The cannoli at Bova’s have a completely smooth filling that’s not too sweet. The other pastries I got are also delicious, but the cannoli are the must try!Edit: I returned to try the tiramisu. All I’ll say is, if I lived near Bova’s I’ll gain twenty pounds in a year.

Chana Green: I sent cupcakes as a birthday gift today. They arrived on time, however they were tipped over. I’ve ordered from Georgetown many times, however this may be my last time.
Maya Shen: Decent cupcakes, especially you like frostings, but if not, 1/2 of these cupcakes are frostings. The quality alone doesn’t justify the price as they’re quite small, the cheesecake one have lumps and cake’s not all moist, so some inconsistencies there. However the flavor profile for each cupcake is very nice, all well decorated and the store’s located at one of the best parts of Boston.
Tristen Sierra: Absolute WORST experience! I was in DC and purchased $80+ at this location. Included in my purchase was 2 ice coffees. I got on the road for a 5 hour drive and about and hour into my drive we picked up the coffees (out of the cup holders) to drink them. But unfortunately I was unable to drink them since there was a hole in the cup and the coffee went all in my cupholder and then when I took it out and turn all over both of us on the car. I am mediately called the location with no answer. I called several times and left several messages. I also reached out to their corporate location and called several times once I was holding online for an hour and then they hung up on me. The location has never called me back nor has their corporate office. I emailed the corporate office who got back to me and really could care less. All they did was offer me a gift card for my next return. After the horrible customer service that I encountered I would never returned any of their locations. But mind you in my initial email to the corporate office I explain to them that I live in New York which is five hours away from one of their locations. And I would not be going back. When I told them that unfortunately I’m not going back to your location due to these factors they completely stopped reaching out to me. This is a disgusting way to do business!
Tracy Morris: I ordered 2 dozen birthday cupcakes suppose to decorate with the little happy birthday on the top none of the cupcakes where decorated with that, just some sprinkles on top of the icing so disappointed I try calling no one answered the phone, not sure what kind of business they are running. This place was never like this.

Patrick McKenna: To start they are overpriced for what you get and there was a long line. Despite the line we decided to try it. The location is convenient, inside is nice, and the cupcakes looked delicious. As for the cupcakes themselves, the standard vanilla on vanilla was delicious. However, the chocolate peanut butter cupcake tasted horrible. The peanut butter tasted as if it was made with salted butter, and the chocolate had a burnt coffee taste to it. The purple unicorn (essentially vanilla with food coloring) tasted as if it was just cream cheese that sat out for a week as the “icing” was crunchy. The actual cupcakes were hard and lacked and sort of freshness. My wife ordered Gluten Free, and could barely get through one, as it was hard, crunchy and tasteless. The staff were cold, just pushed people along. That being said the gentleman boxing the cupcakes was amazing, super friendly and funny. For the amount we paid, we were highly disappointed. We expected so much better, especially with all the bakeries in the city. Would not recommend.
Jenny Kim: I think they’re fine if you go in person, but I would never ever order online again. I ordered cupcakes for my birthday and perhaps, in retrospect, I should have checked them in store, but they got my order wrong. When I opened the cupcakes at my party, I got really sad that they weren’t the ones I ordered. I ordered about a week in advance so they would have time to prep them, but I guess they did not. They gave me a cheaper set than the one I ordered (which had more decor). I would have been more okay with it if the store had warned me upon pickup that they couldn’t fulfill my order in the way I wanted, but they didn’t communicate that to me. I honestly had to really hold back crying (maybe dumb but it had already been a long day). Moreover, I made this online order on the official Georgetown Cupcakes website so I guess I had trusted it would have been fine. I guess I’m just disappointed and frustrated at the lack of communication and the lack of accuracy. They also initially couldn’t find my order so what should have been a quick trip took about 10 minutes while someone walked around the store and kept on searching for bags of orders until they found mine. Anyway, long story short, I think that they’re okay if you go in person, but if you’re doing an online order, please check before you leave the store. I wish I had.
Serena Ray Fox: I don’t exactly see the hype. I tried it a while ago and don’t really remember what it tasted like, all my mom said is that it wasn’t very good from what she remembered, but then I tried it again this past February and I was disappointed again. I don’t think 12 cupcakes are worth 48 dollars, I think the price is only justified because it is a popular spot in Boston.

I got the apple cinnamon which was ok but pricey $$$ for the size.The To-go packaging was super cute.My friend got the chocolate ganache and one more cupcake that had eggs so I couldn't try them but he said they were so-so.I appreciate that staff wore gloves while picking up.the vegan cupcakes and packed it separately from the non vegan cupcakes.My friend who was their customer had restroom emergency but they refused saying the restroom was closed which was unfortunate.Won't be going again, it was ok for one time.

Asked the staff why there was no fudge filling and was told they had "a fudge flavor", whatever that means. Ended up tossing them in the trash.

TwoRe La: This place use to be good, but after the pandemic they are making the cupcakes much smaller in size. I went there on Sunday and the two cupcakes that I order were hard and dry. Even the cupcake paper that they were baked in was hard to come off. The cupcakes were dry and not moist. This use to be one of my favorite cupcake places to go to in Boston but not anymore. I'm not sure if they have a new baker but I'm very disappointed. Now I'm going to try and find a new cupcakes spot in Boston.

The prices are reasonable enough, the majority of baked goods are $5 each. You owe it to yourself to grab yourself a cannoli. OH... important note: CASH ONLY. Make sure you grab yourself some cash before getting in line.

