 with Johnny & Kelly in Cambridge. They are professional, easy to understand, and made the environment welcoming and non-intimidating. You can tell they love what they do, and it’s a place to go simply to enjoy yourself. They choreograph different combos and I got a lot out of every class and made some new dance friends in the process.
Andreia Felisbino: They are more than instructors , they are positive role models who mentors . They lead and teach people to be the best that they can . If you give yourself a chance to experience it , you will feel what the movement can do to your soul .
Erius Houston: I attended their dance a month or so ago at the Dante Alighieri in Kendall Square. So many outstanding dancers! But I really had problems with the music. I learned to dance salsa on one, and I just could not lead to this music. So I asked some good leads to let me follow and they did. And that’s how learned, after so many years, to dance salsa on two. And I love it!Now I love to dance on two, but I struggle to lead. So I guess I will follow! Gracias, Salsa Y Control!
Andrea Amour: I have had an amazing experience working with Johnny. We have taken bachata, salsa, and "first dance" lessons with him over the last several years. Extremely friendly and an excellent dancer. I'd recommend him highly.
Katherine McCubrey: I did 2 sessions with Andres in Allston last year and it was great...I purchased a punch card to Drop-in but haven’t had the discipline to return. Been attending lessons/social/performances with Andres & his brother & Artem at Havana and Tavern in the Square and I ADORE IT!! Planning on returning to Allston studio to fine-tune technique.
David Resnick: Went to two of their beginner salsa lessons at The Dance Complex in Cambridge. On the plus side, I thought the instruction was pretty decent for a beginner lesson. On the minus side, about twice as many people who wanted to dance lead (largely guys) than follow. Paying $17 for a lesson where you are dancing without a partner half the time didn't appeal to me (a guy) so while I normally learn to dance lead in a new rhythm I decided to dance follow for my second lesson Turns out they have some homophobic twits in their class. Ironically for someone on the receiving end of that, I'm not gay (not that it should matter). I'm just not hung up on the gender of people i learn dance steps with. I told the instructor about my negative experience while signing out and paying. Think that telling me not to pay would be the least one might expect, but, well, apparently not. I'd guess my review would be quite a bit more positive if the lead/follow balance had been better and I had been leading. Certainly I'd discourage people from dancing in their lessons if not doing gender normed lead/follow dance roles. Or if the lead/follow balance isn't decent. Won't be back.

Rumba Y Timbal Dance Company: what do users think?
Víctor CE: Awesome dance studio. I have been dancing bachata here for over a year now and I couldn’t be happier with my progress. Shout out to the great instructors!
Santiago Quintana: It's an amazing place with incredible coaches and a enjoyable vibe. Great for all levels.
Roda Haway: My wife and I were looking for a Dance studio so we can learn how to Dance Salsa and we were so happy we found Rumba Y Timbal Dance Company .We were welcomed to a great dance family and community . The instructors Roberto , Liliana and Carlos were so supportive and we new this was the place we felt at home . We fell in love with classes we were driving to Cambridge four times a week from the suburbs . Now how salsa and bachata is taken to a great level .We recommend this amazing Dance studio to anyone wanting to learn Salsa in an amazing environmentThank You Rumba Y Timbal Dance Company !!
Jose Figueroa: Positive:Professionalism
Perry Wasserbauer: Great teachers, great community of people. They have classes for Salsa and Bachata
Flor Orosz Hunziker: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThis is a great community of caring, excellent and dedicated professionals!
Pierre Jockers: One of the best salsa/bachata schools in the country. Very far above anything else in the Boston and Cambridge area (I have done them all).Great instructors, strong emphasis on technicals, presence of curriculum for every class, flexibility of schedule (classes twice a week) all make progression very fast. Most people who joined got a good level after ~6 months. Also good leader/follower ratio (~50/50 for pretty much all classes - not the case in many other schools, where there are traditionally more leaders, which means leaders learn much less). Also a great community - I feel I have always been treated as a student or a friend, never as a customer.
sushrut palatkar: I started learning salsa with them 2 years ago and have'nt stopped since. I used to dislike dancing before that. The instructors are helpful and the student community is amazing.
Edana Martin: It is great
Derek Clifford: This is a great studio. The hall is clean, well lit and has a great sound system. All the teachers are very good and are amazing dancers who inspire. There is a great atmosphere at Rumba Y Timbal!
Janice - Jaycee McCullough: Always wanted to learn Salsa and 6 months ago my son agreed to be my dance partner (yes, I bribed him), so we signed up with Rumba Y Timbal for the beginner class. We absolutely loved it. After just two months of lessons I was dancing at socials with confidence. Due to my son getting a new job and he had to stop, I lost a dance partner but no biggie for there is always someone to dance with at Rumba Y Timbal and the staff is awesome. If you're not getting a specific move they are there to practice with you after or before class. If you want to learn salsa and you want to feel confident in social settings Rumba Y Timbal is the place to be.
Mei-Chen Liao: I have done zumba for three years. I felt that the workout is good but always wanted to get more dance part. Then I started to join in Rumbatimbal for beginner classes. The main director-Roberto was so passionate and the other dancers are all very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere there is fun and happy. Later, I was eager to learn more sophisticated parts such as lady’s styling or lady’s choreography. Recently I just join the student performance team. I am so excited that I improve so much in short period of time and can’t wait to get on stage in the future.

