Haley Peloquin: My friend had a reservation for his birthday at 8:15pm Saturday evening. We arrived right on time and were told it'd be 15-20 min wait which was totally fine because we were still waiting for one person in our party plus were all industry folk so we try to understand where we can. Almost an hour passes and my friend goes to check in on our table since nothing had been communicated further to us. After a manager explains they over booked themselves for the night, we finally get seated almost an hour and 15 minutes later with not one single apology. We ignore it, sit down, and our server comes over and seems frazzled so we give her some time to get situated. We put our orders in eventually and the food runner not only brings the wrong soup to someone at our table, but when she brings the correct soup over (my friend was just going to eat the incorrect soup because it wasn't worth complaining about plus it was good so who cares!) she physically took the incorrect lobster bisque away while his spoon was still dripping in soup getting all over the table then she put the correct tomato soup down and walked away. Not replacing the spoon, not apologizing, and we were mostly confused as to why his lobster bisque was confiscated from the table since it was half eaten and not like they could resell it. There were 6 of us at the table and I believe 5 of us ordered steaks which were all undercooked. Again, we didn't complain because at this point we just wanted to leave and we thought it was rather obvious we had been through the ringer even just after waiting over an hour for our RESERVED table. Oh we got that FULL $800+ tab with no comps, no apologies, nothing. Again, we're all service industry workers so we try to give the benefit of the doubt, but it was a hard dinner for us all to sit through!Bright sides of the dinner: the server was extremely nice and had a full section so we completely understand her being frazzled. We didn't finish dinner until 11pm (when they close) and she still offered dessert and by no means rushed us out. We didn't get her name, but did want to thank her for that we were just frustrated Saturday evening after spending good money with not the quality we were hoping for.

Hirubhai Ambani: Food was good. Wait staff was trying too hard to be friendly and funny but failed. I wish they offered more allergy friendly and vegetarian options.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options were extremely limitedDietary restrictions: Common allergens like gluten, dairy and nuts are not mentioned on the menu. Makes it difficult for people who have allergies.

R.I. Mar: Is a nice and elegant place for a dinner. We went to the Chestnut Hill location of this restaurant and enjoyed our evening at dinner. Good collection of wines, though I would recommend expanding the coverage of countries of wines in stock. Was kind of limited to drinks from France, Italy, Argentina, and some from California. There are new excellent Armenian wines in the market that would be good to add to the menu here. The service was pleasant. Food was delicious. Would recommend for sure.

Sally Donger: First time at Davio's. Not impressed. Went during restaurant week. Server lacked explanation on the special menu. Caused an embarrassing experience for us. The main course was delayed for over an hour. Only reason why 1 star, server was nice and manager did resolve our issue.

Edwin Carrasquillo: Visited to celebrate my wife's birthday. Not our first time here but from moment we walked in the Manager, Luis was very attentive and accommodating. Even sitting us at a table my wife was more comfortable with. The waiter, Jacob was also excellent in attention & service. The food was very good. Had the salmon on the restaurant week menu. Over all an excellent dinner experience.

Leslie Del Col: We had a 7:30 p.m. reservation at Davio's Chestnut Hill on a busy Saturday night. We sat down and decided to put in our drink order in right away. We waited 1.5 hours and did not receive our drinks until 8:55 p.m. We asked our server repeatedly about the drinks. A few people in our party went up to the bar to check on them, multiple times during the wait. 1.5 hours later the drinks finally came to the table. When the drinks arrived 3 of the six were not prepared properly. I am not sure what was going on, but it was unacceptable. What was also surprising is that no one ever came to speak to us, acknowledge that there was an issue, apologize or explain what was going in. Drinks should not take more than 15 minutes to get to a table. It was incredibly frustrating.

Al Yazdani: What is the point of a reservation if you wait 15 minutes for a table to be ready!- polite waiter but very slow service-the puffy bread and creamy butter was really nice- cocktails and wine were good but overpriced- kids lemonade tasted terrible- the ribeye was overcooked although we asked for rare-medium- the short rib dish was great- the calamari dish was okay- dessert ice cream was delicious but the hazelnut topping tasted stale

Karen caple: Jasmine made a very special evening even better her personality and service were impeccable. The team worked together so smoothly. Just the touch that made great food even better.

Sara Ansari: My friend and I came here for a birthday dinner, and had heard great things about their pasta dishes. Was in the mood instead for steak and fish, but was unhappy with the food. The 8oz filet mignon looked more like 4oz and didn’t come with any sides. So my friend ordered a side of mashed potatoes and mushrooms and the two almost came out to $30! So basically she spent $70 on her steak dish. I had the cod which looked amazing but was super salty. Didn’t want to send it back because service was exceptional and they really went above and beyond in spite of the food. Next time I’ll just stick with the pasta if I come here.
