Deepika Pr: What a Hidden Gem of a store!My friend and I were thinking of going fabric shopping together to Godwin african market in Lowell but she found another store. Even though M.J is usually not open on Sundays, the owner was happy to open just for us.We were looking forward to fabrics but what we weren't prepared for was a primer in All things Wax prints. From the history to how they are produced and how Vlisco gained popularity and even some pointers on how to spot fake wax prints. The owner Jacqueline was a wealth of information and was very generous with her time. And its because she is a sewist herself and wants to know what people are making with her fabrics.I even learned what different symbols on each fabric mean. What a treat!Have you bought anything from this store? If yes were the prices competitive? Yes, I bought two. One a 3 yard cut from a 6 yard Vlisco print and the other from the remnant bin. Incidentally both were the same print in different color ways ;)The Vlisco was expensive ($120 for the whole 6 yards). I have no idea whether or not it is competitive but I am happy to support an indie store.Were the sales people polite and friendly? Yes, Jacqueline is super friendly.How would you rate the quality of the item this store sells? The fabric does seem to be legit. I washed it yesterday and it was just fine.How was your shopping experience. Is there anything you did not like about this store? See above. I highly recommend this store and will be going there again whenever I need more (like I need more???) Wax print fabric.Would you shop here again? Absolutely.Would you recommend this store to others? Yes! Even if you don't sew with Wax prints, get yourself a remnant and make a bag! This store is an absolute treat.Any other comments you would like to add? There are wax prints from Vlisco and other manufacturers here. They are at all different price points. Some are $30 for 6 yards. And if RTW clothing is your jam there are those too here. I believe they are all sewn by her. I think she will also sew for you if you have anything specific in mind.

Brenda Flynn: This amazing store carries a bit of Africa to downtown Lowell. It's full of the most gorgeous fabrics. Half of the store is already made up, with beautiful clothing for men and women in a variety of African designs - often one size fits all. The other half of the offering is a tailoring store where the proprietess will take your measurements manage the process of getting you a perfectly fitting, tailored dress. You can pick several styles, all of African origin. One of my favorite of her offerings is a neat synthesis of New England fall colors and fabrics in a super flattering Ghanean cut. In addition to clothing, this store also has a large variety of cosmetics & hair care products popular in Africa.

James Anderson: Imagine buying a $100 “official Red Sox gear” shorts only for them to begin to rip and stitching fall out a week later. I only wore them 2x and the material began falling apart. Cheap material. I’ve witness their employees giving their friends discounts secretly as well.

There were plenty of staff around but they were engaged in the wrong direction. These are the reasons behind my low rating. I will review this establishment very soon with another review.

Michaela Merrill: I had a lot of money in my pocket tonight and was definitely looking to spend it on a new pair of kicks and a nice winter jacket, gifts, etc.. I was in that store for 45 minutes to almost an hour and not one person asked me if I needed help with anything. How am I supposed to spend money at the store and buy sneakers there if I can't be shown any from the back because nobody wants to help you in the store? Really, that's your job is to help customers. Well, Monday night not 1 SINGLE Person asked if I needed help with Anything! I'll take my money somewhere else and that's exactly what I did tonight. It stinks because I do like the clothes at the store.

Kayla Davis: On Saturday morning (12/15/19) the Jordan 11 bred dropped. I went to Eblens because that’s where I always go for shoe drops. I won the raffle for the men’s and this time they said the youth sizes were first come first serve, so I showed up at 730 to wait in line(opened at 8). After we’re allowed inside they tell us that the youth sizes could not ring up for some reason. They gave us all tickets and told us it would be 15 MINUTES!!! We waited over an hour and half for them to decide to do paper receipts because they were too lazy to do so from the beginning! The manager was completely unprofessional and did not know how to handle the situation at all. It was the worst experience ever. People were about to start a riot in the store! I called the DM and the lady didn’t even have the decency to call me back and apologize. I will NEVER be back to this Eblens and I will continuously recommend people avoid this horrible store.

They closed the dressing rooms down at 8:30 so clothes I wanted to try on i couldn't so I left empty handed and that's a first. They should allow you to take more than three items in you have to try everything on get dressed take them out and get 3 more. They should have mirrors in the store so you don't need to go into a dressing room to try on a simple jacket.girls behind the register talking among themselves in a different language while they have a line full of people.. makes you wonder if they were talking about you cuz we were all looking at each other just waiting for them to finish their conversation sorry to inconvenience you ladies

When I first got into the store a lady got to go in there... but when I asked politely a worker said it was “closed” the lady who said was very rude so we asked to talk to the manger and once again very rudely she said she was the manger and we said we were going to call her boss and then other coworkers all very rudely said “go ahead” me and my mother felt attacked. I don’t know about anyone else but I’m not going to buy any clothing without trying it on first so I walked to the register put all my items up and left, I would have nicely put them back on my own if they weren’t so rude to me and my mother. Definitely never going to this store again...

Last Saturday I had no time to try on some clothes and for this reason I asked specifically for the return policy.I was informed that within 7 days + the receipt I could be able to return it.Today (day 6) I went by to exchange some items and was told ( RUDELY ) that I can’t return one of the items ( bodysuit ).Extremely rude cashier/manager.Was wrongly informed and had the worse customer service ever.
