Andrew Aldridge: The proprietor has a very bad attitude. The quality of his work is actually good and his prices are probably fair enough. HOWEVER if you lose your ticket he thinks he owns your shoes. This would actually be theft, if anyone wants to take this disagreeable man, with his dishonest and unamerican ideas about business, to court. I’ve probably put $250 worth of repairs thru this shop since it came under his management. Suffice it to say I shall go elsewhere in future...
Josh McGrath: Had three different pairs of dress shoes serviced here. New soles on all of them and cleaned up. Happy with the service, would go back.
Amanda Filardo: Honestly I would give this place a 0 if I could.I didn't get a call that my shoes had been repaired so two weeks later I went in the shop. At this point I had lost my ticket. No where in the shop did it say there was a policy for loosing your ticket and I walked right in and saw them behind the counter, confirming they were mine with a phone number check. I would have understood if it was hard to find them or if he was nicer, but he charged me 10 extra dollars for loosing it, it was shoddy work, and he told me I had "learned my lesson on loosing tickets." When someone in the service industry tells a grown person they don't know that they learned their lesson, they are going to get a bad review.
Janae Green: The worst service I have ever experienced. Walked in today to get a pair of shoes repaired and was met with rude service from the owner. He began yelling and throwing things and evidently he has not received customer service training. He snatched shoes out of my hand and threw money at me after raising the price. Prices were not posted and he never said there was a up charge for same day repairs. I have been going to the this shop since I was a little girl under the previous management and I have never received such horrible service and I will be never be returning.

He used racial slurs and snatched shoes out of my hand. If you are in the Medford area DO NOT frequent this business.
Devin Plummer: I brought my golf bag in to have the zipper looked at. Very quick and straight forward assessment. I left the golf bag overnight, and received a call the next day saying it was fixed. Zipper works great now - looks brand new, and the cost to fix was very reasonable. Would highly recommend checking this place out if you ever have a similar issue.
Drew Keller: Absolutely amazing service! Such a thoughtful father-daughter team running the operation that handled my torn boots with the utmost care and responsibility. Had them looking as good as new within a day. They even disinfected the shoes and their workspace between jobs for Covid protocols. Highly recommend and will absolutely be a returning customer in the future.

Sara Stauffer: I have had a vintage purse that belonged to my Grandmother for years and it meant the world to me. One day I accidentally got a huge tear in it and I was heartbroken. I had gone to several other places to see if anyone could fix it and they wouldn’t take the job on. I had just happened to pass by Medford Shoe Repair and thought I might as well try one last place. I told Greg the story of the purse, and really understood the importance of the purse to me, took on the job and handled it with care!! He fixed it perfectly, and you can’t even tell where the tear was. I’m so thankful for his work. I’d 10/10 recommend taking any leather, purse, shoe or boot repair need to this wonderful father-daughter owned business.

Lina Bracewell: I got an amazing pair of Steve Madden snake skin boots from my daughter for Christmas. Holy cow were they gorgeous! But then I put them on and oh no, my thighs unfortunately were a little too large for the boot. Off to Medford Shoe Repair I went where the father daughter duo, Greg and Karina went right to work. My measurements were submitted, consultation complete, and off I went knowing these boots were in the best of hands. It didn’t take long at all before my beloved boots were ready. I put them on in anticipation and they fit perfectly! Thank you Medford Shoe Repair! They know their stuff and they are the best!

Connor McMillan: Great experience here. I brought in a pair of zippered boots to have a zipper on one repaired. When I got the boots back, the zipper had been fixed but the soles of both shoes had been replaced and they had been shined to perfection. Excellent customer service, like getting brand new shoes for half the price.

Angel Hart: The absolute best place to have your shoes repaired, stretched or conditioned. He also fixes leather coats, bags, ect. Sammy's prices are excellent. He will get your shoes back to you in a timely manner. He's also very honest.
brian gibson: I told the man there I didn't want to spend more than $30 to repair my $75 luggage and to not do anything until I received his estimate then he called me about a week later and without discussing it with me said he did the work and it would be $50. He only replaced 2 wheels on my 4 wheel bag and one he worked on , he didn't tighten it up so its loose and angled with weight on it till I make the repair completed. I won't return to give them more business!

