Ishan Pai: I came here today for first time. Love mexican food in general , but this place is up to the next great level. I totally love the flavors involved here in every dish that they make. I got the shredded chicken chimichangas, and my friend got a fish dish which was quite big. Portions are quite generous, and they make you full. Although i would love some level of spice too, it caters to most of your tastebuds. Overall, they serve great food and service. Would recommend it to everyone!

They make up prices as they go I thought it was the language barrier, but I also to speak Spanish I went there 2 times in one week and it was 2 different prices same exact meals. PS: Every time I go there the people there are unfriendly and look visibly unhappy that I am a customer. The portions are nothing special. But the last time I was there 8/31/2022. I order two Birria O Carnitas. The Birria was dry! Birria is supposed to be like a beef pot roast, cooked in a flavorful seasoned broth wrapped in soft corn taco shells served with some of the broth on the side for dipping. When I got back to work I saw that my order came with no broth on dried out soft taco shells. Sadly to say, I am not going back there again. This place is nothing like their other restaurant in Gloucester. Gloucester has a bigger menu better portions and quality. Plus a nicer staff.

Sara Vega: I ordered the pupusas and the sweet plantains. I gave it a three because it’s kind of hard to find anywhere else that makes pupusas in Lowell so that’s a plus. The pupusas were normal size and tasted great, but I’m VERY DISAPPOINTED in the overpriced sweet plantains. Everyone knows plantains are CHEAP. They usually cost 3/$1 or 2/$.89 at the grocery store so for a restaurant buying bulk I’m sure it’s even cheaper. If you go to ANY Spanish bodega you get about 10-15 fried plantains or tostones for about $5 or less so the fact they sold me less than one whole actual plantain worth is a ripoff lol. They did taste good but overpriced.

Food was ok, but when we got the check, paid, and left; my friend told me they had charged us $4 each for the tacos instead of $2.I wish I had gone to Taco Bell.

I called. I was apologized to but no manager on site. I just spent nearly $75 to have a piece of garbage hurt my tooth.I don't recommend because this situation hasn't been resolved. I'll be happy to take down this review if I get some kind of refund. It's unacceptable to have this happen spending that much money. Hopefully I can eat it tomorrow but it won't be fresh. Mariana Georges: We have dined in and ordered takeout, both experiences were wonderful. This is top notch Mexican food! I can now say it is the best in the area (I have been wanting to go for sometime and finally gave them a try from taking a break from our usual spot) We love their traditional empanadas as an appetizer, the shells are nice a crispy and the filling is well seasoned and plentiful. The birria tacos are also amazing. So are the Doña Maria enchiladas (the mole sauce is to die for; amazing depth of flavor, something very special about them. The rice is fluffy, and flavorful, tastes like home cooking.Additionally, the portion sizes are generous which allows for leftovers, who doesn't love that.Their employees are fabulous, attentive and offer great recommendations. The atmosphere inside is also very cozy and the decor is very cute. I appreciate the fact that they have parking around back.

They charge for water, ok it’s bottled but still…ordered quesadilla to go and then charged me $1.00 for the container. On top of that , they automatically charge 15% for service , whether it’s good or bad. I put in an extra 20% on top of the total amount because I didn’t know until I called back because I thought the total amount was high…they must be doing really bad :($1.00 for take out container, automatic 15%(1 person) tip, $2 for water…and I tipped $6 on top not knowing the tip was in the total.

The lady on the phone tells you 20 minutes, you go there in 20 mins and wait an additional 20 mins to get food. The food has gone way down hill and is terrible now. The rice is so hard you could break your teeth. It is the rice that they scrape off the bottom of the pan. The "beans" were just a brown soupy mess with no texture at all. Hopefully this place can get it back to the way it use to be. Pay good money for absolute garbage food.

If I wanted to watch TV while eating, I would eat at home. The music was also very loud which made it difficult for us to have a conversation. There was a family seated in the booth next to ours who were extremely loud and obnoxious. They were using Facetime and carrying on loud conversations, and using strong profanity. They also jostled the bench seat (connected to my seat) multiple times, so my seat kept getting bumped.Cleanliness:The menus (kept at the table) were grimy. I'm not sure if they ever get cleaned. I had to step around food on the floor while walking to the restroom, and the restroom floor was very sticky. Disgusting.Service:When we placed our order, I asked about the ingredients in the chili. Our server did not know the answer, but I do appreciate that she went and checked and then came back to let me know the answer. Overall, though, she was not very attentive. I understand that most restaurants are understaffed, but I could see her leaning against the bar drinking water. She didn't check in on us to see if we needed anything/if the food was okay unless we flagged her down. Our drink glasses were empty for much of the meal. I ordered the bottomless soup/salad/chips, but never had the option to refill my soup which sat empty for at least twenty minutes. When we finally got our server's attention to refill our drinks, she brought them and ran off again before I could ask for more soup. I would not have ordered that if I had known it wouldn't get refilled. Hiram Katz: Been a customer for a couple years now. Place is beginning to go down hill. They are giving you less and less of everything every time. Also the midget behind the counter always has a bad attitude.My advice would be to fire the midget and start providing better portions. It has got to the point where I might as well start going back to Chipotle and be served by a hipster.**EDIT 4/19/23 lowerd from 2 stars to 1** This place just cant seem to get it down. The new meal prep containers that they serve bowls in are the biggest scam on the market. You get absolutely no food in it. Also they cant seem to figure out that they should have two separate stations set up. One or customers who come in and one for takeout/door dash. These people will stop serving customers who come into the establishment for 20 minutes to make door dash orders. Thats a slap in the face for loyal customers who already waited 20 minutes in line. Its frustrating watching somewhere with potential get flushed down the toilet because of incompetint ownership.

K R: I ordered chicken nachos and I was totally disappointed. I only live 6 minutes away, processed the order to be done asap and needless to say, my chicken was the same temperature as the quac and pico. Not appealing at all and honestly I had better hopes since this place normally has great meals.
