CK had done some work previously but it only was a temporary fix. I held off on the replacement because I couldn't afford it. When it was finally repaired, CK did it for free. They are absolutely great and I have been with them for over 50 years. They always provide a fair deal and excellent service.

While doing my annual boiler tune-up, he discovered that I needed a new oil pump as there was a leak inside the burner after troubleshooting cause. He changed it out, as part of his visit, along with usual tune-up parts. Unfortunately, there was also a problem with the fuel supply line (cracks in it) that were not known at the time. The following business day, Ed came out, and after additional troubleshooting, swapped out the supply line part and also changed out the nozzle and oil pump again. No more leaks! Friendly techs! As this was my first tune-up service as a new customer, it was even nicer as my service plan was free, and all parts and labor covered at no cost to me!

We've always had great service from all the CK Smith technicians, but Doug stood out today. He recommended replacing a part that wasn't covered by our service contract (the name of which I can't recall) but it's an integral part of having our furnace run efficiently and it was showing signs of wear and tear after 21 years. We truly appreciate his pro-activeness in doing so, and also greatly appreciate only having to pay for the part (a nominal cost), and not the labor to install it. A middle-of-the-night call to do so would cost much more as he advised, so it was wise to replace it now.We're going to request Doug as our technician for the yearly maintenance from now on. Called and tried to order 2 1-1/4 circuit setter balance valves, employee asked 3 times what company I worked for, and informed me I’d have to come to the shop to order it rather than give a card over the phone. Called Winnelson supply of Worcester and they ordered it right away without question, no card needed.

But it was the actions taken with my son that had me sold. The act of kinds started with a snack, a drink to wash it down, washed his hands after playing with the fittings, got a tour behind the counter, and after an hour of assembling all the needed parts, one there woild have noticed how genuine the team cared about each other and the customer. Part of me Expected this type of service for a price but when comparing the total cost they beat the box and online retailers!!!At this point we were on our way out and with my hands full and my son not wanting to leave they carried my son as a grandpa would and buckled him in. This house had the original boiler from 21 years ago and was not keeping up with our hot water and heating demands. V&G plumbing installed a new Buderus boiler and an indirect hot water heater. John L.: Lost heat and called on a Sunday night around 7 pm. I received a called back very shortly after, discussed the issue and Greg told me he could have someone here at 7:30 the next morning. The techs arrived at 7 am and diagnosed the problem. I spoke with Greg who was very professional and discussed my options. They were able to replace my furnace with a new one the same day at an extremely fair price. The technicians were professional, friendly, very knowledgable and neat. A lot of pride went into the work that was done - something you don't see a lot these days. I have dealt with numerous companies over the years for plumbing and heating issues but have never found anyone I was confident or satisfied with that would be someone I could continue to call for issues that came up. But these guys do it all - I have them coming back next week for some plumbing issues I have. (My in laws called them several weeks ago and also had a good experience with them). Give them a call - I'm glad I did.

So essentially we gave them a couple hundred dollars to be here for 30 mins and they didn't bring the equipment they said they would initially. Would NOT recommend this company which is unfortunate as we like to stay local. We were called back after the service and I expressed our disappointment to which they responded we will let the owner know and get back to you which surprise...no one got back to us.
