Rumba Y Timbal Dance Company: what do users think?
Víctor CE: Awesome dance studio. I have been dancing bachata here for over a year now and I couldn’t be happier with my progress. Shout out to the great instructors!
Santiago Quintana: It's an amazing place with incredible coaches and a enjoyable vibe. Great for all levels.
Roda Haway: My wife and I were looking for a Dance studio so we can learn how to Dance Salsa and we were so happy we found Rumba Y Timbal Dance Company .We were welcomed to a great dance family and community . The instructors Roberto , Liliana and Carlos were so supportive and we new this was the place we felt at home . We fell in love with classes we were driving to Cambridge four times a week from the suburbs . Now how salsa and bachata is taken to a great level .We recommend this amazing Dance studio to anyone wanting to learn Salsa in an amazing environmentThank You Rumba Y Timbal Dance Company !!
Jose Figueroa: Positive:Professionalism
Perry Wasserbauer: Great teachers, great community of people. They have classes for Salsa and Bachata
Flor Orosz Hunziker: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThis is a great community of caring, excellent and dedicated professionals!
Pierre Jockers: One of the best salsa/bachata schools in the country. Very far above anything else in the Boston and Cambridge area (I have done them all).Great instructors, strong emphasis on technicals, presence of curriculum for every class, flexibility of schedule (classes twice a week) all make progression very fast. Most people who joined got a good level after ~6 months. Also good leader/follower ratio (~50/50 for pretty much all classes - not the case in many other schools, where there are traditionally more leaders, which means leaders learn much less). Also a great community - I feel I have always been treated as a student or a friend, never as a customer.
sushrut palatkar: I started learning salsa with them 2 years ago and have'nt stopped since. I used to dislike dancing before that. The instructors are helpful and the student community is amazing.
Edana Martin: It is great
Derek Clifford: This is a great studio. The hall is clean, well lit and has a great sound system. All the teachers are very good and are amazing dancers who inspire. There is a great atmosphere at Rumba Y Timbal!
Janice - Jaycee McCullough: Always wanted to learn Salsa and 6 months ago my son agreed to be my dance partner (yes, I bribed him), so we signed up with Rumba Y Timbal for the beginner class. We absolutely loved it. After just two months of lessons I was dancing at socials with confidence. Due to my son getting a new job and he had to stop, I lost a dance partner but no biggie for there is always someone to dance with at Rumba Y Timbal and the staff is awesome. If you're not getting a specific move they are there to practice with you after or before class. If you want to learn salsa and you want to feel confident in social settings Rumba Y Timbal is the place to be.
Mei-Chen Liao: I have done zumba for three years. I felt that the workout is good but always wanted to get more dance part. Then I started to join in Rumbatimbal for beginner classes. The main director-Roberto was so passionate and the other dancers are all very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere there is fun and happy. Later, I was eager to learn more sophisticated parts such as lady’s styling or lady’s choreography. Recently I just join the student performance team. I am so excited that I improve so much in short period of time and can’t wait to get on stage in the future.

Bachata Room: what do users think?
Jen Earls: Bachata Room is truly an all-levels, friendly dance environment in which you can come out each week to dance with a group of energizing, kind people. Whether you're just learning and want to take the amazing intro Bachata lesson to improve your skills and confidence, or you're a more advanced dancer and want to enjoy dancing to great music with a variety of diverse, talented dancers, you can count on Bachata Room each week to bring good vibes!
Veronika: It was on the fire as usual. Awesome performances and great dancers
Thalia Batista: I love going out to Bachata Room in Cambridge. It's a great addition to the dance community here in Massachusetts. If you are looking for a dance lesson, meeting new dancers, awesome music selection by DJ Ninrod and great staff... then check out the bachata room! It's my favorite place to go on a Wednesday!
Shelby Elwell: I went to Bachata Room for the first time about a year ago and have been coming every Wednesday ever since! One of my absolute favorite events and run by some pretty incredible people. The vibes are always good, everyone is incredibly welcoming and it's great for those that are just learning and seasoned dancers. Highly recommend!
