I’ve been calling to speak to a supervisor to get a reason why I don’t “qualify” and no one would get back to me. I bet because there isn’t a reason. How anyone can support an organization like this is beyond me.

Rakinya Young: ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE, especially in times of despair and desperation, from fleeing violence an chaos. Very hypocritical values and standards that the staff don't ABIDE too, while they inflict more damage to one's psyche by continuous bullying by staff, an very poor treatment. You leave there feeling more unraveled then when you arrived, and if you go to the higher-ups they do nothing unless you're white, so you'll build a lot of resentment towards staff. You will also become angry and bitter by your treatment there, which is normal if you're harassed continuously an degradation sets in, but they'll use the passive aggressiveness against you, which they caused. The African American staff are the worst when it comes to treatment, and very belittling an condescending towards others, especially their own. It is impossible to work on one's self, or perform self-care when it feels like you are in a institutional like setting to say the least. They beat you downnnn so far that it seems impossible to get back up and leaves you feeling lost an empty without no where else to go, instead of the opposite way. It's beyond appalling what goes on there behind-the-scenes but if them walls could talk, you would be utterly disgusted by what you hear. The case manager's are great, and truly seem sincere while trying to help you progress in getting back on your feet an back into society. Only upside while being there's, also another wonderful woman that worked graveyard shift, was the Lord's blessings in disguise for those of us that needed it the most, a divine -earth Angel, sent to mend and heal the suffering of others because she has been through it herself.🙏

Brian Gebo: Safe serve is not followed. Volunteer continue to violate the rules by putting thing in garbage and returning to pass out food without changing gloves. Touching salad, then meet and then salad again. The meat will contaminate the salad. Change your gloves. The other part is condiments. Why do you serve French toast and pancakes dry? No butter or syrup. Hotdogs on a roll? No catchup or mustard just dry. Does the mission not have to follow safe serve guidelines or proper procedures.

Janet Goba: A kind, generous, respectful shelter. A worthy cause . Call first if you have winter coats to donate to arrange drop off. As of 12/15/22 they were unable to accept clothing donations due to lack of storage. I encourage everyone to donate and/volunteer for this exceptional irganization.

No tienen cortesía, modales ni amor como servidores no sirven. Fui chantagiado por el director quien me dijo que si no arreglaba lo dicho me expulsaran del shelter. Estuve obligado a cambiar mi verdad por la verdad de ellos lo que es una mentira. Me rompieron el celular pq les llame la atención debido a la forma de despertar a los usuarios dando golpes ruidosos en extremo en el espaldar de la cama.Sí, hay cámaras, pero no aparece el vídeo quien rompió el celular cuando estaba cerrada la puerta donde ellos los guardan con seguro 🤔🤔. Juzgue usted mismo Sr. Argentino director y público en general.

Vinny Rossi: Came thru when I had no place else to go. Extremely friendly, and helpful staff, and residents. SAFE, & CLEAN!!! Provides a warm bed, hot meals, and a hot shower... which is all one can ask for in a shelter. No problems w drugs, or unruly people. Breakfast, Dinner, Hot showers... Provide you w soap, shampoo, towels, and clean linens. There are rules to follow, but none of which are unreasonable whatsoever. Must call between 7 and 9 a.m. to reserve a bed. Must check in NO LATER than 3 p.m. daily. Exceeded ALL EXPECTATIONS. Very grateful to have found this place when I did!!!