I bought my UGGs to be repaired for a small tear & he offered to clean them for an extra charge..When I picked up my UGGs not only was the hole bigger but he ruined my UGGs .. he did not clean it with the proper Cleaning kit and lifted up the dye from my UGGs turningthe white. I showed him the before and after pictures and he proceeded to argue with me. Overall terrible service I would not recommend anyone go there with expensive shoes because now $200 boots in the trash !!

Ramatu Kandakai: What a steal, you can get each shoe repair for $7, no matter what the damage! It is great for those missing heels, tears and scruffs. The gentleman is great with getting your shoes back to you in a timely manner. You just give him a deadline and he meets it, and call you to pick them up.
K Grey (KG): If you want your faith in humanity restored, take your business here. It is an unassuming little repair shop with big heart. The owner could not possibly be nicer and he is incredibly fair (if not underpriced). Had my shoes stretched there and I am very impressed with the service and expert advice I received.

trinitylancer: I had a sneaker repaired there, left it on a Monday picked it up on a Thursday morning and he did a wonderful job. I have a bunion on my right foot and what happens is that over the course of 3 to 4 months the material favoring that side of my foot separates allowing water to seep in even if walking across a dewy lawn. The repair was great, the thread he used was a better grade than the original. He saved half of a $170 pair of sneakers for $15. I'll be taking future sneaker issues as described above back to The Cobbler Shop for sure. Again if for any reason material has pulled apart from a sneaker that had been originally sewed in place, The Cobbler Shop can repair it.

Tandy Jacobs: Really 2.5 stars. I took my leather flats there to get the side stitching redone about a year ago b/c it was coming apart. He did a decent job, ‘though his replacement stitching was a bit crooked. Fine.I recently took my tall leather boots there to have the zipper replaced. He did that adequately, but when I picked up my shoes the heel of the boot was crushed, and any form it once had in the heel was gone. In the back of the heel and toe there’s a stiff insert b/t the upper and interior material or the leather stiffened to helps keep the form. this was destroyed. It was like someone w/ oversized feet stuck them in my boot and walked on the heels until they were crushed down. I suspect the damage was due to some machine he used and not a fat-footed stranger stretching out my boots. W/ the heel damaged, the fit isn’t the same -- like socks that are constantly slipping down. I was able to re-tighten the leather a bit manually w/ heat which helped a little. But he charged me about the same a new pair of low-priced flats. I was fine w/ the price b/c I’d like to help my community during the pandemic since I'm still pulling in a decent income. BUT when I get a service done, what I get back shouldn’t be stretched, broken or otherwise malformed, and I should not have to go home and do extra work to make it fit properly… which I’m still working on.... and I could see the glue on he used creeping out-- I had to trim the excess. (Does a zipper really need glue?)

They will just “match as best they can.” In my case, that meant taking an extra week to mismatch a grey Marc Jacobs handbag that now looks like someone toon paste to the seams and edges. When questioned about how I could blend it better they were dismissive and shrugged at me. Won’t be coming back.

Steve Faber: Had my heavy duty hiking boots resoled. When I picked them up, the collar on the top of the ankle was also repaired (something I didn't think was going to be possible as the leather was so thick.Beautiful job for very fair price. Will travel the considerable distance to have any shoe repair done by this artisan.PS - Back when I first discovered him (I believe his shop was in Walpole at the time) I learned that he also will make custom shoes or hiking boots from scratch. He is a master craftsman.

Beth Rizzo: I went in here after reading reviews because I needed to have a purse strap shortened. I wasn’t quite sure how it would be done, but this man is an expert at his craft. He took one look at the strap, could see that it was way too long on me and we measured what we thought would be the right length for the strap. I didn’t want to leave the bag. It has sentimental value for me, and asked if I could just leave the strap with him to fix and I would come back for it. He asked me if I could wait 10 minutes and said he could do it right now. The work is impeccable and it’s perfect. Bless him! What a lost art form. I hope he is in business for many, many years. Excellent work, a super kind and professional man.

I bought three pairs a fry boots and the zippers were basically junk and I brought the boots into him and he replaced the zippers and the stitching next to the zippers for $50 a pair. The boots are very expensive and the zippers that they sell on the boots are cheap quality, and he put very nice zippers in so they wouldn’t bust when I wore them which was what was happening. Not only did it extend the boots a little in the calf area, it was so much easier to zip up. Highly recommend! He did it in one day!

Im here its closed website says open, the sign on the door also says closed tomorrow. I was told to come back Today. Phone number does not have a mailbox.