Welina Farah: Great place for some mid-week salsa and bachata!
Christine Bryant: Great music, super fun!
Monique Mitchell: A good place for mid-week bachata! One of my feel good spaces where I lose track of time dancing!
Shelby Summers: The best night out in Boston!
pfblatx2: Always a great time, I recommend checking out the lesson beforehand!
Roosevelt Segura: The midweek spot to be for the latin scene ! Great music and a friendly atmosphere to dance to🕺🏽💃🏽!
Samantha Boggiano: I always have fun at bachata room on Wednesday! A cute space and great music
Elisabeth Lister: Love the vibe and the dancers there.
L R: Maybe you should care about who’s the security. That guy believe that’s he’s gonna change the world being the most arrogant person that I’ve met here. I’m gonna spread the notice in the college to let everybody know that it’s not worthy to go where a security Latino thinks he’s better that everybody else
Juan Esteban Juancito Rodríguez: Me dá gusto ver los clientes disfrutar de la música que interpretamos, es un honor para mí.

Moves & Vibes Dancing Academy: what do users think?
Emily Paron: Best dance studio in Massachusetts. I have learned so much dance styles and have not only gained friends- but people whom I can call my family. A great, upbeat and friendly environment that demonstrates a safe space to learn and grow , whether you're starting out as a beginner or intermediate. There's always something new to learn. 10/10 recommend!
Linda Pettway: The dance center overall is a cool spot and you can try out a number of different dance styles and classes no matter what age you are
Zaya Amgaabaatar: Very friendly staff!
Jeff Connor: Inna was our dance instructor for our first dance at our July wedding. Truth be told, my (the husband) dancing experience was no more than moving to the beat (and not spilling my beer) at college and house parties (my wife has been dancing well for years). Inna was patient, funny, and got me into a position where I felt comfortable (and couldn’t wait) for the first dance. We enjoyed our first dance and it went by smoothly. We recommend her to anyone (especially those with two left feet!!)
Brian Cox: Inna is amazing! My fiancé and I booked a private lesson with Inna to prepare for our wedding. She was quick to respond and flexible in booking. The lesson itself was exactly what we were looking for. Neither of us are dancers so we weren’t looking for anything too complicated. Inna taught us simple, but elegant steps that look good and are in our skill level. She made us feel comfortable and confident to do the dance for our big day. Inna was patient and kind and I’d highly recommend her!
Allan Baumer: Went here to learn how to dance for my wedding. I think we grew a lot. I had just about zero experience going into it, but after a few lessons we got the movements down.
Masha Amelina: Best sensual dance school in Boston hands down! Classes are so much fun and teachers are awesome!
HKF Construction: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Monica Andrade: We were recommended by a friend who recently got married and had Inna as their dance instructor and she was great. Very patient. AJ and I have no clue how to dance and she made it seem like we knew what we were doing! Everyone was shocked it only took us five weeks to learn our dance. I would definitely recommend Inna to anyone getting married and looking for dance lessons!
Carlos Sales: Show de bola...o salão de dança com o professor Carlos. A comida precisa melhorar...mas isso é responsabilidade do clube.

Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Cambridge: what do users think?
