Human: I went to Joe's 3 times while in Boston. The fish and chips were my favorite. I also had the ahi tuna salad that had seaweed salad in it - very yummy. Martina Alvarez: i just walked out of this restaurant with my sister. To be fair we didn’t have a chance to try the food so that’s not what this review is about. This review is primarily about the level of professionalism of the staff, the most egregious being a young man 162 ish cm with curly hair. After ordering our food we realised that we forgot to order coffee so we flagged down a server and asked him if we could order the coffee with him. He could have handled this so many ways.1. Absolutely! I will let your server know.2. Absolutely! I can take care of that for you.3. We’re out of coffee.Instead he responds with, “Not from me. You have to order from your server.”, and walked away. We waited and when our server still hadn’t come back we asked the same guy to please let her know and he rolls his eyes. We decided to leave. The food is worth an hour of work for a lot of people and nobody wants to deal with rude indifference for even one second. It’s not worth it. On our way out we mentioned to the manager that we would pay for the water but we were cancelling our food order and we told him about the situation. He didn’t apologise…nothing. So we went across the street to Stephanie’s where our server happens to be a consummate professional.
Ahmed Metwally: The food was really good, highly recommend.

Jordan Wesley: The food and service was good and my guests had a good time. That's why I'm leaving a 3 instead of a 1. However, if you are booking an event, make sure you ask a lot of questions from the company who is managing their group dining. They seem to outsource it to a group that I found to be lacking in communication. Based on everything I read on the website, the Atrium is a "private" space. When I arrived, it was semi-private and our group was at reserved tables in a crowded bar, with one server. Again, the experience ended up being fine, but it definitely wasn't what I expected that I was paying for. I'm not sure why I would agree to the per person minimum just for a dinner reservation. I should have just called the restaurant and made a regular dinner reservation. I think it ultimately would have been cheaper, and less frustrating given what I thought I was paying for. When I spoke with the manager, he told me there was nothing he could really do because they contract out with this company who manages their group dining, despite the fact that my contract clearly doesn't say I was booked for a semi-private event. He was nice, but seemed to have no authority to make any offer of repair. When I pointed out to the company after the fact, that nothing in my contract or in their web materials indicated I was booking a semi-private event. And in fact, it indicated the opposite. The response was, "the food & beverage minimum would have been much higher." Ok, but that doesn't make right that you miscommunicated about the experience. The rep apologized and promised to communicate better in the future, but it definitely left a bad taste that they didn't make any offers of monetary repair for what was clearly miscommunication on their part. And not a small thing either. It was the difference between telling my staff that we had a private space and my staff eating dinner in a crowded bar. Luckily, I have a fun, easy going team so we made lemonade and had a great night. But not all group dynamics are like that so just ask your questions on every little detail.

Not only did Dan and Jorge were mor than welcome me with some light conversation. Whaat really amazed me was over the phone I was talking to my wife about taking the pizza back for her. Jill Farina: Since I was only able to write one review I am giving the Sunday brunch a FIVE star review but our Sunday evening experience is actually less than ONE star.We met family for a Sunday brunch and enjoyed the quiet setting and the wonderful wait staff. The banana pancakes were heavenly! We were staying at the hotel so we came to the bar for a Sunday night cocktail and the bartender was rude and disrespectful. We waited for 15 minutes and he walked by us 3 times without even glancing our way. He talked and laugh with a group of young people at one end and then went back to the scantily dressed ladies at the other end. We could tell he had no time for us and didn't care. When my husband asked if there was another bartender who could take our order he said "no" and walked away so we got up and left. He made an extremely rude comment to us as we left. Sad that someone that rude can work at such a lovely place.
Victor Estrada: We stayed at the hotel and all the nights this place was bustlingWe finally made our way to stop for a couple of drinks and both service and drinks were on par with the hype. Highly suggest you make a reservation or be patient and you will be able to secure a seat by the bar.
Martin Foley: Sea bass with clams was extremely good, a few more clams would have made it 100% ambiance excellent. The clam chowder I just did not like their take on it, I’m more a traditional clam chowder guy. I sat at the bar, the best part of my experience was the bartender Bonnie. Very beautiful and very sweet with a huge smile, she made my day. Thank you Bonnie!

