They have a wide range of hours, so I was able to get my dog in for an appointment the same day, after I got off work. It is a bit pricey but I don't find it to be out-of-line with what other vets cost. They've been upfront with me about pricing and stick with what I've been quoted.

Sarah Dirienzo: Came for my first visit today, very pleased with the staff at VCA. My cat needs an echocardiogram and VCA is the only local vet with any sort of cardiology department. I came in for our initial exam today and got my cat on their waitlist. The doctor was great with my cat, did a very thorough exam, and gave the most thorough answers to my questions any vet has ever given me, which I really appreciated. They also gave thorough price estimates on the echo and future dental work. The only reason I wouldn't come back is the pricing, and also the size; the smaller clinics stress my cat out less and charge less. But VCA offers extensive services and an urgent care so I'm glad my senior kitty is officially a patient there.

Timothy k: The staff has been really friendly and wonderful with my dog, their care club program has made it easier to deal with the cost by breaking it up into reasonable monthly payments which covers everything my dog needs for the year. I'm thankful to have them available when I need, they've addressed my concerns and got me in for an appointment asap (the next morning) when I thought my dog was having a real issue. They also set me up for monthly flea, tick and heartworm prevention which is delivered to me. Thanks from me and my dog!

Jonelle Christian: Kind, caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. You hate that you need them but know that your pet is in good hands. Dolly (8, born blind) and i were sent to VEG by vet. We were both stressy. Turns out I was transmitting my stress to her. Dr Bilotti held her to give me a quick break. I came back and Dolly was completely relaxed in Dr Bilotti's lap. Same after taken by a tech to xray. That says so much. Dolly is now on the mend.This was our 2nd dog that needed VEG this year. In Jan our 16 yr chi had seizures. They provided supportive care and after 12 hrs she was able to go home. Unfortunately, even with meds the seizures came back after a couple of weeks. Gracie was in pain and Dr Bilotti and staff helped us help her cross the bridge. All were so kind, respectful, and compassionate during the difficult time. Truly wish VEG could just be our vet but it's good to know they are there for your worst times with your pet.

Tatiana Diamond: Sadly, we had to put our 14 year old cat to sleep. It came on suddenly on Sunday. Our regular vet was closed. I found VEG through an internet search. The staff was just amazing. You could hear their sincerity over the phone as I explained our situation. They took us in right away. Gave us space to say goodbye and allowed us to stay with her to the end. Everyone who assisted was just outstanding. Kind, caring but most of all compassionate. Thank you for making a difficult decision less difficult.

The rooms are clean and open so you have access to staff and to be with your pet every step of the way. My dog needed x-rays and they have a window to watch your pet. We had a long wait time since we were stable and were not an emergency and everyone constantly apologized for the wait. We were fine we understood that we were at an ER and other pets came in that needed immediate attention it was just nice to have staff check on us and let us know that we were not forgotten.We felt very seen and taken care of. It was obvious that everyone there loved animals and would do everything they could to help. 3 Thank you!

Anh To Kuettner: On March 10th I brought my dog Coco to this clinic when she was not doing well and going downhill fast. She ended up to be in heart failure and died just 2 months after her 16th birthday. This was the first time we’ve used this facility. It was a very traumatic and painful experience to see my dog that way and to witness them coding her. I can’t say enough about how much compassion everyone gave to me and my dog. They all worked really hard to try to save her but I knew it was time to let her go. They gave me time to say goodbye to her and provided me with options for her remains. He was foaming at the mouth because he hates the cat carrier and car rides so they thought it was an emergency, but it made me feel like Kitty was very important and they wanted to get him the care he needed. The time it took to get him looked at and get some eye drops was reasonable and they even followed up with me the next day for an ophthalmologist for after care. For my first time being there, I think they did a great job and I definitely would go back if I have another issue. Thank you VEG!

She is nervous at the vets in the best of circumstances but after what happened she was extra nervous and cautious. From the moment we walked into VEG, we were greeted with warmth and kindness. Everyone we encountered during our stay was amazing. They sat on the floor with Dany and gave her the time she needed to feel more comfortable with her. Jessi Lynn: I was relieved to find this place so close too home. I recently took in a friends cats while she finds a new home for her & her kitties. The kitten (10-ish months) was awaiting his appointment to be fixed, when he attacked my 9y/o cat. He got him bad leaving a cut on his neck. Then 24hrs later his face swelled up drastically. We called our regular vet (Banfield) to get him seen ASAP. They said we could bring him in but then turned us away when we got there claiming “we took too long to arrive”. So from their parking lot we called VEG & they told us to come straight in. They were very friendly upon arrival, took us in immediately & when I explained he was in pain so he was acting “extra spicy” they put on the appropriate protective gear & handled him so patiently! My 18y/o has sever anxiety when it comes to his animals and was very emotional seeing him disfigured like this. The way the ENTIRE staff went above and beyond to comfort him was A+ for sure. After running all the test they presented me with options and Did Not Pressure me into anything just to make an extra buck. I was very impressed with their sensitivity, professionalism and extremely positive environment!! I hope to never have to return, but if anything was to go down with our 4 legged floofs, I won’t hesitate to call them 1st. Highly recommended!!