Larisa Gorbatova: Absolutely best choice for those who is fond of dancing! Very professional team and amazing atmosphere! I moved to Cambridge last November, and was looking for a dance school, where I could try various dance styles. Arthur Murray Cambridge had a lot of information on its website, unlike some of the other studios I tried, and Christian, one of the co-owners, responded very quickly to my request. In a week I became a student, and now it's kind of a second home to me as well as to some of my fellow students. The guys are doing fantastic job, not only teaching you how to dance, but also inspiring you to find your own way of dancing through life❤️
Tiffany Wong: Arthur Murray Cambridge is truly a gem of a studio. The staff is so professional and friendly and they really strive to make each lesson effective. My husband and I went originally to choreograph and learn our wedding dance but we've continued taking lessons over a year later! It's a great activity to do as a couple and I love feeling more comfortable with moving my body. Our instructor Lance is the BEST!! He knows everything. There are lots of group lessons as well so you can learn outside of your personal lessons. Mady is so fun, Ruben has so much flair and Dave breaks down topics so well. It's also such a joy to see Natalie's radiant personality at the desk every time I'm there! :)
Olaf Christensen: What a great place to be!When I entered the Arthur Murray Cambridge studio for the very first time I was just planning to take a few private dance lessons in preparation for our anniversary party. Needless to say, I got hooked immediately and haven’t stop dancing since. The instructors are fun, amazing and talented; always trying to accommodate my dancing skills and needs. Under Christian’s and Kia’s lead, they make this studio a unique, artistic but relaxed, yet vibrant place. I think that’s what attracts most of the students and makes socializing easy. You just want to be part of the team.In the beginning I was terrified to put myself out there, to dance in front of other people or to participate at any of the ( absolutely fun!) studio events, but the instructors helped me to feel comfortable, and build up my dancing self esteem. Now I can’t wait to dance my next solo and participate in bigger events like the Dance-O-Rama.Kudos to Natalie who always welcomes me with a smile, but most of all to my wonderful teachers! Rubin, you not only made me fall in love with Lindy Hop, but you also opened me up to a whole new world of dance! Lance, you add a special spark to every dance! My only regret is that I didn’t discover the Arthur Murray Cambridge Dance studio earlier!Isabella
Sumaiya Iqbal: Arthur Murray Dance studio at Cambridge is my happy place :)Starting to dance there was a part of my exploratory actions to find an activity and a place to be carefree, smile, perform, express myself, ... and love myself! And I found all of that in Arthur Murray Dance studio! My trainers, Rubin and Dave, are passionate, funny, caring, and above all, great dancers! But all the other staff are warm and welcoming. I highly, highly recommend Arthur Murray Dance studio at Cambridge!
Caroline Kerr: We started out taking lessons here for our wedding and stayed because it was a super fun community. The staff is all amazing and welcoming and it's a great place to learn to dance. They have social dance parties to practice your skills as well too!
Charlotte Slate: We had dance lessons before our wedding with Melissa and we can’t say enough about her. Melissa was so engaged, fun, PATIENT, and welcoming. She truly made us enjoy the whole process and helped us create the perfect and most fun dance for our wedding. Highly recommend taking lessons here!!
Anjanay Kumar: I've deeply enjoyed my time at Arthur Murray. The lessons are fantastic, but the larger offering of group, social variety, and skill classes are the real value proposition the studio offers. I went from being uncomfortable with partner dancing to able to hold my own in completely foreign dances based on my experiences over the course of 2 months at Arthur Murray, and I'm looking forward to the next two months and more.
Aimee Browne: I have had a wonderful experience at Arthur Murray of Cambridge. The community of dancers and teachers here are so kind and welcoming, it is a fan, relaxing and inspiring environment. The teachers listen to what you hope to achieve and tailor lessons to you specifically and work at a pace that is appropriate for you. I would highly recommend this studio if you're looking to learn!
Mia Tong: Arthur Murray looks nice from the outside but beware of constantly changing instructors and noisy surroundings. I got message reminders prior to lessons but an instructor contacted me via phone call to reschedule me and left a voicemail without confirming the new time. Then when I showed he waited ten minutes and feigned ignorance before letting me know that he left a message. It was a waste of my time as a customer and unprofessional behavior. The worst is that it was clear that it was prompted by a time that there was some tardiness on our side but to retaliate against the customer/client is not professional behavior and is rather rude and disrespectful. Overall it gave the sense of being uncoordinated because I was sent a message via IM which the instructor denied any knowledge of but was told in under 24 hrs via a voicemail of a different time and then told that the time that was confirmed via IM couldn't have possibly been scheduled, thus making it appear that it was my misunderstanding. Then we were condescended for missing the voicemail. It was unpleasant and bizarre, and meant to place blame on the customer/client.