Liz McEachern Hall: Four stars for the attentive but not overzealous service and for handling my mother in law's off the menu order in a patient manner. Food was very good (the King crab on avocado toast was made even better but not being completely drowned in Hollandaise sauce). Docking a star because their phone communication is almost non existent. I called the Monday before a Sunday brunch reservation after looking at Open Table and not seeing any time slots available (RESY is much better!). No one answered so I left a message with my contact details and request. By Thursday no one had called me back so I tried again Friday and left another message. Finally someone called me and lo and behold they were easily able to accommodate our party of five despite OT's virtual insistence that nothing was available.
Brandon: The best clam chowder I've had. I was completely blown away. I could not stop eating. We also had lobster rolls and a veggie pizza. Last time we had lobster rolls in boston it was bad. It was at a different place. I'm totally sold on lobster rolls now and clam chowder. Very good on a cold day and it was very cold in Boston this trip. The vibe here felt like a place to get a drink instead of food. We didn't mind and the restaurant is old but it is wonderful to look at. Thank you for the great service.
Marie Brennan: Have not been there in yearsMissed very much the White table seatingAnd quiet ambience that captured Bostonespecially in this Beautiful bldg.Overall friendly ness was missing also.Vegetarian options: Portion very smallOther dish chickenJust OKDietary restrictions: Suggest more GF optionsOr willingness to adopt a dish for GF
Angelo Gianotto: Awesome place
Janice Coburn: We planned an amazing night for my sons engagement. The manager and staff was so rude to us! Like he didn’t want a nice family from Boston?! So insulted and would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. They ruined a wonderful night we had planned there. I will never forget this. Very upset
Christina Nowak: For $19, a Maker’s old fashioned should have a large rock, not be on the rocks. It should be bourbon forward, not all orange & sugar. It should absolutely *under no circumstances* have a straw. This used to be my favorite location for a classic old fashioned, but I will not be returning for one with a straw.
Rai H.: 😎how many times have you been to this place? 2👩🏻summary: (update) visited with my loved one to get drinks. / catch up with my friend over quick dinner and drink. Reminds me of university club of new york.🥘food: (update) truffle fries($17) - large portion and good taste / mussels - good.🍸drink: Prosecco, coffee and beer💬service: attentive and friendly💁🏻‍♀️would I revisit this place? Yes - to get drinks from the bar.

