Im giving a one star to the waiting time (over two hours waiting 4:30-6:30)… but I was there until 8:30pm… The tax preparer (a young girl with red hair) messed up my tax return. I kept telling her something was wrong and she brought her boss which he wasnt understanding what I was trying to say. Kept explaining that I needed a w2 in order to get the child tax credit when Im trying to tell him that the girl made an error somewhere and he told me that he checked it and nothing was wrong. I found the error, the girl put my infant sons year of birth as “1999” instead of “2022” then I had to go back and tell both of them what they did wrong and there wasn't an apology at all. I was there another 2 hours.. 6:30-8:20pm… When another tax preparer also called her out on it she said “really I put 1999, why would I do that?” And giggled an walked away. Like please keep in mind, when someone tells you something don’t disregard it. & when you have disabled people sitting in a hard chair isn’t comfortable. I understand that SSI recipients might not receive the full tax credit but they do receive the tax credit of $180 per child if they are under the age of 12 & I have two children under the age of 12 and they didn’t get it… theres no point in making an appointment if you wait downstairs in the lobby then they call you upstairs to a room full of other people. There was no space and they were filled up to the max then there was no privacy. Coming to a room full of other people and saying my business, income and what I pay for rent wasnt private. The girl kept asking my information to then walk to the back where there is little desk with other workers. No privacy. Please do better and be mindful of the community you serve. & mostly if you make a mistake and I figured it out at least have the decency to apologize! The worst experience ever and I live 30 minutes away! It was a longggg day for me and I was in pain! (From 4:30-8:30pm) Never again! But I appreciate the tax preparer “995” for staying late to fix the first tax preparers error (while she left in the middle of fixing which she didn’t do anything, which I thought she should of been the one to stay late and fix it since she messed up)…