Amanda Galeno: I had the most magical experience at this studio on a Friday night. I had been at the restaurant next door for what was supposed to be a first date...The gentleman did not show up. As I returned to my car a bit bummed and embarrassed, I looked up and saw the Arthur Murray studio.Inside were stunning chandeliers and people dancing beautifully. I decided to go in and check it out. I'm so glad I did. I was greeted by a welcoming, diverse, and extremely talented staff. When I explained what had happened they were able to create a lesson for me and I was on the dance floor smiling and twirling within 10 minutes. It was the perfect balance of fun and technique. They turned what could have been a depressing evening into a night of pure joy. I will definitely be returning to this studio.
Jane Smith: The first time I went I almost left because I was so nervous but I am very happy that I stayed. I was first greeted by Kat who is super nice. She introduced me to Christian who sat with me and asked me about why I was interested in dancing and explained my first lesson and then he introduced me to my instructor Tom. I have been going for a few weeks and now work with Lance. I didn’t think I would like having two instructors but I do like the different variety of teaching. When I am dancing I feel like a different person. I never thought I would be comfortable enough to stick with it. Everyone there is so patient and encouraging. I am so happy that I didn’t turn and leave and can’t wait to learn more!
Ada F.: Fun time with friendly and supportive everyone.
Raina Searles: Love taking dance classes here with my husband! We’ve been able to learn all the basics of dance and start advancing our skills.
Rachel Carron: I loved taking dance lessons here! Mac was a great and attentive dance teacher and kept things light and fun. We will be back for more lessons and social classes! The studio is awesome and attainable with offerings of free classes/events through Nift
Adam Kalai: Fun, friendly and skilled teachers. Helped me overcome my fear of dancing. Thanks!
Cambridge Ivy Inn: Outstanding and dedicated team of instructors that soon become your friends, leaders, and followers! All you need is the attitude - they supply the rest, the community, the joy of dancing, the muscle memory, and will babysit your lack of rhythm. It only takes a month to get out of the fog, to find your feet and hips. Price wise, I was skeptical at first - it is my nature, hahah. But if you take advantage of the many skills sessions offered for free, you will find it an amazing value. 6 stars !!! - Mark
Sam Naseef: We couldn't recommend Arthur Murray more highly! We wanted to prepare for our first wedding dance, and needed something to do while we were stuck inside over quarantine winter, so we turned to Arthur Murray and their virtual dance class offerings. Everyone we interacted with at Artur Murray was extremely talented, very helpful, and excited to help us in whatever way they could. We learned multiple dances that went along with our song, plus some other dances for quicker songs. The coaches also gave us a framework for the choreography so that we could have something to work from that made the dance look and feel great, and didn't require memorizing exactly what to do step by step for the entire song.It felt as though everyone at Arthur Murray was personally invested in making our first dance exactly what we wanted it to be.
Rose Iorillo: I've walked by this studio every day for the past couple of years, and finally had the chance to check it out after being gifted a couple of free lessons. I had SO MUCH FUN! My instructor was super outgoing and we laughed a lot, but he also was a very clear teacher. I have years of dance experience that for the most part was social dancing, so he really focused on the technique without making me feel overwhelmed. The lessons aren't cheap, and this is definitely a more professional focus as opposed to dancing casually, but as I mentioned, it's a lot of fun. Would recommend for someone interested in leveling up and/or showcasing a lot of different styles of dance.
An Phan: The studio is spacious, well kept, the air is clean with room filters, masks are mandated, hand sanitizers abound, attendance is limited to comply with Covid 19 regulations. The instructors Alex and Dan are highly qualified, energetic, friendly and flexible to students' schedule. I love coming to AM Dance studio in Cambridge for the energy of the place and the incredible learning experience from both individual instructions with extra added teachers and from useful group classes.
William Rowell: Great staff and studio
Kelly O'Connell: My husband and I have been going here for beginner dance lessons since shortly before the pandemic. Not only has this studio adapted to the COVID situation (temperature checks, gloves, hand sanitizer, limited occupancy, etc), but they have maintained a positive attitude and creative vibe throughout the whole thing. Every time we walk in, the staff knows our name and genuinely asks how we are doing. They really make us feel like family. That type of community keeps us coming back over and over. I highly recommend giving this place a try and learning something new!

Q Ballroom: what do users think?