Milkweed: what do users think?
Lynsey Kirk: Milkweed is a great spot for breakfast/brunch or lunch (I haven't tried the dinner). The food was well made but was just a little under seasoned, but nothing a little salt and pepper couldn't fix. I tried the salmon cakes and grits. The cakes were flavorful and crispy on the outside. The grits were cheesy with a slightly sweet finish, which may be off-putting to some, but I liked it. I did add a little salt though. The dish is served with scrambled eggs, which were fine. The breakfast sausage is good too.The service was fine, they could have been a little more attentive. The restaurant is busy, that's for sure, and there are long wait times, so go early or maybe call ahead. The atmosphere is nice, compact. A little noisy, but you can easily hold a conversation.Street parking only and not much availability.
Sel: The food was mediocre, coffee was watered down. There was also a strand of hair in my food. Service was ok
Samantha Gracia: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Morning MadnessMore
Eric Ding: Milkweed is a cute little place in Mission Hills and a decent spot to get brunch in the area. The menu isn't groundbreaking by any means (pretty standard American fare) but the food is solid and the wait staff is attentive and warm. It can get a little loud since the tables are close together if you're not sitting at a booth, but otherwise it was a good meal and I'd come back. I appreciate their breakfast being served well into the afternoon.
Sincere Yemaya: My server was really nice but there was here inside of my food and also inside of my cappuccino
Victoria Antoine (Mademoiselle Antoine): Very cute spot for Sunday brunch with a good friend who you haven't seen for a while. I highly recommended milk weed. Very intimate and cute small spot at Mission Hill.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Vincent Cheung: Great for a casual breakfast or a date spot! All of the food coming out smelled amazing so it was hard to decide what to get. We ultimately decided on trying some of their specialties. The shakshuka was very tasty and paired well with the bread. My only critique is that I wish the bread was served on the side instead of in the pan because by the time it got to the table the pillowy bread already got soggy (still very tasty) in the parts submerged in the shakshuka. The Dutch baby had the perfect fluffy texture and paired well with the small mountain of strawberries and whipped ricotta. The service was nice and quick so no complaint there. My advice would be to get there on the earlier side because when we got seated around 10:30 we didn’t have to wait but by the time we left there was a 30-45 min wait.
Sang Cho: Hairy calamari 😭
Juerg Maier: Great place to get an all American Breakfast, including espresso grade coffee
anna yamamoto: Went here for lunch and had the Spanish omelette. The food was great and you get a huge portion for what you pay. The bread especially was very crispy and tasted great! The omelette was fluffy and full of filling. The potatoes were a little cold and bland but not bad.
Nancy Zesch: Huge servings for breakfastFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Sarrah Marcotte: This is a sweet spot, classic brunch spot. Great brunch and great drinks. I love taking people here because its such a fun environment and they have reasonable prices. There is often a wait, but that is to be expected at places worth eating at I feel like, It is definitely busy for good reason.
VW: Waited almost 2 hours and finished in 30 minutes since it is so loud in store (be careful yelp user, even if you stay in line online, you still need to check-in in person in order to be on the “Real” line.)Not the worse but not the best… Hot Chocolate however is SOOO watery and bad, they are basically selling Swiss miss for $6…. Tatte has wayyyy better hot cocoa with real melted style chocolate. No substitutions, you will be charge extra for home fries replacement (didn’t notice until bill come). Won’t be coming again since most of the items can be made at home, and it’s just not worth the wait on a nice Sunday.
Brenda Franquiz: Breakfasts was so delicious the home fries had an earthy sweet taste and the chocolate chip pancakes were delicious even without syrup 😋 👌 Definitely going back.
Azra Villon: Came in for breakfast & order took too long to come out to the table. I lost my appetite & left.
Rosemary Wu: Absolutely fantastic!!! We got three dishes and two drinks. The service is very nice and fast. Workers all have the best attitudes ever. It was so affordable too. The food was absolutely deliciousRecommended dishes Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Falafel Shakshuka, Dutch Baby Pancake …More
Phi Leovich: Food: 2/5More
Whitney Gumbs: (accidentally posted this review from my other account- reposting here with the right account).SO WORTH IT.I visited Milkweed yesterday and man was it good! The portion was quite filling. I would say the flavor is spot on. We enjoyed a croissant sando and all the items we added were tasty. I only wish the sandwich was warmer? But I digress. The service was great and the food came out pretty quick. We went for a breakfast. The prices were reasonable (not crazy for boston) We essentially spent 60 bucks on two people and we each got two shareable plates, two individual plates and drinks. Parking was fine but then again we went on a Friday morning. Definitely go early.Parking: Parking wasn’t bad for a Friday morning. I imagine it does get busier. Go early and on a weekday!
Andrés Duplat: Next time you come here just check in the Yelp app and check in the restaurant, their waiting list system does not work and you will get frustrated. Do yourself a favor and just check in the restaurant

Vasundhra Puri: Rude waitress that yelled at us and lied about enforcing a 90 limit. Waitress’s name is Sophie W. Please avoid at all costs.Came here to watch the Bruins play off game. Since the game is long we decided to wait on ordering food and more drinks after our first drink. After a little while, the waitress came up to us and said we have 10 mins left on our table because they are enforcing 90 min limits on tables as they had waitlists building up and claimed the hostess told us. The hostess never told us this and a friend in the group was able to sit through a full play off game earlier that week. After we said we didn’t know and wanted to put in our food and drink order, the waitress came up to friend’s face and yelled so what do you want? In a very rude and condescending tone. She spoke to us very disrespectfully . 3 tables next to us were empty for about 45 mins (attached photo). There was absolutely no waitlist or lines it seemed.

However, the only downside was the noise level inside the restaurant. It was really loud and made it difficult to hear and have a conversation. Despite the noise, I still highly recommend Lincoln for the amazing food.
James Regan: Fun Tavern atmosphere. Lively crowd. Great service, drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The fried chicken and loaded mashed potatoes were great . The wagyu beef dumplings were perfect. Emily Brie Equi: Came here twice on our visit to Boston! The oysters were delicious! The old fashion (or elderfashion) was wonderful, especially smoked. The crab encrusted cod was one of the best cod dishes I’ve ever had had (and that’s from someone visiting from Seattle aka the land of Cod).
Yorleny Posada: This place is great! Catherine at the bar is the best, she was really nice and helpful, made suggestions on the menu and recommend us seasonal cocktails. We love it, great service and drinks, good music, nice environment. Definitely going back!
Brady Nelson: Food was amazing. The bar tenders are top notch.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Lobster, Classic Hot Lobster Roll, Seared Scallops, Chowder …More
Twitchy: Good place for late night food in downtown Boston. Arriving on a late flight into Boston, there's not a lot of full service restaurant options in the downtown area after 9 pm. At Bostonia Public House we had the hot lobster roll, pasta vongole and fish & chips. The food and service were very good. As an fyi, it does get pretty noisy once the live entertainment starts.