Gustazo Cuban Kitchen & Bar - Cambridge: what do users think?
Bijan S: Despite having a reservation at this restaurant, we were made to wait for 40 minutes. Finally, we were seated at a table behind the stairs that had a bad odor like feet. The chairs were dirty and even messed up my pants. I requested them to clean the chairs, but they did not show any concern. This was not the first time we experienced such poor service at this restaurant. During our previous visit, we faced a similar issue where we had to repeatedly ask for our drinks which arrived long after we finished our food.

Yuri: One of those places you really have to go, if you're ever on Mass Ave. Every dish I've tried so far has been full of that authentic Cuban passion and wonderfully flavored.Go for the yuca fries! You won't regret them
Reynold Dodson: Mind boggling good restaurant! Every dish is a new experience, and always a good one. Service is great, even when very busy. My favorite place to eat North of the Charles.
Rajat Khadka: WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!! BE AWARE!!! DON’T GO THERE!!I was the regular customer there but from today onwards I will never go there again in my life. It was my sister birthday so made reservation for 8:30 but even with reservation they made us wait for 40 min and after that also they made us sit on high table since there was no table. If they can’t gives us table why the scenario of making reservations and wasting and ruining others night. We got table after waiting and agreeing to sit on high table and after that we gave order in 5 min and they made us wait for hour before they serve us even a glass of water. Server didn’t even came back to check. The other couple of table who came late then us left finishing dinner and we still were there waiting even for a glass of water. I had to yell and manager had to come before they serve us anything. It was horrible experience. If it wasn’t my sister birthday I would have left the restaurant. If you guys can’t give service don’t bother opening restaurant. Hosting was terrible. Managing was awful. I would have given negative star if there was option.BE AWARE BFORE MAKING RESERVATION There. Especially if u are trying to go there for some fun night and relax night. DON’T GO they will make you feel terrible.
Jen T: We've been here 5+ times over the last few years and the food just keeps getting better ! Excellent all around
Roy Charles: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Jiahao Wu: Best Cuban food I never had in BostonRecommended dishes Chicharrones, Yuca Frita, Guacamole Cubano …More
Jarvis Chen: Easily the best Cuban restaurant in the Boston area. Amazing dishes with tons of creativity, good drinks, charismatic staff. They are also a pretty large restaurant spanning two floors, so there is a good amount of space. The ambiance is definitely better on the main floor than in the bottom floor, so try to get a table on ground level.
BHAMA: Charming! Food quality is great... Really Enjoyed