R M H: I watched the hosts and admissions people be stunningly rude, insulting, and snobbishly unprofessional to several guests. If you just want to have fun and learn this might not be the place for you.
Adrian Obleton: My wife and I had a wonderful experience taking a private ballroom dance lesson at this studio. It was our first time trying any kind of ballroom dance, and our instructor Stas was fantastic. He patiently taught us the basic steps for Salsa, Rumba, and Foxtrot, and we had a lot of fun in the process. We're already thinking about coming back for more lessons. Highly recommend this studio and Stas as an instructor!
Glenn Webber: Fun dancing
Meghan Lynch: I have taken a handful of ballroom dances lessons in Massachusetts and other spots around the USA, and Q Ballroom is hands down the absolute best. Every staff member is wonderful and the instructors are equally passionate and insanely talented. This is your best option for a ballroom studio if you are looking to take classes just for fun, to become a competitive ballroom dancer, or to learn some basic skills for your wedding first dance. If you are about to get married you have the option of taking a private lesson or participating in one of their wedding workshops! I absolutely love Stas's teaching style and Q Ballroom's tiered level system so you can keep improving & taking classes in a group setting with all new steps. I have completed Level 5 & Level 6 so far and plan to be back again as soon as my musical theatre show season finishes up or aligns with the class schedule. Q Ballroom is the best of the best and I can't recommend them enough!
Monire Jalili: Great place to fall back in love with dancing.
Harrison James (Htrom): Boston Swing Central is awesome! Thank you for running these events!!
Daniel Peralta: Me encanta este lugar para prácticas de tango
Kris C.: Despite the crowded location, Q Ballroom was a great studio for my fiancee and I to take private lessons for our upcoming wedding. We worked with Helle who was super helpful and friendly. In 5 lessons we felt prepared! But all of the instructors we encountered oozed experience and professionalism. The interior is nice and clean, although during peak hours you might need to share the floor with several others as there is only a single but large space for dancing. Price wise they are comparable to other studios we looked at in the area.I highly recommend Q Ballroom and will likely return for more lessons in the future!

Dance Complex: what do users think?
Kyle Johnson: Not so hidden gem
Duckenson Castel: So much have changed here. Recently started taking classes and I love it. Bathroom are kept clean, it's super easy to take classes here. You do have to sign in with the instructors online or walk-in and pay in person. Would absolutely recommend you create an account on mind and body, follow the in-person schedule and go from there. Majority of the studios are very spacious as well. The staff is super awesome and amicable, which makes you want to keep coming back. And I love how they started incorporating mindfulness practices before/during majority of the classes. And a wide variety of dance genres and cultures.Overall great experience, love this place.
Phil Cohen: Dance Complex is awesome. Try capoeira
Kirsten Williams: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
Sarah B - she her: Positive:Communication,QualityWelcoming, inclusive dance studio in the heart of Cambridge. Instructors are qualified, skillful dancers and encouraging teachers. I always feel safe to push past my comfort zone here.
Gustave Laflare: Critical:ProfessionalismThis place is stealing people’s money and refuse to refund your money. AVOID GOING THERE!
Lisa Fusaro: Amazing so much fun. Natalie was awesome. Thank you so much
Londyn Korol: Reminds one of stereotypical, old fashioned dance studios with winding wooden stairs and exposed brick. Lovely building. A couple weird spots in the Studio 3 floor but nothing crazy. Easy to find, bike rack out front, lots of street parking.
brian cooper: Positive:Communication,Professionalism
Shanelle S: Three-floored community with a variety of dance classes. Came here on a Saturday for an impromptu Samba dance class at 1:30pm. It’s just one stop away on the red line from Harvard, so it’s a convenient option for students. It’s $15 for the samba class, but they’ll take cash and credit card. There’s a Santander right across the street if you need an ATM, since some of the classes are cash only. Note for Bank of America cardholders, there is a $3 ATM fee. There is a gender neutral bathroom availableThe 1:30-3pm Samba class was super fun. It was my first time doing Samba, but the teacher was super energetic and there are plenty of other beginners so you don’t have to feel awkward. You can put your stuff on the right hand side along the wall, and there’s plenty of mirror space so you can watch yourself shake it. There were people of all ages and it was good vibes all around. It started with a warm up and then payment, and then the actual Samba class. There was even a live band that played while we danced. At the end, there was a dance circle and everyone left sweaty but happy. The dance center overall is a cool spot and you can try out a number of different dance styles and classes no matter what age you are. I noticed on the bulletin board they have kid classes as well.