A.Cagri Yuksel: You guys need to change the lady at the reception
Daria Gorbenko: Super rude hostess. Booked a reservation weeks ahead of my husband’s birthday brunch. Specified in the reservation that it is a special occasion. Showed up on time and was told there are no tables at the main level. Disappointing to say the least
Rick Johnson: Always good but a pricy breakfast.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jude Heichelbech: Don’t arrive early. They won’t seat you. If you find an empty table and try to sit for a moment, the bouncer will grab you by the arm and lift you up! If you try to dance for the last song of the night, staff will come and tell you to stop because they don’t have a “license” for that. After you eat, they’ll remove half your table area to give to others. Also, as others have noted, I saw a mouse run right past a nearby patron’s feet. Our waiter was great. But I found the house staff pretty rude, aggressive and patriarchal. Weird vibe. Will avoid in the future. Too bad! Cool building/live music, decent food/cocktails.
Carlos Ditren: Love it!
Nate Stafford: This place was amazing. Atmosphere was great! Waiter was super friendly and the food was delicious. The only thing to balk at was the price but it was Easter Sunday Brunch so thats my fault for letting the wife convince me to go.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommendation for vegetarians Somewhat recommend Vegetarian offerings Vegetarian menu or section …More
Sharon Markowitz: Food was ok, salmon was a bit too charred. Drink not great and server didn’t notice not drinking a $16 drink. Jazz not good.
Aurélie: Literally MICE running AROUND AND THE BARTENDER SAID NOTHING
Sharon Bao: Amazing live music spot! Great drinks as well. Some of the entrees were hit or miss for me, but I think the ambiance more than makes up for it. Try to get in a little early if you want to watch the show. I think the later you come in, the worse seats you get.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jennease Hyatt: So I went to beehive late last night and the vibe was super cute. Band was about to wrap up, waiter was friendly. The drink was AMAZING!!! I'm sitting in full view of the kitchen and suddenly I see mice running all around and I'm like, whoa, ok. They seem to be having party of sorts. I had paid for my drink at this point and I call to the waitress who helped us to tell her what I was seeing. Apparently this was common and she said the manager would come over. The manager never showed up, but two young men dressed in all black did and at this point I am now pointing out the mice running up and down the curtains and the ones in plain view of us while we were talking. And he's like, yea, we've called an exterminator, etc... and I was like, sir! I've seen like 10 mice prancing about, this is just not ok! I couldn't believe how casually ok they were about what was clearly an infestation. Not ok!!!
Sabrina Arguello: I’ve been coming to the Beehive for a few years now and each time is a wonderful and unique experience. I love this spot and I especially love the jazz music that is played throughout the night. Such an awesome spot to have a good drink, great company, and amazing food.
Joana C: Boa vibe, boa música, atendimento rápido.Comida, zero estrelas.
Erin Quinn: Recommended dishes Eggs Shakshuka, Eggs Benedict with HamMore
Alex Drake (Adrake1234): Food was significant subpar and the drinks we definitely less then that. Over all spent way to much money for atmosphere. Would suggest for vibe. Would not suggest for food or drinkFood: 1/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Wacky Alpacas: Let me first say- prior to tonight Beehive was my absolute favorite restaurant in Boston that I always recommended every out of town visitor to visit. After tonight that is no longer the case.Long story short- our waiter brought us the check before our dinner even arrived at the table. We were very confused but he said it was something about him being “cut”? I asked if I could get another drink before we paid our very early check and he said no, but he told us another waiter would be with us for the rest of the night. Fast forward 30 minutes and no new waiter came and I still didn’t have a drink. My partner got up and asked another staff member for a waiter y they said someone would be right over. We waited another 15, no one came, so we asked someone else and they sent a very stressed out waiter over who ended up giving us the wrong drinks and never came to check in about them.I am so disappointed because this used to be my all time favorite restaurant in Boston for years and it seems they have prioritized making money on increasing capacity over customer experience.**** also important to note- they added standing room in the middle of the downstairs- so unless you are seated in front of the stage/mezzanine you will not see/hear the live music anymore
Geno Brown: It’s a vibe here. Went on a Thursday night and enjoyed the people and music. Get your reservations in earlier or just show up and grab a seat at the bar.
