Only reason I am giving 4 starts is that I called months later and made an honest mistake of getting confused about which service they have done (I have a few contractors over this house I bought, for different reasons), and Mr. Nigro reminded me that they took care of the well, not the plumbing. I politely apologized for the confusion and was ready to end the conversation but he proceeded to ask me questions about what needed to be done, so I answered. He literally asked me further questions about the issue, but out of nowhere lost his patience and was extremely rude, saying he did not have the time to deal with me and hang up. I was simply answering his own questions out of courtesy. The irony. Unnecessary and unprofessional. You can do better.

Lee Kay: People speak greatly of this company in our area, so I've given them some stars, but we have called, spoke with them multiple times and even stopped by their shop to meet with them. However, they weren't there and we couldn't get them to come over to look at our well pump. They may have been really busy, but haven't gotten back to us about our well.

They were fabulous. Evan came to my home and was very professional and informative, taking the time to give me background and explain things to me. No gouging or taking advantage by this company. Evan assessed my problem, ensured that my well pump was functioning ok, and then addressed the repair to my water pressure tank. I was thrilled with his work, his caring and his integrity. Timothy Flouton: I am 62 years old and not a big review writer or reader however my experience today with Thomas Nigro and Son was OUTSTANDING THESE PROS came out on a almost 100 degree day and fixed a motor control for my 90 year old Mom's well pump. way beyond 5 stars LOOK NO FURTHER I said it was o.k .to come tomorrow ,NOPE they came for my 90 year old Mom 2 hours after I called honestly I did not think that this level of service was even still out there in this changing world. Robert McCabe: The Friday of Memorial Day Weekend, I woke up to water bubbling out of the ground in my front yard. The well water line going into the house burst. My pregnant daughter and her husband were coming from New York for the weekend. I called Tom Nigro plumbing and he came out to look at it before noon. At 3:00 pm he showed up with excavator and crew. The entire line was replaced from the house to the well. It was done in two hours. Thomas saved our weekend. Thanks!

Troy Mittler: This company is top notch. I would highly recommend them. They bailed me out when I had a leak in one of my horizontal lines causing me to lose all water pressure. Tom, the service manager, sent somebody out right away to diagnose the problem. They gave me several options to try and minimize cost and get me back up and running. Ultimately we decided to replace the system. They made it happen the same day! The site techs were awesome. They kept me informed throughout the entire process and their workmanship was great. For the work performed the price was very reasonable. I won’t use anyone else in the future. Do yourself a favor and call this company if you ever have any well issues. Had issues with permitting and Chris Abbott was able to contact an engineer to construct a site plan for me. The access to the property is not easy but they were able to get drilling rigs in and drill the well for me. Years of experience makes all the difference. Gennie Bailey: We had them install our well in a new construction home. The company has been reliable in showing up and responsive in their return contacts so that is worth mentioning. However, BIG, however, I would Never recommend them to anyone unless you are interested in paying thousands more than the quoted price because of a number of hidden details and sketchy business practice. We are now paying over 5k more than what was expected. They have a list of exclusions that were not included in the quote which we were well aware of but ON TOP of that there are a number of things they charge you for that aren’t even on that list. Some were even option charges such as running a generator to pump the well. We did not know this would be charged and we were not offered to run our own generator “because you didn’t ask for it”. How can we ask for things we don’t know would be charged anyways?? They also have a list of things what could change the cost of the work including having to drill deeper etc (we were well aware of this). But even that doesn’t account for such a hike in price with no explanation. They will sell you a story about how their quality of well and parts are better than other local companies but they don’t add in the fact that they are going to secretly charge you for things you have no idea about.Such a shame and very poor business practices.

Sponge Bob: The star I'm giving is only for John, the service tech who came to my house. He was professional, nice, and performed the job requested. However I do have a huge problem when I call a company and specifically ask the cost of having someone come out and am billed differently. The very first question I asked Tom who I spoke with, was if they serviced my area..that was his opportunity to state travel time but he didn't....Tom stated $130 an hour plus any parts. He stated he couldn't see the job going past one hour possibly up to an hour and a half at the most. I needed my water pressure adjusted and a filter change.The tech was at my house for exactly one hour and I was billed for two. Tech informed me they bill for travel time to and from the job and he was actually cutting me a break with only charging me one way travel.($130) The bill was over $300 for a filter change.. I did call Tom back while tech was still at my home to inquire as to why "travel time" was not mentioned as part of the job cost when I called.( if in fact the tech had added both ways that would have been an extra $260?) First Tom tried to lie his way out of our original conversation regarding the hourly rate and when he realized he couldn't give me a straight answer, he then implied all service people charge travel time (Sorry Tom not ALL companies do this and if they do they mention that to the customer.) He stated that if not then they build travel time into their price. Tom then tells me that I can just pay for an hour and a half. When I stood my ground regarding the job only taking one hour Tom yelled "WHATEVER" into the phone and hung up on me. I called back and spoke to Brittany a very pleasant lady. I told her that I didn't appreciate Tom yelling in my ear or hanging up on me..she put me on hold and came back to the phone to report Tom thought I had hung up first. (Another lie) Tom wasn't even man enough to get back on the phone to apologize. I certainly hope Tom isn't the owner and if he isn't the owner he surely needs to be spoken to. My neighbors all have wells and I will be sure to tell them not to use this company based on my experience.Can't stand dishonesty!!

My personal opinion of Connecticut Valley Artesian Well Company could not be any lower.In my opinion, they did not have my best interests in mind when they told me I needed to drill a second well because my water was bad. Be wary of initial water tests from a new well.

Gregory Smith: The person that answers the phone is very pleasant and takes detailed messages for Tom the service manager.Tom returns calls and patiently listens to analyze the well or pump problem.I had a repair done and the workmen arrived on time and explained the steps in the repair process.

C. M.: I’d just like to say that I have had an amazing experience working with this company. There were a couple unusual hiccups that arose (what house project doesn’t have that though! Haha!), but the owner went out of his way to ensure I was satisfied in the end. This company has exceeded my expectations, is built on integrity, they are responsive, trustworthy, and Joe Sr. actually makes you feel more like a friend rather than a customer.
