I'm used to providing registration and paying up front but this seems to be a one man show, so you do all of that after. You also have to buckle all of your seatbelts ahead of time. Basically, a good place to get an inspection but you have to get used to the routine here because it is different than other inspection places for sure.

I got there nice and early (6:30) so my vehicle would be cool enough for him to work on it..Now after speaking on Thursday when I told him that I needed to wait (never telling me at this time, when rescheduling that I couldn't wait) I went in to check in and he told me I couldn't wait in his waiting room ,(ONCE AGAIN, never telling me at this time AFTER rescheduling, AFTER talking about me waiting Monday while my vehicle was being worked on and NEVER mentioning that I couldn't wait????)He asked if I could take a walk, it's December, raining and I'm 60 years old...That will be the last time I ever bring back my vehicle toTECH AUTO SERVICE INC.PAGE BLVD.SPRINGFIELD MASS..Lie to me once, you are deemed untruthful.... SOI don't recommend this business...And at one time I was a customer!!!....

JAB MLR: Started off with a condescending attitude and disrespect from i can only assume was the owner. The Russian couple in line to pay before me there was a language issue and he was visibly frustrated with the young couple and rude to them. If the sticker on my wife's car hadn't expired and we weren't in great need to have this done today, I would have gone to the normal place I go. However since they were closed, we came here. First and LAST time giving my hard earned money to a business that cares and treats CUSTOMERS so poorly!!

Roxie Rocker: I wasn't aware that starting a standard transmission was part of the safety inspection. Brought my vehicle there last year after I purchased it. The 'inspector' couldn't get the vehicle started, ... after 2 or 3 tries, he got it started, ... even changed the plates for me.Went there again this year (09/2022) for inspection, and though it passed everything as according to the state 540 CMR 4 pages, .. I was still not given a new sticker because they couldn't start my vehicle. I had to do it twice. I was told, "the car needs to start every-time, ... get it fixed and come back". This is an intermittent problem with this model of the Toyota Matrix, and Pontiac Vibe. Thing is, if I return, and they can start the vehicle each time they need to, ... how do they know I had it fixed? I could bring it to another inspection station, they could start it with no problem perhaps, ... and I'd get a new sticker.It's NOT part of the Mass State Safety Inspection from what I can find through the Mass Inspection pages, ... and the 540 CMR 4 pages are extensive, and nothing about starting ones vehicle. I would think shutting it off would be more of a problem.I rated this review after taking a mean average of a 5 last year, and a 2 this year, made it a 3 this year. I would have left it at 2 but they refunded my money, and didn't fail the vehicle with a "F" sticker. I intend on pursuing this with the RMV, as it makes no sense to me why a sticker couldn't be given. Can't get the car started, ... I have AAA, I'd just have it towed. Makes no sense to me at all.

Manifest: I called with a quick question to see if they can usually finish within 3.5hrs (before close) because I have a bit of a drive to get there. Before I finished asking the question he blurted out rudely “first come first serve”. I had one other question that I didn’t get to which was important too.I was quick and nice, not wasting any time. I tried to call back 5 times before he apparently disconnected the line.Pretty much a terrible person. I’ll never go there and will be spreading the word. Thanks.

Nicolas Bavaresco: The place says it closes at 5.30. We arrived before 5 o'clock and he told us it was closed. I tell him that this is not what the timetable says and, in a bad way, he tells me that he closes whenever he wants. He ends up shouting at me and slamming the door. He treats strangers and potential customers with such disrespect. I can’t recommend this place.