Brooke Royce: VEG is seriously incredible!! Last week, we had to bring our senior girl Allegra in for an emergency - in the middle of a severe nor’easter. Despite the weather, they were there for us. Allegra is 14 and a half years old, and has a history of pulmonary hypertension. She was having a bad flare up that was giving her a lot of difficulty breathing. The staff treated us like family from the moment we walked through the door. We immediately saw a vet and got treatment started for our baby. It was a scary night for us, but VEG gave us so many positives despite it being a terrifying time. We were never separated from Allegra - except for during her x-rays - but we were given the option of watching her through a window even for that! When you bring your pet in, you are brought directly back into the treatment area. We spent our night on a couch instead of out in a cold lobby. The incredible staff made sure we were taken care of - offering us snacks/drinks and even made up Allegra her own little “princess” bed with towels and a doggy bed! And - we are beyond thankful to her vet for working with us financially. We were working with a set limit on care credit and couldn’t afford much more out of pocket, and they still made sure Allegra got the treatment she needed.The team got our girl sorted out, started on the correct medication, and I’m SO happy to say that a week later she’s doing 100% better!!Thank you VEG!!I cannot recommend them highly enough if your pet is having an emergency!! They made an incredibly difficult experience so much easier. 3

Adriane Longo: The worst place to take your puppy. We were kept waiting for over an hour to be served. My puppy had diarrhea. And they treated us really badly, because they thought she might have parvirus. After an hour they were waiting and no one had gone where we were, I went out and asked when they would pick us up. So, someone told me to go into the room and not leave because what my daughter supposedly had was contagious, this person who worked there told me that screaming. Finally, they took the exam. And my puppy did not have parvovirus. She just had a worm. As she had tears in her eyes, the vet gave her an ointment. I put it on for 2 days, and it destroyed the tube. I called them, asked for a new ointment. The veterinarian of the day said that it could not be given, because I needed to see her again. I asked to send the consultation documents to my email. To date no one has sent me anything. If I can I will never go there again. HORRIBLE AND HORRIBLE!!!

We had a family vet for years, but after he retired we've been circling the chains and larger clinics and always left cared for but unimpressed and overcharged.Found route 20 off google, and am very thankful to them. Amazing customer care, thoughtful service, and educates you on your animals in a non-condescending way.Our last visit was for our youngest to be neutered. Cleanest incision and wound area I've seen from a procedure. Great after care, and easy to call. As a plus to the owners, very reasonable pricing.

Sheera Gandolfo: My kitten was sick on a Friday night so I called rt 20 where she had gone for her shots and other care. They fit me in on Sat and Dr Nick was kind and honest telling me she may have a blockage and need emergency care later in the day. He gave her iv fluids and nausea meds and special food to see if she could eat. He also gave me his number to text him if I had questions after hours. I appreciated that so much! I did indeed have questions when she seemed in pain. He got right back to me. She didn't end up needed emergency care thankfully, next morning she was eating a bit and feeling better. Also Dr Nick texted me Sunday morning to get an update on Willow. Thanks to his help on Saturday and caring advice we got her through a very bad night that could have been so much worse. Thank you Dr Nick and staff at RT 20 animal clinic!

When all the other vets are still operating "curbside" - which doesn't work if you have a hyper-anxious pet that stays calm with the owner, Route 20 Animal Clinic was able to work with us so I didn't have to sedate my cat to be seen. Catherine Duffy: I have tried a few vets since coming here from Ireland 18 years ago, and I have to say Dr. Nick Kotsopoulos is absolutely wonderful.I have always had my own animals, rescue dogs and I also have a dog daycare/boarding business. Dr Nick has always seen me asap, compared to the owner's own vets,who could leave me waiting for two or three days for an appointment.I was very fortunate to find such a great vet.His staff have always been professional, sympathetic and v helpful.I hope he will be around for many more years.

Michael Lai: This is the last place you want to go to for animal care. They took very long to diagnose my cat, and charged us $60, after doing completely nothing. Then blamed us for not taking my cat elsewhere. In a time of sadness, they were raising their voice and trying to justify why we should be charged. Take your pet here if you dont love them.