Tonya Lockwood: “ Afro Flow yoga is lit.” Andrew, 11 years old.
Rocephin W: The staff was very friendly.
Rohan Patel: Great location but not really great from inside.Good:1) the location. Right into Central square connecting to bus and train.2) price and classes: thrle salsa class I got deal on Groupon had 50% off and the instructor is super amazing.Bad:1. The entire building is super old. Not enough space for crowd waiting for next class, the bathrooms smells worse than public restrooms. And changing rooms are joined with those smelly toilets.2. Noise: People out from other classes are totally inconsiderate of other classes going and make so much noise that almost impossible to listen to your instructor. Sadly management doesn't care about it3. Building quality: building is not meant for dance classes as the windows shake due to dancea going on a floor above you and the noise of footsteps are completely distracting. Will I consider going for a class next time?Yes. If I get 50% off deal then I will.No. If I am paying good amount of money for the classes.
Mahala Burn: I find that the Dance Complex feels like the local community centers of my childhood- a bit ramshackle, but very functional for its purpose and full of friendly people of all ages, shapes, and backgrounds. It serves in a way an Equinox would never want to. Over the years, I've taken Haitian, West African, Nia, and Modern here and felt I was in a safe and supportive environment to move and express myself. The instructors are widely varied yet consistently skilled and inclusive, and for most classes there is great flexibility for dropping in when you are able given challenging work or personal schedule demands. I would definitely recommend if you feel you are lacking in community and/or need to find a place to move without judgement.
T: Amazing...full of culture good people and fun
Jenna Sunshine: The Dance Complex is great! They're a nonprofit organization that's really into keeping performing arts alive. It's a big place with a great vibe. There's a very comfortable down to earth atmosphere, and although there are advanced dancers there, you can be brand new to dance, and/or be older or heavier and you WON'T feel awkward there. Most of the classes and students are beginner to intermediate. There's a huge variety of classes offered there & you can view the class schedule on their website. Most of the class rooms are rented out by the hour to various instructors or companies, so you'd most likely be paying the instructor or their assistant. I point this out because people frequently ask why they can't sign up online. So the instructor is renting the room, and the students are paying the instructor, NOT the Dance Complex. I suggest you look at their schedule online and if you see a class you're interested in, click through to the description and you'll see how to sign up and whether a class is drop-in or session based. If the class you're interested in is a drop in class, then don't worry about the logistics of signing up & paying in advance, just show up, bring cash with you, and the instructor or their aide will help you & get you all set up. If you have any interest in dance but you're nervous because you have no experience, then THIS is the place to go! If you are new to dance, don't worry, you won't walk into a scary environment with professional dancers everywhere looking at you; instead you'll see many beginners, and people of all different sizes, races, ages and no one there is judgemental. Dance on!
Pasqualino Ferralis: Excellent dance school of various genres, excellent teachers
Stephanie Ruiz: I don't hate it or like it i love it
Yi-Hsin Lin: Great place to learn dance. The atmosphere is very laid back. You just show up and pay the teacher directly. Sometimes the price is a little different than what's stated on the website though.Every teacher has been very friendly and supportive, even if it turns out their class isn't the right style/level for you. Classes seem to have regular crowds attending, so the class does progress over the course of the semester while remaining friendly to drop-ins. Highly recommended!
Peter Galvin: The nexus of dance in Boston/Cambridge. Love the classes and the dance community centered here. It's a gem of life in the city.
Adee C: Idk why someone said that the bathrooms small cuz it doesn't and is actually SUPER neat. Everyone is really nice and supportive. The classes are killers! Totally recommend~👍
