He takes his time to understand and hear what is troubling you, what your experience is like, and then provide you with a treatment plan. All the while being kind, caring and personable.

Charles R Basin: Impossibly difficult to get the results of my biopsies. Their phone is always busy or redirected to an answering service who never picks up. Exasperating, to say the least. I still don't have my results three weeks after the procedure.

Loco Diablo: Dr Kim is the best... I’ve had a few colonoscopies and one endoscopy done by him to address a narrowing esophagus. All went off without a hitch.. he clearly explained everything.. I highly recommend.

Crazie Beautiful: Dr. Kim is fantastic! My last GI went to another hospital and I have struggled to find another good one. Dr Kim is hands down the BEST of the 7 I have seen in the last 10 years. He is always on time for appointments. Does his own follow up calls after procedures and his knowledge is incredible! I have suffered with GERD and Schatzki rings for 8 years, requiring an upper endo every 6 months with dilation. Receiving little to no relief. 1 visit and 1 procedure with Kim and I have 100% relief!!

Amie Gaudier: Dr. Kim and Dr. O'Callahan are both Fabulous Doctors. I've been seen several times, unfortunately, due to my health issues. However, I always leave with a smile on my face knowing that I'm getting the best care I can. I always get a call back in a timely manner and I've Never waited over 15 minutes to be seen. In fact, for my first appt they scheduled me on a day the Dr. normally wasn't in. What Dr. do you know that will come in on his time off just to see some patients who need to be seen ASAP? I find the staff to be helpful but more importantly Caring. There are racks of pamphlets in both exam rooms that I, myself, have found very useful at times when I've forgotten to ask a question. Although I can call anytime for answers. This office in always Clean and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!

SarahRose G: Do not recommend. Dr. Kim. He didn't appear to be taking my claim seriously. He didn't seem to understand that the only reason I feel better is because of the prescription I am on. When I mentioned that, he asked if I wanted to be put on a stronger dose (not what I want- want to get off meds as soon as possible). I was pushed out the door so quickly I didn't get a chance to ask any of the few questions I had. I was a scheduled for a brief procedure and given no information about it. The severity of it highly exceeded my expectations. Following the procedure, there was no follow up and no diagnosis (as written on the discharge papers). The visit summary had my symptoms listed incorrectly and a diagnosis which I had not heard. I was given no information on the diagnosis. It appears that some information was shared with my primary care (which makes sense); however when my primary called to check on me, they referred to a diagnosis different from all other visits.Lastly, office was very inconsiderate of patient time. Due to my schedule, I have access to my phone at irregular times. They gave me a 2hr window to give my medical history (I was unable to do so) and woke me up for a follow up call.

Lily Marie: Rude a** receptionist. I called the surgery department and she was so rude ab me not having a “proper” referral. Wouldn’t even listen to the fact that I needed an urgent appointment per the emergency room dr orders and she just wouldn’t take me. Tbh that’s not professional at all especially if ur gonna be rude ma’am.

Tammera Trudeau: Dealing with the front office Is a nightmare - the phone system as well as when you finally get a live person on the line. No follow through on prescriptions or getting messages to the team. Even after several calls to get a prescription and directions, they don’t come in time. Too frustrating to deal with. The medical staff are good - it’s just the gatekeepers. I will definitely never be back.

leftd 5: Dr. Zivny was extremely professional and explained the complete procedure in terms hat I could understand. He checked back with me afterwards and showed a sincere concern for my well being. Completely unlike my past experiences, Dr. Zivny impressed me in so may ways.I am totally impressed with him and his staff over all.

Cynthia Hall: I am a patient AND a referring physician. Kelly O'Callahan is one of the only GI specialists that i know in this area that actually listens to patients and doesn't want to just scope you and then say "you have IBS" and then not help. she will keep working with her patients to find things that work to try to control symptoms that interfere with quality of life. Believe me, I asked the GI fellows at UMass about who else around to send people to, and was told she is the best. she is empathetic, knowledgeable, experienced, and takes the time to work with her patients. I don't send my patients to anyone else!!

I was referred by my PCP in early December to Dr. O'Callahan's office for bad upper abdominal pain and nausea and have not heard back from her office and here it is right at the middle of January.Sad because I never thought a UMASS doctor would literally just drop a patient without so much as a call if even to say "sorry we are not accepting new patients at th is time".Needless to say I have to start over now and find yet another gastro doctor.Sad to believe we have all become just a number!

Erica Jacobsen: I've been seeing Dr. O'Callahan for a year now (I believe I'm at 4 or 5 visits, with a number of calls in between), and she and her office have been wonderful to deal with the entire time. Dr. O'Callahan is personable, knowledgeable, and is open to new ideas and input from the patient to make sure the treatment plan chosen is working to the best of its ability. The office staff members are all friendly, responsive, and very helpful. I am grateful to have found Dr. O'Callahan and this office in Worcester.

Ex Calibur: Worst Doctor ever!!! Cant come up with personal patient regimens. Compares patients to each other. Does not properly diagnose patient even when facts are there. Scary, will leave you sick to prove herself wrong. Take your health serious dont go to her!!!!!!!!
