Breanna Martel: Wow!!! This place is awesome. I was in a bind coming home from work finding out my puppy went into heat. The two staff members greated me when I first walked in and directed me to the dog diapers and cleaning supplies. I usually shop at another holistic pet supply store, but Google alerted me to this place. My first impression was woah they have a lot of stuff in here. But in a good way. It looks like a pet paradise, so many toys and treats to choose from, the dog bakery... Was so cute, and then I saw they sold animals... I was a little iffy about that, but you could tell all the animals were well cared for. I love how big of a selection they have for dogs big and little. The fact that they are family owned and not a chain store is one of the best parts. I highly recommend this store for anyone looking for unique pet items as well as a welcoming environment. They definitely have a new customer for life!!!
Lisa Vogal: GREAT PLACEI have been to 3 of their events and always have so much fun, Last Saturday was free photos with the Easter bunny and we got a free thank you gift bag when we left. All the events are free and what I like most about this family owned place is that they donate to many charities like foster children and leukemia foundations. My only Pet store!
Carter McKie: The management of this place is a disaster. It was expressed to a manager I had a pet I was being forced to give up and was looking for a new home for her, I was told that they would be happy to take her. After another week of searching for a home, I decided it was right to surrender her at Healthy Pet because I knew she would be loved and cared for there. When I brought her in, I signed and dated a release of ownership, and left feeling like I had done the right thing in the interest of my pet. 30 minutes later I was being told that I legally have to come back and get her because she doesn’t have vet records, which were never given to me when I got her in the first place. I go back, re-read the agreement I signed and note that under the agreement and per elements of contract, legally, this animal is not mine and no where in the agreement does it say anything about records. The MoD calls the owner who then comes to the store thinking for some reason that I wanted to take her back and then proceeded to attack my fiancé and I saying that I’m causing him headache and that I don’t care about the animal because I mentioned that upon signing the agreement, re-homing her was no longer legally my responsibility. The miscommunication between the management is not on my hands, that’s the company’s own internal control issue. Yes, the manager never should have said they could take her, but to the extent of communication and the agreement made between myself and the representative of Healthy Pet that I worked with, Healthy Pet was happy to take her for me. The situation was handled poorly by the owner in his inability to take accountability for the miscommunication and the employees not being trained properly. I will not bring business here nor do I recommend this pet store.
Kara Goodrich: I was told my ferret could be “donated” here, I brought her there under the impression she will be loved and cared for until she found a new home. 30min. Later I get a call saying I need to come get her and that I still own her. I signed a paper releasing her to them. I come back to come get her and they say “no” and that “I don’t love her” I can not keep her, she’s an escape artist and upon from being worried about her getting into things she has gotten out of the apartment and the landlord said that can’t happen. So the owner starts insulting me and my fiancé and saying we aren’t good owners and we never should have taken her there when the manager reached out and said they will “happily take her.” So here I am knowing my Pearl is in bad hands and there isn’t anything I can do about it. This review is to warn people who are in tough situations and can’t keep their pets. Don’t bring them here thinking they will be cared for and loved until they find a home. My sweet girl is now stuck there. The owner is a nasty man, employees were clueless on the donation process. He said they aren’t a shelter and we shouldn’t have brought her there yet they have a folder of dozens of copies on animal release agreements. Terrible business I will NEVER recommend this awful place.

The customer service is outstanding. They allow you to interact with the animals before you adopt them. This way you can find the correct match. Everything is such high quality. Steven Joseph: We love stopping here on our cigarette runs to Smokers Lane. The store is big and very clean/organized. Plenty of products in stock and employees spread throughout. It does feel more open/empty of shelves as of recent. They have a cat adoption area with viewing but the cats were gone for the holidays. The one thing drove me crazy is unlike Massachusetts where everything has to be priced, I couldn't find a price for several products and there are no price scanners in the store except the registers. Other than that the store is very well kept.
Belle Malin: This store is pretty great as far as petsmarts or petcos go. Mostly clean, the dog trainer NOW is phenomenal, but their old trainer was dreadful. Give it a shot now if you had a bad experience. It's well worth it.

Madison D.: 0 stars. I ran out of hay today and my local tractor supply didn’t have what I needed, so I had to unfortunately go to the pet store. The closest one was the Petco In Amherst NH. Absolutely horrendous and exactly why I do not go to pet stores. The Guinea pigs were being kept in a tiny fish tank with NO hay. Hay is 80% of their diet and they need access to it 24/7. I attempted to ask a manager to please give them hay, and he REFUSED. He refused and said they only get hay twice a day and they already ate it so they don’t get anymore. When I attempted to inform him of Guinea pigs diet he refused to accept the information and stated they will not get any hay. Please do not shop here. I am a volunteer at a nonprofit rescue and this is not acceptable care of these poor piggies. Please do not support this store as they are intentionally neglecting these animals and not feeding them properly. This is the exact reason why our rescue is so overrun with thousands of Guinea pigs because of pet stores like this one.

Colin Cook: We recently decided to setup a small fish tank at home. We went to Petco and I can't say I had the highest of expectations for help on getting the tank setup. However, Allyssa (hopefully I spelled her name right), who is a Manager there, was absolutely fantastic. She helped us pick on the tank, make sure we knew how to get it setup properly, pick out our fish, and then even take good care of us when a few of the fish didn't make it through the first day. My kids love having the fish and I was rally impressed with the service we received.

The Hollow Knight: I had picked up a Naoko’s Fairy Wrasse from Jay’s and within a week of it being in my tank, it had died. Alongside that, I’m now having an Ich outbreak and possibly a Marine Velvet issue with some of my fish that haven’t ever had issues. It’s really making me question how they go about treating incoming fish.

James A: I have been coming here for about 8 years and this place and staff are hands down the best and I have lived all over the country. Locally they blow zoo creatures out of the water with prices. Customer service is better as well. Jays prices are much better and the quality is way better fish are all healthy.
Victoria Schmidt: I wish I could give more stars!!! I got my 5 year old son a fish tank for his birthday. I bought fish and they died almost immediately, so I tried to figure out what the problem was. I went to petco and petsmart to test my water and had no luck. They told me it was fine. Finally my friend recommended Jays Aquatics, and the owner tested my water and told me what was wrong. He has been helping me throughout the process over 3 weeks. My sons fish tank is FINALLY working and with fish in it! The owner Jay always takes the time to explain how to do everything and he is very knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anyone for freshwater or salt water 100%!!!

Alex NEFF: Always been a fan of Jays. Great prices and no sales tax. Great selection of saltwater fish and coral. Good freshwater selection. Equipment for your reefs etc.Other notes. he uses copper in his fish only system, realize this when introducing them. Salinity is also quite low similar to a hospital tank.
Mike Rouch: Jay was really nice and helpful on the phone so I feel bad about a 2 star review. They do have a great selection but the customer service was awful. The owner was not there when we went so I’m sure it would have been different but the guy who was there is rude as hell and was in such a hurry he shook up my tetras so bad they were dead by the time we got home. He literally shook the bag like he was mixing a drink and flipped them all around. Not over exaggerating either. I don’t recommend going while they are busy. I won’t go back.