I’m currently two months in on calling them daily to get my cats medical records sent to a new vet, and when I finally talk to someone this morning at 8:15 they said ofc we will send them right over it’s currently 12:02 and they haven’t sent them over I’ve tried calling all morning leaving several messages with no response not only is this the most unprofessional place they are rude on the phone when you finally do get a hold of them. I will literally never send any animal this way again. Be it my own kitty or someone else looking for a vet. If I could rate lower I would.

andy briand: I had my 1 year old dog neutered here and Tufts at tech asked me multiple times to make them the regular care provider for both of my dogs. We showed up early for the first routine exam appointment (appointment was at 11am). After 3 hour, neither dog had been seen. We ultimately decided to leave as the school let out and started to get the dogs worked up. Tufts at tech has now called the day before a neuter appointment and canceled the appointment with nothing but excuses. I can not enough how much I would NOT recommend this establishment for the care of a loved pet. They are extremely unprofessional and even more disorganized.

Easy to see, go left at the sign past the entrance to the school, and parking is on the left, clinic has a walk up window to check in on the right.Overall good experience despite having to wait outside. Oh, and there are porta-potties to use if you have to. 😊😻

I have a spicy old lady kitty who is always handled with respect and care, she has mellowed in her old age but I think she knows that she is safe with the staff. My two other cats are well loved and doted on when they come into the office, especially since Simon is a heartbreaker (and a shameless flirt) and Jazz is always super shy.Dr. Taddei is an amazing veterinarian, having no qualms about fielding worried phone calls (I really try not to be a helicopter!) and is at the top of her game when it comes to medicine and treating her patients. She's kind and caring, taking the time to come up with plans for treatment and doesn't judge if an owner doesn't have the monetary means to go above and beyond.Any and all interactions with the staff here have been fantastic. Pricing is reasonable and I know I'm paying for quality care. Said they changed the rabies vaccine, because the other they were giving caused cancer .That is what my last cat had. I paid to kill my cat.??? One year shot very little side affects. Three year shot more side affects. I was scared. Got one year shot. She was not herself a few days . I worried.They try to push the insurance on you. My cat goes for rabies once a year . I cut her nails. Previous owners of this business ,said if my cat is ok. And no problems, she does not need to come every year unless shots are needed. She is an indoor cat.I live on a fixed income. And this place has jacked up prices way too high. In this economy, people struggle. And pets bring a sense of peace and companionship.I call it price gauging. It is to the point seniors cannot afford to have a pet companion.No need to overprice services. Seniors need a break.

Dean Theodore: A very positive experience every time I go there. Staff is professional and friendly. Communication with Staff and Veterinarians has been great.

Omea: A good veterinary clinic 1) will misread a urine test as being "clean" if it comes back with protein and 2) diagnose a loving pet who is suddenly urinarily incontinent with said test results as senile, 3) further telling the pet's parent that "euthanasia is not an inappropriate discussion" - SAYS NO ONE. As our poor pup's symptoms advanced, we sought a 2nd opinion which correctly found a bladder infection so severe it appearead to the new vet as a snowglobe. Had West Side had paired the dogs sudden onset presentation with lab results correctly and available ultra sound equipment and staff to administer the testing, maybe they'd know better, but they expected us to wait for several weeks until their roving ultrasound partner arrived to do testing. It was also determined at the 2nd opinion that our baby was FAR from senile. Bringing these findings to West Side, I agreed to allow them to administer the meds for this condition on agreement of never allowing the vet who botched the dx and treatment to touch my pets again and that the first post-treatment urinalysis would be on the house, to which the leadership agreed. Three weeks later, they're looking to charge over $300 to my card for the test, stating it was a different type of urinalysis they were planning and that I understood it - more nonsense. I will also state that their quote for their roving ultrasound practice was significantly higher than what I paid at the 2nd opinion. This 30-year client (former competent owners sold West Side recently) will never return to allow the practice to further lie and mistreat our furbabies. If you love your pets and value a skilled and honest provider, think twice about seeking services at West Side

The docs and especially the techs took the time to get to know us and our fur kids, in order to give us solid advice. Prices aren't bad, either. Highly recommended!

Not only are they Covid-conscious while caring for your beloved fur-children, but great communicators with everything they do and always including you in the care. My sweet Calliope was very well taken care of by Dr. Vincent, and then when I had to say goodbye today, Dr. Palermo and Amy (and someone else I’m sorry I can’t remember your name) were so understanding and helpful with the whole process and allowed us to be there. I know Calli was comfortable the entire time. Thank you everyone.

Jackson Barnes: These people are so ignorant that they almost killed my dog. They failed to diagnose my dog properly when he had diabetes for a year. It took us to do our own research on the internet to find out the symptoms point to diabetes. Then our dog went into a catatonic state. West side told us our dog was drinking copious amounts of water and peeing for 5 minutes straight “just because it’s hot out and he’s just tired”. We were told his foot irritation was completely normal and just to “Leave it alone”-Westside animal clinic. I wouldn’t take my pet here if it was the last thing I do.