I'd say Modern, then Bova's, then Royal's (Somerville), and then Mike's.Their pastries are delish, too. But Mike's Boston Cream pie is actually better than Modern's. Either way, Modern is still my favorite pastry shop. The line moves fast, too, so don't fret. Just avoid going duting Memorial weekend... that is just bananas all around the North End

Their reputation proceeds itself and does not disappoint. There is a reason that there is almost always a line. It's freaking amazing. The cannolis are no joke. I should have opted for the smaller version just to be able to experience more of the options they offer. The traditional is as good as it gets though. Perfectly crisp shell, smooth creamy ricotta filling and loaded with chopped pistachios. And if you're a tiramisu freak, don't pass this one up. Great counter service too.

Lauren Kelly: Best cannolis in Boston. They are large and not overly sweet. They also have a wide selection of other delectable treats to order and enjoy. This is a place you stop and grab your treats to go… no indoor seating. Plan to wait in line. $5.50 cannolis cash only

Sabrina L: There was a lot of hype about this place not to mention seeing a long line . First generation Canadian with Italian /Sicilian roots so I gave it a try . The cannoli we had tasted good and there are many flavours . I was able to tell from the first bite however it’s not made authentically . Lacked the richness, was too light like whipping cream and tasted like icing sugar. The same cream seems to be used for a few different pastries . We found some pastries lacked flavour and we didn’t end up eating them all. The fig cucidatti were soft and chewy . Typically they are made with more of a cookie biscuit base . If you’re wanting something more authentic, I would try a smaller bakery that isn’t making such large batches of their pastries for large crowds.

Ben McGuire: Absolutely loved coming here. We came because of the popularity, and I can completely see why. It was packed out, and I imagine it stays like that all day long. I got a Florentine cannoli and it was heavenly. We’d just eaten a big lunch and I struggled to finish eating mine. I recommend coming in between meals if you have the chance. Be aware that they are cash only.

So bizarre when I ordered politely saying please and thank you. When she asked if I wanted powdered sugar I said no thank you and then put sugar on it three separate times, like a mountain of it. I don’t really care about that but it was weird how mean she was, it was such a bummer I didn’t even want to eat the pastry or look at the box. Or ever go to north end again when visiting.

Gaby Delint: La Sultana Bakery cuenta con una buena variedad de pan dulce colombiano de buen sabor , asimismo de cafe y chocolate caliente. Asimismo también cuenta con combinacion de comida colombiana como arroz, chicharroncitos, empanadas de pollo caldo de gallina ect.Solo que este local solo es como de tomar un cafe y pan ocualquier comida rapidamente ya que el lugar es muy pequeño y sus mesas y bancos demaciado incomodos asi que este detalle no deja disfrutar tus alimentos de una buena manera . Otra observacion mas es de que te precionan para que dejes propina al pagar aun que ya cuentan con un bote enfrente de la registeadora para que dejes lo que tu quieras , pero se ve el mal estar si no puedes o quieres dar algo de dinero, la propina seda no se debe forzar al cliente a dar sino quiere.Deporsi sus productos son bastantes elevados $$$ como para estar dejando dos o tres dolares por servirte un cafe y un pan en el mostrador.

The store can find nice people who really wants to work and provide good customer service. Is the 3rd time this happens and almost every time they get the orders wrong. This is actually one my favorite Colombian bakeries in the neighborhood. One thing I will say is that every time I go into this establishment I feel unwelcome the workers there are very rude especially to the Lgbt+ community which is an extremely uncomfortable experience & very unfortunate because their food is actually good.

Bebe Shih: Most of the complaints are about the birthday cakes. I really like their breads and cookies. But still can’t understand the price. Got similar stuff every time but sometimes it’s around $10 but there are times would be around $20, quite a range. Hopefully they can mark the prices.

Mary Lou Notaro: I ordered a cake on a Thursday for the following Tuesday during Christmas week and the writing looked rushed and poorly done. They also outlined the picture I sent them in yellow frosting for no reason, the outline wasn't straight and made the cake look bad. There also was a dab of white frosting that wasn't meant to be there. They definitely rushed the cake.

Carnival of Flavors: Love the banana muffin
Pauline Pham: Ahh Magnolia Bakery, a New York City staple now with a new location situated in Boston's touristy Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall. Magnolia Bakery occupies a small stall in Quincy Market towards the front entrance but they are able to offer all the classics. The most important: the banana pudding! I am a longtime lover of their banana pudding. Banana pudding is such a huge thing in the south but I love Magnolia Bakery's version so much that I make it at home and their recipe is the only one I stick to. I thought it was super creative of them to fuse their classic banana pudding with Boston cream pie seeing as this is BOSTON! If you like Boston cream pie, the Boston cream pie banana pudding fusion is a must.

Veronica Lane: Bought a chocolate birthday cake here and everyone loved it so much that they all asked me where I bought it. I’ve also bought a few other small cheesecakes and I really enjoyed each of them. In my opinion, this is one of the best bakeries in Greater Boston that I’ve tried.
Jenny S: As always, super tasty! I absolutely love their hazelnut coffee. Their pastries are flakey and delicious. I really love how they have mini and regular size for most of their pastries, it's very unique. It allows you to have a taste but not be overwhelmed by the normal size. I've also had their breakfast sandwiches on croissants, highly recommend! When I am in town, this is my go to place.

Mini pastries are elegantly designed, but way overpriced for one bite of dessert. The taste was flavorful, but nothing to write home about. The coconut cupcake had a nice, flaky texture, yet wasn’t very flavorful or moist.

Mona Jalal: I love everything about this baking shop. Very friendly and respectful staff, extremely delicious and fresh bakery, and great draft hazelnut coffee. They also have all the materials for making the coffee at no extra price and very conveniently located for the customers such as whole milk, 2% milk, oat milk, skim milk, creamer, sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon. The shop comes with outlet if you need to charge your phone. Greatly located near Minuteman bike path. I highly suggest the mocha icing muffin.