Lisa B: I've been taking my Boxers (4 in total) to Community Animal Hospital since 2005. There is NO better Animal Hospital in my area than Community. The vets here are undeniably the best around. I've been through many medical issues, allergy issues and surgeries with my dogs and I've always felt comforted and secure with the vets here. The vets here are EXCELLENT. They are truly knowledgeable and have THE BEST bedside manners of any vets I have ever met. I can be a little anxious when my dogs are sick or need a surgery and the doctors here are so wonderful with me, always make me feel like my dog is their number 1 priority and have a way of calming me down and making me feel good. I also am the Director of a non-profit dog rescue and have referred our adopters in the area (even outside of the area) to Community Animal for their regular vet care and I've heard nothing but great things from all those I have referred. I would like to mention that the support staff at Community is PHENOMENAL! You will feel like part of their "family" when you leave. They are warm, welcoming and truly care about each individual owner and pet. I cannot say enough about them and highly recommend them. Their Inn and Spa is also top notch for boarding or grooming your dog! They are A++

There is a wait time due to their very reasonable discounted cost being in high demand!A) I filled out the simple online form (my contact info & my dogs info) requesting to sched. an appointmentB) They called me about 3 weeks later to schedule him, choosing from the next dates available (which were 3-4 weeks out)C) Appointment day went smoothly a.m. drop off & afternoon pickup.Very accommodating,.. small additional services can be added: nails, chip, vaccines, etc,.Before pickup they show instructional video about aftercare & provide 3 days medication and a party hat.***His incision is healing nicely (its been 2 weeks today)Overall very pleased with everything & would highly recommend to anyone looking for very reasonably priced neuter or spay!! 👍👍

I was told to come in and do shots anytime because they FORGOT to do them at my appointment, then they tell me they can’t get me in until March. They are rude. Also had to get my X-rays and they won’t give them to me without approval! What is that???? They told me to go to another vet clinic because they couldn’t do the surgery. Which is fine but now why the red tape! Now I have to get the runaround from a poorly run office! It has been nothing but bad experiences here!!!

Sue Blake: until December for an appt. Foe my dog to have a pre neuter check up. I live in Rockport, MA which is an hour and a half away. I left at 2pm for a 430 appt. I also had to leave a funeral early to leave at that time.When I left Rockport, the trip was 1.5 hours on google maps. As I drove closer to Worcester, the travel time kept increasing because of the commuter traffic. Soon the estimated time was 2 hours and 15 minutes. I kept going and was getting off the exit. I went to call the office, and they were calling me. It was 4:25 and they said I was late for a 4:20 appt. And that because the Doctor would have been half way through the appt.? (10 minute appt. ????

They schedule everyone to pick up at same time in order to watch a safety video. I felt unnecessary. And the trans person at the counter was a little rude like chill dude or you can be treated like a man.

Dr. Schmar was disarming in his conversation and made a seemingly insurmountable task a little less overwhelming. He explained the process, helped us say a teary eyed goodbye, and tried to make the act as comfortable for our pet as possible.

I have two rather difficult, somewhat feral cats and he was not intimidated in the least and had no issues with them. Stephanie Glenn: I used this vet to fix a hematoma in my dogs ears. And, let me be clear, its not about the money. My dogs are like my kids. I feel that as a vet you have a responsibility to reccommend the treatment most likely to remedy the problem. This man said the procedure he was doing had a 95% success rate, which was a lie. The surgery would have had a 95% success rate, the steroud and wrap which he preformed has a 50% success rate. I am appalled that a professional would take advantage of this type of situation. Shame on you. You were supposed to help my pet when what really happened was you prolonging the ability we had to get her the treatment she needed.

Lemuel Lee: First off he told my wife 250 to fix my dogs swollen ear and then shows up and charges me like 320 and then the next morning her ear was swollen again so I called and he came back to fix and charged me another 75 when in my opinion it should of been free cause he didn't fix it the first time and now its messed up even worse and we had to take her to Stonehouse to get fixed just to be charged another 560, at least we know it is being done right and they back the work they do!!! We will not recommend ever and will let everyone we know to never use this company!!! Not only that but when I went over the bill he charged me like 50 for bandage wrap which is only 12 bucks at Walgreens!!!

Christine Shy: My dog was having a hard battle with a bad bacterial infection and was doing so bad. He got my 8yr old dog feeling like a pup in no time at all.He also did a home euthanasia for my moms 16yr old dog in her dog bed in her home. And then transported to the crematory with the most respect ever.

There is been instances in which in one of my three dogs needed care and Dr. Tom has always made it a priority to make it over and attend to them. I would utilize Dr Tom again.
